Hey guys. I wanted to buy a new dual monitor stand. So finally I stumbled upon this stand, which is pretty well priced(I guess, at around $25). The stand seems to be very good, at least from the reviews. But my table has a lip of just around 3cm. Would that be a good enough? I just want to confirm. My lip is pretty small. Would like a response from people who have actually installed this stand. Thanks. EDIT: If you're wondering by what I meant by "Lip", here is what it is:

So, I've got a strange set of requirements for a desk. I'm looking for a cheap desk (roughly a hundred or less) that allows me to have my three 23 (from left to right) inch monitors and my speakers as well as enough lip room to attach clamps for a microphone arm and allow my left and right as well as central speaker and my Qck XXL Steelseries mat with my keyboard and mouse. I don't want a glass space to rest things on but I am open to the idea of having a keyboard tray tucked underneath (if it can accept my 36 inch by 16 inch mousepad). I'm running a full tower case and it'll be tucked underneath.

Does any body know what desk or table Faze Teeqo was using in his "MY ROOM TOUR - LA FaZe House" video? I've been looking for quite awhile now and can't seem to find it. Thanks. - Jase

desk case any experience with lian li dk04 or vector vd01?
killerkappi posted a topic in Cases and Mods
Dear Community. I'messed up my own desk PC project so now i'am looking for a finished version. The only 2 brands i found were Lian li and vector custom design. So i looked at the vd01 and the lian li dk04 but both of them seem to be rarely bought cause i find just very few infos. So does someone know one of these case? Has seen them on cons or owns one? I guess the vector would fit my wallet more cause it costs 400 bucks less. But i never heard from that brand and their webpage is awful made. and there aren't any product descriptions. I planed to reuse my mora 3 so i need openings for tubes do they have that? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/vector-custom-design-vd01-desk-case-black-ca-001-vc.html https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lian-li-dk-04x-electrical-height-adjustable-desk-case-black-ca-747-ll.html PS: i live in switzerland so small local brands are no option -

Over the course of a few years, I got a small budget setup going. It works well for me and coincidentally everything I have is black, red and/or white. So I'm wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how to make my current desk/table black (I really do not want to try painting it). Desk Specs: - 35.5 inches wide, 29.5 inches long, 1 inch thick - Wooden desk with some sort of nice, glossy finish

Hello, New at the site so I hope I posted in the correct area. I hope someone can help with some information... I have a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Case and 2 Asus VC239H monitors. Currently the PC case sits on a wheeled dolly so I can easily move it around and of course the monitors are sitting on my desk. The monitors are on a Mount-It! MI-1781 dual monitor desk stand. I have a very large desk with cabinets and such. Problem is my daughter is now old enough that she needs to have her own room, thus I will be getting rid of my desk as we won't have enough space to keep it. I am interested in getting maybe a type of rolling mobile/standing solution that can easily rolled around and handle the size of the PC case I have and can handle dual monitors and of course have some space for the wireless keyboard and wireless trackball mouse and so on. Also I am a tall guy(198.12cm) so it needs a be adjustable... well if possible Not concerned about placement of printer, paper or anything such as that as that already placed somewhere else. I found a few things on Amazon but they all seem too small to handle my case. Such as this example... https://www.amazon.com/AW-Rolling-Desktop-Computer-Workstation/dp/B0109Y3HLK/ref=pd_sbs_229_50?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=AS2ZN9M88AY28285WM6D So I ask if any of you gurus here know/have any suggestions that I can look into? It is something that I need to do as soon as possible. Thank you for any and all help you can provide and much continued success to all of you. Have a great rest of the week and a wonderful weekend. So ... i was converting my Windows Server in to Linux and i backed up EVERYTHING .... except MySQL, i remembered this after i installed Ubuntu so the files did not get overwrote during the switch. I was able to recover the whole `C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0` directory and files inside. One problem ... i cant just copy that backup over to new MySQL install (i installed MySQL on my Main PC with Windows 10 just to test it and convert everything in to .sql files and back them up) If i try to do that with the files that actually need to be copied (ibdata, ib_logfileX...) MySQL wont start... Is there any way to recover the InnoDB databases and tables with ibd files or what can i do to recover it in some other way? I was searching around and everything that i found required some .frm file which i couldnt find anywhere, im guessing MySQL 8 doesnt use them anymore? Imma add some pics of files that i have in to attachments And inside the Data folder: The most important Database from there is that `admin_tracker`, i need to recover that, other stuff is not really needed .... Files inside that `admin_tracker` folder: Thank you for any help!

Hi. My PCs stereo speakers are currently sitting on my glass James table. They're really bassey and I can feel the vibration in my hands when I'm at my PC. In terms of acoustics, I'm sure set up this isn't great. However, I'm more concerned if the vibration could potentially damage the speakers and/or glass table? Thanks in advance

(A little backstory) I'm 24, happily married with 2 kids! Before this whole thing I'd only built one thing out of wood, and thankfully there aren't any pictures I could find of that... thing. So I had this really awkward wall situation, a badly warped Ikea desk that was ready for the bin. Having someone build a custom desk to match these angles would cost a ton of money, especially all wood. So I did the logical thing and got into woodworking! (My wife thought I was nuts) This entire thing ran me just over $300 (Basically the price of all the wood) All the tools I used were about 300 in total as well if you want to take that into consideration, though I've used all that stuff on tons of other project by now so personally I thought it was totally worth it. This is the dying Ikea table against the strange wall. The painters tape outlines the dimensions of the new table I wanted to make. (note the cable apocolypse) I took some measurements and penciled my new tables dimensions on the floor, made some adjustments and finally taped the final size down for reference. I always liked tables that kinda rap around you like some kind of spaceship cockpit. Also, this wall looked perfect for some reference speakers for mixing music, which is why I wanted the PC at that center wall. So over the next few months I saved up and bought some basic tools. I built a workbench as a practice run since that wouldn't need to be pretty. I learned a lot during this proccess and now I had a place to work on this computer table! (Keep in mind we live in an apartment...) Here's what that workbench looked like when I first made it. I used a super dense leg system I got on Amazon to make things a bit easier on my first go. Now I had a place to work and some basic tools! So work on this baby officially started. I calculated all the wood I'd need and went off to Lowes. I picked up 8 oak 4x4s for the legs, a bunch of cheap 2x4 to make the frame where the table top would sit (After the Ikea table I promised myself I'd never have a bowing computer desk again) and a bunch of squared pine planks for the table top. Here are all the planks sitting on the work bench. These would eventually be the table top and were the bulk of the price. They ran about $30 each. Here I started working on the frame/support using all the 2x4s These things are super cheap! (like $2 for 10 feet.) I used titebond wood glue, clamps, and a nailgun for this part. The area of the frame is exactly 2" smaller than the outline on all sides, that's why it looks smaller. This is because I wanted the table top to hang 2" past the frame on all sides. Here's the finished frame! Took a lot of simple math and calculations but I eventually got it right! So this part cost like $10 because these 2x4 are so cheap. Next I attatched the legs. This part was a little trickier than I anticipated so I had to make some adjustments with a handsaw at the end. I wanted to make this table something I could take apart when we move, so rather than using glue and nails I used hardwood cabinet screws and some little oak supports under the frame I made from left over oak. Next I laid the planks on the frame and drew the angles to cut out to match the wall. I clamped these down with wood glue to the frame, but not the legs so that I can still take this thing apart later. I used heavy stuff to apply pressure where I couldn't fit the clamps. After some fine tuning she was basically done! I was originally planning on painting it, but I got so attatched by the end that I ended up just keeping the natural look. I sealed the wood with some beeswax and orange oil and that was that. I eventually added this contraption to mount my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 And here she is today! (I use the long side on the left for soldering and using my midi.) Here's what the workbench has turned in to so far. I honestly owe a lot of the motivation for this whole thing to LMG. Watching these guys not only taught me so much but made me feel like a piece of crap for not getting more involved with tech and making my life and my friend/familys lives better. Thanks to them I built my own PC, got into soldering, woodworking, coding, and just a ton of stuff in general. It's been a really awesome ride and I can't wait to build tons more cool stuff. If you guys want any more info about this build just let me know and I'll post it! My PC is nothing crazy but here's my setup in case anyones curious. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DRd8Fd Hopefully I'll have the cash to build a super bada** computer some day. I'll definitely share it with all of you. - Jesus (Yes, that is my name)

I have an old custom made table for my rig. It was quiet good as is but the wooden surface is deteriorating with many scratches. Any good and cheap material to wrap your table to cover it? I am thinking of getting a vinyl wrap but I don't really know any other good alternatives.

I have an IKEA Micke corner workstation that I just put in the corner of my bedroom and I need to find a place to put my MSI where it wont take up a ton of space. I tried finding a vertical stand like those made for the macbooks (twelve stand comes to mind) and I have had no lucking finding one or a DIY solution. Also the shelves aren't wide enough to put the MSI. Short of mounting it under the table I have no clue where to put it (would like to avoid this since I move the laptop around fairly often). Does anyone know if there is a vertical stand, a way to mount it behind the monitor (I have a Dell s2440l), or a good way to have it not take up so much space?

I was just wondering what kind of table y'all were using... I'm planning to get a new one, and it should fit a least 2 monitors, possibly even a case...

Soo I'll be having my own room after we transfer to a new condo unit. Not that big of a room, I think just enough for one dude. Since I'm free to do whatever I want with the room, I plan on buying a computer/office desk for my PC. I have a 1x 22" monitor and another 15". Anyways my point is, does anyone have a "standard" regarding ergonomics for computer desks? Also, if anyone has like, opensource designs of desks, they are very much welcome. Thanks in advance. P.S. we don't have IKEA here.

Hi! Well, this is my plan. Basicly, we have a huge living room in my flat and there is a lot of space left. So, I thought, well let's build a wall and make a small office behind it. Here are some pictures how we planned it. Budget: $5k Floor plan: 3D RENDER: ^^ - Brown shelf is random, program didn't have white ones. ^^ - That shelf is random, I didn't have corner ones in the program Monitor would be wall mounted. Desk will only have front 2 legs, back will be mounted to the wall. On the other side of the wall is the tv, so I will have power from that wall. I was thinking about putting all the cables in the wall, and just drill a hole behind the monitor where it would come out (hdmi and power). Also, I was thinking to drill a hole under the monitor to put mouse and keyboard cables (card readers etc.) They will just be under the table with that IKEA cable holders. So, how you would help me a lot Basicly, we have IKEA here in Croatia. And I am looking for, well, everything Table, shelf, chairs etc. Also, any ideas for storage would be also cool (I just put some random book thingy ) Thanks!! EDIT: Question: Should the wall be all the way up, or should I leave some space? Like holes or something. Also, LED light will be put also.

I have been searching for a new desk form my computer for a long time. Nothing fits what I want. Desk Progress: ------------------------------------------------------------------- I would like a mix of this: Desktop 2 and the one in the attachment, Desktop 1(standard computer desk). My idea would to have everything of desktop 1, with some of the features form desktop 2. With added features like fan(s) for the desktop cabinet, pullout keyboard tray the entire length of the desk (possibly or at least 45 inches long) so a G27 and a keyboard can fit, a back to the desk to hide all the wires with the wire management as good as Desktop 2. Possibly 2 USB type-c, 2 USB 3.0, 2 display port, and audio jack extensions to the surface of the desk somewhere that can be connected to the computer. A nice place to put a nice surge protector (e.g. Belkin 12 outlet pivot), possible location under desktop cabinet if desk is raised from the ground. My current desk is 42 inches long x 24 inches depth x 30 inches high and is too small. So guessing from the sizes i have maybe a 60 inch x 24-30 inch depth x 20 inches high desk would fit. I need room for a ATX Full Tower, av receiver, triple monitor setup or a 42 inch TV, various PC manuals and backup disks and other storage for headphones and other equipment used, keyboard and mouse obviously, gaming joystick or steering wheel. I am going to school for mechanical engineering and have attempted to model this in solidworks which is a bit of a pain in the ass. Would like for some input for a better software or improvements to the idea before I make it for real.
