Ok so I got out my trusty 3d mark, and my gtx 980 ti hybrid gets 5500 ish, the evga gtx 1080 8gb gets like 7000 the evga titan (X) 6gb gets like 3100 and the gtx titan z 12gb card only gets 4400 ish, so my question is why can't a titan z 12gb beat a 1080 easily? did I do something wrong? have 1000watt psu, 64gb ram x99 asus board 5960x, with Samsung 950, any experts tell me whats up with that? I did download all the NVidia drivers, so I know that was right, seems like the titan z should be the fastest, but it is not, definitely tell the difference for gaming.. IRL

My friend is trying to sell his old Titan Z to get something newer. I think he should keep it as a relic of the past! Yesteryear because anyone can go pick up a 10 series card and it would much better buy than trying to get a Z. Should he keep it or sell it?

Hi guys, I have a pretty high-end workstation that I bought at a charity auction put on by a large company to get rid of their unneeded computers. Because of this unique situation, when I got the computer it had been wiped and needed a new OS and everything. After a few months of it doing great in high settings gaming, it started crashing while in GTA or Total War or even starbound. Sometimes the application would crash while other times the computer would hard crash. The screens would all freeze with audio continuing. It would require a full restart to get it going again. Nothing was overheating, as shown below in the pic I took while the computer was frozen. Any help would be much appreciated. Specs: Intel Core i7-5960X 32 gb Ram NVIDIA GTX Titan Z 500 gb ssd 4 Tb hard disk 1500 watt pwr supply

Are dual GPU cards capable of high end gaming in 2018?
Lord Athetos posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Are cards like the titan Z, or the 295x2 worth buying in 2018 for 1440p or 4k? And what about dual titan Z ir 295x2? I know quad SLI/CF configurations are not worth buying, but what if you could get one por two of these cards cheap enough? And how do these cards compare to actual graphics cards? -
With 3 and 4 way SLI being kicked to the curb by Nvidia, and SLI connectors absent from the 1060, Is Titan Z the last dual GPU card? I love my GTX 690, but it's getting way old now, and the Titan Z is still way beyond my budgetary reach. Opinions on dual GPU cards? AMD "X2" cards are usually dual GPU as well. Do we think both red and green teams are leaving dual GPU cards in the past?

Hello guys! I am going to sell my two TITAN Z cards and was wondering what you think they might be worth? They are used, and so far I cant seem to find the original boxes. They have been used since release and have no damages or stains. Thansk

So, how do dual GPU cards (GTX 5/690s, Titan Zs, Radeon X2s) figure into this equation? If my CPU supports at least 32 lanes, and my board has at least two 16x slots, can I theoretically run two Titan Zs in quad SLI across 2 slots and have both cards running at 16x? Question prompted by watching this video:

Hello and thank you for clicking on this topic! I am going to be building a new system and I am wondering whether or not to but a titan z or titan x. I am wanting the titan z as it has double precision while the titan x does not and the titan z is a dual gpu card. Even though titan x is better for gaming, I am wanting this as a workstation computer as well and my tasks need double precision. I am leaning towards the titan z side at the moment but I am not sure if it can reach 1000mhz (water cooled) and if I can find a water block (EVGA Hydro Copper is a last resort). Any help would be appreciated!

You think Nvidia is coming out with a new TITAN? One that's better than the Z? Or less than the Z but better than the X? Serious business, I'm a media production major at College and that includes pretty much everything you'd think it means, audio, video, gaming, etc. I Have been using cheap laptops for years for PC and Xbox for gaming, I'm done with both and *want a desktop that'll do 4K Gaming/Video Editing & CAPTURING for years!* So I need you guys, (recently started watching Linus on YouTube, and know this community is the one to help) Include a gsync 4K monitor, please. I can drop $2000 CASH and the other $1500 to Samuel L Jackson (AKA "Captiol One")

Just realized Titan Z's are like 3,000$ a piece and there's a guy on pcpartpicker with 2 of them and acts like they are chump change. So if you are on linustechtips.com and have a Titan Z, tell us who you work for so we can work for them too and buy us one of them über GPU's!!!! Sorry been up 27hrs and can't decide on a my pcpartpicker build! *Grabs Monster Energy Drink*

Hey guys, After posting about 2 threads on this sub page, I've finally made a rough "draft" of the components I want to use for my silent PC. If there are any PC experts out there, I would like to know if there is a way of improving the temperatures and noise of this system, my goal is for it to be <30db. Fractal Design R5 Titanium Window Asus X99-E WS Intel Core i7 5960x Patriot Viper Extreme Edition 32GB DDR4 2400Mhz Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SSD Nvidia Geforce GTX Titan X 12GB or Titan Z 12GB ( Please leave suggestions) Corsair 1200w Professional Platinum CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 Fans: Be Quiet! Silent Wings 2 ( 3 - 4 fans ) ------------------------------------------- Will this system be good for 1080p video editing, 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 gaming? Can it reach proper temps and not overheat? Will the noise be <40db while on load? Please leave suggestions and tips, this is my first "silent" build. My budget is $6,500 if there is anything I need to add.

I have been planning to build a super overpriced mega build for a while but I am having trouble finding a suitable motherboard for the task and with the release of skylake I am in a pickle. I have been planning to go with a i7-5960X for the insane amount of PCIe lanes. I was hoping to use thunderbolt so the motherboard will either need it in the IO already or have a TB header for an add-on card. I was hoping to only use 2 graphics card to support my 4 monitors but I had hoped on adding more displays later but without AMD's eyefinity I don't see it happening. Is there anyway to expand 2 Titan Z's to support 6 monitors while saving a display port for the Thunderbolt cable. Keeping in mind I am planning on running 3-4 4K monitors but I would be willing to substitute them with 2K monitors if it allowed for more than 4 displays. I was planning on using intel's NVMe ssd but unless the motherboard has an M.2 slot for the it I will have to just settle for a PCIe SSD or get a PCIe to NVMe card. I am planning on custom watercooling everything so don't worry about the heat. I had hoped to use sub zero cooling on the CPU but the Sub zero case I was looking at wouldn't support the other stuff I was planning on adding. In conclusion, what motherboard has a TB Header, as many sata ports as possible, at least 5 16x PCIe lanes, Intel 2011-v3, 1-2 M.2 slots, and just maybe USB 3.1? I think this one might be on the right track but I can't tell if it has a TB Header (Please find out for me): Asus X99-E WS SSI CEB LGA2011-3

Where are all the Titans? I can't find any of the Blacks or Zs in stock anywhere in the USA. Individual sellers are charging 50% or more over list. Are these all discontinued now? Is there a replacement coming soon? I need one for Octane, not gaming...

hello all long time LTT fan, first time subscriber/poster. I have sitting on my desk a promotional build awaiting my attention, I'm a computer store owner and the I.T director of a local organisation. australian. what we are looking at is an ultimate workstation build, 2 off identical systems. these systems will be for 3d animation/architecture (for animation and game design) and 3d and video rendering (for online and local film work). the build that has been suggested by my counterpart contains 4 gtx 980's, oc'd and watercooled. now my thoughts are different. as far as i know the 980's want be a great hand at 3d design and animation (mudbox and 3ds max) but i may be mistaken. in my version of the build i have placed 2 gtx titan z's and a high level quadro card (yes we are team green) what are peoples thoughts on these options? we will be running with 5-6 1tb ssd's in raid5-10 for speed and redundancy with some 4tb HDD's the mobo we have chosen supports simultaneous 4 way x16 and naturally have the 5960 x extreme edition. the costs and such are not an issue as 1 of the systems is a prize in a competition and the second system will be used internally.

Hey guys, I'm still a student but i earn a lot of money from programming, filming and editing. I already have (new) what you might call a "beast of a pc". I'm planning to build a new workstation so that i could actually hire a professional to work for me and do some of my video and most of my photo editing. While i focus on Unity and school. click here for the list any suggestions? and my main problem is should i go for 2 titan blacks, a titan z, 2 titan zs or wait for their new counterparts to come out. P.S. i have a budget ceiling of $15000, also suggestions on some redundant or absurd parts i have would be great

So I was wondering? As of today the best gpus to my knowledge if theres better even other contenders please let me know, but the best GPUs for a game dev or even cg movie makers, are the K6000 and Titan Z. I only know of these two cards for great rendering performance. I saw a bunch of things real time rendering with the Titan Z I found it amazing and intriguing. Now I guess my question here is whats the best GPU for accelerated graphics rendering and without facoring price. Just plain and simple, the absolute best GPU. My last question is sli with GPUs of this nature. Your not going to game with these cards, if only to test a game, but you wouldn't buy these cards for strictly gaming per say. So I know that scaling with the quadro series in particular is great. So I was wondering if theres a possible way to have more than 4 GPUs for one system with sli.

I tried to upload this to OC3D forum, but it don't work. Let's see does Linus works. Call me Dipper315 instead, I want to change my nick name but don't know how. Today I flipped through a Hong Kong Computer Hardware Magazine E-Zone. They published an article regarding Nvidia Titan Z. --------------------------Source------------------------- E-Zone Hong Kong 5/8/2014 ----------------------------------Article------------------------------------------- Main: http://harrylee.sytes.net:5000/fbsharing/jTOPBuO3 http://harrylee.sytes.net:5000/fbsharing/GfTHqQb3 Alternatives: http://imgur.com/7I2GRFT,FQGvb8d#0 Sorry, the error "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." Download the picture and view it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The article confirms that the core used in Nvidia Titan Z is a downgraded version of GTX 780Ti. E-Zone predict that first batch of Titan Z will be priced at 30000HKD or above because of its availability. Besides that, Inn3D posted a a picture of a massive heat sink for dual-core graphic cards. The heat sink features 3 giant fans and many heat pipes. So I was debating on 4k but I decided to stick with the rog swift. I got to see this monitor in person and I fell with it. Now I just need to find the perfect Nvidia GPU or GPU configuration, cause obviously its gsync enabled. My question is what's the best GPU configuration to max out that 144hz 1440p res on full settings for ALL of the newer titles. I was thinking sli titan blacks or maybe a titan z. Not really sure. Any input will. Love, Jape.
