I have an ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 12GB that came with my prebuilt ASUS STRIX G10DK, and for the past 9 months or so the fan wouldn't spin. It would overheat constantly and often crash. I took it out a few months after the problems arose, and have been using my iGPU ever since, which as you might imagine, sucks for gaming. I tried changing the fan speed in Afterburner to always be 100, I tried updating drivers, and nothing worked, so I tore it out and used my iGPU. The farthest I have gotten was a few months after I had lost all hope, my friend told me to plug it back in and see if the new drivers would fix it, so I did, and they DID!....for 24 hours, and then the fan stopped working again. Every time I look this problem up, all I get are the same How-To Geek and Driver Easy articles that tell me nothing I don't already know. If you have a possible solution, throw it out to me. If you think I should send it to a tech guru, recommend one. I'm at a loss, and I'm sick of playing games at 35 fps. SOS

I'm not sure if I should post this here, but i saw other people post about things here and they have had help so here I am. Recently my pc has started randomly alt tabbing out of games, and i don't know why. Actually it's not the first time it's happened It's happened before and I reset my pc and it fixed it until about a week ago where it started again. I don't know how to resolve this issue and it's quite annoying as you'd imagine. I don't have much running in the background, mainly logitech hub, razer, steam, and nvidia. that's about it. i've downloaded absolutely nothing since the past few weeks and it's started about a week ago so not sure what could have caused it.| I was on windows 10 and I switched to windows 11 as I thought it may fix the issue, no it did not. Any help? Thanks

I have a Strix Z690-E gaming wifi mobo, i9-12900k cpu, 4080 super. My OS is on a Samsung 980 pro in slot 2. I just bought a Samsung 990 pro. If I move my OS drive to slot 1 will it steal lanes from my GPU? And if so, should I keep it in slot 2 and put the new M.2 in slot 3? I don't understand the whole stealing lanes thing.

Just got my Lenovo legion 5i pro today and noticed my 4070 won’t boost beyond 55 watts. This laptop is rated for 140 watts with dynamic boost but I’m pretty sure it should be able to boost more than 55 sustained. I’ve tried going through all of the performance modes and making sure my laptop is plugged in but it won’t go above 55 in game. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi, I'm just installing a new ssd into this SFF PC that has preapplied thermal pads for it, but they're making the SSD slightly bent. Is that an issue?

(Greetings from Belgium) Tech support: What the title says... I've recently had to expand my storage. I added in a 1TB WD Barracuda (Came from an old iMac, am using at my own risk. I know) and had an old 128 M.2 SATA SSD lying around. Since I have Zero budget left, I thought that maybe it'd be possible to use the SSD as a caching drive just like Intel Optane or AMD StoreMi, however StoreMi (Using an AMD system) didn't want to install and had not the most encouraging reviews. After some reserach I found an 'alternative' but that uses RAMdisks, not what I want. I barely have enough with 16GB. Right now I do not use the SSD and have simply set 120GB of page file on that SSD lmao So... what if I set the RAMdisk to that pagefile? Wouldn't that work? It's an SSD so it's still faster than the HDD. Why wouldn't it work? Before attempting this I have tried researching a bit, but the only results I found were "Pagefile in ramdisk", the opposite of what I was looking for. Is there anyone savy enough about this topic to help me out? I do not feel like finding out the hard way myself (Like I did with 2nd hand PSUs :))))) I did not want to use storage spaces, since it limits storage to 256GB (128GB from the SSD + 128 from the HDD) for some reason. I want the full 1TB to be used. Additional info: Windows 11, latest Ryzen 9 5950X non OC + NH-U12A 16GB PC4 3200MT/s GTX 780 3G Aorus B550 Elite v2 (rev1.2) -> CPU and MOBO appear compatible with storeMI, but does not work Thanks in advance. rode PS: Might be a stupid question and the answer might've been there all along, but let this be the answer to those lost with the same question as I have.

Basically, I bought a UPS, I plugged it into my TrueNAS CORE Server, was able to at least find the right USB Port, and drive, but it's either not staying connected, or I have done something wrong, but I am getting this error message in the console and I have NO idea how to fix it. I tried asking in the TrueNAS Forums, but no one answered so I thought I'd try asking the lovely people here about it. Linux is not my main OS, but I do enjoy using TrueNAS and wanted to take care of it by plugging in a battery backup and configuring it correctly. The battery backup is a Cyber Power CP1350. If someone knows how to solve this, fix it, and get it working and stay working, I would be SOOO Grateful! This is the error message. I keep having this weird issue that gives me 0 hints of why it is happening, it happens in extremely unpredictable times, so basically what happens is both monitors turn off meaning 0 video input from the GPU, 0 audio input, and when I click on the power off button on my case nothing at all happens so I have to switch on/off the power supply, my PC works perfectly until everything unexpectedly stops working, does anyone have any idea why this happens?

I just installed a 7800xt upgrading from a 2070 along with 16gb more of RAM (same model of sticks, seated properly). I used DDU in safe mode, my power supply is a Thermaltake 850w Grandpower or whatever it's called, and I'm using two PCIE cables, not a single daisy chained one. Despite this, my computer is crashing to a black screen when I play a demanding game such as Escape from Tarkov and Arma 3. It will sometimes go hours without a crash, or I just had an experience where it crashed three times in 10 minutes. All in the same spot in the game. Must be a demanding spot to render. Every time it crashes, my displays go black, my fans RGB in the tower turns off, but the fans stay on along with RAM RGB. The computer will not turn off via power button, and will only turn off via power supply switch. In addition to this, once the computer crashes my CPU debug light turns on. I don't believe this a CPU issue, I've had my 5800x for 2 or 3 years now with zero issues. This is an issue only after I swapped my 2070 to a 7800xt. I know that I installed everything correctly, this is not my first build, and I've undervolted the GPU using AMD's software and it still crashes. I've also stress-tested the GPU is FurMark, here's some interesting and abnormal data from the test: https://imgur.com/a/AfWCFne Literally every metric dropped to near zero every 7 seconds. What could be causing this? Surely this isn't normal behaviour. I'm convinced it's a power delivery issue, but I don't know if it's a PSU issue or GPU issue. Not sure what to do to try and remedy anymore. Please help! Specs: 5800x 7800xt Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 850W Gold Fully Modular (6 years old) B450 Tomahawk Max (4 years old) BIOS version 7C02v3A 4x 8gb G-Skill DDR4 3600 Windows 10 version 10.0.19045

My uncle passed away recently and when left me his PC. It's a very nice PC, recently updated a few things. But other things are a mess and really gross. Pretty much everything on the Motherboard itself is fine. ASUS Maximus X Code i7 8700 CPU (with absolutely ZERO thermal paste for what I assume is literal years) PowerColor 6700XT 32gb 3200 G-Skill RAM. Corsair 850 Watts TX850M 80 PLUS Gold What I'm having an issue with are the fans. It currently has 2 EVGA RL4Z T1402512M-3M in the back and 3 in the front. He saw an LTT video about the EVGA DG-87 back in the day and got a variant of it it's an absolute CHORE to deal with. The back 2 ones have a 3 pin connector going into the case which are easily replaceable I've already ordered Noctua fans to replace them. The same with the 3 front fans. The issue is the top fans, those don't work at all and neither does the AIO cooler which is a Corsair H60. The fans uphere go into a Thermaltake thing and it doesn't seem to work. It's currently going into CHA_FAN 3 which is the closest one do it, since 1 and 2 are either next to my CPU or at the bottom of the Motherboard. They're thermaltake fans as well, but I don't know the model number since it just has the Thermaltake logo on it

Hi! I have had my LG 38GL950G for a while now (since late 2019) The fan(s) has started to make a hissing/high pitched sound, only when the monitor is on. As i don't use headphones when i am at my computer it gets really straining after a while. I am super happy with the monitor and am not really looking to change. So i was thinking of opening it up and changing the fans both the cooling fan and the G-sync fan. to something a bit more "quality" and quiet. I have been looking online for and have seen people do this but not to the G-sync fan. My fear is that changing the G-sync fan can brick the monitor. Has anyone done this? am i better off just starting to use headphones than going through all this trouble? Any advice is welcome! Thank you!

The left click broke and subsequently was lost when it fell out of the mouse. Is there a place I can buy a replacement? Somebody at Best Buy told me you can call logitech and they will give you one for free, but when I called some bot talked to me and told me to blow off its not a big deal ( basically tried to convince me I don't have a problem and hung up) Thanks

I just got a kingston NVMe ssd and put it into my laptop. It shows up in the bios just fine. But I can't find it on windows(11) file manager or on device manager, not even on disk manager. The SSD is a kingston snv2s1000g if that helps at all. Here are some pics of the bios and disk manager: Original NVMe SSD that came with the laptop. the kingston one: and the disk manager:

I have an astro c40 which I use regularly to play fortnite. I play on a laptop hooked up to a 240hz monitor. When moving my right stick it feels slow and sluggish. My grip is affected and I can barely hold the controller properly. I also have to giggle my stick with excessive force just to make quick movements in-game. An example is editing a build piece quickly. It makes my editing and aim inconsistent. At times, I leave my game for a while, then I come back, it feels a lot more responsive for a couple of minutes (less than 5 minutes) then returns. My Specs Laptop Name : Asus ROG Zephyrus M15 GU502LW-BI7N6 CPU: Intel Core i7-10750H (Comet Lake-H) GPU : Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max Q RAM : 16GB DDR4 Motherboard/Laptop Model: Zephyrus GU502LW-BI7N6 Storage: 1TB SSD Refresh rate: 240hz Operating System: Windows 10 (Ghost Spectre Superlite) External Monitor : Acer Nitro XV1 Series-XV271 (240hz monitor) Controller : Astro C40 Tournament Ready Pro Controller Reinstalled Windows (both base Windows and Ghost Spectre) Reinstalled Graphics drivers (Used DDU for uninstalling) Changed in -game sensitivity and deadzone. As well as adjusting the stick curve through the astro configuration application. used the appropriate Nvidia control panel settings Switched to LAN Used Bitsum Highest Performance Power Plan for less latency Done all performance and gaming related 'tweaks' (registry tweaks, Using process lasso, etc)

Hi everyone! I have a system here that has been seeing some general system instability lately such as giving a Memory Management BSOD error. I've done some troubleshooting and have narrowed it down to either my motherboard (unlikely), memory sticks, or processor as MemTest86 shows errors in a test. However I don't have enough knowledge to understand which component specifically may be causing the issue. The system is, Asus x570 Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi AMD 3900x 32 GB (4x8) Team TForce Dark Pro 3200 CL14 MSI GTX 1070 The sticks should be the same with only very minor differences which can be seen attached. I've attached the results of the memtest below and will upload another test afterwards once I am finished. I plan on turning off docp/xmp and resorting the memory sticks to see if the errors persist and weather they appear at different times which could indicate a memory stick issue I believe. However, if I am wrong and there are better suggestions. Please let me know. Another situation it could be is that the sticks aren't making proper contact with the board; as in my situation the AIO that I'm using is pushing against one of my sticks of memory to the point that you can see a difference in space between the sticks. However when I installed it the sticks still managed to seat properly from my opinion (including the audible click sound from the levers). If this is the case then it would also be somewhat tested when I reseat the memory. A photo can be seen attached. Unfortunately I do not have extra sticks of memory nor another processor to swap them out and check that way. Best case scenario it's just the sticks which allows me to RMA them as they come with a lifetime warranty; however if it's the memory controller on the processor then that would require me to go through AMD warranty which I'm not too sure on.

Alright, so as the title says I updated my BIOS on my Asus X470-Prime Pro in the bios menu, not in windows, and now that its been updated from v4018 to v6210 it seems like either my bios settings have been wiped or somehow the BIOS doesn't support my install of windows. Things I've done are, change the boot priority and set any of my extra drives to "disabled". That has resulted in a different message, instead of windows boot manager coming up, now it says select a proper drive and restart. Which then lead me to thinking maybe the NVMe SSD somehow died during the BIOS update. So I took it out and plugged it into another computer I have and sure enough, there where all my files including the one that windows boot manager said was "missing or corrupt". So now I am at the point of needing someone who knows what they're doing to help me figure this BS out. Let me know if there is more information I can provide to help you help me! TIA

I have been to Reddit and Tom's Hardware about this issue but they don't allow me to post this because of "spam-like" or "inappropriate" content. I have been running into this issue for about 3 months while playing Roblox. I have been going through everything to try to attempt to fix it but I have had no luck. When playing Roblox, I would run into an issue where the CPU times would spike all the way up to 2000ms while the GPU does not. I can't recreate the issue. I have went through numerous different ways of fixing and testing different components to make sure that it isn't a component create all the problems. My computer works perfectly fine for every other game on max settings such as Minecraft, Overwatch, CSGO, Forza Horizon 3 and Valorant. Here are the specs for my computer: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x, runs at 50C GPU: Geforce RTX 3070 Ti, runs at 47C SSD: 1TB Samsung EVO RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM @ 3200mHz PSU: EVGA 650W Motherboard: Asrock B450M Steel Legend What I tried to fix the issue: Reinstalled Roblox Adjusted the Firewall Checked Temps of All components (everything was good) Checked the Voltages of CPU (Good) Stressed Tested CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD (all good) Completely Reinstalling Roblox Used Bloxstrap (external Roblox mod) Turned Graphics down Here are some pictures: Images and Videos of the Incidents on Roblox

First time poster here, I just recently won a Lenovo Y25g-30 (1080p 360Hz) from a giveaway and was eager to try it out only for it not to work when set to a refresh rate above 120Hz. Symptoms include: Extreme rapid screen flickering at 144 - 300Hz, Complete black screen when set to 360Hz "Display connection might be limited" error in windows notifications My old monitor ran at 244Hz without any issues for 4 years I have all my drivers up to date and have tried reinstalling I have tried both the DP cable used with my old monitor and the new one that came with my Y25g-30 I have installed Lenovo control panel, it picks up the monitor just fine but changing the Hz there yields the same results says the firmware is up to date tried with G-Sync and Vsync off and have the same issues just with added screen tearing Warframe randomly worked when set at 240Hz but black screened when set to 360Hz. All other games flicker at above 120Hz I have tried unplugging all my other monitors and have the same issues I use an RTX 2080 I am on Windows 10 I'm out of ideas here. I have tried to do my own research but there simply isn't much information on the Y25g-30 out there. I found a few forums with people having my same issue but no one was ever able to help them. I have worked on this thing for over 6 hours across 3 days with no progress made. I have consulted friends with much more knowledge on these matters than me but they are also stumped. Any advice/ help would be greatly appreciated!

Bit of a long one, but you guys get the important bits because this one is a while in the making. Rig: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU Gigabyte X670 Gaming X AX Motherboard Sapphire Pulse AMD RX 7900XTX graphics card 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000MT/s (2x16GB kit) Solidigm P44 Pro 2TB Nvme SSD Corsair RM1000x power supply Fractal Torrent case Noctua fans I started experiencing issues about a month ago, when my PC decided to not boot properly. I press the power button and it 'turns on', meaning the fans spin up, the internal lights come on and my display detects a signal. But no video out. I am also seeing the diagnostic LEDs on the motherboard switching between CPU and RAM. I do some troubleshooting: Re-seat memory, CPU & GPU Clear CMOS Attempt to get into the BIOS No dice. Still getting the flashing LEDs. I contact Scan, the UK retailer where I bought my motherboard, to split the difference between the CPU and memory and see if they can identify the problem. No dice. They return the board with a No Fault Found report, having tested with a 7600x and RTX 3090. I'm not convinced this is representative of my system but I accept the board back. I order some more memory (a slightly different kit that's made for AMD EXPO and is CL30 rather than 36), another 7800X3D and even a NZXT N7 B650E motherboard (I didn't know they did mobos, it's a pretty thing too). I have tried every combination of components between these two systems, including a GTX 650 borrowed from a friend. But to no avail. I can get into the BIOS of either board but not into the boot drive of my main rig. I did try the drive from my laptop which did get into Windows, but I can't explain why it won't work on the Solidigm drive. I also can't boot to the BIOS or further now if either GPU is connected and I try to use them for video out. I have even swapped the PSU for a 750W Seasonic I use in another machine. I have also by now seen the VGA diagnostic LED lit, which can be simply from no dGPU bring installed, or the dGPU not getting PCIe power from the PSU, which is why I tried swapping them. Between this and other fiddling (inc. Q-Flash-ing the BIOS forwards and backwards revisions) I did have a working PC last Friday, but the thing stopped working the exact same way on Saturday morning. Please help me figure out what the heck is going on with this computer.
