Budget (USD): $10,000+ Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: Apex Legends, Call of Duty Warzone/MW2, Escape from Tarkov, Planetside 2, Minecraft, Combat Arms, etc. Programs: Fusion 360, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc. Use Case: Dual Dedicated Systems System 1 is for Gaming, Video Editing, and CAD while System 2 is for Streaming, video storage for my YouTube channel and a backup for gaming in the event System 1 dies. Other details: Justification for Redundancy: During the last few tournaments for AFG (Air Force Gaming) & SFG (Space Force Gaming) my system would die and eventually was fried due to an electrical overload in my apartment (It was a blessing and a cure in disguise) Systems: Case: Phanteks Elite Fans: 2x Corsair RGB LL 140 System 1: CPU: AMD 7950X Motherboard: ROG X670E Extreme (ATX) RAM: G-Skill Trident Z5 RGB 6000Mhz 32GB (2x16GB) CL32 GPU: 7900XTX (Will purchase on release date) Storage: 1x Samsung 980 Pro M.2 2TB (Gen 4) PSU: Seasonic 1600W Prime TX Cooling: CPU Block: Thermaltake Pacific XM2 GPU Block: EK-Quantum (Not released yet but will get one) Radiator: 2x EK-Quantum X-420M Fans: 6x Corsair RGB LL 140 Reservoir/Pump: Byski Elite w/D5 Fittings: Byski 16mm Tubing: Thermaltake Clear PETG 16mm (Hard) Coolant: EK Cryofuel Solid Neon Green System 2: CPU: 7950X Motherboard: ROG X670E-I (Mini-ITX) RAM: G-Skill Flare X5 5600Mhz 32GB (2x16GB) CL36 (It was free w/CPU) Storage: 1x Western Digital Black M.2 1TB (Gen 4) 2x Seagate Barracuda 8TB HDDs (16TB) PSU: Seasonic 1000W Prime TX (Ignore the gold PSU as it's a placeholder until the new one arrives) Cooling: CPU Block: Thermaltake Pacific XM2 Radiator: 1x EK-Quantum X-420M Fans: 4x Corsair RGB LL 140 Reservoir/Pump: EK-Quantum 140 w/D5 Fittings: Byski 16mm Tubing: Thermaltake Clear PETG 16mm (Hard) Coolant: EK Cryofuel Solid Neon Green Capture Card: Elgato 4K 60 Pro Explanation on certain parts: Graphics card: I wanted a card that is compatible with newer displays coming out over the next few years. I also don't want to spend $1600 on a 4090 for a variety of reasons (current problems with power, DP 1.4a, etc). In addition I wanted more supported refresh rates for future standards. I currently have 2x ROG 4K curved 100hz displays and could only use about 59hz on both. System 2 graphics: I will use onboard graphics as I won't be playing any games on it and if system 1 dies I will unplug the 7900XTX (which will be mounted to a vertical bracket) and plug it into system 2. Why am I going with AM5? I wanted a system for future upgradability, since AM5 is so new I hope they will support it with new processsors over the next few years as AM4 won't be getting any new CPUs. Support for PCI-E 5.0, allowing for more upgradability for future storage drives and graphics cards (system 1 has 2 M.2 and 2 16 slots for gen 5 while System 2 has 1 and 1. I won't be doing much more building on this PC until closer to the 7900XTX launch because I recently had a screw put in the middle of my right hand palm and can't use it that much as I'm recovering and doing physical therapy in which I'm not allowed to even hold a the weight of a pencil my doctor said. I love gaming and streaming despite not getting more views than I can count on my broken hand but enjoy it none the less. I will finally be able to make better content as I will be able to actually use my system and peripherals to there full capabilitie, hopefully I learn how to be more entertaining like Linus. I will definitely need to find a co-worker to help me lift the case to it's final spot as it's already at around 150+lbs and don't want to break anything. Attached you will find the current state of the PC also know as project AMF (I used the name AMF because I would make AMFs but with a twist of green schnapps instead of Blue lacroix). Green is also in my logo as Gost1o1 and will be the coolant in this system. I might consider mining when I'm not using the PC as I pay a flat rate for all utilities at my apartment lol .

i have bought this keyboard this year and within a month it started randomly disconnecting, half the time not even lighting up and applying key strokes. after a synapse update it fixed itself up and has not done ever since for 2 months and has only just started up again now. oddly it only happens when i'm in windows not in games but it really pisses me off that keeps disconnecting and reconnecting over and over again. tried other ports and does the same thing i even have the razer deathadder and its not affected at all just the keyboard. I dont know if it a timing thing as it only happened once during midday but most commonly does it at night. its a really good keyboard and i have no complaints for it except for the fact that it decides to do this disconnect and reconnect thing now.

Hi guys, I searched on internet about how to make a tournament in CS GO and I found some reddit posts but I want to know about PC specs and servers and that is what I wanted to ask here! So I need to connect 10 or 11 PC's with good connection (all need to have low ping). I also want to know do I need some better server or I can host with my PC specs down! It is going to be small tournament just for fun. Where do I need to connect or how do I connect all these PC's I think that I would need to connect it with cat 5 or 5e but I need to have cat 5e or 6 connectors which is expensive. Do I need to connect it on hub or I'm not good with servers and network. Guys thanks and if u could write me all I need!

Hey guys, In the upcoming weeks I will have to take on the controls of the camera of some matches for a CSGO tournament. I just got familiar with the commands to control the spectator camera in a few Live matches on GOTV, but I am still not sure that I will be able to show all the "precious" moments of a round. But, at the same time, I know that Auto-Director is not perfect at all. Would you recommend me to let Auto-Director do all of the work, or try and use the camera manually?

I'm setting up a Halo: Combat Evolved LAN tournament. It's going to be 2 vs. 2. I'm having trouble getting two test computers (one that I'm going to use and a back up computer) to work. At the moment when I set up a LAN game on either system it doesn't show up in the LAN lobby menu. I have the computers wired together with a switch and I have tried wiring them directly. I have all the network settings at default and the build I am working with is "01.00.04.0607". Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Hey Guys, I was wanting some advice, I am looking at getting a razer blackwidow tournament mechanical gaming keyboard, and was wondering: STEALTH vs STANDARD?? So, what are the major differences? My primary use will be gaming. Any other keyboards that beat this out at a similar price? BTW: I'm looking at the 2014 edition. Thanks, B3H1NDu P.S. First post!

Hello, currently I have a cheap membrane keyboard and it serves its function well but it doesn't really have a consistent (typing) feel that I would like as a CS:GO player. Some keys you need to press harder, some softer, some are not very "balanced" and so on; you know, like every other membrane keyboard. So I was wondering should I buy this BlackWidow Tournament Edition keyboard with their new Razer green switches OR should I save my money for later and buy other and more expensive keyboard? Although I like how it looks, and it would match my Razer mouse and mouse pad, but it needs to be reliable and consistent to me. Please tell me what you think. I'm especially interested on opinions of owners of Razer-green-switch-keyboards. Thank you!

This weekend is HTC's "Reborn" tournament (supposedly given the name to highlight all the new NA lineups). The list of 8 teams is as follows: KeydStars Cloud9 Counter-Logic Gaming Nihilum Team Liquid affNity TempoStorm eLevate The tournament will be broadcasted live and casted by James and DDK of Faceit. It will be played online for a prize pool of $10,000. It'll also be a Bo3, single elimination format bracket. Predictions? Anyone watching / betting? I think Keydstars is gonna clean the floor with these fresh teams. C9 has a chance but if they choke its all keydstars.

NPNPgaming DOTA 2 League As many of you know me and Deleon.David held a DOTA 2 Community Tournament here on the forum, it's almost over, only 2(possibly 3) games left, we have had to postpone games due to several issues. The tournament had many flaws because I never realised what an amount of work that had to be poured in to it. Not having set game times before everything was done was also a big issue. Now that we know a lot more and because DOTA 2 is offically launched, no more BETA, we want to celebrate the DOTA 2 Launch, so we are launching a new project, a DOTA 2 League with set times, no random teams or anything silly like that. Prize Pool will be Rare or Better items, provided by the entrance fee of one Rare or Better item per player in each team. The League will be played on Saturdays(2 games) and Sundays(1 game) all through out August in to mid September, no games will be played during The International 2013. Every team will only play one game per weekend so hopefully it won't take up too much time of your weekend. The games will be best out of 3(bo3), Captains Mode, Tournament version. We will stream the League with casters over at our Twitch.tv Channel, NPNPgaming. Games will also be uploaded to Youtube. We are looking for any interested casters to help casting the games, English only of course. Interviews with teams might be held after some of the games. We will link to your channels and you're allowed to give some shoutouts to your own channels at the beginning or end of each game. Link to application form at the bottom of the post. To enter the NPNPgaming League your Team Captain will have to fill in the form linked at the bottom of this post. Your Team Captain will have to send in the Rare or Better Items to BAPEsta/IKEA before your application is accepted. Game Schedule: Rules & Information:

There will be a North American and European division. My understanding is they will take the winner of each division and have a world championship. Entry is free and this is your chance to play against the best teams in the world in Battlefield 3 8v8 format. -Bro

So if you haven't heard SMITE, the latest MOBA from Hi-rez Games, has been brought out of beta. And to commemorate the launch, they hosted what was going to be a 100,000$ tournament. The prize pool, however, grew as players were able to purchase an in-game skin to add 5$ per purchase. 200,000$ ended as the final amount for the pool. Those of you into competitive gaming in general will know some of the teams like Team Dignitas or Team Solo Mid that were at the tournament. The brackets (taken from http://www.hirezstudios.com/esports/tournaments) are such:

New Update: First of all I must admit that when starting up this idea I had no idea of how complicated this could be since we have members from all over the world and adapting the times for all the matches after that was very complicated. Not only that but figuring out the skill level of all of the players which was done by my main man Deleon.David. I truly hope we can pull this off and that you are able to participate even though the tournament will not take place only on the 29th of June. I do understand if some of you might want to drop from the Tournament due to this extension. I won't hold that against you and I hope no one else will. As you can see, we don't have set times for the games on Sunday yet, we will set them when we know what teams will be playing them. Click this link to view the Tournament teams: http://tinyurl.com/DOTA2teams Ask BAPEsta if you have any questions, complaints or if you're taking in a replacement you have to PM BAPEsta asap. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We welcome all forum members to join the first LTT DOTA 2 Forum Tournament. A fight for glory and the Rare/Uncommon items in the Prize Pool. The format will be Randomized 5 vs. 5 teams in Captains Mode, best out of 3. Prize Pool(Updated continuously): Live stream will be provided by NPNPgaming on Twitch.tv. Important information: All applications must be in before 12:00 GMT on the 19th of June, we need all the time we can get to put together the teams and finish all the preparations for the tournament. We ask all players to be aware that if the tournament isn't finished early enough we will have to continue with the finals on Sunday the 30th of June. At the moment we have no set starting time for the tournament, the starting time is going to be set when we have more information about the participants time zones. You must enable ”Share Match History” in DOTA 2. Click here for a guide. This is for matchmaking the team members. Lag will not be a valid excuse to drop out of the tournament, we will match teams as good as possible to avoid large distances between them. Register for the tournament through this registration form. We only need one person from EU(GMT +1/2/3), other registrations will be added as reserves. The register closes at 12:00 GMT on the 19th of June, if you wish to back out after this time, up until the tournament starts, your item(s) will still be given back to you. We hope to see many of you joining this tournament for a day of super happy fun times and DOTA 2! - BAPEsta & Deleon.David

So, this won't be long, but I have some thoughts about this keyboard. I bought this keyboard at Amazon on sale for $70. It was my first mechanical keyboard, and I am mostly not disappointed. It feels great, it looks nice, but it has it's problems. I will break it up in 2 categories. Build Quality / Design For the most part, it has good build quality. It feels solid and it takes a lot of force to bend. The soft touch plastic feels nice, but it picks up moisture and oils like moths to a flame. So, you will be cleaning it a lot. This keyboard has a fatal flaw, one which keeps me from ever recommending it to anyone. The detachable cable is extremely weak, and the mini USB connector in the keyboard breaks easily. If my keyboard's cable is not positioned with force to the right of the connector, it will not make contact no matter what cable I use. Also, I would have liked to see a slimmer design with a more raked drop off from the end of the keys to the end of the keyboard. It gets a 2.5/5 from me. Typing Feel It feels good to type on. Cherry MX Blue switches are very nice, as many have established. They are good for typists and for anyone typing a lot, including programmers, authors and people who write code. I like the feel of the switches, but sometimes my hands become fatigued when typing for long amounts of time since MX Blue switches have an actuation force of 50g with a peak force of 60g. They have a large amount of travel for me, 2mm to actuation, 4mm to bottoming out, but I have become used to that. Overall, good. It gets a 4.8/5 from me. Overall, I give the this keyboard a 7.3/10. It is a great deal for what I paid and earns points for the nice switches and solid feel, but it loses points for the iffy mini USB connector and fingerprint-loving surface finish. I have been contacted by Razer offering to replace my keyboard, but I don't have the time to ship out mine, and I have been spoiled by the Cherry MX Blue switch. This is my first review, and any constructive criticism is appreciated.

http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/2ba6jq/looks_like_the_dota_coverage_on_espn_was_well/ The guy who did this collage probably only got most of the negative comments but still, it goes to show you how far away the general public are from accepting professional gaming if at all. There are many differing opinions and i am assuming most of them are from people who are older like my parents age. I personally am a huge fan of Dota 2 and to be honest i'm sure my dad would sit through a match with me if it were on TV but then again my dad is a bit more accepting of what our generation does compared to theirs. Unfortunately because i live in Australia the games are from 2am onwards and we don't even get ESPN3 even on our pay TV service, i don't think that's going to happen. Regardless, there is certainly a stigma attached with professional gaming and that's not going away soon. Having said, it's great that the guy who writes the program scehdule at ESPN decided that it was a good idea to televise dota 2. What do you guys think of the reception? Not surprised? Lost all faith in humanity?
