So I bought this Xbox one s just a few days ago. The seller didn't know if it was working or not, because he didn't have a power cable, and I decided to buy it because even if it didn't work I would post a YouTube video about my experience, but that's beside the point. I'm using a power cable that I use on another device, but it so happened to fit with the Xbox, and when I turn on the Xbox with everything plugged in this is what occurs. Watch video for more clarity. This is an issue other people are facing, but their situations don't really match mine. The thing is that I hear a click which I kind of think it could be a hard drive problem? Could it be a problem with the power cord I'm using. I've bought a power cable that works with Xbox One S on amazon just incase there could be a problem with the power cable I'm using maybe not enough power is getting to the Xbox? Please let me know what you guys think could be the problem. Thank you! IMG-8810.MOV

Specs: R9 3900x, 4.2ghz EVGA RTX 3080, 2ghz 16gb, 3200mhz RAM 500gb Samsung Evo 970 2560x1080 monitor my game results dont match up with the benchmark results at all, I have indoor areas averaging around 60+ fps, dense city areas averaging between 30-40 fps. When I changed the settings to the low preset, the fps remains almost the same, with a small gain of around 3-5 fps. My CPU and GPU usages doesnt seem off. Someone please help me When in the area from Linus's video, at around 26:29, I get around 30-40 fps with RT Ultra, 45 fps with all low settings, I dont think I should be getting this low with this kind of specs right? CPU and GPU usage GPU drivers on the Dec 9th release

So I have never updated the bios so it has the really old version it shipped with. The problem is there is no option to do it in my bios. Under tools it just shows driver update, and that doesn't work anyway, so I went and got 3.4 and 5.2 from the website(with the manual on my lap so it is the right bios for the right board). I put it on a fat32 formated usb drive and booted into the bios, but there is no UEFI update utility in my tools tab. I have reset the bios to the default but don't know what else to try. The option I saw them click in the youtube guide just isn't there in mine. Very strange. I think that is all the information. Can anyone help? More info: This is the page i downloaded from: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350%20Pro4/index.asp#BIOS Picture of my manual and bios screen: https://imgur.com/a/EB3FFRW

Hey Linus Community, My request for help In the past couple of days I have gotten myself a brand new Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU. At the first boot I didn't get anything to display, until I remembered that I read somewhere that AMD Ryzen required a dedicated GPU. So I decided to mount the motherboard into my case as well as the GPU (MSI GeFore GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Trio). The second time the system did boot into the Windows I had already pre-installed on the M.2 SSD (Kingston A2000). Due to multi-boot questions I got on the boot, I decided to perform a clean install of Windows. So I prepared a stick, plugged it in and initiated the Windows 10 installation. The setup was still transfering files and data so I decided to get back to work. About ~15 minutes later I decided to check on the installation and I noticed the system was shut down. After attempting to boot the system, I didn't see any display output or anything. After checking the motherboard I noticed there was a CPU_LED burning contantly. No additional LED switches were made during the boot. A picture I took during the succesful boot, does not show any status LED's burning, so it was succesful at one point. Relevant software and hardware Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU cooler: Stock (AMD Wraith Prism) GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Trio PSU: Focus Plus 650 Gold Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury HX421C14FBK2/16 (Yes it is odd, but I tried to spread the costs of the system upgrade, the motherboard and CPU should be compatible with it) SSD: 1TB M.2 Kingston A2000 What I have tried thus far 1. Reconnecting the power supply (have you tried turning it off and on again?) 2. Relocated the memory sticks 2.1 Slot 1 2.2 Slot 2 2.3 Slot 1 and 3 2.4 Slot 2 and 4 3. Reconnected all power supplies to the motherboard 4. CPU-cable attached to CPU_OPT instead of CPU_FAN I'm running out of ideas and I have no idea what to do, or what the problem could be. I'm really hoping some of you have a brilliant idea. Kind Regards, Lars

This happened yesterday when I was replacing the cpu fan. A screw connecting the heat sink and the motherboard was stripped so I had to remove the entire motherboard, so here I am :( Saw someone in r/alienware was having similar situation, but the difference here is that I ripped the part on the motherboard, not the connector on the LCD cable. Does it mean I need a new motherboard? Just want to know before sending it over to dell.

When running Skyrim through Mod Organizer's SKSE selection from the dropdown menu (installed like Gopher did), windowed mode works fine, but when I run in windowless mode, I get an endless black screen. I have no idea what might cause this. Vanilla Skyrim runs in both windowed and windowless. Neither of my mod profiles run in Windowless (no matter the resolution), but they do run in windowed. Thank you for any and all help/comments.

DISCLAIMER: I work frontline support for an enterprise security appliance/software company. This inquiry is completely independent of my employment, as I think maybe 0.2% of the forum members may have heard of my particular department. Over the years of dealing with tech, I've dealt with a lot of companies' support departments for RMAs, technical questions, missing parts, etc. Some companies are great, even at the lowest level of support. Other companies' support departments are seemingly collectively dumber than a box of wet navel lint. In the past decade, I've had crap experiences with Asrock, ASUS, Gigabyte, Western Digital and Dell, with their initial product support. On the flipside, I've had awesome experiences with EVGA, Phanteks, Corsair, and HPE. What companies do you think have product/technical support divisions that are knowledgeable and empowered to make things happen, even at the frontline level of support? Conversely, what companies do you have horror stories with?

I was reading an article, all of a sudden my pc shuts down immediately, like it turns into a black screen right away. It turned itself back on for about 5 seconds before powering off again. I pressed the power button again and this time nothing happens. I opened the case, took the battery out and then unplugged the power cord. I waited about 5 mins, placed battery back in again, plugged back in the power cord. I pressed the power button once again. This time my CPU lightly spinned for about a second maybe even less. The wire connected to the power button created a lightning spark. But nothing happens, the computer still won’t power on. I also tried removing 1 ram while leaving the other one in. Nothing happens except th CPU did a light spin. Please help. Thank you

So here's my current issue. I recently bought some new headphones a few months ago. (HyperX Revolver S) and I use them to mostly play games. Listening to music and its currently plugged into my Yamaha MG10xu Interface. So after a month and a half of using these headphones with no issues. The headphones is now starting to make static noises every now and again. Starting as small crackles from my headset.. then the noise of the static gets more louder before the entire audio is cut off. No music. No audio coming from my desktop. but my Mixer is still working since I can hear myself fine as normal. I have to re-plug my headset into the mixer to get the audio to work again. Sometimes I only have to refresh the music and it works again for the next few hours.. then it starts all over again.

Hi, i'm looking for help here in the forum because nothing seems to work. Let's take out of the way my specs: i7 3770k @4.2Ghz paired with a Thermaltake Frio OCK Asus P8Z68V Pro Gen3 Nvidea GTX 1060 3Gb Asus Phoenix 16Gb RAM DDR3 @1333Mhz 500W Powersuply 1 500Gb HHD and other 2Tb HHD. Well, i have been playing mostly Apex Legends for the past months until it just started running really badly. i usually got around 60 to 100 fps all in low @1080p, when suddenly, one day, it just stopped being that way. i started to get just 30fps or even lower with no parent reason to why. Bothered by this i opened MSI Afterburner to check if my components were overheating and, by consequence, throttling: my CPU was around 50°C to 60°C and my GPU reached 70°, nothing wrong here. But i noticed that my GPU and CPU usage wasn't going up more than 40% to 50% even if i capped the game to 60fps or used V-Sync. i already tried everything i know, deactivated firewall, widows defender and all overlays, reinstalled the game, pulled out the GPU from the PCIe socket. Nothing. Restarted PC. Nothing. I even DDU'd GPU drivers and reinstalled not only the newest ones but older ones too. NOTHING. i'm in a lost of options and don't know what to do, please help me. Ah, just FYI, i'm not a native English speaker so i can mess up my writing a lot, thanks for understanding. [I CAN'T UPLOAD AN IMAGE, SO I'LL JUST WRITE DOWN MY MSI AFTERBURNER DATA HERE] GPU: 59°C, 36% MEM: 2603 MB CPU: 63°C, 43% RAM: 7462 MB D3D11: 30 FPS

Hi all, Pretty sure this is my first time posting on LTT so first, nice to meet you all! Now that the formalities are out of the way, let's get down to business. For the last what feels like forever, I've been trying to get Hyper-V working for me again. There was a point months ago where I had it installed on my computer but due to disk space issues, I decided to remove the feature and its VMs and drives. Upon purchasing a larger SSD and installing it in my system, I reinstalled Hyper-V. Since then, however, I've been unable to create any virtual switches. Even attempting to open the Virtual Switch Manager results in the following error: I've run sfc/ scannnow and tried restoring the image health with DISM and neither have found any errors in my OS image that would cause this. My computer is an Asus GL752VW. i7-6700HQ, 16GB DDR4 RAM, running Windows 10 Pro Ver. 1803 Build 17134.285. Any chance anyone else has had this issue and might be able to guide me through resolving this? Thanks!

I would like to start this forum with The Ghost Display topic, as quick as possible. Simply, when i go to display settings, it shows 2 displays instead of one ( my primary and only monitor). it shows 2 monitors with different specs, and when i take a screenshot it shows my display and a black display next to it which resembles the Ghost Display. i want to remove the ghost display because the programs are going off screen, right clicking while gaming reacts as if im right clicking at the other monitor so it opens up random programs. Another problem which im having (Not the Ghost Display) is the new AMD Adrenalin 2020 driver. This driver is making up so much problems i never expected like freezes, black screens, deadlocks, freezing at shutdown, harmed GPU performance (FPS dropped significantly at simple games like minecraft), and EVEN WINDOWS EXPLORER lags when selecting bunch of files. this is weird because the PC is somehow still new ( its been 3 years since i bought it) and doesnt have any type of hardware problems, viruses and malware, full hard drive space or anything. im doing everything right, but what i did to deserve this? Can someone just help me im done with this.

Hi everyone, Recently my computer would randomly freeze and just stop completely. There is no blue screen or crashing, it just freezes up and that's it. I hit the reset button and that does nothing. The only way to turn it off once this issue happens is to hold the power button. I have been reading online and most people are saying it's a possible issue with the memory. The computer from my experience tends to crash only when in a game. So far the issue has only been seen in Rust and Pubg. By playing those games my computer either freezes up or the game crashes depending on how long the game has been running for. In addition to this the desktop icons if moved to a new location then the computer is restarted the icons revert back to their previous locations before being moved. If anyone has had this issue before could you please tell me what is causing this as I don't have spare parts or the funds to purchase parts which i do not need. My parts are as followed: Mobo Gigabyte Z170-D3H CPU i5-6600k (not overclocked) Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 4GB GPU Gtx 970 (not overclocked) PSU Corsair CS 750M
