I have a TP Link C211 camera looking at my front door and I've linked it to my Google Home account on the Nest Hub. But I only get Voice notifications, when I first set it up, the first few times it was also showing the clip of the motion at the door and what not. Now it just says there's motion at the front door but I have to tell it go to the camera screen to see it. I can't leave it running 24/7 on the camera screen because after a while it goes back to home screen. Any advice is greatly appreciated

I recently upgraded the router I use as an AP from a WiFi 5 Asus (RT-ACRH17) to a Wifi 6E TpLink (AXE95) and am getting weird results especially with 6ghz. Speeds are better when within ~5ft but quickly fall off... <3ft - 800-900mbps ~5ft - 750-850mbps ~10ft - ~400mbps ~15ft - ~350mbps ~20ft - ~220mbps ~25ft - 50-100mbps, sometimes disconnects or reports 'no internet, connected' >~35ft - no signal (Speedtests are local to the router using iPerf) I assume this isn't expected for 6Ghz/6E, 5ghz seems to work fine and has MUCH better speeds at range, where I'm getting barely 100mbps on 6Ghz I can get 500-600mbps on 5GHz... These are all from my ZFold 3, testing with a Z13 that also supports 6E gives better results across the board but speeds still tank, <3ft I can see ~1.4gbps and ~20-25ft It's ~250-300mbps. I haven't noticed disconnection issues on the Z13 (though I also haven't used it on wifi as much). Any recommendations before I just return this one and pick up a different device (probably an ROG Rapture AXE11000)? I've tried changing a number of settings in the current TPLink router including setting static channels, disabling 2.4/5ghz, OFDMA, TWT, WMM. with no real changes. The router is in AP mode, connected to an unmanaged switch at 2.5g which has a 10g link to the router. Other devices has no issues saturating their 2.5g links so I doubt it's a switch issue.

Hi there! I'm looking to buy a 3 piece mesh network. I found the Cudy M3000 with AX3000 Wifi6 speed, seems decent. The tplink deco x50 also seems decent but a 3 pack will cost significantly more. Is Cudy a good choice? I can't find people talking about their mesh solutions. Thanks in advance!

Heya, I've bought two APs in the title to connect one house to the other into a one network. The first house has a new fiber cable with router and everything and from that router theres a new cable to the AP on the roof. Second AP is setup to be a client, the cable is used from the previous antenna, but tested and working. Issue is the internet in the other building (with client AP) keeps disconnecting randomly for few seconds, up to a minute and i cant figure out why. There's a tree on the way from one ap to another, but shouldn't be much of a problem, since there are no leaves on it in November Any ideas what might be causing this issue and how to fix it?

Okay, first of all, I know powerline is not the best solution to networking but it is easy and kind of reliable, this said, here goes my issue: I've had a powerline and it works well, although a bit slow but that is not my current concern. Every Single Day my powerline stops working (No internet connection) at around 8PM or 9PM, restarting it seems to do nothing, and the problem is not with the main router, as it works perfectly. What could be causing this? Is the powerline just old?

Hi everyone, Can anyone share the list of TP-Link routers that support configuring NordVPN directly on their router's page settings? I cant find it on NordVPN website or anywhere.... Regards

I dont know what am I missing here. I have some EZVIZ cheap security cameras, they do work fine and I can access the RTSP Stream while being on my local network without any problem from any Android app or VLC. Since a couple of weeks ago my ISP provided me a public/static IP address. I can now open ports at my will on my TP-Link Archer C80 router without any problem. I wanted to access the RTSP stream of my cameras from outside of my network cause RTSP apps are just faster to open compared to the native EZVIZ app. The URL follows this format for local access: rtsp://admin:[password]@192.168.0.X:554/H.264 I thought I just needed to replace the local ip and the port that I opened for that camera (which is correctly forwarded on my router (External 554 -> Internal 554 to the corresponded IP) rtsp://admin:[password]@[mypublicip]:554/H.264 but it doesnt work. Can someone point where am I failing at? TIA

Hi everyone, So recently I was going through my router to understand some of the settings. Its a TP-Link router (model TL-WR940N). I noticed on the Status page that there is this secondary connection with its own IP address. I understand the IP address of LAN and WAN parts but what is the point of the Secondary connection and the IP it provides? LAN MAC Address: 60-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx IP Address: 192.168.x.x Subnet Mask: 255.xxx.xxx.x WAN MAC Address: 60-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx IP Address: 100.xx.xxx.xx PPPoE(Connect Automatically) Subnet Mask: 255.xxx.xxx.xxx Default Gateway: 113.xxx.xxx.xxx DNS Server: 192.xxx.xx.xx , 192.xxx.xx.xx Online Time: 1 day(s) 01:33:20 Secondary Connection IP Address: 10.xx.xx.xx Dynamic IP Subnet Mask: 255.xxx.xxx.x

Hi, Recently my Asus AC-RT88u wireless router (https://www.asus.com/au/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-wifi-routers/rt-ac88u/techspec/) has decided not want to connect via WAN port with my TP-link VX220-G2V. After 10th factory resets and troubleshooting I've given up. Moving on I'm now looking at a decent replacement Wireless Router with atleast 4 ethernet ports and WiFi 6 to connect my smart things hub, 2 room with wired ethernet. I was also thinking on buying the same brand to prevent conflicts. ( https://www.tp-link.com/au/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax1500/) Possible replacement? Any help on this would be great. Cheers.

I have 2 wifi routers, Archer AC1200 one for upstairs, and TL-WR740N / TL-WR740ND one for down, both are from TPLink, so the settings' ip are same i.e 192.168.0.1. So, when I hooked the new router in my pc, it shows the settings page for the new router, but when I removed it and put back the old router, chrome remembers the new router's page and tries to open it and it can't (screenshot below). I can get around it by using Incognito mode or other browser (or probably even clearing cache, which I wont). Thats well and good, but my intent is to connect all of the routers using Ethernet, so how will I open either because the Newer model's settings page will be opened, probably. Is there any workaround for that, can I maybe change the ips for either routers? I'd rather not use ethernet, instead I'd use my old one as 2Ghz wifi repeater for my new one without any ethernet, but if my routers can't reach each other, I'd have to resort to using ethernet. (our house is old and the walls/ceiling are very fat around 15", wifi have trouble getting through) Thanks

WIFI adaptor is a TP Link Archer TX3000E AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 Bluetooth 5.0 PCIe Adapter, which has been great for me so far have been really happy with it and no issues. This all started when a couple weeks ago I downloaded the Master Chief collection on Steam, around 50GBs or so. Ever since my internet will drop out to my PC only, no other devices seem to be affected. The WIFI remains connected but with no internet connection. It will be fine for a short while, then randomly drop out again, sometimes taking a long while to get back on. Have tried all the normal things, turn the router, my pc, everything off and on again. I have made sure my network card's drivers are the latest available. I have also tried flushing the DNS via command prompt and releasing and renewing the IPv4 address. I've got no third party anti-virus software that could interfere either. Windows diagnostics was surprisingly helpful and could often temporarily solve the problem, but was saying the 'default gateway was not available'. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Everyone, Just got an annoying problem with a prebuild I advised a friend to buy, then add in an addin card for wifi. The PC they got is the redux-gamer-premium-a120 (dutch website, specs should still be easy to read) The Wifi card is the TPlink archer TX50e - AX3000 wifi 6 (Intel AX200 160Mhz) She got the pc last week, so I put the card in as they didn't do it for her. Checked the cables, and booted the pc successfully. I then gave it back to her so she could set-up the rest. Once she started using it for about 2 days, the wifi started dropping out. I remoted in using her phone USB tethering and teamviewer. After the explanation from here this is what I gathered. Symptoms: 1) when rebooting the wifi kept working 2) When shutting down completely the wifi was gone 3) When going into sleep the wifi was gone 4) When rebooting or shutting down after the wifi was gone, it would not come back 5) Switching off psu, and then rebooting after 1-2 minutes also did not return the wifi 6) turning on the pc after 15-20 min did bring the wifi back. From these symptoms i first thought something strange was happening with power saver functions, so i set out and disabled all the fast boot options in the bios, and all the power saving features in windblows 10. here is the list of what I changed: 1) power and sleep settings, change power plan to high performance. 2) In the choose powerbuttons section, disable fast-startup 3) In the advanced power settings, selective suspending is disabled, and pcie link state power management is off. 4) In the bios, ensure erp is off I then rebooted into the pc, and still had no wifi So then I decided to start lookup some advise online, and did the following: 1) In device manager show hidden devices, and uninstall the AX200 160mhz driver. 2) Remove any intel wifi software in the installed programs. 3) Reboot Card still didn't show up. Next update bios. it was on version F1, so I updated it to f60a, latest one available. Card still did not show up. At this point, I thought, okay card is bust, so I took it out, and plugged it into my pc. It worked just fine, tested it for 3 days now, never once had an issue with it disappearing, nor did it ever lose connection. I then plugged it back into her system, and still didn't show. I then took my Asus WLAN PCI-Express PCE-AC55BT B1 card into it. That showed up no problem. I took the AX200 card out of her adapter and plugged it into my adapter, it again didn't show up My 8260 did show up in her tp link adapter. I switched them back to the correct adapters and took a linux boot drive. Ran the terminal and ran lspcie, pcie card was not showing. Switching to my card + Wifi did show it when running lspcie I then Took the mobo out of her case so I could plug the GPU into the slot I was using so far for wifi (In the case I cannot move the GPU to another slot as it won;t fit due to the PSU section cover) I plugged the GPU in the x16 x4 slot, and the wifi card in the x16 x16 slot. It now shows up in device manager. I thought okay, maybe I just needed to temp switch them, and see if this now works. Switched the cards back to their original slots. It again did not show. So I've now verified that the slot works, with GPU and other WIfi card. The wifi card works in another slot, and other pc. I've also checked bios settings like PCIE gen 1,2 and 3, which also didn't help. Has anyone got any idea what could be the cause here? I really need some help at this point as I don't know how to solve this one. There is more I've tried but probably forgot to mention, but i've put oever 8 hours into this and have not been able to solve this issue whatsoever.

hey, following situation: i have 2 houses and a street with heavy traffic in between. i want to beam internet from house1 first floor to house2 3rd floor. total distance window to window probably about 50 meter units, 1 wall/ window per house to clear. i dont really want to DIY a cantenna or something like that if i dont have to. i think i could clear the traffic heightwise so i dont think it will interfere with my line of sight. am i right in the assumption that i basically only need a basic 50 buck per piece p2p 2.4ghz wifi bridge?(i will never beam more than 100 mbps) The second problem is, i dont really want to route a cable from the modem in house1 to the p2p bridge in house1, are there p2p bridges which take wifi as input? or do i need to buy a repeater which receives the wifi and routes it per ethernet cable to the p2p bridge? would something like two Ubiquiti NanoStation M2 LOCOM2 or two TP-LINK CPE510 as sender/receiver connected to a modem as input and a router as output do the trick?

First im new to OpenWRT and i realize there is an entire wiki on this topic and setup, but im not understanding the information exactly so maybe one of you guys could explain it in more laymans terms... this is the router i am trying to configure, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBXMBQF/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_Z04ZNZFJ5Y4VYDDMKZ3T it seems to do everything i need it to.... individually, but i cannot seem to connect to static IP devices... Im and automation technician, here lately i have been doing alot of reprogramming and replacing plc's and i tend to prefer ethernet, these devices often come with various preset IP address's that need to be changed upon initial setup so that their on the same subnet. I quickly realized readdressing all of them and plugging in a wireless router was needed to eliminate time, then i need to add internet to this new network to assist with help files, etc. So i took an old TP-link router that i found that was 5V and modified it to create my network with all my devices, and added another access point device to plug into the Wan port on the TP link router. This setup works but is bulky and rather large, so i found the above device that is USB powered and has all the features needed however i cannot see any of the PLC/HMI style devices and i am not sure why... The router does have a Luci GUI under the advanced settings but everytime i mange to get static IP devices to show, then i break Internet connectivity so im sure what i am doing wrong, If someone feels like reaching out to help i can further explain in detail or maybe even setup a video call. I figure it wouldnt take long but ive wasted two days and have factory reset this thing multiple times. ATTACHED IS MY DESIRE CONFIGURATION... the ethernet ports on the back would act as a switch allowing everything on the "switch" to talk amongst there selves as well as to the laptop... (these three ports on the device dont need internet, but it would be nice if they could access it as well) The laptop can access internet and all devices... and i can use wifi or USB tethering as my internet source depending on if i am in the workplace or on a service call.... can anyone help or atleast point me in the right direction...

I have a tp-w8901n tp link modem router. it doesn't work anymore. the admin page (192.168.1.1) doesn't show up and the lights look like a boot loop situation. here's a 30 sec video of the lights (I'm not holding any button, the status doesn't change at all, even after a few hours): 20210906_163604.m4v and a picture of the back of the device:

So I'm trying to forward some ports (minecraft (25565)), but every time I fail. Right now I'm very confused due to the fact that: -I have a mikrotik LHG-LTE6 antenna - going to TP-LINK Archer C1200 (running in AP mode) Things I've tried so far - "/ip firewall nat add chain=dstnat protocol=tcp dst-port=25565 in-interface=lte1 action=dst-nat to-address=192.168.88.244 to-ports=25565" "/ip firewall filter add chain=forward dst-address=192.168.88.244 protocol=tcp dst-port=25565 action=accept"

Hello everyone, I have right on my hands is a very confusing situation. Long story short, I have recently built a new system. The specifications are as follows: - CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GB 3200Mhz [32GB Total] Mobo: Gigabyte B450M S2H m-ATX GPU: MSI RTX 2060 SUPER Ventus GP OC | 8GB GDDR6 PSU: Super Flower Silver ECO 80+ Silver Full Modular 600W Casing: Tecware Nexus M TG m-ATX WiFi: TP-Link TX50E AX3000 Storage: 1. Adata XPG SX8200 Pro NVMe SSD 512GB 2. Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200 RPM The issue that I am facing currently is that the WiFi card is not being detected by Windows. My motherboard has 2 PCIe 1X slots and 1 PCe 16X slot. The 16x slot is currently populated with my GPU for display. These are some of the things I've done to attempt to solve the issue. Ensured that the WiFi card is working with another desktop lying around. Dug through/ Refreshed detected devices after restarts through Device Manager. Installed/ Reinstalled WiFi network drivers obtained from TP-Link's website Removed all overclock/ XMP Profiles applied Tested with both PCIe x1 slots Updated BIOS to the latest version (As of 02/10/2020 - F51) Disabled Fast Startup/ Ultra Fast Startup Searched the entirety of the BIOS to find any Disable/ Enable PCIe option but to no avail. Ran Windows network devices resetting commands ( netsh winsock reset, netcfg -d) Made WWAN AutoConfig services to run automatically. Restarted the PC many many times The frustrating thing is Gigabyte's BIOS doesn't include detected PCIe devices or a Board Explorer option like how MSI does. Any help that can be contributed will be much appreciated. Thank you. P.S. Attached is the PDF for my motherboard's user manual. This should come in handy as it covers all BIOS options and hardware as well. mb_manual_b450m-s2h_e_v1.pdf

Hey all, first time posting looking for some help with my strange home network issue. Appreciate any help I can get thanks in advanced! Windows 10 Home Desktop Hardware: X99Pro/USB3.1 i7-5820K GTX 1080 32gig ram samsung evo 870 Network situation Verizon FIOS router - G3100 2 scenarios to be aware of Before issue - router was directly connected to mobo through a cat5e cable After issue - router was directly connected into tp-link TG-3468 ethernet card in a 16x slot Situation A couple days before the issue started happening, there was an outage in my area for FIOS After it came back a few hours later, youtube on my desktop was loading very slow I ran the normal internet speed test from various sources and each one of them said my download was fine at roughly 900mbps but my upload was either 1mbps or less than 1 All my other wifi connected and ethernet connected computers and mobile devices (all mac) were working fine both upload and download were as normal I ran all the typical troubleshooting options ipconfig commands resetting network adapter reinstalling network driver rebooting router factory resetting router Called provider to do a lot of the same but also reset the ONT In the end I ended up going to microcenter and pinking up a tp-link TG3468 and a brand new cat5e to see if it was my onboard network controller While doing some more trouble shooting before installing the new card, I found that disabling IPv6 internet protocol in the network adapter settings actually fixed my upload issue for my onboard network adapter. I know it probably doesn't matter if its off really but I did not like that solution so I went ahead and installed the TP Link card I guess my 1x slot is dead because my computer could not pick up the card when it was plugged in Moved the card to a 16x slot I was not using and it started working HOORAY EVERYTHING WAS BACK TO NORMAL Sadly, now every couple days for some reason my ethernet connection stops working light on the TP Link card is solid green wifi on desktop still works just fine its just ethernet looking at the router's connected device list, it shows that it doesn't even recognize my desktop through an ethernet connection all ip settings and DNS settings are set to automatic ipconfig /all doesnt show an ip address for my connected ethernet Ethernet card in Network Adapter Settings shows "Unidentified Network" as its status resetting the network adapter and/or re connecting the ethernet cable does nothing the only solution is to power cycle the router Any idea of whats going on? can I somehow make the router force to remember my desktop ethernet connection? Sorry that was a lot of text and thank you for anyone that got this far!

NorthState ISP plan has me at almost 900mpbs at their modem. That's connected to my Nighthawk router. That in turn is connected to a TPLink gigabit switch which via wall outlet gets to my desktop. That switch has other connections to my security system, NAS etc. Any ideas on how to get more speed towards my desktop? Right now I am on wifi to my desktop (bad move?) and I am over 300MBPS down but ping at 26ms...

I have the tp-link Archer C5400X on the latest firmware. Originally I had trouble hitting the advertised speed of 600mbps with this router, but I was informed that it is not capable of that over a wireless connection. In the process however, I was given Beta firmware from tp-link support. I still have that but I switched it out for 1.1.3 from the website when trying to fix the current issue. 400mbps over WiFi and 600mbps as tested by the router firmware was the maximum I ever had. There was a problem for the last month where the connection to the internet would drop for about 60-180 seconds. I had the ISP come out and take a look, and they replaced some connectors--including crimping a new end onto the ethernet cable that goes from the modem to the router. Not sure what happened, but now the router maxes out around 90mbps down, 40mbps up. The ISP's support said the modem is properly provisioned and is seeing the full 600mbps speed, so the issue has to be with the router. What can I do to get back to the full speed?

Hello, I bought a gigabit network card because my integrated has only 100mbit, and I have home NAS so it would not be great with 100mbit. But if I plug that network card to PCIe video output, stop working both on integrated graphic card and regular. I first thought that I messed up something, but if I unplug the card, everything working as it should. But one interesting thing happens if I plug it to PCIe x16 it work, so what should I do then? Network card: TP-LINK TG-3468 Note: I have only one PCIe and PCIe x16 on the motherboard

So, I have a TL-WR840N router, and I want to port forward it to host some game servers, problem is no matter how many guides I follow to a T the ports just aren't opening, so I found a forum saying your WAN should be your static IP that your ISP provides. So through a series of emails I've received my static IP and ...nothing, nada. as soon as I change the router from auto-detect to Static IP the internet just stops working, am I missing something really basic here or what? Also, if I'm not giving some important information, let me know

Hey guys , i am having some trouble managing my network. The wifi signal i s too week in my living room(just on the final bar) and i am looking to extend my network. I hace already tried the wifi extender option but the signal is too weak and i am not able to get a decent connection. I have no way of placing the extender halfway. ( i have a tp link archer a7) and am looking to use thier OneMesh function but with no success. I am looking for a variant to use another router and connect it via lan cable, but DO NOT WANT TO MAKE IT AN ACCESS POINT. I have already tried that variant and the signal on my devices stays on the lowest bar and does NOT disconnect or transfer to the other router when i switch rooms. Is there a way to do this
