Hey people I'm a QA tester and I need some analytics info for a game I'm currently testing. Platform: Windows Game Engine: Unreal Engine Query: Is there any tool that allows me to check if FSR is working? (FSR 2.2.2) From eyeballing it... I'm not able to make out the difference and I need something concrete to show for the bug report because anything less would be met with "it works on my system" from the Dev's end. (I do not have access to the editor build). Any tool that lets me see a difference between the levels of upscaling quantitatively would be perfect. Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for something handy for measuring power draw, ideally just a single device (or maybe two) for measuring: Power draw from AC socket Power draw from USB The minimal features and price range I'm hoping for are similar to netool: Easy to read logs: no unknown format, plaintext is better, but binary format with detailed specification also works Connection to configure/read data: SD Card/Wifi/BLE or even better: directly via USB Minimal display to display stats like current power usage Ergonomic size and weight (best if pocket sized like Multi-Meters) Decent accuracy (at least <2% error) and precision (3 significant digits, more if better accuracy) Range For AC power draw, support at least upto 300W sustained, ideally upto 2000W peak, 1500W sustained For USB power draw, support at least 100W, full support for USB PD 3.1 is better Time scale: configurable with averaged calculated over a period of an hour to 10ms Storage: Store at least 10 million data points (aka at least around 100MB memory) Option to either overwrite older logs or stop logging once memory is full Cost: 200-250 USD for a single solution, 180-200 USD for two (docking 20% due to lower convenience) <-- just a guideline Not all points need to be fulfilled, so I'd like you to give your suggestions even if they don't satisfy 2 or 3 points. They would be helpful to find a decent tradeoff if there's no ideal solution. PS: Personally I'd accept janky/DIY solutions, but this is not personal, so feel free to propose DIY knowing that it'd be helpful for others searching, but not for my situation

I have had a Raspberry Pi 4B fitted with an Ice Tower cooler for a long time now. Sadly, I lost the tools to get the screws off so its currently stuck together. I could buy another Ice Tower cooler and use the tools it comes with but I must be able to buy the tools I need separately. As you can see in this photo (Sorry about the blur but this is the best I could take with the only camera I got), its a tiny hex knut I need unscrewed from my Pi. Does anyone know exactly what kind of tool I need? Thank you.

Hi everyone, What tools for controlling Windows 10 telemetry and updates do you know/use? Preferably up-to-date and with passive principle (setting/registry changer) and not as an active process in the background. There was such tool in one of ltt’s Windows10/11 videos “that worked very well” according to Linus but I can’t remember or find the name. I used so far the tool Blackbird, but it is outdated and quite aggressive.

help Network monitoring tool to diagnose inconsistent network
drmayanknigam posted a topic in Networking
Hello guys I'm looking for a network tool t detect problems in my broadband network My Setup: Fibre optic broadband with 100Mbps bandwidth. ISP provided Optilink modem connected to TP Link N series router. I use the connection on 2 Smart TVs and around 5 smartphones. Problem: I keep getting speed drops and timeouts throughout the day. The internet slows down to such levels that I can't even watch youtube in SD. This is not a continuous phenomenon, at times its working perfectly and at times it stops working. Bigger Problem: My ISP refuses to acknowledge that there is anything wrong. Whenever I call them up to complaint, they check the connection from their end and say that its working fine and there is no problem. Further they dont believe speed test results from my mobile because they want me to check the network by connecting my laptop to their modem! So I need to diagnose my connection by connecting my laptop to the modem directly for 24 hrs and show the proof to my ISP so that they acknowledge the problem. I feel that there is a server issue because many people are facing the same problem and ISP is not ready to acknowledge it due to lack of any proof. And no, I don't have any alternative isp in my area- 1 reply

Hey, so I've been trying to use the windows 10 install tool. I first tried using the USB option but no matter what USB I tried it coulednt find it. (I tried at least 20). I then tried using th ISO file because the USB wasn't working, although I think I'm doing it wrong I selected the Dvd and the download device. The DVD is 4.7gb and after it was done it said there was not enough space on the disk. Please help!

Greetings. I've recently considered investing in a colour calibration tool for cohesion across multiple displays for content creation and a more accurate perspective for content analysis. However, I'm not doing this professionally and don't want to spend much on a hardware calibration tool. I plan to use this on a few TVs, monitors, laptops, and smartphones. I'm open to used recommendations, and I'm not looking to spend in excess of $50. Is there a significant disadvantage for the home user in buying older calibration tools? I've seen the original ColourVision Spyder go for $10 on eBay before. Are they less accurate than their successors? Regards, Aereldor.

I have a team of developers working on a game and I am looking for a platform that allows me to assign tasks to people and have them say they are working on it, then check it off when it's done. I realize i could just use a google doc, but I feel like there is a platform specifically built for this.

What should I get for my birthday? So, my birthday is quickly approaching, and my parents gave me a budget of $200 to spend however I like. So far, I've decided to get a laptop bag, battery pack, and bluetooth earbuds. The problem is that all of those things only total to $80, so I have no idea how to spend the leftover $120. . . Put in your ideas of what you would buy with the money. *I can't upgrade my pc as it's a small form-factor pre-built system, so It's going to be really difficult to upgrade anything useful.

Ok, so my friend recently got a new computer, however, he had to replace the hard drive as well as reinstall windows 10. I walked him through the steps of installing windows through a usb stick and for some reason his computer is stuck on the black screen with the windows 10 logo and the spinning circle when he boots onto the usb with the windows 10 file on it. Does anyone know why this might be happening? We let it run like that for 3 hours and nothing happened. Thanks.

So I recently built a new rig with an i7-7700 and I wanted to try and keep it a bit more under control. Both for the sake of power use and heat generation (and therefore temperature). My previous computer with a Gigabyte motherboard had a utility (EasyTune) that had an 'Eco' mode, and my other computer with an ASrock motherboard has its own ASrock utility that has a great 'Green' mode, or something like that. My new MSI motherboard has no such tools, even MSI Command Center only allows lowering the ratio to a point where there is no Turbo Boost, and that doesn't get remembered after reboot. I already tried Intel XTU, it seems more or less useless for what I'm trying to do. Using the Windows Power settings I can enable Power Saver mode and enter a Minimum CPU state of 5%, and the CPU indeed adjusts its voltage and clocks more or less as needed, lowering power consumption by ~5W when at or near idling. TL;DR Are there any other utilities that can give me some better control over my CPU? ALSO can someone who actually knows CPUs tell me if the power saver mode is safe for the CPU? I'm a bit worried since it's constantly fluctuating the voltage from about 0.6V to about 1.15V on the various cores, as needed.

The title is pretty much self explanatory. Can I download Windows media tool and install Windows 10 on a new system without a license and still use, and update them normally?

Hi guys, sorry if its the wrong topic im posting in. But as i am new to this forum, i am not quite sure where to put this question. And im from Austria, so my english isnt perfect I am building pc's, custom builds and so on very often, because of many friend wanting new pc's, dont know how to build one, they tell other i can help them and so on. But i use normal tools like normal screwdrivers, pliers but i never bought anything more computer/hardware specialized. In Linus Videos, he always has like a screwdriver, but its more like multifunctional and it "snaps" back like a ratchet (dont know if this word is correct or even exists). Are there any more "special" screwdrivers or pliers which are good for computer building/modding? If this question sounds stupid, sorry, but i wanted some better equipment for building computers

Hello everyone! I'm in the process of building a desktop and I'm reading the Asus Maximus IX Code user's manual. In the CPU installation section it shows some instructions to use the installation tool that is included with the motherboard. I was searching on Youtube trying to find a tutorial clear enough that shows how to mount the CPU on that tool. The thing is that I'm not sure if it is safe to press the bottom of the CPU until both sides click and the CPU is fixed in the tool. This is the part that I don't understand. Specially the 5th step... how do I push the CPU safely? Thank you very much for your help!

Hey guys! I'm pretty new to overclocking, but as soon as I started to overclock my system, I thought that there are not many nice tools to benchmark your cpu. As a student (I'm studying computer sciences) I have some time to work on my own projects and that's why I developed my own CPU benchmark. YACOB. Pronounced like the name "Jacob". It's an assembly of different open-source tools, 7zip, Blender and ffmpeg. All these tools will put a lot of stress onto your cpu, which makes them excellent to use them as a benchmark. YACOB has a built-in comparison, so you can see instantly how much performance you gained between the benchmarks. If you are interested, you can have a look on YACOBs website: https://yacob.sourceforge.io/ I would appreciate all kinds of critics and your opinion on what I made! Greets, Andy P.S.: I did not register in this forums to just tell you about YACOB! But until now, there just was not enough reason for me to participate on here

The muffler on meh car's loose and knocking around over every bump. I've got to fix it I guess, but I don't have the tools with me and I ain't paying Midas for another cheapo weld job (seriously -- they weld RUST onto RUST). Tomorrow I'm going out to Crappy Tire to get some fixing tools, but I'm worried I'll forget something. So far here's what I got: -Wire hanger -Flashlight -Beer I figure I'll have to buy some wire cutters or pliers... anything else I should be looking to buy?

Hey guys I am currently learning Adobe Photoshop CC with the Adobe Tutorials on their website but somehow I can't move on. My goal is to select an area, create a new layer for it and fill it with a colour. Somehow the last step is not working because I get this here instead of the bucket: Thanks in advance!

Please participate in the beta-test v1.4.0. Download: https://github.com/DevTechProfile/CapFrameX/releases/tag/v1.4.0beta CapFrameX is a modern frametime capture and analysis tool based on PresentMon. More infos: https://github.com/DevTechProfile/CapFrameX/blob/master/README.md We've implemented a RTSS client to show status information on the overlay. It would be nice if you give it a try. Feedbak is always welcome. New features: Overlay based on RTSS (Rivatuner Statistics Server) Capture service status (watch ingame what happens while working with CX) Capture timer Run history Run history aggregation (more consistent than simply averaging multiple results) Frametime/framerate Saving aggregated recording file Frametime chart range slider (start, end, slidable window) In this beta version, we've included a new "Overlay" page on which you can customise what RTSS should show you. RTSS will automatically start with CX if it's not already running and the CX overlay items will also work together with existing applications, that already use RTSS, like the MSI Afterburner. Things you can do with the CX overlay: Show fps and/or frametimes Show the status of the capture service aswell as the remaining capture time(if set) Show a run history with common analysis parameters The second new funcion in this beta is the run history, which can also be activated on the "Overlay" page. With this, you can set a number of runs to be made and also choose up to 2 metrics in addition to the average fps. These metrics will be shown on the overlay for each run. You can reset the history via hotkey or alternatively just start a new run once the history is full. In addition to the run history, we've also added an aggregation function, that can be activated when using the run history. If the aggregation is active, the frametimes of all your runs will be saved to a single record file, once your run history is full to give you the performance parameters based on all the runs combined*. This aggregated result will also be shown on the overlay. You can choose if you want the single history items to be saved as a file too or if you just want the aggregated result. So especially for reviewers or people who want to get more reliable benchmark results in general this means no more writing down of multiple benchmark results and then calculating the average values out of them, CX does all that for you now. We've added an option on how to deal with outlier runs but for this beta, we only included the standard option which is to ignore them and just combine the runs once the history is full. In the final release, you'll also have the option to define outliers (choose the metric to determine outliers and choose a percentage how much the metric value has to differ from the median to be an outlier). If you get an outlier, it will be marked and you have to do another run to replace it. Once there are no more outliers in the run history, the aggregation starts. This is another big step on getting the most reliable results out of your benchmark runs. Aside from the overlay stuff, we've also changed a little feature that shouldn't be left unspoken of. The old "cutting mode" on the Analysis and Comparison page is now replaced with a range slider, so now you can cut the graphs exatcly the way you want and also move around the remaining time window freely across the graph. *Based on how aggregation works, the percentile parameters you'll get out of it may differ from the ones you get when taking the percentiles of multiple runs and calculating an average out of them. That's because with the aggregation all parameters get calculated again from the frametime data of all the runs combined instead of calculating them in steps and then averaging them. RTSS To use CX overlay the latest RivaTuner Statistics Server has to be installed: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/rtss-rivatuner-statistics-server-download.html Troubleshoot If the application crashes when the overlay is activated, install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019: vc_redist.x64.exe Ingame impressions CX and Afterburner overlay together, RTSS is multi-client-capable Making 3 runs to fill the run history Result line is the aggregated dataset (all runs combined into one)

Anybody of you guys had an issue with the CPU Installation Tool? Would you still recommend using it or just go old school? A recent PC ive built had one, tho i really find it weird. Somehow it started showing some problems after 5 months and only after ive changed the cpu cooler from stock to an h100i v2. At first BSOD started to occur as per my nephew then eventually no boot at all until the CPU LED indicator on the board started lighting up. Tried to re-seat everything even resetting the bios and running it barebones w/o the case. Somehow it powered up then after a day or 2, the issue started to occur again with the CPU LED lighting up. We then resulted in having it checked by our local re-seller where we bought the parts and as per their diagnosis, the board somehow got fried due to some burns by the CPU Pins, good thing that the CPU still works but we just opted to have the board and cpu RMA-ed just to be sure. They then said to us that the cause of the burns was due to the CPU Installation Tool causing the contacts of the board and cpu not properly connecting because of the cooler not pressing enough force to the board because of the tool resulting to sparks of the 2 components. Hey guys, I bought a new CPU (i7 4790k) and somehow my Windows can't boot anymore. It works fine with the old one (i5 4670). A technician I adked about it told me to reinstall windows and test RAM with MemTest86. I couldn't install it new because even .iso won't boot from USB stick correctly and I get a windows error message (every time a different one). Do I now started the MemTest86 because in BIOS sometimes it just displayed 0MB instead of 16GB and somehow it stuck at 75% at 1/4 pass in test 9. Can someone tell me what's the problem here? I don't get it why it works fine with i5 and i7 not. A lot of people had the problem with the CPU - Mainboard (MSI Z87 G43) combination, but there must be a way to keep it running because the newest drivers support that CPU. Thanks for any help.
