So i built my gaming pc about 6 months ago and i have been using linux to game. Everything has been pretty good but linux has been having problems for me because there isn’t a lot of games that work great on linux and I can’t just have that on a daily basis where I just want to sit down and just game. So i went ahead and installed windows 11 on my pc. The installation went good (though i had to use a lan cord for wifi because the wifi drivers were not installed). At first I was freaking out because my resolution was super low, I still couldn’t access wireless Wi-Fi, and I had no sound and a couple other problems. Then I remembered I needed to install the drivers so I went ahead on AMD‘s website and installed the necessary drivers for my GPU and then I can finally change my resolution and I finally had sound. I then installed the motherboard drivers (gigabyte) which gave me wireless Wi-Fi as well as installing other drivers and it updated my bios as well. I was really nervous at first when I had all those problems but finally I solved it and now I am ready to game. I went ahead and installed steam, GOG galaxy, epic games launcher, and ubisoft connect and i also installed Alan Wake 2 (on epic games launcher), Assassin’s Creed Mirage (on ubisoft connect), and Black Ops 3 (on steam). I first wanted to play Black Ops 3 so I booted it up and I immediately went to the graphics settings to set those graphics all the way up but I saw that the resolution was actually higher than my display resolution which was weird so I went ahead and lowered it to my display resolution (which is 4k) and then immediately Black Ops 3 had a black screen with the sound just playing. I then went to Steam and press the stop button to quit Black Ops 3 but that didn’t work so I had to close down steam itself and eventually Black Ops 3 closed. I thought that was very weird and I tried opening up Black Ops 3 again and it wouldn’t even open up at all and I think it also gave me a error (i don’t remember). So I then tried Alan Wake 2 and that booted up but it then froze right when it went to fullscreen and I can only see the developer logo. I then had to reset my pc to close the game. I then tried out Assassin Creed Mirage and the exact same problem happened where when starting it up it would freeze right on the policy text. I didn’t know what to do and I was really pissed so I did a complete reinstall of Windows 11 thinking maybe because I updated my bios and it just needed a complete reinstall. So I did just that and did all of the steps that I did which was set up windows 11 and install the GPU and motherboard drivers. I then went ahead and just installed Steam and try out Half-life. Half-life was working completely fine though when pressing escape to pause the game it was a little bit of a delay. Then I had hope but when trying out Tomb Raider 2013 it opened up fine but I saw that my FPS was low so I went ahead and go to the graphic settings and my refresh rate was at 24 so once I bring it up to 60 the game went to a black screen and then it froze on the settings. I tried backing out and closing the game but some reason closing the game in Steam doesn’t work and I had to quit steam again. I tried it again and it gave me an error but after resetting my PC and trying it again I went to Tomb Raider and my refresh rate was still low so I had to go to the settings and bring it up and it did the exact same thing as earlier. Other problems I have is some apps won’t open like my AMD driver app which won’t open at all but I see that it’s open in the background because on the bottom right when I press the arrow it tells you which apps are open or not and it is open but I don’t see it. Sometimes my motherboard driver app doesn’t open but sometimes it does. Anyway I really am pissed off because I thought I wouldn’t have any problems when switching to windows to play my games but instead I’m having more problems than ever and man I just want to go ahead and sit down and play my games. Sorry this post is pretty long but i want to give all the details and i probably forgot some stuff but these are the issues that I am having on the top of my head. Now I’m pretty tech savvy but I can’t put my finger on why I’m having all of these problems. Please someone help me. Hello everyone I made a post a few months ago about my PC freezing randomly, the freezes stopped for a month but are back. This past few days the freezes appeared again, but now there is no event there is no spike in usage of any hardware, the temps are all fine, I've tried reinstalling Windows, resetting the bios to default, scanned everything I could find, and nothing. I can notice it the most while I play games and don't know if it does it any other time since I only use this PC for that. I play at 140+fps, then a random freeze for about 1/2 second, then back to 140+fps. I don't know what else to do. This is the DxDiag file: Edit: If anything else is needed just request and if I can provide it I will DxDiag.txt DxDiag.txt

Hello ladies and gents, I am FINALLY this year building my new desktop. I've been waiting a long, long time for this so I'm pretty excited. Was wondering if there's any issue with using 2 x (2x32GB) memory kits from corsair to max out my RAM. I know I probably don't need 128GB, but that's besides the point. This is going to be my only and last chance to build what I want for probably a very very long time, so practicalities is sort of secondary to wants this time around. Anyway, here's my list of parts. I'm open to any friendly advice about any of them, but in particular I want to know about the memory question. Will 2 x 64GB kits (So 4 x 32GB modules) function as a whole 128GB kit? Is there any disadvantage to doing it this way? Looking for honest and friendly advice. Thanks in advance! Ok so, First problem The first problem is that certain applications like Fortnite and Discord crash without warning and don't leave an error message. Fortnite seems to crash less often when I change the rendering mode from directx11 to performance, but it still happens. When this problem starting getting bad is when I first brought it to Canada Computers. They found no issues with the hardware or anything (this was when problem 2 started after they stress tested the GPU). A few weeks to a month later, we did a factory reset on the computer because there were supposedly some corrupted files. This made the crashes far less frequent, but they still happen all the time. Second problem This is the far more annoying and confusing problem, and again, I have no idea why it's happening. It began after the people at Canada Computers did a stress test on the GPU with an application I don't have the name of. The problem is that on any game, from Elden ring to Geometry dash, no matter how resource intensive it is, it begins to lag the computer in a very weird way. Keyboard inputs are delayed by anywhere from 2 to 30 seconds, however, mouse inputs are not delayed at all. It happens whenever I have any game in focus with any media playing in the background, be it a Youtube video, Spotify, etc. and sometimes it freezes said media from playing. This is not a problem with the keyboard, as I have tested it with several keyboards and the problem persists. I also tested it at my dad's house, and the problem persists. However, for whatever reason, I couldn't reproduce it when i took it to Canada Computers, so they couldn't diagnose the problem if they tried. We also formatted the hard drive (i think that's what they said it was), and the problem persisted. The computer is a little over a year old, any help is appreciated Thanks for your time

Hey LTT community, I've been encountering an issue with Steam that I hope some of you can help me with. Initially, I installed Steam on my D drive, but it wouldn't launch—it only appeared in the Task Manager. I tried reinstalling it on the C drive, and it started working. However, when I download games and install them on the D drive, I face disk errors during the verification process. I've checked for sufficient space on the D drive, made sure permissions are in order, and considered antivirus and firewall settings, but the problem persists.(Tried alot of basic methods but none works) If any of you have experienced a similar situation or have insights on how to successfully run Steam on the D drive without encountering disk errors, and especially if you've encountered the Task Manager issue, I would greatly appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance for your help! Nouman Ahmad

So about a month ago my pc started crashing now and then when under load and was under performing. I opened it up and re built it from scratch, key point being that I had to replace the thermal paste because it looked like it was not cooling properly and was significantly darker than new paste. This fixed the crashing for a few days then it started crashing every time I launched a game that was taxing. I replaced the thermal paste with new thermal paste that wasn't opened before and this worked again for about a day and now my pc is crashing again. A few other problems are that I have had issues connecting my controller to my pc via bluetooth while it says unknown device every time. I also wiped all the files off the pc and re installed windows recently because I would consistently find corrupted files when scanning my pc. This didn't solve anything.

Edit: I got it working. I realized that my boot drive was on a sata ssd that the cable wasn't working. So my m.2 is working and fixed. Thanks for the help homies. I need help with my pc not booting into os. I recently moved houses and I plugged in and my booted my pc and it loaded at first. I had 2 case fans out so I changed them before I completed my setup. Afterwards it wouldn't lose os through my m.2 boot drive. Idk why it won't load. It reads m.2 as boot drive but doesn't read it as anything else.

I just built a pc with a 13600kf and a z790 edge wifi with a EVGA 1070, but I can't access the bios. Sometimes it will boot into windows, but as soon as I try to boot into the BIOS it won't display anything and become unresponsive, it won't even boot into Windows after an attempt to get into the BIOS. I feel like I've tried troubleshooting everything, even after a BIOS flash it's still unresponsive with no debug LEDs on. Please help

Considering a budget-friendly PC build with a Ryzen 5 3600, RX 5600XT, A320M motherboard, and 16GB DDR4 RAM, the chosen PSU is a Super Flower SF-500P12A. While Super Flower is a reputable brand, this specific model is older and lacks an efficiency rating. Reported efficiencies are 84.43%, 84.95%, and 81.30% at 100%, 50%, and 20% loads, respectively. Questions: Go for it due to the reliable brand and non-power-hungry components? Avoid it because of its age and lack of a standard efficiency rating like 80+, 80+ Bronze?

Hello, everyone. I have a very severe and complicated problem to solve regarding my PC system. Here are the specs: Intel i9 13900k Asus Strix 4090 OC G.Skill DDR5 32GB 7600MHz RAM Samsung SSD 980 Pro (main and only storage) 1200 watts Asus Thor 2 PSU Asus Maximus Hero Z790 motherboard Asus Helios case Ever since I built this computer in November of last year (2022), I've been experiencing various issues. These include BSOD, random crashes, update errors for Windows, drivers, and Nvidia graphics. The XMP for 7600MHz RAM won't even boot Windows. I ran a test with Memtest86 for the RAM, and it failed miserably. I contacted G.Skill and replaced the RAM sticks with brand new ones. While my issues became less frequent, they persisted - BSOD once a week, app crashes every 6 or 7 hours, and so on. At first, I thought it might be due to all my hardware being very new, requiring more updates from the manufacturers to address their faulty hardware. I was already frustrated with the system, dealing with these problems and waiting for BIOS updates. However, the system improved but remained faulty. XMP would cause a BSOD, Google Chrome crashed every 15 minutes, and I encountered numerous errors with updates. I attempted to restore my system from factory settings multiple times, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. Even after deactivating XMP and IA overclocking, the issues persisted. I returned to factory settings, yet the system still remained faulty. When I tried to perform a factory reset, the PC would encounter a BSOD in the midst of restoration. More issues arose from these crashes and my unsuccessful attempts to restore the PC with a fresh Windows installation. The system wouldn't even boot into Windows anymore. Fed up with all these issues, I decided to get a new SSD, the 990 Pro, to rule out the possibility of a faulty SSD. Unfortunately, the same errors persisted. The system would boot into Windows, but Cinebench wouldn't run, updates failed to load, and apps kept crashing. Essentially, I'm back to the beginning. HELP!

Please help. Fresh build. The issue was present as soon as I first installed windows 10. This is the same setup I was using with my previous rig (which worked perfectly), I literally unplugged the displayport cable from one and plugged it in to the other. Now, I've updated the bios, all display drivers, the monitor driver, switched out the displayport cable, disabled and reenabled gsync compatibility, disabled all startup programs, tried the other display ports on the GPU. I have not tried a different monitor because this one works fine with all other devices, and I don't have another monitor that supports displayport to try. Now, I just did a fresh install of Windows to try to fix the issue, hoping it could be windows related. However, it persisted and even happened during the windows setup process, which i was finally able to capture on video. Usually it happened in flashes of no more than a second or two, but these ones during the install were up for about 10 seconds. I am running out of things to try, and am pretty well getting nowhere with the diagnostic and troubleshooting. I have just about two weeks remaining to return or exchange the GPU if that is the issue, which is what I suspect it is. Is there any way I can test to specifically find out? Any other things I can try to fix the issue? What could even be causing it, everything is brand new except the PSU, but again, it was taken right from my previous rig. Hello, This has been a persistent issue for months. But whenever I launch or restart my PC I get an error for for "Load vender.dll Fail, Please install VGA driver." I have reinstalled and updated my Nvidia drivers countless times. And done fresh wipes and such. This issue appears to cause my desktop to load oddly (my second monitor displays nothing, and my main monitor temporarily defaults to the lowest resolution), after about 10-30 seconds this stops and it appears to work correctly. I have a ASUS DUAL-RTX2070-O8G-EVO2 and an running the latest drivers (last install was a full wipe of drivers. (Also running on latest stable version of Windows 11 KB5030219) I appreciate any help y'all can give me.

Hi guys I'm here looking for help to solve an issue that's been plaguing my pc for months. As per title while I'm gaming sometimes my pc freezes and becomes unresponsive (but usually the audio keeps playing) and after a couple of seconds it crashes and reboots (no BSOD). When this problem manifests every time I try to game the pc crashes the same way. I've tried rebooting, using DISM, using sfc, DDU etc., none of this stuff fixes the problem except for one thing that "fixes it" but only temporarily which is fully unplugging the gpu from the system and hold down the power button to drain the caps. When I reconnect the gpu after I apply this procedure the crashing disappears but in about a week (or even less) the problem returns. The crash seems to be related to gpu activity or assets loading since the crash usually happens while my on screen character moves around or interacts with something or I click on a menu item (all events that causes new assets to appear on screen). I've checked the event viewer but the only slightly suspicious entry that I can find are those two ACPI thermal zone \_TZ.PCT0 has been enumerated ACPI thermal zone \_TZ.PCT1 has been enumerated wich are the last two entries before the one marked "critical" related to kernel power created at the moment of the crash (or I assume so), but the temps seems fine and a thermal issue wouldn't be fixed by my temporary solution nor any kind of software problem. Does any of this makes sense to you guys? Here's my full specs: CPU: i9-9900K GPU: AMD RX 6800 XT (mounted on a riser but it has been on it for well over a year before this problem started) MOBO: Asus ROG Strix z370-e Gaming (BIOS updated to the latest avaliable) PSU: Corsair RM850x (the new one) RAM: 32 GB TEAMGROUP T-force Dark (been experiencing the same problem with another kit too) SSD 1: Samsung 970 evo 500 GB (O.S. and programs only) SSD 2: TEAMGROUP T-force Cardea Zero Z440 2 TB (all the games are on this drive) O.S.: Windows 11 Pro

PC was fine yesterday, but now does not have output. The fans spin, but neither HDMI or DP work. Specs: R5 3600 24gb ram 500gb ssd Rtx 3060 I've also tried a different GPU 1650S, but it also does not work. It spins, but no output. The cable and monitor are fine. I plugged the cable and monitor into my laptop and that worked fine. I haven't tried reseating RAM yet. That's next. Does anyone have anything else I can try? Solved: reseating RAM a seems to fix it. I removed all but stick 1. Then I put all back and it didn't work. I then only did 1 and 3. It worked. I did all 1 2 3 and 4 and that did not work. I did 1 2 3 and that worked. And then I tried all 1 2 3 4 and now it all seems to work. I don't know what caused the issue, maybe there was an update or something last night. Thanks for all of the suggestions!!

Hello! In January I wanted to upgrade my 1660ti because I wanted to play in 1440p, so I bought a ASRock Challenger Pro Radeon RX 6750 XT. My PC specs are 32gbs 3200 MHz DDR4, a Ryzen 7 5700x, and a 550 watt psu. I have 3 monitors, 2 1080p 144 hz monitors, and a 1440p 144hz monitor. Now, to the problems. Ever since I got the damn GPU its just been problems, I play games such as Battlfield V & 1, Red Dead 2, Fortnite, BeamNG, Fallout 4 & NV, AOE, and GMod. What happens is I'll get in the games and be playing for a bit and then, BAM! freeze. It'll freeze for a few seconds and then it recovers, runs for a bit and does the same thing, but sometimes it will just crash. I didn't have these problems with my 1660ti, so I figured it was a driver problem. So, every single driver update I will use DDU and then freshly install them... it doesn't fix it. So my next though was it's a temp problem... it's not. So this is my last resort, if I can't fix these problems I will probably lose my mind. Any reccomendations?

I bought a second hand gaming PC earlier in the month to start getting into PC Gaming. The PC came equipped with a standard RTX 2070 8GB and also an i7 9700 overclocked to 4.5ghz. I noticed within a couple days that games such as Spider-man Remastered, GTA V and Payday 2 would only boot up for a few seconds before crashing and giving me the attached error message. I managed to look online and found that by opening the Nvidia control panel and selecting the "Debug Mode" this would potentially rectify my issue, it has; but only when Debug Mode is enabled. I also have noticed in the last few days that I am getting frequent stuttering on every game I'm playing regardless of if it's running at Ultra or Low settings and regardless if I'm getting 60fps or 144+ fps. Is my GPU the issue and is there any way I can fix this without buying a new GPU entirely? Cheers!
