Did they work on featured frequency 3200/3600 mhz? I bought a single Tridentz stick couple of years ago and ordered new one today. Thing is my old one is Hynix made and new one is from Samsung. Speed, latency, voltage, everything is identical. So, what are my chances to get both of them to work together at 3200mMhz?

Hey guys I was wondering IF any of you know why only one stick of Ram is lit up. Its G Skill Trident Z 3600 16GB Ram and I'm using the Razer Synapse software and the Razer ARGB controller to control my setups RGB. I've had both light up before and both sticks are showing up. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if its just a different unit of measurement im not as familiar with or is my ram super slow for some reason. Ive enabled X.M.P and speeds are set to 3600 did I potentially do something wrong or is there more I need to do? My system still seems to run great just want to get the full potential of my hardware that I can. Cam software is showing all 4 sticks as: G.Skill F4-3600oc18-8gtzrx DDR4 Frequency: 1066mhz Type: ddr4 Timings: 15 - 15 - 15 - 36

Hi guys, I'm quite confused with the motherboard and memory relationship. For instance, i chose a Asrock X570 Pro4 and scroll to the Memory section. I see this AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Matisse), AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Pinnacle Ridge) and AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Picasso) . I'm trying to get a F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX Trident Z RGB (For AMD) 2x8gb 3600mhz. However, I see that Pinnacle Ridge and Picasso doesn't support 3600mhz, can someone explain to me what this Matisse, Pinnacle Ridge and Picasso means?

I'm still looking for the best DDR4 to pair with my Asus Z270E & i7-7700k. If I understood correctly, my board will handle RAM up to 3866Mhz. The price is quite similar in here where I live, the product is the same, just different speed and latency. Which one I should get? I know there isn't a huge difference but there still should be a difference. G.Skill Trident Z 3200Mhz CL14 G.Skill Trident Z 3600Mhz CL16 Thank you in advance!

Hi guys! Noob question here - I have an MSI Z170 Krait paired with an i5-6600k and I'm planning to get my second DDR4 Kit from G.Skill before prices suddenly bump up and I'm wondering if it will be compatible. I was looking at the MSI memory support list here and I'm not sure if they support two of the Trident Z 8GB(4GBx2) 3200MHz kit. I was basing my assumption on the check marks on the MSI memory support list where only had 2 checks. I don't know if I'm just reading it wrong since the table they made was not that good because the check marks could be confused with either being 1&2 or 2&4 - they could've added more columns instead. Will two similar kits like this work with XMP and still run at 3200MHz or will they go back to 2133MHz if they don't work? or should I scrap this and save up for a Quad Channel kit instead?

hello people! i am building a ryzen 5 pc, using the mobo x370 msi gaming pro carbon (idk if it matters) and already bought 16gb of trident z rgb, i wanted to buy an air cooler, and my budget is about 50-60$ i was gonna go for the dark rock 3 that i found for just under 55, but i am concearned with ram clearance... do you know if that would work? i will be using just 2 dimms so maybe the ram wont even touch the cooler but im not sure yet i just need some advice, thanks.

Memory maker G.Skill had just announced their new Trident Z RGB memory kit, designed specifically for AMD Ryzen and Threadripper platforms. These brand new rams are available in the capacity of 16GB and all the way up to 128GB, with ram bundle in 2, 4, or 8 sticks per kit. They start at 2400MHz and can reach up to 3200MHz. For example: It even supports DOCP for boards that AMD Ryzen or Threadripper boards that supports this feature. Now to tell the difference between these new Trident Z RGB vs the old ones, the new ones will have a X at the end of the product model number. Expected availability for them, should be around October. No price on them yet. While still on this Trident Z ram, I just noticed some are triple fins and others are dual fins. https://www.anandtech.com/show/11866/gskill-announces-new-amd-compatible-trident-z-rgb-kits

Trident Z RGB - Ryzen Compatibility
Dissitesuxba11s posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I was looking to build a rig that used a Ryzen 7 1700, ASUS Crosshair VI Hero, and G. Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB (8x2) 3200. I bought the RAM sticks the other week because they were on sale on Newegg but just found out that I got the CAS 16 variants and not the CAS 14 ones. Just to verify compatibility, I emailed ASUS and their response can be seen below. My question for you guys is has anybody used (and successfully reached stability at 3200mHz or more) the Trident Z RGB (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) on their Ryzen based rig? -
Here's my setup Memory - Trident Z RGB 2x8gb MoBo - Asrock AB350m Pro4 CPU - Ryzen 1700 Problem: How can I control the RGB of my Trident z. the beta software is not working. is it because I don't have an RGB mobo (like strix mobo or x370 mobos)? Thanks guys

Right now I have a set of Dominator Platinum RAM, but unfortunately I'm running into clearance issues with my rear mounted radiator. Could anyone with Trident Z (RGB) RAM please let me know if the top of your RAM is higher or lower than the top of your IO shield? (If its lower then I can fit it) Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi all, I need to e get some new RAM and want to ask anybody that owns Trident Z RAM to tell me whether the top of your RAM is taller than the top of your IO shield. Need to check clearance before I buy! Thanks in advance

Simple question here, I'm buying the following Ryzen 7 3700x Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Dan cases a4 sfx I was going for the flare x which came out with ryzen 1st gen I believe, trident z neo came out and looked like a priced up flare x and it confused me why there was even talk about the product since the extreme prices of it. Question remains what is the best set of ram for a ryzen 7 cpu, I'm looking for a good 3200 to 3800mhz cl14 kit for under 200 euro, something that will fit the dan case a4 sfx.

G.SKILL is launching a new family of the RGB Trident Z RAM sticks with the new 'Neo' name. These sticks feature slightly changed looks on the heat spreaders but still have all the same RGB functionality of previous Trident Z sticks. G.SKILL also announced the frequencies and timings of the new kits. Pretty interesting to see how Ryzen 3000 chips will scale with the faster performing memory and how that will actually reflect in gaming/production workloads. Personally, these look like standard Trident Z's to me and I've never been a big fan of the RGB on memory. https://www.guru3d.com/news-stg-skill-announces-trident-z-nmemory-series-for-ryzen-3000-x570-platform.html

The weird thing is, I swapped my trident z 3200 cl14 in his , adjusted timings( d.o.c.p) and everything seems to run perfectly. No crashing. I put the corsair in mine (home built) w/ Asus maximus hero wifi. Seems to work fine, no video card yet so can't test gamesbut p95, memtest & cinebench pass just fine. The corsair RAM he received is listed on the ASUS QVL list, Mine is not. Does anyone have any idea what would be the problem. Should he pay the shipping$50 and send it back for warranty? Just buy new ram? Or is there something else?

So for xmas i built my second computer. I recently learned that ram doesnt start speed isnt what you buy it as and you have to overclock it to have it at a higher speed. I have 3200mhz trident z rgb ram paired with a ryzen 2700x on a asus crosshair xii hero (wifi) motherboard. Now when i went into the bios and overclocked the ram i set to 3200mhz and pc wouldn't start. so i lowered it to 3000mhz and booted with no issues. So i was wondering why i cant get it to 3200mhz. any information or advice is greatly appreciated.

So I completed my build today and I'm facing a ridiculous problem. Whenever I restart my PC from BIOS Setup or Windows it doesn't POST anything. Sometimes it boots but doesn't POST (I guessed it by watching ram's rgb profile changed which I made). But if I completely shut it down and after a few seconds turn it on, it posts and boots perfectly. And all the components just works fine. I ran some games and didn't notice any problems. It's not a ram problem I am sure. I tested both rams individually and both of them were working perfectly. But none of them were able to reboot my pc. So I guess the problem is somewhere else. I also reset BIOS using the button. It didn't help either.PLEASE HELP,My rig:Mobo: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGECpu: RYZEN 7 3700XRam: G. So the story goes like this, It worked fine with both G.skill & MSI mystic light software when I finished building my PC. But after a week, I wanted to cycle my ram through 2 colors, which you can't with the G.skill & MSI software. So, after a bit of research, I've read an old post (2017) somewhere on Reddit or some other forums posted that you can download & use Asus aura sync on an MSi motherboard to control the trident z RGB lighting, and the aura software supported 2 color cycling. So just like that, I went to Asus's website & downloaded the Aura Sync software (yes I'm kinda an idiot for doing this). But when I tried install the software it went halfway & stuck at AaC.HAL or something close to that. In the end, I just canceled the installation and leave it be. After that I've noticed that my RAM can't change color nor can be recognized by both software.UPDATE: Tried my RAM on a friend's PC who uses an ASUS Strix B450-F Mobo, G.skill software won't work on the RAM either but the Asus Aura Sync Software recognized the RAM & able to change colour. What I've tried :-Delete & Removing anything that is related to Asus (Manually & used CCleaner too)-Uninstalling & reinstalling G.Skill software & MSI Mystic Light software-Re-seated the RAM-Uninstalling all RGB software from the computer & reinstalling G.skillSpecification :MOBO : MSI B450 Carbon Pro ACCPU : Ryzen 7 2700XGPU : Gigabyte GTX 1070 Windforce OCRAM : G.skill Trident Z NEO 32GB 3600MHZ

Before I upgraded to my Ryzen 5 3600, I bought a 32gb kit of Trident Z RAM. I had a Gigabyte Aorus z370 motherboard at the time, and the RGB synced perfectly using RGB Fusion. But when I finally upgraded to my MSI X570 Gaming Edge Wifi board with Ryzen, the RGB is stuck on Rainbow Wave and it is not detected by the MSI Mystic Light software. Nor can I find it under my Corsair software that controls my AIO (not sure if this is normal or not, the cooler was installed the same time as the mobo/cpu) But I also tried installing the G.Skill app, and I can't change any settings there either. The RAM is detected just fine with CPU-Z. I did read that RGB software can conflict with each other so I did try to uninstall one and try the other and visa versa with no effect. I tried swapping the sticks around also. Getting deeper into research, I discovered that it might be an issue with the RAM's SPD, so I downloaded Tiaphoon Burner, however is says my CRC is ok. (Also pretty sure my MSI board doesn't have an SPD write function... I looked all over for it.) Here is the kicker. I still have the old z370 board. I plugged it in, and the RAM synced right up with RGB Fusion, just like before. If the SPD *is* corrupted, can someone please give me a comprehensive, very noob-friendly walkthrough so that I can hopefully get it fixed confidently? Thanks!

To be honest, I've had issues with the mobo, ram and LED strips again. I downloaded the most recent lighting software for my mobo and just left it. The ASUS AURA software is really unreliable. Unfortunately, there isn't just one solution that works for everyone. I'd suggest try to do one thing slowly at a time and not try to install too many software at once. i.e. dont install Asus Aura and G.Skill's software. I used the revo uninstaller to completely remove the asus aura because during one of the runs something got corrupted and the file wasn't fully removed. The bios comment was related to an option of turning off or on LED functionality right in the bios options. I'd google it based on your mobo manufacturer. If you're frustrated, you're not alone. . Good luck guys.
