I have two computers with a usb 3.2 gen 2x2 interface. I want to take advantage of the ports for file transfer between the two devices. Due to USB being a host-slave hierarchy my current plan is to have an ssd in an enclosure with a usb 3.2 gen 2x2 port and then connecting the enclosure to a device switcher that would have the enclosure on one side and on the host side two usb 3.2 gen 2x2 ports for hosts that i could swap with a click of a button. I am having a hard time finding a device switcher that uses 3.2 gen 2X2 ports and not just 3.2 gen 2.

I have a laptop that only has 1 HDMI out, and no DP out. I would like to connect my 1080p 144hz monitor and my 1080p 60hz TV to it. Don't need to use both at once, but it would be a plus. Is it possible? And what should I do in order to achieve it? Note: My laptop has an USB-C port, but it seems not to support display output. I've bought an adapter just to realise that.

Once upon a time, I had 3 monitors and a small TV. The monitors are for my gaming desktop, the TV was a cheap external display I could use to play my various consoles and retain my 3 monitors for the PC. I attempted to use the TV as a 4th monitor for a bit but after some time turned off, Windows 10 will essentially "forget" the monitor (even though it remains plugged in) and then recombobulate my existing monitors which was annoying. After a few instances of that, I gave up on using the TV as a 4th. Fast forward to today, and I have purchased a new monitor and retired the small TV. So I now have 4 monitors connected to my PC. I'd like to replicate my previous setup and have my consoles routed to one of my monitors, but fiddling with buttons on my monitors to swap inputs was annoying so I had the idea of using an HDMI switch attached to a monitor. However, I'm running into my old problem. When using the HDMI switch to swap to an input that is not my PC, Windows 10 "loses" the monitor and recombobulates the existing ones. Any ideas on what I could do to fix this? Is there a specific HDMI switch I should look at, something I need to tweak on the Windows end, or the monitors end, or some other device I should look into? I don't have room in my current setup to bring the TV back out.

I'm looking to purchase a video switcher for producing services at my church. I've narrowed my search to a few models but am torn between a combined switcher/control panel or buying a separate control panel. Software control isn't an option. The cheapest option that meets my needs is the ATEM Television Studio Pro HD, but the controls don't look as good as the dedicated panels. Alternatively, I could purchase the ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel (with physical camera controls), which I could pair with either the ATEM Television Studio HD or ATEM Production Studio 4K. The latter option is significantly more expensive than the former but also has significant advantages. I will need to use luma keys, basic transitions, and basic PiP. From what I can tell, all three switcher options will allow this. Is there a significant difference in capability (DVE, M/E, etc.) between the production studio 4k and television studio HD (be it the Pro model or otherwise)? Do I need to worry about input resolution and framerate matching for any of these models? Can both the SDI and HDMI program outputs on the Production Studio 4k be used simultaneously? The other parts of the setup are as follows: Two HDMI cameras 1-3 Additional cameras (possibly PTZ) in the future Two HDMI inputs from ProPresenter for video content and song lyrics Four monitors, one each for multiview, ATEM software control, OBS stream preview, and general computer usage. A computer running OBS with an Intensity Pro 4k installed. I will purchase and SDI to HDMI adapter if my selected switcher does not offer Program out over HDMI A Streamdeck for controlling OBS functions Any input or suggestions are much appreciated. I have reached the limits of what I can do with OBS directly as video production needs have increased and I want to move to a dedicated switcher as soon as possible. Spec sheets below:

Hey! im looking for a DUAL monitor Splitter Switch. to clarify i want to use two HDMI from my PC, (from GPU) and have them on a switch that i can interchange them between 4 monitors, switching two at a time. So HDMI 1 from computer can switch to output 1 and 3 and HDMI 2 from computer to 2 and 4. Where 1 & 2 are one switch and 3 & 4 are the other. I want to know this because i just got a new PC and would like to share it with my brother in his room from my room, (only a thin wall between rooms) but not let him see or take control unless i flip a switch to let his monitors be connected and a mouse and keyboard (USB devices i have see switches for what i need.) So what i'm looking for is a 2 INPUT with a 2x2 output that can be switched between each one. can anyone help? i would like it if it could just flip a switch behind my monitor to do it so yeah... hardware button to switch. s-sorry if this is in the wrong place... p-please don't hurt me... Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knows of a product that I could plug my 3.5mm from my laptop, desktop and phone into and then have 2 outputs? So one output can go to my speakers and another to my headphones. I'm thinking it's basically like a HDMI switcher but for 3.5mm jacks. In my 10 minute google search I found someone mentioning they made an arduino do it, but gave no more information on that or possible products to fix my problem. Thank you

Hi everyone, I have been working with live video switchers for a while and I know my basics and have been working on tricaster and Ross video boards but I will be working with a Blackmagic 1 M/E Advanced board and I will have little time to practice and set up the board I was hoping to find some tutorials on the boards them selfs but Im not having much luck I was hoping some one might have and idea where to look I have downloaded the manual but I learn better from seeing it happen or doing it. thanks for any help you can give

I am looking for an HDMI switcher for my TV. I need one with audio out because my TV has no was of putting audio out to a different sources. Trying to stay around $20. If there is one within the budget that automatically switches based on what is turned on that would be great, but not necessary. It just needs to have audio out and at least 3 inputs, preferably more.

Hello everyone, for years I've wanted a quick and easy way to change between my headphones and my Speaker setup. I didn't want to be alt+tab-ing out of games every time I wanted to change it, nor having to plug and unplug stuff all the time. Hence I came up with this Idea, quite a few years ago, but I tought I'd share with you guys (and maybe even take some input and possibly turning it into some kind of product for those who aren't so DIY) If you use Stereo sound and Headphones, you will surely enjoy this! The scheme is very simple, but very effective. Pros: Quick switching No wearing of the connectors No variation in signal equalization from one port to another Doesn't require any software (it's a hardware switch, duh) If you get a 3-position switch, you also have a hardware mute. Cons: Doesn't work with HDMI, SPDIF and other digital connectors, just analog signal. More wires for you to manage. You might have a little loss of quality/signal degradation (I used insulated cooper wires for peace of mind, and didn't notice any difference adding the switch to the line of audio) With that explained, let's get to what you will need: Materials/components: • Wiring (measure the amount you need, but generally 3 meters (~9 feet) is enough) • Male 3,5mm connector • 2x Female 3,5mm connector • 3 way switch with 6 pins. I like this one better than any other. (Not sure if that's the proper name, in Brazil we call it "tic-tac 3 position switch") • Tin (Solder) • (Optional) Anchor points & Zip Ties for securing the connectors and routing cables. • (Optional) Hot glue for protecting the connectors) Tools • Soldering Iron • Cutting pliers • If possible, cable strippers (or the equivalent you can get) The electric scheme is this: (Check out my mad skills with mspaint) If you didn't quite understand that I'll try to explain better: The Green line is your left and right channel wires, those you can solder to the headphone, speaker and PC connectors. The black line is the neutral cable, it's just one cable, that's why we use it for the switching. The 3 dots represent the switch, that's how we swap between headphones and speakers. The right part of the scheme is to represent how I soldered (and find it easier to do) the cables to the switch. The left of the switch is "in", the right is "out" (But this may vary from one switch to another) watch out for that. Ok, lets go for the 5 steps! 1 - Measure everything, you should place the devices where you normally leave them and measure with a little room for mistakes/adjustments 2- Strip the wires and solder the P2's connectors to the cables and secure them with hot glue and put the cap in place. (Watch out for the colors so that Left and Right aren't swapped) 3- Run the active cables through their routes and solder the "Y" together around the same place as the switch is. And also route the neutrals to the switch. 4- Solder the neutral cables to the switch as in the scheme above. Use hot glue to make sure they are secured in place, and place it where you want. 5- Test it and enjoy! Once I get home I'll give you more pictures of my switcher, and if you want, a picture/video on how to do it.

Hello I am looking at buying a mbeat 4 HDMI switcher for my tv (it is isn't new at all and is only 720p) you can find it here I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with their products to be sure I won't get a S**T picture at the other end. Thanks

Hey there, guys, I've recently come into ownership of several game consoles and am in a slight bit of a pickle. I want to use my second monitor for console games, but it only has one HDMI input port. I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a five input HDMI switcher, because I haven't got a clue. Thanks in advance!
