US based hardware brand Corsair can be chosen for a lot of PC components. What originally was a memory company is now selling cases, PSUs, SSDs, fans and flash drives as well as desktop hardware such as gaming branded mice, keyboards and headsets. Many industry experts expected the manufacturer to jump into graphics cards next. They were proven wrong today as Corsair revealed their all new L100i RGB Fully Mechanical Gaming Lubricant Dispenser. This appears strange at first, but George Makris, Corsair's Product Manager, explains: "Basically, the strategy is to have everything on the average gamer's desktop made by Corsair. This product fills a hole in the line-up, so now you can have the full Corsair experience at your desk." Except for the desk itself, he's absolutely right. So far, lubricant dispensers were only made by sanitary product makers. The new device is not only the first dispenser made by a PC hardware manufacturer, but also the first one to shine in over 16 million colours, generated by LED's inside the device, which can be programmed in the driver. "Our engineers have been hard at work to make this product possible," says Makris. The dispensing mechanism itself does not feature any electronic parts, which means it is really fully mechanical. But will it be enough? The device comes with Corsair's controversial new gaming logo that was not welcomed by everyone - "Bat'leth" was one of the more relaxed denotations.

Eunji's EP, The Space, features her next exploration into her solo career, with her new title track, The Spring, a ballad made for thinking about the season of Spring. I am a huge fan of Eunji due to her amazing voice, and I put Eunji as South Korea's #1 vocalist. Her voice is also unique and soothing with a cool tone to it. I can't wait to listen to this EP and share my thoughts on each song. I have chosen to leave out the piano version of The Spring due to it being relatively the same as the original mix. 0:00 - Absolutely beautiful beginning to the song with some windchimes and a warm guitar to bring the atmosphere to the listener's ears. 0:20 - Eunji's vocals effortlessly flow into the song, with the background guitar giving her vocals some body and warmth. She has an absolutely beautiful voice. 0:40 - The background starts to pick up a lot more here which anticipates the chorus to be a sweet release. Eunji's vocals remain front and center, with the background accordion still flowing through the song. The gentle "oooo" vocals underneath give Eunji's vocals priority and elevate the character of the song in this section. 1:02 - The beautiful, melodic, and soothing mix of accordion, guitar, delicate claps, and of course Eunji's warm and inviting vocals create this absolutely magnificent chorus. The subvocals also give Eunji's main vocals some flair and body to stand out even further from the background composition. 1:45 - The guitar returns here with a light piano, whilst still giving Eunji's vocals the front of the stage for an amazing, soothing rhythmic second verse. 2:30 - This second verse gives even more soul and tone to Eunji's vocals, going a higher register than the first chorus whilst also increasing the tone for the accordion, interestingly keeping the guitar at a more floored tone. This is a beautiful elavation from the first chorus. 2:50 - The simple composition of the guitars to give Eunji's vocals some flow and body is an excellent choice here. Eunji's vocals are amazingly well presented and makes the listener appreciate her talent a lot more. 0:22 - Eunji's vocals really pop here combined with the simple kickdrum and the guitar strokes. Jineon's warm, husky vocals contrast Eunji's heavenly soft vocals in an amazing way here. Especially when they harmonize. 1:03 - The harmony between Eunji and Jineon is so beautiful, especially when the balld here is so muted on the background composition, only having a simple guitar strum and some minor background harmonies to give the vocals some more body. 2:08 - This enhanced chorus is so beautiful with the mirrored harmony of the two vocalist, again with the simple background composition. 3:00 - This beautiful, simple humming is given so much body with the undertone and once again with the simple guitar strumming. This is such a classic ballad that accentuates the talent from Eunji and Jineon. 0:15 - This faster-paced start begins with an interesting electric guitar with some higher-toned beats and of course Eunji's vocals in the front. 0:45 - A drum is introduced here which is interesting as it accompanies that electric guitar, even though this song has a ballad feel to it. Eunji's vocals only promote the ballad side which is an interesting contract to the otherwise rock-inspired background instrumentals composition. 1:00 - The rock-inspired instrumentals effortlessly accompany the beautiful vocals of Eunji somehow, it's a really interesting contrast. 2:52 - This acapella with the muted instrumentals is an interesting change from the original cues of the song, Eunji's vocals are so beautiful here as she reaches the high note. The song really makes us focus on her vocals a lot here, and re-introduces the instrumentals as she reaches the climax of her high notes. 0:20 - The simple acoustic guitar strumming combined with Eunji's soft vocals creates a soft, calm atmosphere that is so comfortable to listen to. 0:48 - An electric guitar is introduced here to elevate the composition, as well as a few violins to further accompany Eunji's vocals. It's a beautiful composition that elevates Eunji's vocals. 1:35 - The background composition here is very orchestra-like especially when accompanying Eunji's beautiful vocals. It's almost theatre-like. 2:05 - The whole theatre vibe is further accentuated here with the beautiful mix of guitars and violins to side by Eunji's beautiful and powerful vocals. 2:58 - Eunji's power vocals shine here with the background elevating her voice a lot to the ceiling, it's a beautiful and powerful composition. Eunji did not disappoint with this EP. All the songs on it are absolutely beautiful to listen to, her vocals always take the center of the stage with the instrumentals, no matter how intense, are always second to her calming, soothing voice. My favorite song of the album is The Spring, I absolutely love the calm composition and the way she sings it really does make me think about the glories of the season Spring and everything about it. A very soothing song indeed. I also particularly like First Farewell for the interesting harmony between Eunji and Jineon. Their voices are so unique and contrast each other nicely, which creates a nice divide and beautiful harmony at the same time. This combined with the simple guitar instrumental makes First Farewell a beautifully constructed song. I love this album so much, I can tell Eunji gave this album so much love and effort and it shows in the quality of each song. Eunji is such a national treasure.

I'm just curious, i know how emulators work and all that, but i always wondered what the limit is in terms of what you can emulate on a modern X86-64 computer. Kinda hard to explain what i'm asking but, does it all come down to how old and relatively simple the machine/architecture is ? for example, correct me if im wrong but the most recent "proper" console to be emulated is a PS2 right ? so in a few years when computers are faster, will we have a PS3 or PS4 emulator ? (i know theres no point, as at this point the consoles are basically PC's anyway but i digress) Or is there some kind of specific hardware configuration that simply cannot be emulated by an x86 system for physical reasons ? Like, could i theoretically write a program to emulate some benign shit like washing machine firmware, and have that emulator really think it is a washing machine ? I'm rambling, please does someone understand what i am asking ? cheers

Hey. Just had a quick question about CPU processing and when will it hinder a massive drop in FPS for games. I am wanting to start a little side job where I build rigs and sell them and I want to focus on bare bones where it's very up-gradable. I was thinking i3 6100 would be fine to get the ball rolling. Any tips? Cheers <3

Back in 2014, HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) were working on a never before seen type of computer, called The Machine, where it uses memristors, huge amounts of ram, and silicon photonics. As time went on, reality started to set in, by using never before use technology, bring the entire project out to market, was proven to be impossible. But the folks at HPE aren't giving up that easily and last week, the have revealed a working prototype. The Machine features technology such as The X1 module But the true intentions of The Machine, isn't just about fast moving data at long distances. It's goal was to use NVM (Non-Volatile Memory) a replacement to DRAM, where it consumers less power and low latency optical interconnects. HPE's vision of The Machine, was to use vast amounts of NVM memory, accessible across many SoCs. It's also possible it might work together with current accelerators, like those from Intel, Nvidia, and AMD. While HPE's The Machine, probably won't be out of prototype stage anytime soon, but what's they've learned and designed with The Machine, might be implemented into their future systems. HPE's The Machine, also known as "Memory Driven Computing" https://www.extremetech.com/computing/240248-hp-demonstrates-next-generation-computing-prototype-machine-comes-together

Hi there! I have an issue with my PC that I am worried about. It could be caused by any number of things and I don't have the availability to take my pc into a "local" (3 hours away) shop at the moment. First thing that has happened. Over the last 9-10 months I have gone through three "ASUS Full HD 1080p 144Hz 1ms DP HDMI " monitors. Board in them simply fried. Sent back and got a new one. After the most recent decided to give out, sending it back, waiting a month, and getting it back I was relieved. Until a few days later when I would try to wake it up from sleep (I sent them to sleep after 30 minutes of non use) They would turn on like normal. Then turn off and on once or twice more. This persisted until today (about a week later). When my monitors would sleep, then I would wake them up I would find my keyboard and mouse were not working. Like they weren't even plugged in. Did a hard shutdown and it worked again. Until I got home recently and this happened when starting up my pc from being fully off. It would fail to load windows and go through a constant boot cycle. I did some troubleshooting and could only get into windows on safe mode. After safe mode I restarted my pc normally and everything seemed time. I decided to see if I could run malwarebytes just in case. (I don't see now I could have a virus or anything as I only go to reputable pron sites and only play one game) As soon as I went to click download (I didn't have it downloaded already for some reason) my pc shut off and started the boot cycle over again. I also took my tower apart, made sure everything was still plugged in correctly. I gave up after a while and decided my pc pooped the bed and I would have to find a new hobby for a few weeks until I can find a way to get it repaired. My PC specs are CPU - Intel Core i7 7820x 8-Core 16-Thread + Dark Rock Pro 3 Extreme CPU Cooler Ram - 32GB DDR4 4x8GB Motherboard - ASUS X299 TUF MARK 2 GPU - EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB HYBRID Water Edition Memory - 256GB SAMSUNG 960 EVO M.2 Solid State Drive + 3TB Western Digital RED Hard Disk Drive Case - Phanteks P400s Tempered Glass Edition, Black Power Supply - EVGA SUPERNova 850w 80+ Gold Rated OS - Windows 10 64-bit If anyone has any idea of what if giving out or happening I would immensely appreciate it! Cheers!

I think Linus should make the Wan show more "just listening" friendly. There have been many times that I am just listening and then Linus starts using gestures, or screen sharing and I will not understand what he's talking about. So I have to stop what I'm doing, replay the part I missed, and watch it to understand what he's talking about. Please show your support below and try to get this to get noticed so he can use this constructive criticism. Also they should add the wan show to Spotify as a podcast, it would be so much easier.

I have a strict max budget of $25. Preferably earbuds for usage in lowsec though I will take over-ear recommendations if the sound and build quality is good enough. My first priority is sturdiness - i tend to break headphones, no matter how careful I am. I don't think I've had a pair of headphones last more than 12 months on me (but they've all been cheap). However the sound can't be "shit", I need to pick out details in the music especially in the drum parts. Tagging @Max_Settings here since you seem to know a thing or two about audio.

alright, so this is gonna be the start of the buildlog i'm doing to switch my system from it's current config to AMDs Threadripper platform. I'm doing this because my motherboard died sadly. I was in the process of swapping the CPU for a 2690V2 when i put in a little too much force and ended up breaking one of the chokes on the VRMs when my screwdriver slipped. It's the middle one on the picture below. Luckily Asrock just recently released the X399M Taichi board, which makes this as good of a time as any to make the plunge! Lesson learned i guess, when i get to installing the Threadripper slow and steady is gonna be the way to go Just look at this board tough! If i ever got a tech-boner from something it has got to be this thing. so much stuff crammed on so little space! First things first, right now my setup looks like this: which is really just a heartbreaking thing to see if i'm honest. this rig was made to crunch numbers in Folding@Home, not sit still disassembled on my desk. Sadly i won't be able to really get going with this untill later on this month when my paycheck comes. I was not prepared to make the switch this early, so i can only buy the motherboard right now. speaking of which, lets make a to do list. i really only need to swap out the RAM, motherboard and CPU. everything else in the system is ready to go really. I'll also need to swap out the X99 edition CPU block for a TR4 model. PARTS! RED= pending, BLUE= bought, GREEN= arrived and in my hands! Asrock X399M Taichi motherbord AMD RYZEN Threadripper 1900X Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000 EKWB Supremacy Threadripper CPU block EKWB EK-FC Geforce GTX FE GPU block XSPC temperature sensor/display Alphacool temperature sensor in a G1/4 fitting Noctua NF-F12 Chromax (x3) So i guess that's it for now. Watch this space for updates, which will come as parts start rolling in!

I came across an add listing for: R410 motherboard 2x Intel xeon x5550 Intel Ark 16gb DDR3 HDD (120gb - 500gb) the guy has 5 servers like the one above selling each for 300€ without a case. Now I don't have anything planned just seems like cool hardware for something (any suggestions welcomed). All i want to know really is, if its a fair price?

What is your answer? I got it to 26 This is how I thought: Only thing different about the last blue flower is that it has 4 petals/leaves instead of 5.The number of petals/leaves does not matter. They are only there to mess with your mind.If you use simple algebra/equation system then you get the answer 26.Simple answer shown below:y = red flowerx = blue flower z = yellow flowery+y+y = 3y = 60y+x+x = 30x-2z = 3x+z+x = ? = 26

Hello all, I recently posted about this and got a lot of help, but I have found spare cash and decided to change my budget for more variety. 1. Budget & Location My budget is around the $900 and quite possibly low $1000 but would love to stay out of it, and my currency is $USD 2. Aim The aim of this build is editing videos and somewhat light gaming, I love to play smaller games like Cs Go but I would still love to get smooth playable fps on games like fallout 4. As well as possibly streaming. 3. Monitors I will most likely be using one of my tv's that connect through hdmi, or a low end monitor I find around the house 4. Peripherals I will be needing an OS preferably Windows 10, and also a wireless network adapter because I am not in a position to go wired atm. Although I have had word of a motherboard with built in wifi so that can be an option. 5. Why are you upgrading? I am upgrading because my laptop is just not cutting it anymore and I believe it is long over due an upgrade 6. Things to note First off I know it going wireless is bad for streaming... no need to remind me xD. Also, please leave notes with your pc part picker list that explains why you choosed the parts and why they would work well with the build! Thanks! I like the intel i7 so if you can fit that in the build that would be awesome, and maybe a cool case would be nice.

Introduction So, like many people out there I've become bored with my simple quad core CPU rig and have decided to step up my game, big time- to dual Xeon E5-2670's on socket LGA 2011 with 64GB's of DDR3 ECC RAM. Now, you may be asking yourself "Jack why the fuck do you need 16 cores, 32 threads, and 64GB's of DDR3 ECC RAM!?!" and that's a very valid question. I do a LOT of video and photo editing as well as a lot of 3D rendering in Cinema4D plus I LOVE to mess around with virtual machines, and so I found that my pleb i5-4690k was just not holding up, at least in those productivity scenarios- as it was / is perfectly fine for all my gaming needs. Without further delaying, I present to you... The Beast Box Specs Intel Xeon E5-2670*** Intel Xeon E5-2670*** Cooler Master Gemini II*** Cooler Master Gemini II*** Intel Dual LGA 2011 Socket Motherboard*** 16x 4GB's 1600Mhz DDR3 ECC Samsung RAM*** Gigabyte Windforce Geforce GTX 750ti* 240GB OCZ Trion 150 SSD* 4TB Seagate NAS Drive 4TB Seagate NAS Drive EVGA Supernova 850W B2 80+ PSU*** Rosewill RSV-R4000*** Rosewill 120MM Fan 4 Pack** Rosewill PCI-E USB 3.0 Card*** Generic PCI-E 5.1 Sound Card*** * = Already Own ** = Ordered *** = Received Updates 6/15/16 Today I purchased the Intel Dual LGA 2011 motherboard as the quantity was limited and it was an offer I couldn't pass up, only $199 plus $15 shipping versus nearly $330 plus shipping for any of the other dual socket LGA 2011 motherboards on EBay. I also ordered the two Cooler Master Gemini II CPU coolers which should be enough to cool those CPU's, come Friday I hope to have my whole PC sold and by the end of next week I should have enough money to order everything except the 4TB HDD's which I'll be acquiring in the future so in the mean time a 1TB Western Digital Blue will suffice, with an additional 2TB's of NAS. 6/16/16 Today I sold off the rest of my rig on /r/HardwareSwap and all the money should be in my PayPal by the end of next week, so I'll be able to purchase the rest of the components then. HYPEEEEE. 6/21/16 So my motherboard came into and this thing is not only fucking huge, but absolutely gorgeous- I'm still waiting on the money to become available to my paypal but once it does the rest of the items will be ordered! Just ordered the CPU's, CPU Coolers, as well as some case fans. Once I receive the rest of my money through PayPal I'll be ordering the RAM, and Chassis. 6/22/16 So today my USB 3.0 Card and Sound Card came in and are working perfectly Could not be happier with how this is coming along. 7/01/16 The build is complete, I've also ran some benchmarks and this thing is an ABSOLUTE BEAST! Questions / Comments / Concerns I'd love to hear what you guys have to say, so let me know if you guys have any questions, comments or concerns regarding this build as well as constructive criticism and other ideas. Thanks, Jack Gerrior (aka Jacktastic-Mofo)
