Ladyfingers and Frigidaires! I'm Timothy Green for TGif Gamer! This is the OFFICIAL blog of yours truly, hosted on this wonderful tech site from Canada! ... ...Okay, I confess. I'm one of those obnoxious Americans. Deal with it. I live in the United States, which - hang on. Isn't Canada also America? I mean, it resides in North America, but then there's also South Amer- ANYWAY! Before I begin to have an existential crisis, let's move on. Here's what I want to discuss. Gaming. D'uh! I mean, come on. TGif GAMER. It's kind of a no-brainer. All games I review are interest-based, and I don't typically review any M-rated games, so no CS:GO, DOOM, or Half-Life. I know, I'm boring. Hopefully, though, not too terribly much, because I also talk about all the geeky technical details of a particular game! ...If you're not zoned out yet, CONGRATS! YOU'VE GOT GEEK STATUS!!! Wow, GIFs work in this blog. Noice. So do emojis! Sooo, games. What kinds, then? Mainly Steam or Switch, since that's what I look at most, but also some older games. I may repost my reviews from Steam, link gamer videos I find interesting, or even share some thoughts about a niche game I like. Depends on my mood, really, so please no requests. Tech, technically. Because gamer equipment. I like unique tech too, like smart pens, so I might cover my take on that stuff, as well. Toys? Maybe. Depends. If it makes beeping sounds, probably. If it's nerdy trivia or something related to nerd stuff, again maybe. It either needs to be collectibles or man stuff to be well covered here, though I might share thoughs on some kids' products, too. Tools? Like what kind of tools? Didn't I just talk about this? Oh, you said TOOLS, not TOYS! ...Whatever, they're both the same thing. I know LTT Store has some tools, but what I cover are other brands (sorry, Linus). Usually multi-tool gadgets, or some other unpopular brand. Lately, I've been into some Kikkerland and SmartGear stuff, so expect quite a bit of that. What else? I probably won't cover other things here that I would talk about more on Discord or Steam Chat (like commercials, TV shows, books, movies, etc.), so I guess that's it. Anyway, I'm done typing. Bye!

Hello, I want to ask the opinion of you guys here about the legality of my current job. At first, when I applied for this job, the job description was only ‘Computer Operator Needed’, but after I got accepted, I immediately felt that this was not a proper job because: I had to log in to a Facebook account using a session cookie that I have no idea where it came from (and this method is eerily similar to how LTT YouTube channel got hacked recently) I had to spam share links using a special software repeat number 1 Screen capture of the work I do: https://youtu.be/OA4z2y5Xvek Personally, I think this job I had is morally wrong, but I'm not particularly sure about the legality of it. Please enlighten me about this. Thanks in advance

I need help with quite a specific issue... I have a steamdeck (love it) and a nextdock (kind of like it). My idea when buying the nextdock was to use it to play with my steamdeck and do some work on my phone. My issue is that when I plug my steamdeck into the Nextdock it won't charge fast enough so it will slowly discharge... Ideally I would connect 2 cables to my steamdeck with some type of splitter, one USB c for charge and one USB c for the nextdock. I've tried using a USB c Hub but it wouldn't pass video to the nextdock. Connecting a USB charger to the hub and a HDMI to the nextdock will give me image but won't allow me to use the keyboard and mouse... so it's kind of pointless... Anyway, if anyone knows a way to solve it :)or has any questions, let me know

High fidelity is ruining games. The last game I played that impressed with high fidelity was the original Crysis from 2007. After watching this video For a while now I've held the belief that the push graphics is destroying game. Video cards with heat sinks so heavy and bulky that it will tear itself apart unless braced properly, photo realistic looking games that only look 10% better than what they did 10 years ago, long load times limited physics, low frame rates. I am so sick of seeing these boring lifeless realistic games that I have been looking towards retro and indie games just to escape the homogenized mess. Here's a good video on the subject This was more of a rant, but years ago I used to look forward to the latest tech. Now I dread it. I'm going to go and play some Unreal Tournament. It's like Fortnight but good. I was inspired to make this post after watching Luke and Linus talk about DLSS and how the industry might be moving away from native res. If Nintendo can make games look good on a toaster than we really gotta stop with the excuses.

Not the first thing id really want to post on here but i want to warn people about the Cartridge reader that Save the Hero builders do. I bought the device and got it in the mail several days ago. I used a standard phone cable as I didn't pay for the magnet cable as i didn't think i would need it (Boy was I wrong apparently). Power it on and it worked, great! I was happy. So I turned it off and pulled the cable gently cause it was a little stiff going in and it just snaps clean off. Immediately I contact their customer service and as you can see in the image with a email. (I blurred my name.) In Response which was pretty damn quick so points to them they say that there is no warranty for this type of issue unless you buy the magnetic cable from them and they will repair it for a price which you can see is in another image. Including shipping leads to around £48 (or 59.83USD or 80.80CAD) not including Tax or import fees I'm assuming. I've a few issues here: 1st issue being that the power port was so weak that it took one gentle pull for it to be unusable, not to mention they already had another power port on the device they had before and didn't bother to remove it. it looks like it was barely soldered on properly. 2nd issue here is that as you can see in the email attached that there is a repair service option, also noticable is that in the email the pictures sent have busted usb ports as well. This is already a known issue and yet they have not taken steps to rectify this in future builds, like its almost going to be a recurring thing for customers to have to pay for the repair service one way or another. As you can also see in the image for pricing that is £48. 3rd issue is the warranty. They say that there is no warranty on the device UNLESS you buy the magnetic usb cable. The problem here is that on the option to buy the item there is no option to buy it. You have to go onto a separate page to buy it. They should have included it in the main page or just add an extra couple of £'s and included it anyway. Saving people from having to worry and SAVING their warranty. In conclusion, Please be careful when buying this product and learn from my mistakes. £190 for the items i bought including shipping £50 extra for import tax Money (not) well spent.

Guys, its my birthday soon and as a respectable gamer i thought i should finally get a second monitor, for some context i have a old workstation it has a intel e5 1650 v3 and a quadro m6000, these both work great but i don't know because of its age and its intended use if it even supports a monitor refresh rate like 120 hz. That's where i need help, i've done countless google searches but it still doesn't say exactly how many hz a 108p0 monitor will be allowed to run at if some kind soul could help me it would be much appreciated.

Hello, I have a few spare pc parts from older computers and I wanted to use them to create an entertainment pc for my living room to play party games on. I have two 1060's that are the same brand and model. Would I get any more performance out of my computer if I put both of them in or would it be best to just put one in? Thank you for your help

Hello, I've built a gaming pc pretty much. But the cpu and cpu coolers have not been installed yet. This is because when I ordered everything Amazon failed to deliver my cpu so it's coming at a later date. To pass time I decided to create the build without the cpu and see what happens. Everything looks good but it won't start up? Well when I turn the power supply on only the top right of the motherboard lights up in rgb. Is this because I've built something wrong or is it just the cpu missing. Basically my question is, can everything in a pc run without the cpu? Fans, etc. Here is the build. Is everything looking good or did I mess up somewhere? And the cpu is coming tomorrow so I'm only reassuring my self.

Linus tech team please take down the twomad collab video. After all that has been revealed about what awful person he is, he doesn't deserve the collab video to be up anymore or to be associated with linus.

I’ve been a Fitbit user for a couple of years, but I’m very tired of the insane amount of bugs on the watch itself. Since I’m an iPhone user I’m considering the Apple Watch 7. On Fitbit there’s a lot of features in the app that require that you pay a subscription fee, is there any features in the Apple Watch-/Health-app that requires a subscription fee?
