I want to make a case for an iPhone out of solid metal. It will be more like an exoskeleton covering the corners that join at the back roughly forming a cross(X). There will be a tpu gasket between the case and the phone. Q1. Is it possible? (I guess it is because there exist some so then my question would be what problems would that cause to communications like NFC, Bluetooth, Phone call, Internet, wifi or hotspot etc. I know metal will affect them but to what degree?) Q2. How much will those problems be mitigated if I use metals that are not so good conductors like titanium or some alloy? Finally Q3: If say it is possible to make one and the problems caused won't significantly affect daily usage to the point where it's noticeable, will it be possible to add wireless charging(specifically Magsafe) through that? Like, say the cross-shaped case(made of titanium) has a circle at the center and that circle houses a circular magnet or whatever that metal is in the iPhone or Magsafe puck? (This is out of genuine curiosity, if I ask or say something absurd please do excuse me) Inspiration: gray phone case

The Silverstone SST-SX800-LTI is a fully modular 800W SFX PSU that is rated at an efficiency rating of 80+ Titanium! Crazy and seems stupid, but I do actually have a use for this. I want to make a custom mATX case capable of running 2 GPUs in SLI/Crossfire that really puts the "micro" in the name. The case is designed to be 1 foot tall, 1 foot deep, and 140mm thick. To accomplish this, as you can imagine, I need a small PSU. That's where this PSU comes in. Given such a low demand the only seller I was able to find is eBay. I have several questions and concerns regarding this power supply. One of the questions I have is, well, is it any good? the SX 700W was rated a Tier 4 on the PSU Tier List but given this is a 800W and a Titanium it might be higher rated. Another question I have, what kind of power draw does two of the most power hungry GPUs in SLI/Crossfire draw? Should I stick with an 800W or would dropping down to a 750W or even 700W be fine? Lastly, overall, what SFX PSU should I buy, Im interested in one rated well and, more importantly, one that can supply power demands of pretty much anything I can throw at it.

I decided to look for other PSUs that are not EVGA and when I clicked titanium and I noticed the Seasonic Prime Titanium 750w which is quite cheap at £115 which I think is a good deal for a titanium PSU compared to EVGA. and I heard that seasonic is a good company that make PSUs so is it any good compared to EVGA g2s?

Arctic Frost I usually build a PC every few years, one more ridiculous that the last, and wanted to share my adventure though the process with the community. My last build was red with green, thinking it looked like a monster with green blood. It was over cramped with bad wire routing. It was so bad I couldn't get the panels on and it became what I wanted, a monster and unruly. Wanting to learn from my mistakes clean and ordered while being efficient are my lines I wont cross. My inspiration was ice, cool sometimes white and sometimes blue but always cold. The parts are added below and I will update them as I get them. As of right now I have the ones listed. This PC will be white and silver, the blue colored water cooling will be hard piped. 1 x AMD RYZEN 7 1700X 8-Core 3.4 GHz (3.8 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 95W YD170XBCAEWOF Desktop Processor 1 x MSI X370 XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM AM4 AMD X370 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI ATX Motherboards - AMD 1 x SAMSUNG 960 EVO M.2 500GB NVMe PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V6E500BW 1 x CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Desktop Memory Model 1 x SanDisk X400 2.5" 1TB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SD8SB8U-1T00-1122 1 x Seasonic Flagship PRIME TITANIUM 750 SSR-750TD Active PFC 80 PLUS Titanium 750W ATX 12V 135mm Fluid Dynamic 1 x Windows 10 Home - 64-bit - OEM Porthos (my cat) decided to make an appearance.

Hey guys I want to use titanium 3/8 - 5/8 tubing for my new build... I was thinking either doing straight runs with angle fittings or making custom bends (welding)... i know it adds more leak points but I am not concerned about that... i just want to know if will be OK to use for water cooling... will also be using premixed coolant with rust and corrosion protection Thanks

Hello everyone, I have ordered a Seasonic 850W Prime Titanium for my new pc, and I was wondering about its hybrid mode that keeps the fan stopped and only starts spinning at 40% load. I have had very good experiences with Seasonics, my S12 430 and S12 520 are still running smoothly and quietly after 10 years. I don't know if the fanless hybrid operation would benefit the health of the PSU and its fan in the long run, because for me the longevity is more important than being dead silent. So my question is: would the fan be more probable to last longer if it is on continuous spinning (most likely always very low rpm given the 850w power, the system will probably draw 350-400 at highest) or the hybrid mode (not spinning at all for most of the time)? I know the hybrid technology is there for a reason, to use it, but being my first fanless psu, I have concerns that when gaming, the psu could be often near the 40% threshold and keep ramping up and stopping the fan which in the long run would depreciate the fan faster than continuous operation? Thank you!

Is there any platinum / titanium sff power supply? I'm Getting prepared to build mini pc using node 202 case. Looking for the best efficiency power supply (titanium / platinum if possible)

Hey folks, First post - go easy on me. First I'll start with the build as validated by CPU-Z (if there are any questions/clarifications to be made, please do let me know.) https://valid.x86.fr/xy9a1y Note: Higher temperature is due to playing a game on max settings while running the validation, no concern there. It maxes at ~67 degrees or so under a few benchmarks that I ran. So, my issue: Regardless of whether I try to "overclock" or "tune" the RAM using the specifications on the box (for ras/cas/etc timings), or if I try to utilize a Memory Try It! configuration that closely matches what is on the box, or if I use the A-XMP Profile "1" or "2" built into the BIOS, the only configuration beyond it's standard 2133mhz setting that I've been able to get to stick is: 2800MHz CL - 16 tRCD 17 tRP 17 tRAS 35 tRC 66 CR 1T My first comment is: I was an idiot (ish) when I was speccing out a new machine, and I really just went for "which MoBo costs the most?" as I've had fairly uninspiring motherboards in the past and wanted to "feel what it's like". It's OK, but it's not great by any means (the Xpower Titanium x370, that is). I also didn't look SUPER HARD into memory compatability, I just new Corsair Dominator RAM was "pretty good", and that it worked "pretty well" in most systems. So now I'm stuck in a virtual limbo where, I can't get the RAM to run at it's rated speed on my MoBo, running BIOS 1.94 (beta bios, latest out). I don't want to REPLACE anything, as I can run it at 2800mhz and everything is all honkey dorey, however, I'd like to, if possible, run at the rated speed. Otherwise, even though I overpayed for my parts (by buying near day-of-release, and picking overpriced based on price/performance/features), I'd like to not feel like I completely wasted the extra ~150 on the MoBo over an Asus/Gigabyte K5, and the ram over some 2800 or so RGB kit that would've cost the same or less. My ask is: Is there anyone with a X370 Titanium board that's been able to get their rated speeds at 3000mhz or 3200mhz, and was it on a specific BIOS, or was there something specific relating to voltages? As far as I'm aware I'm in the upper area of "don't go higher than this" when it comes to various voltage settings (probably due to the A-XMP profile used). Let me know your thoughts/questions/advice. I'm rather scatterbrained, so I do apologize for kind of being all over the place.

dual nmve drives in raid 0 questions
Andrew Storlie posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
ok... ive been asking msi about this S*** for about a month no and cant get a freaking answer over their tech support line cause most of them i can hardly understand and therefore cant understand what im asking.... so hopefully someone can help me here on the new msi xpower titanium (all silver color, awesomness) there are 2(two) m.2 which they say are pci 3.0 (x4 assuming) THE QUESTIONS: 1:cause they are pci based m.2 slots is raid 0 supported in bios? 2:will running dual pci based m.2 ssds in raid 0 hinder the ability to run sli do to maximum amount of lanes 3 (option 2b): on a board like the xpower titanium, would running sli AND 2-950 pros using asus hyper m.2 x4 mini adapter be possible? i would be using the 6700k OR OR OR would it just be better to run x99 5820k and do the sli and the dual nvme drives in raid 0 on the asus m.2x4 mini adapters? if i need to clarify anything please ask (yea im aware the running 2-950 pros in raid 0 is basicly pointless speed, its just what i want) -
6700k dual m.2 effects on sli set up
Andrew Storlie posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Ok so looking at the msi xpower titanium with the dual m.2 slots on the MB, i know the m.2 use the express lanes in the cpu. Will running dual m.2 ssds in raid 0 (and no other drives at all) effect the preformance of an sli set up with 980ti's OR should i find an x99 board with dual m.2's and get a 5820k? -
Ok so i just saw msi has a new z170 chip board out called.... xpower titanium.... there was a clean up on isle 3 cause i jizzed in my pants (like if you get the reference). Well its an all silver and black board. Beautiful look. Well besides beuty it actuualy seems good, huge power delivery 8+4 pin cpu power. Lots of OC features and what not, but something REALLY new. Dual full size m.2 ssd mounts right on the board!!!! Does anyone know if these m.2 slots are raid 0 enabled, cause i love fast storage and i would do anything for a 2x512gb m.2 raid 0 storage.... 4gb/s omg. Im dying for more infor on the motherboard, im already planning a nice liquid build using the maybem aurora 2 silver coolant with some de-anodized waterblocks from xspc..... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm http://gaming.msi.com/products/motherboard/z170a-gaming-series

:naughty: Hello everyone! now it's time for me to share the worklog of my latest build. The Titanium S. This is a collaboration work with my friend Ejay Bosquit where he is my first client. He really requested that I should build him a special modded rig and since he agreed that I will void every warranty of the parts that he will buy and I'm the one who will be deciding the entire look of the build, so I said "Yes! Let's build it." I let Ejay choose which hardware he will buy and use for this build since he has the budget to do so and basically he is the financer of this build. And on the modding and design part, that would be my responsibility. So let's start. First, I wanted to create a new Flagship for my Titanium family. And this will be perfect. It has no theme like the Titanium, just pure freedom. But this time it will be better. Better 90degree motherboard tray conversion, unique color theme, better layout and sexier look. That's why I called it Titanium "S". Because for some reason it's Special, Sporty, Sexy and and it's about Speed. Spec List: Rampage IV Extreme (in Black) Intel Core i7 3970X Cooler Master Cosmos II Corsair 16Gb 2400MHz DDR3 EK Waterblocks 2x Aqua Computer AirPlex 420 Radiators with Corsair AF140 4x GTX780 Reference with EKWB EVGA Supernova 1500w PSU Samsung 840 PRO 250GB in RAID0 Custom Copper Tubes (yes, that is copper tubing!) Rotated motherboard mounting Relocated PSU mounting FTW sleeving So let's start modding!!!

This build is to add a new family member to my Titanium Builds. I call it the Titanium R. There will be 4 kinds of Titanium that I will be releasing in the near future. Titanium X - Extreme build with extreme parts and fully customized. Titanium S - Super build with Mid-high end parts using Cosmos 2. Titanium R - Radical build using Midrange parts and standard size chasis. Titanium J - Jr. size build with M-ATX/ITX parts. For this build we will build the TITANIUM R With this, I will be using the new chasis from NZXT The NZXT Source 530 This case is very compact but it has some serious space inside. what I like about this case is that the metal that were used are very rigid. And it also has very nice details. For example, the back of the case has some extruded mesh for the fans which gives more space. I also like the idea that you could re-adjust where you will be placing your radiator just in case something is hitting your fans/rad Other details, for a cheap price, I really like the way they made it fully compatible with water cooling support and the way the motherboard tray was design and created makes this special. So lets start doing some minor modding to it as some of you know, I always wanted rotated motherboard tray. With this case its very easy to convert. We just rotate the entire casing! After removing the front plastic panel. I made some tracing to know where I should drill holes on the top panel. and then drill! after a few minutes! Tada! we have converted the case into 90 deg rotated motherboard tray. Now I will make something for the back to make it look nice now let us add some more details! my design inspiration for this build is my favorite chair I saw one time at a store. so with this, I started doing my concept design using photoshop hopefully I can full it off. Now let's start doing it! first is get some cardboard and drawing the pattern needed then test fit now the side panels now let's do some cutting! Safety first! then sanding! very smooth! also the side panel then some bending! love it! done! Stay tuned for the next update! Thanks!

Ok, so I have had a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series for around 2 years now running in my main gaming system. Then one day, Inexplicably, the speaker let out a soft pop without any audio load, the "X-Fi" light went out on the side and audio was no more. I tried reinstalling drivers, letting windows 7 update install drivers, and reseating it in the slot/trying a different slot. It is running logitech X-530 5.1 speakers with all of the jack plugged in (analog) but software configured to 2.1. It is also in an ASUS Rampage III Extreme motherboard. There was something peculiar when I tried putting it into another system though... I put it into my media PC with an MSI Z87M-G43 and plugged in the optical cable going from the card to my Onkyo TX-NR609 receiver. Without any drivers installed it worked in 2.0 mode! I am 100% sure that it was coming from the soundcard because the only audio cable plugged into the PC was in the X-Fi card. The HDMI audio from the GTX 650 Ti Boost was disabled in the nVidia control panel, i'm certain. As of now, the card is recognized as "High Definition Audio Device", in my experiences, a very generic name, lol. I then ran windows update which installed drivers for Creative X-Fi Audio Device - WDM. After restarting, the card did not work. It was showing up as "Creative SB X-Fi", and the drivers had been installed. The weird thing is that, although device manager detected the card as "Creative SB X-Fi", when I tried to launch the Creative Audio Control Panel, it said something to the effect of, "The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit." At this point the light on the side of the card still wasn't on (and hadn't been since it "died" in my main machine. When I went to test the audio device in Control Panel-->Hardware and Sound-->Sound, the green bar showed that the test audio was playing, but nothing was coming out of the speakers. When I went into the SPDIF out-->Properties-->Advanced and tried to change the Default format from "2 Channel, 24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)" to "2 Channel, 24 bit, 96000 Hz (Studio Quality", it would change, but when I pressed "Test" to the right of the selection box, a window popped up saying, "Failed to Play Test Tone." This worked before I installed the drivers. The only two options that come up in the Control Panel-->Hardware and Sound-->Sound-->Playback menu are SPDIF out - Creative SB X-Fi - Default Device, Internal AUX Jack - Creative SB X-Fi - Disabled, and then all of the nVidia disabled audio options. On the recording side of things, there is Digital-In - Creative SB X-Fi - Default Device, "What U Hear" - Creative SB X-Fi - Disabled, Microphone FP - Creative SB X-Fi - Disabled-unplugged, and Line-In - Creative SB X-Fi - Disabled-unplugged. I really don't know what else to do! I am sorry to bombard whoever is reading this with a bloody book, but it is how it is. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

This is the scoring and summary page, you're encouraged to read the full review. The Brand is Corsair. The OEM is Flextronics (same as the other AXi units). The 80Plus Rating is Titanium. Currently one of two units to have achieved this rating. The Score is a perfect 10 in all four categories. Passed for 80Plus Titanium in both the hot and cold tests. Excellent ripple suppression. Better than excellent regulation - as low as 0.1%. *As far as I'm aware. Oklahoma Wolf said it was his first perfect 10 score at least.
