Hello, I am just wondering if my gpu is at a safe temp while gaming. It normally averages around 85 - 89 degrees when gaming. Now I have repasted the gpu however it has just not gotten any cooler. Now it is an asus rx 580 8gb and a dual card so I'm not so overly worried but I need this card to last me an extra 5 months and it has been with me for a while nearly everyday so it's been through what I say 'discomfort'. So my question is, is is this a safe temperature and last me a little longer. I've had it about 4 years and apparently gpu's only last 3-5 years so I'm worried is 85-89 degrees celsuis safe? (185-192 Fahrenheit)

I've been dealing with high GPU temperatures while gaming and wanted to reach out for some advice. Here are my full specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: RX 5700 XT (Mech OC) RAM: Corsair 16GB, 3200MHz Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M Gaming Edition PSU: Gigabyte P550U My RX 5700 XT is reaching around 76-80°C core temp and 102°C hotspot temp during AAA titles like RDR 2, Cyberpunk, and Far Cry 6. Any thoughts or suggestions to manage this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have had a recent issue in the game FiveM where my CPU is spiking rapidly in temperature. Through my iCUE dashboard it reports package temperature between 90C and 100C, has never exceeded 100C as long as I have observed it. About 4 or 5 of the core temps also record up to this temp however the rest remain between 60-70C. The Coolant Temp never exceeds 40C and the reported Load on the app in game is only between 5-10%. I tested a few other games I know to be CPU intensive such as Beam NG with AI and no temperatures exceeded 85C. I also ran cinebench and received a score of ~24000 during a 30 minute test. The CPU temps never exceeded 85C during the test. I am running Windows 11 Home 64-bit. Updated recently. Specs Processor: Intel i9-12900KS RAM: 32 GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance. MBoard: Pro Z690-A Wifi Graphics Card: NVidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti (Suprim model) Storage: Corsair MP600 PRO XT 2TB (C drive with Windows), MP600 2TB (I believe same model, not specified in speccy), Seagate HardDrive 8TB. PSU: RM1000 BIOS Version: American Megatrends International, LLC. A.Z5 7/12/2022 SMBIOS 3.5 The whole system was built by OriginPC in 2022, it shipped with a faulty GPU which was replaced.

im currently using a ryzen 7 5700x with a ID cooling 67xt on a matx build, the pc is quite small. is it alright for the idle temps to be around 45-55? it also takes a while to cooldown. the case im using is a jonsbo c6 with 2 140mm fans on top and buttom and 1 120mm exhaust for the front. I already tried making the top as exhaust and front as intake but the temps are worse in that config

Hi All, I built my PC about a year ago and it worked perfectly fine. No loading problems, zero stuttering, and but most importantly, the CPU temperature peaked at 75 while under full load. I recently moved across country and prepped by removing the AIO, GPU, and RAM. I also wrapped and packaged everything accordingly. After reassembling my PC, I noticed a significant increase in PC temps. While running games, my CPU has consistently been 85+ degrees and has been 60 while idle. While playing Remnant 2, the temps averaged 95 and reached 100 at certain times. Even when running all of my fans at max speed, my temperatures still remain high. I tried removing my AIO again to reapply thermal paste. After that failed, I cleaned all of my fans and radiator with a compressed air can, still no luck. I have all 6 Lian Li fans running as intake (bottom, side), the AIO as outtake at the top of the case, and the ASRock fan as outtake in the back. Additionally, I also noticed scratch marks on the AIO plate when reapplying the thermal paste after moving. Do you think I should get a new AIO or that something else is the issue? Last week I upgraded my CPU, motherboard, and cooler to the 5800X3D, Asus Tuf B550+wifi 2, and LianLi alc360. And I'm noticing that the CPU has very short spikes in temp while on my desktop. Is this behavior normal because I don't remember my 5600x spiking in temp for a split second and then ramping back down? The motherboard bios are the most recent (3405). When nothing is happening the package temp is 41c but the spikes go to 70c. Could it just be the lighting software or Chrome running at startup that is causing this?

-ASUS TUF Z370-Plus Gaming -CORSAIR iCUE H115i RGB ELITE Liquid CPU Cooler, top mounted as air out - case Corsair 4000D Airflow - Corsair Elite AF120 fans 1 Airintake front,1 Air outtag back - case came with 2 fans(120) that I used in front as airintake - Intel Core i9 9th Gen - Core i9-9900KF So everything is running but I need some help, with Bios settings, first I want to insure that the cpu runs without oc. I think it does but unsure because in Windows it showes running with 5Ghz. My problem is that if I use intel xtu to see temperature and load and then run a stress test, the temps are really high. CPU goes from 35C to around 90c no throttle shows there, so that’s good but still feels like a high temp. What concerns me is the vr thermal throttling that occurs about 1-2 min into the test. Did I oversee anything in the Bios or is this just a 370 board problem? Been 10 years that I really was into pc building so need to refresh my knowledge and maybe someone her knows how to better set this up.

hello, so i got this 2 TB Lexar NM790 SSD for my laptop, it is asus tuf a15 fa506ic. and i used it for moving my data from old ssd to my new ssd. when i check it using crystaldiskinfo the temp is 69 (nice) degrees. after a few sec it became 75 degrees on HWMonitor. its a gen 4 ssd but my laptop is gen 3 ssd so the speed should be in gen 3 and its true but why the temp is so high? should i use the heatsink for it? cause there are no vent directly to the ssd. so what should i do for now? i'm affraid that this temp might hurt it. oh and i using the ac at 22 degrees celsius

Hello there, Last year I have build my PC, unfortunately I got a faulty motherboard which is why I repasted useing Thermalgrizzly Aeronaut. When I recently Torture tested my CPU useing Prime95 I found my CPU hitting 90°C after only a few minutes. I know the 5800X isn´t a cool chip by a long shot, but i just expected a 360mm AIO to do better (All Fans and Pump were set to silent). I have since then tightened the Thumbscrews for the Pump as I wasn´t sure whether I had done it properly before. I don´t really know what to do or even if these are abnormal tepms (probaly tho right?) which is why i came to ask here. Thanks for your Replys! Hello, I've been grappling with a persistent issue on my high-end PC. (Rtx4090, amd 9 ... etc) While it breezes through everyday tasks and older games (not a single crash there), it crashes during intense gaming sessions and stress tests. Lowering graphics settings offers only temporary relief. But every time the PC is under heavy load GPU + CPU these crashes mostly lead to a return/crash to Windows (app crashes) or rarelyto a BSOD errors. I've discovered that opening the PC case or adding extra fans eliminates these crashes during stress tests, suggesting overheating as most likely culprit. However all temps are fine for GPU/CPU according to HWINFO. For reference: I added HWINFO log files of a 3dMark GPU stress test. One with a successful test (case open) and the other with a failed test (case closed) For now I elevated the PC case for improved airflow and added more fans and it solved the issue (for now) My questions are: Can high temperatures inside my PC even be responsible for these kind of app crashes (or BSODs?) If yes:How is this crashing my pc? Mystery of Stable Temperatures : Oddly, temperature readings appear normal even with a closed case. Is there something I'm overlooking? Identifying the Overheating Culprit: Which PC component is likely overheating and causing these issues? Are there PC/MB components not covered by temp sensors that could crash my PC? I'd appreciate your insights. FAILS_SpeedWay_StressTest_case_close.txt Sucessful_SpeedWay_StressTest_case_open.txt

Hello everyone, bit of a back story: I recently upgraded my GPU to a second-hand RTX 3090 and the first day with that card was great. But on the second day, I noticed my system was getting relatively slow so I used HW Info to find out that my CPU was running hot. The problem seemed to be an issue with my Lian Li AIO (see this blog post), so I requested a new AIO which I have yet to receive. In the meantime, I installed the stock cooler that came with my CPU. This configuration seemed fine for the evening, but when I tried playing some Doom Eternal tonight my system suddenly shut down. I'm not sure what really happened, but my monitors went black, even though the little lamp in the power-up switch on my case remained lit. After about 2 minutes the system restarted and I tried playing Doom again, this time keeping HW Info on my second monitor since I felt like my case was getting a bit toasty. I also put a fan in front of my case and removed the front panel to help with ventilation. But after just a few minutes of gameplay, my monitors turned off and then back on again, this time with some weird artefacts (see attached picture). After one minute my monitors turned black again and the system began to reboot. I quickly checked HW Info before that and everything seemed "fine"; temperates were in the 60°C range. So I installed Furmark and ran a GPU stress test and at 56°C my system turned off. (not sure if that helps, but I got about 200 FPS in 1440p preset) I'm not quite sure what I should do here. The seller seemed trustworthy and I picked the GPU up at their place. Some additional information about my setup: - my current cooling situation is bad; I'm using the Lian Li O11 Mini case with just three fans at the top as exhaust fans. My AIO was mounted on the side of the case, also as exhaust. I'm aware that this is bad and I already ordered new fans that I want to add as intake at the bottom. Furthermore are the fans I currently use Noctua fans which according to their site are meant to be used with radiators. - on the day I noticed the malfunctioning AIO, I'm pretty sure I caused some thermal damage since the system was already running quite slow (probably due to overheating) and I accidentally ran a Windows update. (the update did seem to finish without a problem though) - my case blocks the HDMI port of the GPU, so I mounted it at a slight angle at the beginning. I have since fixed this and ordered a bolster for additional support, but that won't arrive until the end of the month. There seems to be no damage to the PCI-E slot System Specs: Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk (BIOS Version: E7C91AMS.A50, Build Date: 2021-01-15; I should probably update this? But Bios updates scare me ) CPU: AMD 5 5600X (I ran this auto-overclocked using the Ryzen Master app until the AIO died) GPU: RTX 3090 iChill by Inno3D (Driver version: 537.34, updated via Geforce Experience on the 12th of this month) PSU: Corsair SF750 (750 Watt) Storage: - 1 Samsung 980 Pro 1TB - 1 Samsung 870 Evo 2TB - 1 Crucial MX500 500GB RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V, 32GB DDR4-3600 (dual 16GB) OS: Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3448) 64Bit Software: I'm not 100% sure, but this should be all the software that ran during the crashes: Doom Eternal Crash: - Spotify - Docker Desktop - Wallpaper Engine - Discord - Steam - Epic Games - f.lux (https://justgetflux.com/) - Microsoft Powertoys - Ear Trumpet - Logitech G Hub - MSI Dragon Center Furmark: - Furmark - Ear Trumpet (forgot to stop this one) Hope I didn't ramble too much, but I think the path my system took in the last few days might be important here. Thanks for any help/tips. TL;DR: System crashes when GPU reaches ~60°C, sometimes with pink artefacts.

Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong thread. I have a headache, yea I have excuses. Anyway, I noticed my hotspot (GPU #2) on my current GPU is incredibly hot on load 90-93c. Temp #1, (main package) stays sub 80 on load. My GPU has copper coiling like a pipe. Could my 'hotspot 2' just be pinging the pipe temperature? I just want to know because I'm not a fan of pipes that stick out and don't want to buy a new GPU with the chance of getting coil whine as well. Thankx

Hello guys, Yesterday, I noticed that my GPU started hitting 60°C (140°F) while idling First, I thought it was a problem with the dust (the last time I cleaned my PC was like 2-3 months ago). So I cleaned it and it keeps hitting 60°C for no reason while idling It used to happen sometimes when I got this PC, but I noticed it started to happen very often since I got back from vacations When on my desktop, my GPU goes from 40-45°C to 60°C, then my fans turn on, the gpu cools down to 40°C again, then my fans turn off, and my gpu warms up to 60°C, then my fans turn on.. etc.. etc.. It this normal for a 3060Ti? (When playing it never gets above 70°C (158°F) longer than 5 seconds) Thank you for your time and have a nice day!

So I just built a new pc and I'm getting idle temps on my cpu of around 50-60°c which doesn't seem right to me? I've update my BIOS and the drivers for the cpu. I'm pretty sure my AIO is working as I can see the fan speed. Specs are as follow CPU: Ryzen 7 7800x3d GPU: RTX 4070Ti Mob: Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX AIO: Corsair H150i Elite Caplilax

For awhile now I've had what seems like some unusually high temps on this 3080 (MSI RTX 3080 VENTUS 3X). At first, I assumed it was restrictive airflow in my case (it was one of MSI's prebuilt console-style PCs). Just recently built a new one, and carried over the 3080 but am still having unusually high temps for the loads it's under. Main parts of system: Corsair 4000D case (default fan setup so far, one intake one exhaust) Ryzen 7700x (DeepCool AK620) MSI RTX 3080 VENTUS 3X Temps: GPU stock fan curve GPU undervolted to 0.85V and max boost of 1815MHz Ambient temp is around 23C GPU at idle (fans at 0%) is around 50C GPU load at 50-70% gets to around 70-80C (fans at 60%) Any more load and fans rocket up to 100% (unbearably loud) and temps hit 85C and i assume starts throttling I know getting some extra case fans to pull in more fresh air would help (I already have a 5-pack of Arctic P12 on the way), but I'm not sure if they'd really help enough. It feels like I'm having to turn settings down in so many games just to prevent GPU load from hitting 80-100% and dealing with the obnoxious noise. It's definitely outside of warranty period at this point, in-case starting an RMA was even an option over this. But I'm willing to try anything at this point (don't really want to drop $1000+ to get another GPU )

gigabyte rtx 3060 ti gaming oc (LHR) temperatures too high
DeeFAULT posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Recently bought a used gigabyte rtx 3060 ti gaming oc rev 1.0, since today noticed that the fans running too loud, so i checked the temps and the fans speed while on full load: gpu temp maxed at 78C fans maxed at 2860rpm / 90% idle: temp maxed at 50C fans at 1100rpm sometimes 0 my case has 3 intakes and one exhaust given that the room temp is a little high at 30C is my temps are too high? did i somehow messed up the fan curve? what should i do? -
Im having a problem with my cpu, as you can see i have a R9 5950x and the temps are insane, I can be watching YouTube and slightly move my mouse on accident and my temp would jump from 50 to low 70s in a matter of seconds, if im doing absolutely nothing it does stay at 45 and under, Im running a 280 rad by NZXT and wondering if I should upgrade to a 360, another thing to mention is when im playing The Last of Us on MAX settings, you would think it would turn itself off from the high temps but naa it stay about high 70, its annoying when my pc goes from silent to full jet engine. Any advice?

Here is my system, so you guys can understand what I am working with: Lian Li 011 Dynamic EVO Lian Li Galahad 360 AIO w/ v2 uni 120mm fan upgrade 7x Lian Li Uni v2 Case Fans MSI z790 Carbon WiFi Motherboard Intel i9-13900k 2x 32GB G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 6400 MT/S CL32 (XMP) MSI MPG 1000watt PSU So initially, I loaded my bios with "Water Cooling/AIO" PC Cooler Tuning preferences and left everything else stock, and ran Cinebench R23 and got ridiculous results. - Around 350 watts pulled from PSU, i9 was running at around 1.4v and 4 of my 8 P-Cores were hitting 100C. So, I instantly changed PC Cooler Tuning Preferences in MSI Bios to "Tower Air Cooling" (which limits power to 288 watts). - Results were better, but still had 2 cores consistently hitting 100C in Cinebench (Note, I'm also only getting 2 P-Cores to 5.6ghz, while 6 cores are at 5.4Ghz) So, at this point I began tinkering with a negative offset. I changed the offset mode (Adaptive+Offset) and went with (-) option, and worked my way all the way down to -0.09v - Results were mixed at this point. (Note we are still on "Tower Air Cooling" at this point, power draw is no more than ~276 watts) - We were getting 5.48GHZ across all 8 P-Cores, temps across all 8 P-Cores 90-95 degrees (still too hot for my liking). It was at this point, I decided to try SOMETHING else. So I removed the offset mode and put all of that back to AUTO but left my Tower Air Cooling mode on. - Changed my "Lite Load" mode 9 setting down to Lite Load mode 4. (THIS YIELDS BEST RESULT SO FAR! 40K Cinebench R23 Score) - This yielded max temps of around 92 degrees across all 8 P-Cores, but the highest clock speed achieved was 5.4 GHZ on all P-Cores lame) - Power Draw was maxing out at 270 watts. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? THIS HARDLY SEEMS OPTIMAL OR OPTIMIZED? - I seen people get 5.6-5.8GHZ across all 8-P cores, with less cooling than me. Not only that, but their temps were all in the 80s. So it would seem (IMHO) that I am HARDLY optimized with leaving my settings where they are (Lite Load Mode 4, Tower Air Cooler). The only good thing, is that I am stable in both 3D Mark Time Spy Extreme (tests cpu+gpu), Prime 95, and Cinebench 95) and I am no longer hitting 100 under any condition. However, I definitely WANT TO get this down lower on the temp scale and see (at least) 5.5ghz across all 8-cores with 2 of them at least touching the 5.6-5.7 mark.

My Intel i9 11900F has been hitting pretty high temps in the past month, I have cleaned the cooler (noctua nh-u9s) and reapplied the thermal paste, the temps improved slightly. I get like 38~ degrees idle and 70 degrees when gaming. any suggestions on how to improve the temps? I set my fan to maximum speed so i wouldnt damage my CPU of high temps. * I undervolted my CPU by a tiny bit and it also helped.
-
Hey guys! My CPU temps have always been pretty high which is something I've only recently discovered to be a problem. Under load my CPU reaches 95 C and thermal throttles. I've reapplied thermal paste, fiddled with my power plan adjusted for ryzen CPUs and normal balanced and my CPU still reaches 95 C during load. I suspect it's due to my case and my fans. My front fan is intake at 140mm, radiator fan (exhaust) is 120mm and I've got a rear exhaust at 120mm. My case is the pretty old N500. My GPU is undervolted and the temps are fine. I would hope that I don't have to change the case and that buying and mounting x3 120mm Arctic P12 Silents (result would be (x2) 120mm Intake front, (x1) 120mm back exhaust, (x1) 140 radiator exhaust). Pretty sure my Motherboard doesn't control more than 1-2 fans so I would have to buy a splitter. PC is clean from dust and the Windows is relatively freshly reinstalled. OS: Windows 10 Pro PC Case: N500 KKN2 CPU: Ryzen 7 3800XT (Not overclocked) CPU Cooler: AeroCool Core plus (There are definitely better, but shouldn't get to 95 C under load?) GPU: MSI RTX 3070 Ventus 2X OC Motherboard (Version): Prime B350M-K (5602) RAM: DDR4 2x8 Corsair (2666)
