Hi LTT forum! I’ve been a console gamer most of my life. I’ve recently had the chance to buy a desktop pc for which I built it myself. But while playing I think both CPU and or Graphics card are missing some performance. Both are hitting 50 to 55 degrees. I’m running an Intel i9 12900K + RTX 4070ti on a ASUS Prime Z690-A LGA 1700 with a 32 GM DDR5 Ram dual channel @ 5200mhz… Bios wise the only change I made is for the intel XMP so that RAM can run at 5200. But nothing else. Is there a guide or something I can follow to do the tuning for my specific setup??

Description When trying to open the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU), the system shows an error: Unable to start Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility because the drivers are not running. A reboot may be necessary if Intel Extreme Tuning Utility was just installed, otherwise download and install the latest version of Intel Extreme Tuning Utility from https://www.intel.com/ My PC Motherboard: ASUS TUF B660M DDR4 WIFI CPU: Intel Core 12600K Storage: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS RAM: Kingston DDR4 16G*2 3200 Events Before, I was able to open Intel Extreme Tuning Utilities normally and tried to tune the CPU frequency to 4.7GHz using Auto Overclock. I changed the CPU cooling from air cooling to 240 water cooling and removed and reinstalled the CPU from the CPU snapper, reapplied the silicone grease and spilled a bit on the capacitor on the green bezel of the front CPU, but I cleaned it up. On reboot it prompted that I had a new CPU and needed to press F1 to get into Setup. i did not make any changes and got into the system. I tried to open Intel Extreme Tuning Utilities, but it failed to open. I uninstalled it and manually cleaned all uninstall residue, then reinstalled and rebooted, but it still failed to open.

So I've installed this in all my previous laptops. But it won't install in my current one. Specs : Model : ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX516PM Processor : i7 11340H GPU: RTX 3060 BIOS: SMBIOSBIOSVersion FX516PM.322 All the previous versions I've tried didn't work either. Note: I have ASUS Armory Crate installed, have seen it creating log files in a XTU folder in C:\Program Data\Intel\Intel XTU\Logs. Not sure if this has to do with anything, but thought to mention it here. Can anyone help?

Everytime I try to adjust my gpu settings on my power color using amd tuning settings and set it to custom no matter if I change any settings or not my drivers always bug out and force a reset which messes with all graphics and gives me an error code for driver crashes does anybody know what to do because I do know that the rx 6700 xt is currently amds problem child with drivers but does anybody know how to fix it.

Hello everyone, I watched Steve's video (Hardware Unboxed) in regards RYZEN RAM tuning yesterday, but I have a few questions addressed before I actually start testing the values shown to me by the tuning tool. Video for those curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOqhyVNPhaM Following Steve's guide - I got this results from the tool provided by 1usmus (Fast Preset) *attached* What I was wondering at the moment is that the CLDO VDDP Voltage values I can only set is 700 no matter what values I set it into. Tuning Tool tells me that I should set either 0.700 or 1.100 but the bios is not allowing me that. So my question is - should I set it 700 or leave it to Auto? I have no idea what's the equivalent value of that numbers since the test happened on MSI Board on the video while I have an ASUS Board. Two more additional questions: 1. I can't spot the FCLK option on my BIOS, can anyone tell me where to find it? 2. It seems ASUS is somewhat using different/slightly different namings on some options available on the DRAM Tuning page of the BIOS, if anyone can clarify the names for me as well I would be greatful. Thanks! My system specs: AMD RYZEN 5 2600 16GB DDR4 3200 CL16 F4-3200C16D-16GTZRX ASUS PRIME X370 PRO (BIOS 5008 AGESA 1.0.0.2 - 6/24/2019)

I've always been fast with learning some of these concepts with computers although i have a few questions and ideas. Why do we need an expensive "Tech II" device for tuning and diagnosing issues with cars. My 2005 Corvette uses its old ecm module and needs this big overpriced tech II device for tuning and diagnostics and my phone and gaming pc are so capable... cant we just bluetooth adapter link to the obdII and run/ emulate the same programs? The supposed "uncrackable" remote tuners should be usable too if the values are downloaded. just a thought thank you

Within my Windows 10 Audio settings for my headset (Hyper X Cloud Stinger), the bass adjustments have me a little confused. Currently it's frequency is set to 80 Hz @ 6 db but what exactly does it mean if I change this? I know there's selections that range from 50 to 600 hz. Additionally the boost level can be tweaked from none to 24 db, but are these levels at said frequencies always active? If not & bass boost is only activated on the selected frequency, which should I have it set at to produce the most realistic yet bass filled sound? I know this is probably entirely a preference based thing but I make better decisions when I'm influenced by others with more experience than me. So please, fire away on whatever suggestions ya got.

I've been using XMP profile for my memory and was curious to see the performance gains if I tighten the timings. I kept failing even though I followed the exact steps multiple times. Everytime I try to do it, it reboot multiple times without windows posting. When it does boot up windows, it's using default memory speed (2667 Mhz) Is it just not possible for this spesific memory? Hello I would like to have some recommendations of how to adjust my chassi fans and where is it best to plug in. I have three fans on front in a 3pin hub and one on back. The three front fans are phanteks fans and the back fan is Corsair hd120 but somehow the Corsair is super loud and gets high speed out of nowhere and the phanteks just stops spinning making it really annoying with the noise. Motherboard: Asus Z270F

Hello, I'm rather new to the Linus community, in fact, this is my first post. I've been following his youtube channel for well over a year now and found his tips helpful in the past. However, I'm having some trouble with my new PC build. I recently found myself being forced to build a new PC because some of my old PC parts finally gave in and were unrecoverable. So I went online and purchased a new motherboard along with the Ryzen 1700x and ram along with a liquid cooler by corsair. The PC is running, it works, I can work and game on it. However, the performance isn't quite what I had hoped coming from what I had. I AM still using the same GPU I had in my old build as I had just ripped it from the old build and put it into the new one. I have my OS running on an SSD along with most of my games on an SSHD and another SSD for those games needing the extra performance from it. However, as I said, the performance I'm getting from it isn't quite what I had expected. So!, I'm here asking, may I ask for a tutorial on tuning my PC based on my specific specs? if it's not too selfish of me of course! I have Ryzen 1700x Asus Prime X-370-Pro (latest bios) Corsair H60 hydro series liquid cooler Corsair Vengence RGB 16gb DDR4 3200 (according to Amazon it was made for Intel but they work with my build regardless?) Asus GTX 960 4GB STRIX I'm not including the storage I have as I don't know if those parts matter to this kind of thing. I know this seems random to request such a thing. But honestly. every damn tutorial I've looked up in regards to tweaking and tuning my build is either using different components that make the tutorial almost useless to me. OR they're using a version of the bios I don't seem to have access to. I have no clue what to do to make my PC run as smoothly and stable as possible. If you can't do it could you point me to a tutorial that does use these components??? I'd very much like to eek out as much power as possible to make it run smoothly. I'm going from an AMD FX 8350 to a Ryzen 1700x build so you can imagine the drastic change in performance I'm expecting yet for some reason It's not quite....what I had hoped. At least not out of the box.

So I have an Intel I7-7700k on a Corsair aio, and it is overclocked to 5.3 ghz with a max power of 1.6 volts, and a cache ratio of 5.4 ghz. Every time I run a CPU stress test with Intel XTU, the utilization and heat goes up, but the speed stays at a contant 3.6 ghz. why is that? It is not thermal throttling. Thanks. Puffy

Hey guys, so yesterday I installed my new Fans in my PC (2x Silentwings 2 140mm), connected them to my Motherboard (ASRock Fatal1ty H97 Performance) and then I set them both to always 100% in the Fatal1ty or ASRock F-Stream Tuning Utility. One of the Fans is on CPU Fan 2 Connector on the Motherboard, and CPU fan is on the CPU Fan 1 connector. In the tuning Utility I klicked onto "Start Fan Test" at "CPU Fan 1 & 2".. Now the maximum speed of the CPU Fan which is the Stock cooler of my Xeon E3 1231v3 is 900rpm or what could possibly be the exact speed of the Silentwings 2. Deleting the software or restarting didn't help, it reached ~80*C then I turned it off. Now - Should I just plug the Silentwings 2 out and plug it into the last free fan "port" which is "PWR FAN" and then test the CPU Fan again when only the CPU Fan is connected? I know it's a bit of a complicated story and I am not a native english speaker, but I tried my best Thanks.

As Intel reported a few days ago, they plan to showcase how to overclock at least some of their solid-state drives at the upcoming Intel Developer Forum trade-show. It turns out that the company’s Intel extreme tuning utility (Intel XTU) already carries certain code that futher reveals overclocking capabilities of Intel SSDs. The code will be activated in next versions of XTU and will allow to boost performance of solid-state storage. These parts of the code reveal that intel XTU will allow to set the frequency of the SSD controllers, set the bus frequency of the NAND memory at 83MHz or 100MHz and also modify the power settings between "limited" "typical" or "unconstrained" to adjust the balance between performance and power consumption. Unfortunately XTU only allows tuning performance of only specified SSDs, so not all SSDs will be overclockable. Hopefully other manufacturers will follow suit with their own SSD utilities. Intel Developer Forum 2013 will take place from September 10 to 12 so expect more news during that event. Source: http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/storage/display/20130827235544_Further_Details_Regarding_Intel_SSD_Overclocking_Emerge.html Above all I'm curious how much difference this will do to random access read and writes, sequential speeds are already at the point where overclocking would be bottlenecked by the SATA interface, although Intel plans to launch the SATA express interface next year which should increase transfer rates to 8 or 16Gb/s

I overclocked my Intel Core i7 4770k to 4.5GHz yesterday and spent the rest of that day stress testing and making sure its 100% stable. I Stress Tested using Intel Extreme Tuning Utlity for a total of 8 hours with no crashes I got a ETU Benchmark score of 877 (Is that good or bad?) Max temp came out at 79C (H100i Cooler) Running OC at 1.26v Is it safe to say that I'm stable?

As the title says. Im having some trouble with my motherboard.(at least i think its motherboards or my own fault) i cant get manual stable overclock. but auto 40% oc is 100% stable. i would like to get same peformence as im getting now but with lower temps, at the moment i have my cpu running at @4,4ghz and 1,38core voltage i5 4670k and antec kuhler 1220 cpu cooler. the voltage is problem. if i use manual coltage setting i cant get stable overclock, freezes or just craches(mostly freezing). and lately it been realy hot outside, nearly everyday 32C and cpu is hitting idle 40C. so thats all. So is there any one who could help me get stable manual clock with lower voltage? Ps: sorry for bad english.
