Alright lads, here's the dilemma. Time to upgrade from my 1080p dual monitor setup. I game a lot, but also study IT and would like to have the real estate of 3 monitors. Choice 1: 27" 1440p Main Monitor 2 27" 1080p Secondary Monitors OR Choice 2: 32" 1440p Main Monitor 2 27" 1080p Secondary Monitors Any thoughts? While were at it, curved or flat?

So within the past week I have had power supple issues recently just upgraded to a 750w. But after that my pc has been running triple ram and only reading 12 gbs when I have 16 and CPU-Z reads it but says my rams running in triple. In bios it says I have 16gbs of ram too. I don't know what to do to fix this issue. If anyone can help that would be great.

Hi! Im planning to make a setup with a rx 5700 xt, a ultrawide 1080p displayport freesync monitor ( lg 29um69g b ) and two normal 1080p HDMI freesync monitors ( Philips 241E1SCA/00 ). All monitors are 75hz. I did a lot of research, but I really cant find it properly. Can you use the three monitors in eyefinity, with one displayport and two passive displayport to HDMI adapters and how does freesync work on this? I hope you can help me, Bram, the Netherlands

Hey Linus Media Group Why don't you install a sliding window type of mechanism for the external monitors like in the ones in the fast food joints? so you can easily slide the external displays to the main laptop, but i hope the cables doesnt overlap Just a suggestion Good Luck

Guys i'm a bit baffled, i'm debating adding a 4th monitor to my work PC, but after checking the specs of my GTX460, i am a bit lost. I'm currently running 5760x1080@60 across 3 1080p monitors, using only one output from my GFX card and going into a Matrox triplehead splitter. I did this because i knew my card only supports a max of 2 monitors connected to the card. So my thinking was that i can still use another port from the card to hook up a 4th screen. I knew that this would mean contending with the max resolution of the card instead of max number of ports, so i checked that online, and nvidia claim the GTX460 has a max digital resolution of 2560x1600@60....... How then am i pushing 5760x1080@60 to my 3 monitors ? Baffled, help plz

I have a triple monitor setup that is quite unusual - one 1080p monitor, then two different 4:3 aspect ratio monitors from other computers. They are all hooked up to my GTX 970, and Windows 10 will let me do some basic positioning, but when it comes to fixing the offset between them (caused by the fact that the 1080p monitor is actually shorter than the lower-resolution 4:3 monitor next to it) there has not been any easy solutions. Also, due to the fact that they are all different resolutions, they do not play nice with each other when I want to have full-screen content span all three of them. What software can I use to perfect my monitor settings? Is there any software that would allow me to perfectly align them or fullscreen content across all three? Or am I screwed because of the different resolutions? Here's the specs of the monitors from left to right if it helps: 1024x768, DVI, 12" wide by 9" high 1280x1024, DVI, 15" wide by 12" high 1920x1080, HDMI, 18.5" wide by 10.5" high Thanks in advance for any support you guys can give!

Hi, I am in the market for buying some monitors for a triple monitor setup. Ideally, I would like 144hz monitors at 1080p all around, and I found 2 good panels on massdrop, it's just that one is curved and the other is flat. Therefore, should I go with 3 flat panels or 3 curved panels? I have desk space, so it's fine. I have just fixed up my new setup which is running a 3440x1440 UW monitor in the middle and one 1920x1080 one each side of it, so a total wide resolution of 7280p. But now I need a wallpaper setup guys! and I cant figure it out.. I either need a 7280x1440p wallpaper or three different ones that match and make sense.

Thinking of getting three of these to make a triple monitor setup. Are they the best choice? http://www.ebuyer.com/748121-lg-22mp68vq-21-5-ips-full-hd-monitor-22mp68vq-p?mkwid=s_dc&pcrid=51508043699&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=CMfswYexx9ECFY8Q0wod4ZQAAA

This has been the most painfully irritating build i have ever attempted, but i finally have a desktop machine that can boot Linux Mint 18, OSX Sierra and Windows 10, but it has many quirks. I noticed that triple/quad booting has been asked about on the web for years but nobody has ever really done a good case study of how on earth you do it, least of all with pictures and guides. Ill just give a quick run down of what we have here. The machine is a lenovo thinkcenter E73 tower, OEM machine with only upgrade being the 9800GT, it has a 128GB sata SSD and a 1TB HDD. First step was to install the hackintosh on the entire SSD using clover and the fantastic instructions on TonyMacx86. Spend weeks trying to figure out how kexts work and getting the nvidia web driver to run persistently, a basic tutorial on clover configurator comes in handy here. So once OSX was installed, i then introduced the 1TB HDD to the system and installed windows 10 on it in the usual manner, just boot off the USB stick and give windows the entire 1TB. From here on i believe you are at the mercy of your UEFI whether the windows bootloader makes it onto the SSD where it should go, or whether windows craps out and put it on the HDD. In my case windows put it's bootloader into the EFI partition of the SSD, therefore clover was able to see it and i was instantly given a windows option in clover. 2 down one to go. Finally in order to cram linux mint onto the machine, i refrained from shrinking the NTFS partition from within windows as this screwed everything the first time i did it, partition table went completely out of whack. instead, at this point simply boot off the live Mint setup USB, and proceed to install, Mint will detect the windows bootloader (but not the OSX one) and prompt you to install alongside windows. At this point i used the linux setup to cut the 1TB in half and installed mint into the second half. When mint has finished installing, reboot into clover and you should now have a linux boot option. In my case, the installation of linux destroyed my ability to boot windows from clover, but i was still able to boot windows from grub, which appears after you select linux from clover, ugly i know. The fix i found for this was to boot back into Mint and run sudo update-grub, which then rejiggers all the bootloaders around into their right places, after this, i was able to boot all 3 OS's from clover, as well as the OSX recovery partition (doesn't quite count as a quad-boot right ?) The main issue i found with this project was the trial and error nature of screwing up bootloaders and having to start again, clover is a bit fragile when it comes to making it boot more than just OSX. Essentially this machine went through about 5 iterations before it was finally stable. In summary, windows 10 and Mint run perfectly on the hardware as you would expect, but that's the easy bit, the challenge lies with making OSX happy with "peasant grade" non proprietary hardware, and this almost entirely revolves around onboard realtek audio. From what i can tell, clover has kexts for basically any realtek 3.5mm jack bay that has 5 ports, but seeing as i have this weird OEM machine, i only have a bay of 3 x 3.5mm jacks, and this is tragically not supported AFAIK. i solved this by cannibalising a USB DAC, velcro-ing it to the floor of the case, and running XLR's out of the rear I/O, looks janky as hell but works a charm, and the sound quality is far superior to the onboard anyway. One final thing i was unable to get working within OSX was hardware reporting like CPU temps and stuff, from what i can tell this is all low-level apple kernel stuff that goes over my head, but hopefully someone can make or port a kext for this functionality. Thanks for reading anyway guys i just wanted to share what i learnt building this frankenstein PC, as i know many of you are interested in the concept of multiple OS's on a PC, but are maybe confused as to where you even start. Hell guys. First of all, sorry for my English. I have the following setup : 3 X Asus ROG Swift PG279Q and 2 X Asus Strix 1080TI. I am running at SLI so i am able to connect my monitors only at my first GPU. My problem is, I want to run all of my monitors at 165hz and i am able to do that only at DP. The problem is that the Asus Strix has only two (2) DP and 2 HDMI. I searched all the web and i cant find anything that belongs to me. Maybe i want a cable from DP to HDMI? Maybe i want an adaptor? I cant find what i need and i hope that you can help me guys. Thanks in advance and again, sorry for my english

Good afternoon everyone, I have one 23'' monitor on the left, one 34'' monitor in the middle and one 23'' monitor on the right. The one in the middle is the Acer Predator X34 and the ones on each sides are Asus VP239H-P. Now my problem is that I made my researches on the web to find a triple monitor stand that would fit all three of them and I couldn't find anything, most of them barely holds up to 32'' monitors. I am also worried that all three of the monitors wouldn't fit on the stand. What do you guys have to suggest ? I really want to mount them, that would allow me to have more space on the desk and of course make it look much cleaner. Thanks, Pascal

Hi all Been a long time since I posted on here. Many years have flown by. Anyways to the point. I am the lucky owner of 3x 4k Asus monitors. I am currently running a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming OC 8GB with allow me to play 4k game very reasonably. But clearly not at 11520x2160 Resolution. I am happy to gaming at 50 to 60fps. Before I forget I am on X99 platform with a Intel i7 6800k@ 4.1ghz. So the question is do I buy a single 1080ti, a second 1080 (SLI) or even two 1080ti (this option would be done in two stages)? Thanks AJ Ps Profile System updated so far

I have three monitors connected to my MSI GTX 1060 6GB. They are all 1080p but one is 144hz and the others are 60. They have functioned flawlessly but just a few minutes ago I woke my computer up and my 144hz was not detecting any input. It is connected via Displayport to the GPU. I tried using in different ports and they all worked but only when just two monitors were plugged in. As soon as the third was plugged in, the 144hz would stop detecting input. One of the ports on the GPU is messed up from a user error so I can't test it but I have no idea what the issue. Everything was fine a few hours ago. This particular card has an issue with the fan at the back where it won't spin and the front fan will spin as fast as possible. I then flick the back fan and it starts spinning and the front one slows down and they both stop or spin slowly. I know that I need to RMA the card, but could this be related to the monitor issue? Any help is appreciated!

Hi, I have 3 Lenovo 1440p monitors. Two of my monitors are using display cables while one one of them are using HDMI (HDMI is main monitor that does not flicker. I'm using it as a main because of that issue). I have an issue where the display cable monitors are flickering during PUBG (only PUBG no other game). I typically use the two monitors for discord and youtube. However this just gets annoying seeing a constant flicker left and right. I play PUBG at high settings at 1440p. I've adjusted the graphics down to 1080p at very low settings I've got not where. My GPU driver is uptodate. Do any of you guys got any idea or solutions? P.S. I'm not using any adapters and all the cables support up to 4k My PC build is below Case: NZXT Phantom Green CPU: AMD FX-8320 Graphics Card: Radeon RX 580 8GB RAM: G.Skill 16GB DDR3 1600 Motherboard: MSI-970A-G43 PSU: Evga 850 B3 Storage: 7200 RPM 3.5 TB (Raid 0) Sandisk 120 GB SSD Sandisk 240 GB SSD Gaming Setup: Monitors: 3 Lenovo 23.8'' Monitors 60hz ( 2560×1440) Keyboard: Razer Chroma (2016) Mouse: UtechSmart Venus 16400 DPI mouse Headset: Logitech G230 (Sorry if this isnt the right section I just assumed this would be a good spot for this thread)

Now that Win10 has been out for a while I'm curious as to how the triple screen with Nvidia Surround works. I know that Win10 finally natively does the 4 corner snapping per monitor which is SUPER nice, but not enough for me to transfer over to 10. Is Surround still terrible, or does Win10 support it any better? Currently on Win7 I can use a hot key to go in/out of surround, but coming out it goes back to single screen mode and I have to winkey+P to extend back to triples. And once in surround it still kind of freaks out the snapping. The side snaps take half of all screen space, but fullscreen snaps USUALLY only take up one monitor. Is this the same in Win10? Also, is there any other fun tips or tricks that Win10 can do with triples?

Okay, so I need you guys' help with choosing an ultrawide monitor. I have been googleing for F**KING YEARS (so 4 months) for a monitor of my required specs AND of low price point. (keep in mind that I live in Australia and our import taxes are shit. If anyone knows of a monitor with the following specs, that'd be great if you mention it. Will be using a GTX 1080FTW2 as GPU. Specs Required: - 3440x1440p - Curved* - 100Hz* - 38 inch max* - Looks gorgeous* - G-sync (NOT FREESYNC) - Max of 10ms response time (only if other specs are included) - Display port input A max of 2 of the required specs marked with a "*" can missing for me to be cool with the purchase. So your help is SUPER GREATLY appreciated and I just need a few more hands to help search! Other comments: Won't be buying it anytime soon, maybe in 6 months or so as I need to save- so no sales! I can sell my current monitor(AOC 2770G4) for about $200-300AUD. I play a HUGE range of games so yeahhhh. Steam library: http://steamcommunity.com/id/jimmi8157/games/?tab=all Thanks guys! Your help is appreciated

I'm gonna use a 24" 1080 monitor and two 19" 1280x1024 monitors for eyefinity gameing. It's my country house (where my grandparents live) setup. Right now I have a core i3 4170 and I plan to pop inside a 380x. Is the CPU gonna bottleneck the GPU terribly , are the two extra monitors gonna put more load on the CPU and is there something that I miss in the overall plan? Thank you!

I'm looking for the best monitor for a triple monitor setup. I'll use it for web development and programming as well as some gaming. Probably 1080p monitors because my GTX 1060 can't handle 1440p or 2160p. The monitors must have thin bezels and a good looking display. Response time and refresh rate don't really matter because I don't play any FPS games. I'm not sure if 24" or 27" (i have the space). Price shouldn't be more than $300 per display.I found these two monitors:Dell U2417hAsus VN279qlbWhat do you think about them? Which one do you prefer? Do you have any other recommendations?Thank you!

Hey sorry if this is the wrong area, not sure where to post about it. I am look for a desk that can fit 3 monitors, 2 24inch monitors, and 1 27inch, as well as my computer, as I do not want it sitting on the floor. Currently I have no plans on using a monitor mount, however I would be open to the idea - provided the desk is good enough to not break like many ikea tables do if you try to mount your monitors on them. The case I have is the LIAN LI PC-O11 Dynamic, so it is quite large. I am worried about the max weight the desk can hold as well. Any suggestions are appreciated.
