any thoughts an advice on new case an mods for my old build an layout as ill soon be transferring my previous LITTLE YELLOW BEAST to my new case the nzxt h5 flow - paint job still in the works the case needs two more even coats long with the io & pci plates hard drive , bottom angled fan mount an rad mount brackets before gear would be transferred still waiting on vertical mount to arrive so i can paint that to all the previous setup's gear is to be moved aside from a ram upgrade im going from 32gb to 64gb my current game plan for gear layout in the new case is to vertical mount gpu as before but with Coolermaster Universal Vertical GPU Holder Kit Ver.2 an to mount the aio in the front top fan position in the pull config with both 120mm fans as front exhaust on the outer of the rad bracket mount also with the bottom angled fan as exhaust to an a 120mm Fan Size Cooler Exhaust Shroud on the other side of the aio as a intake scoop aimed torwards the top front fan to be set as intake along with the other an rear also as intake ther are two main reasons i down with some of my builds 1.positive pressure with some case an my room air flow an temps an gear just works better 2.cleaning my home has a shitty stucco ceiling the just flaks fine paint dust that cake my filter on pc's an other gear a as the home is a rental i cant do a thing about it so ease of cleaning is a must especially not having to open up the case every week to clean but rather just taking my shopvac over the outside to off an out the filters is better an iv got some good filter mesh to put between the top an rear fans that iv used before the collects the paint fleck an does hinder air flow so thats the jest your thought advice , or gentle criticism 06/22/23 update 2nd & 3rd paint coat update these 6 pixs are of the 2nd & 3rd coatsthis side of the front panel looks better on the other side more pixs later plus the io pci plates an drive an fan tray mounts an fittings will be coated later to day then a final pic with all together before the pc gut are transferred

After Linus' review of the Aorus gaming "monitor" for his personal PC, I ended up getting it as a monitor for my pc and I'm kind of disappointed the viewing angles suck when I draw I can see a colour change as I move my art around the screen. I'm also siting back 3 feet from the display, as Linus suggested to do. But some days I feel like he was paid to sell the product and that he doesn't actually use himself. I don't know, I know Linus has good taste in tech so I thought it would have been perfect so I spent the extra money for it. I will try to see if he's using it on the Wanshow this week I guess. I wonder if Linus could give a fast opinion on it after using it for a few weeks. Also I don't hate the monitor just disappointed by the viewing angles. so TL;DR: Do you think Linus is using the monitor that he said he was switching too? or, do you think he just changed it back after the video was done like he did with the last monitor?

I was looking for a 1440p 144Hz monitor and found out about this monitor after looking at a local online retailer and it really seems intriguing to me. What do you guys think about this particular monitor? Here's a few links for reference: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/UM.CX0AA.P05 https://store.acer.com/en-my/nitro-xv340ck-p I couldn't find reviews for them and the few I found were saying it's a good monitor for the price but with a few drawbacks like brightness at 250nits, flat screen and the maybe some nitpicks that doesn't really concern me. I'm not too sure whats the difference between the model names as some stores I find the model names with/without the P at the end. Though looking at the spec sheets, it seems to be the same thing. I currently only have a single 24" 1080p monitor (Viewsonic XG2402) and honestly feel like at this point anything is an upgrade from it. It seems that in the US it's selling for $600? However, in my country I can find it for $400 which is the cheapest ultrawide monitor I could find with the specs it offers. Other monitors of note: Acer CB342CK - $350 - This model is basically the same monitor as the XV340CK except its only 75Hz. However, I'd probably spend the extra $50 to get XV340CK for its 144Hz. Acer X34p - $700 - I'd take that the X34p is much better than the XV340CK but the price tag is steering me away from it. MSI MAG341CQ - $610 - Similar specs to the XV340CK, difference is this is VA panel, 100 Hz only with 8ms response time, but at least its curved. But honestly at this price range, I'd probably get the X34p over this. Edit1: Also, I will mainly use this monitor for gaming; Apex Legends or other FPs games, Monster Hunter World and other various RPG games like Division 2. I also do coding on the side and watch Youtube/videos/movies etc. Any input from you guys would be appreciated.

So ive been reading up on the rumours and leaks surrounding the upcoming AMD Vega cards and their placement in the market seems interesting to say the least. The top Vega card looks like it will be much better than the Titan XP or the 1080Ti which will most likely make it too expensive for the average user. The 2nd best Vega card tho, looks to be a sweet spot between the 1080 and the 1080Ti. Since 2kliksphilip has shown us how a 1080 cant truly run games at the highest possible settings in 1080p and the 1080Ti is too much but still too little for a true stable 4K experience, this Vega card seems to be the best of the bunch. It really depends on how will AMD price these cards and if they actually deliver on all these promises and trailers with big numbers. The 1080Ti seemed atleast as a good future proof piece of hardware, after a while i realized that once HBM2 and High Bandwith Cache become the industry standard in the near future, it´ll seem nearly obsolete. In conclusion, AMD might just have the next big thing on the horizon but it is not worth waiting 3months for the upgrade as the recent price drop of the 1080s place it just 100€ above the 1070 and 250-350€ under the 1080Ti´s price. I just wanted to put my thoughts into words, but tell me your opinions guys, ill be closely monitoring this thread.

With ryzen growing closer and closer, leaks become greater and greater. Lastest leaks like this one https://www.techpowerup.com/230227/amd-zen-cpu-complexes-indivisible-dont-expect-6-core-ryzen-report suggest that ryzen will more then likely come in 8c/16t, 8c/8t and 4c/8t models. This i find just very bizzare as it makes the 4/8 and 8c models basically the same, though 8 cores are faster than a quad core with 4 smt threads. But still doesn't make too much sense with there possibly being a large price delta between the chips. Reading into ryzen more, it seems like the chips are made of two 4c modules, at least for the high end chip, obviously the 4 core model only being 1 module. This is where my theory comes in. It is is possible we could see a 8c/12t processor. Now this does sound really odd, but it is possible. Since ryzen features two 4 core modules, one module could be fully featured with SMT to form a 8c/12t model which would compete with the 6800k which would make a lot more sense then a flat 8 core model. Now i fully understand that ALL OF THIS should be taken with a grain of salt and may or may not be true but it was just a thought that i had, one for all of us to ponder over in the commets, none of this is conformed so dont take this like i am telling the truth. But leave a comment below telling me what you think

Imagine the world is going to its end, and everyone just starts committing crimes, terrorists attacking different countries, armies gives up on defending, some one launching nukes and missiles. then... people found out that it was just a giant astroid traveling super close to the Earth, and what has been done can't be taken back.

Hi. I've been looking around for a custom rig to build and I have become very interested in this one. The issue is, price is too high. $1,500 to $2,000 will work for me. Also, things you would change? I'd like to know.

So I found the Prostar Clevo N850HP6 on Newegg and it seemed like an amazing deal, coming in at $1199 with a GTX 1060 6GB and a 120GB M.2 SSD boot drive with 1TB HDD. The only problem is that I can't find any reviews online whatsoever. Has anyone heard anything good about it, or has anyone here decided to be the brave soul and purchase it? Thanks

I was looking into braided sleeves and found you can use materials like diamond braid poly rope. But I was wondering what steps would have to be take to make the rope myself so I can add a design into it with different colors. Since I wanted to make a special gift for friend since their birthday past.

I'm building my very first gaming PC based on AMD technology. This is what I have: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GZXKbj As you may noticed this is a budget build and I wanna keep cost low. The purpose of this PC is playing at: 1080p, 60fps, Ultra-High settings, Anti-Aliasing on. I'm not gonna play such demanding games like The Witcher 3 or Crysis 3 (rarely play MMORPG) I'm more into first person shooters like: Battlefield 1, COD Black Ops 3, with some exceptions like GTA V, Dark Souls 3 and War Thuder.
-
so this is what I got so far: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JdGrhq I wanna see if it has any problems like: compatibility, bottle neck and some other stuff like that. Also I wanna ask what is it capable of and if it would last for 5 or 6 years.

Hey guys I'm building my very first gaming PC. This is what I have: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Hmt2f8 The purpose of this build is for playing at 1080p, 60fps, ultra-high settings. I wanna it to last long for around 5 to 6 years, and this also means that I don't want to upgrade it during that time. I'm not gonna play demanding games like The Witcher 3 or Crysis 3. I do prefer first person shooter rather than MMORPG. Some games that I will use it for are: GTA V, Dark Souls, Far Cry 3, Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, COD Black Ops 3, COD 4 Remastered, War Thunder. Please let me know what do you guys think and what would you change of it. P.S: I would like to have a variant of this PC with the NEW Ryzen 5-1500X and a RX 480 8GB, however I don't know which Mobo supports AMD and which is the best RX 480 8GB (If it is possible I'd like an ATX Mobo)

Hello LTT community its been forever since I made a post on here, and today I bring you 2 possible AMD RYZEN 5 builds that have been hovering on my PCPartPicker parts list for months. Tired of Intel Pricing and the X99 Architecture though aging, it's still overly expensive. Almost got Kabylake, but I'm glad I waited for RYZEN which is slowly getting better and better especially since BIOSs have been updating and such. Need your thoughts on both as well as suggestions and If I should change parts on either. And lastly, help me decide which build to go with. Mainly using for gaming, some vid editing and a wee bit of content creation. See PCPP Links below and help me out!! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/N4GjQV - White/Blue Theme RYZEN 5 1600 https://pcpartpicker.com/list/29Yhr7 - Black/Turquoise/White accents Theme RYZEN 5 1600X (I really like this unique theme since White and Blue has been done frequently and this is different) Thanks in advance and enjoy!!!

I am building my first computer later in the year and i am most likely going to purchase the ASUS 1080ti strix mainly for it being cooler temperature wise than the 1080ti founders edition and also because the design of the card will go better with the rest of the parts i am planning on getting and the custom rgb helps too. i just want to know peoples thoughts on this card especially people who have used it or have one currently. thanks!

Hey everyone, what do you all recommend for efficient cooling radiator-wise for a decent CPU overclock and slightly OCed GTX 1080s? Was thinking since they are preicey right now was planning to get one now and the minute the Price drops significant enough, buy another and SLI. I am looking to seriously get into 1440p gaming. CPU I was looking at was an i7 6850K and an OC from 3.6GHz to at least 4.3-4.5 roughly nothing crazy just a decent OC and was trying to get the 1080s as close to 2100MHz as possible without over exerting the GPU. Will be gaming heavily but casually and want enough GPU OC to get a score I can be proud of in BenchMarks. 240mm, 360mm,480mm...which rad for cpu? and for 2nd Rad for GPUs 240mm or a 360mm for dual 1080s ? These are the two I was looking at, rly am an EVGA fan through an through, but when I saw this 1 i fell in love but at same time felt like I would be cheating on EVGA lol. (GUILTY CONSCIENCE MUCH???)Let me know which ones would you all get as well. http://galaxstore.net/GALAX-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-1080-HOF-8GB_p_39.html http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487245&cm_re=evga_gtx_1080_ftw-_-14-487-245-_-Product Let me know, and also if I should get separate loops which I know is a hassle or use a single loop with 2 rads. Thanks in advance!!

Is there really a big difference between 8700 and 8700k. Now that K is hard to find in the market is it worth going for 8700? Building my first PC so, how big a difference having over clocking ability? Is 7700K better than 8700? Thanks! Usage: Coding, gaming, streaming, etc.
