On top of the “Photography and Videography” forum, there should be a sub-forum on top of that for video/photo editing. It should be called like “Photo and Video Editing.” It would be a great improvement for the photo/video editing community that is on this forum.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8GptHQ0W2U&t=403s&ab_channel=LinusTechTips In this video by LTT, where they attempt to build a comparative bluetooth speaker to a LG solution, Linus mentions a 2 inch subwoofer. Do these actually exist? Because i too would like to try my hand at making a portable speaker, but am having no luck finding one. I'm not sure if this is the right section of the forum, but Linus always says that the forums are helpful, so i figured I'd give it a shot

So I recently bought the presonus eris e3.5 and the focusrite scarlett 2i2. But since the speakers lack sub , I decided to use my old creative A255 sub woofer which is really good. But when I connected the focusrite into the lap, the audio output from my lap wont function. I tried changing the output from system sound settings, but still it did not work. Using Asio4all in my daw and turning on both outputs from the control panel also did not work as the sound only came from the interface. Also the creative A255 sub takes info from the right speakers and then sents to the left. So is there anyway to get output from both outlets(lap audio output and from the 2i2) or is there a way to connect my sub without all these work. Also is there a possibility of creating a virtual environment and splitting the audio outputs such that I can use both my interface and laptop audio output jack? Any help is appreciated and thank you. Images : A255 sub back Creative speaker main connections Presonus eris e3.5 left speaker back Interface back

I currently own and drive daily a 2007 Toyota Sequoia, bought used it last summer. Apparently the designers at Toyota were too focused on the 2008 complete model redesign to care, but the 2007 model has a cd-radio-cassette-deck setup from the factory. In a 2007 SUV. Other cars had at least an aux input, some even had bluetooth by 2007, but I'm stuck with a frickin' cassette deck. That ain't gonna fly, I need something that bluetooths at the very least. Also the volume knob is miswired or shorted out or something because it doesn't function. turning it left or right does very little, it takes about 30 minutes of fiddling and fussing to get it to a usable level, and even then it can only play CDs, cassettes, and the radio, so I just keep it turned off. I use my Jabra earbuds to listen to music when I'm by myself. That means I can't share music in the car with any of my frequent passengers. I would like to retrofit it with something significantly more functional. I got about $350 to spend on it as of right now, just to get the stereo in working condition, the speakers sound fine. Farther on down the line I would like to install a sub, not to be obnoxious, but to get the "full experience." I have no idea how to do that, I'll figure it out. I know that Crutchfield.com is the best place to find what I need, but I thought I'd poke around in here first, just to get an idea of what to expect. I don't mind spending a day or two figuring out how to install it myself, I just want to get the most bang for my buck, and avoid amateur mistakes. any advice? Thanks! So i have teh chance to get my hands on a subwoofer (Dali Sub E-9 F) that will compliment my speakers (Dali Zensor 1) pretty well. The problem is i don't have any sub out on my amp (Dual CV 1460). It has speaker out for channel A and B and a "Tape 2/Monitor" output, but thats it. I don't know how I will be able to connect the sub to my amp if I were to buy it. SUB Backside: And AMP backside: I use the CD/AUX input for my pc, running through a Schiit Modi 2 DAC. And channel B for my speakers. I have not hooked up the ground as i tried this but it didn't help but made sound worse. Thanks in advance! B3rt1l PS. If you are just gonna call my 30+ year old amp shit or my dac useless, please don't reply at all, it's to no help

Okay so my girlfriends dad gave me a nice set of speakers. It has two satellite speakers, plus a sub. The sound is beautiful, until it gets ill. It has been ill for a week or so now. It makes an awful crackly static noise. It sounds like two industrial belt sanders fighting. The thing that makes no sense to me is there seems to be no obvious trigger, they were working fine for like 6 weeks, then all of a sudden in the middle of watching a movie, they started again and have been on and off since. They used to do this a lot, and then they would stop for a while then start, then stop, then start etc. etc. I think you get the point. It has proven impossible for me to diagnose. Make: Harman/Kardon Model: HK695 I have tried all of the following in an attempt to isolate the cause and NOTHING worked: Rebooting PC Reinstalling drivers Reinstalling windows (That wasn't because of this issue, but I have just reinstalled windows for another reason, and the speaker illness persists) Turning the speakers off and on while connected to PC, and while not (this works for like 30 seconds) Connecting the speakers to a different computer Powering the speakers from a different outlet Powering the speakers from a different house Adjusting the dials (Bass, Treble, Surround) - This occasionally serves as a temporary (5-10 minute) fix Unplugging the satellite speakers and testing the sub alone (tried this in conjunction with basically all of the above tests too) Kicking the sub (This surprisingly works best, I usually have to kick it many MANY times and it might eventually get better for 30-120 minutes) Swearing at it (this sadly doesn't work) Hoping it feels bad when I cry in despair (this also doesn't work) I will include a video of what the noise is once it starts again (I got mad and hit it and it stopped). Confused? (Yeah, so am I.) Ask away!

I purchased these Ceres C4.5Bt speakers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA18T3MJ5032&cm_re=ceres-_-9SIA18T3MJ5032-_-Product I connected a powered subwoofer to the Sub Out port on the back of these speakers. But I get a REALLY loud hum from the sub. I thought it might be the sub so I tried another powered subwoofer and it does the same. The Sub Out port is a 1/4 stereo jack port. So I'm using the adapter that came with it that changes it from a 1/4 in. headphone jack to RCA and using an RCA cable to connect them to my subwoofer. I read on their troubleshooting guide that a hum can be cause by a ground loop and that you should connect the power of the sub to the same power as the speakers. But they are so that is not the issue. I'm using a short RCA cable that is not running near any power cables so that's not the issue either. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello all, I don't know if this topic is suited for this forum but I am not sure where else I can post this. So I kinda got an idea on what I need.. I have the sub and amp already, it is the fuse for the wire and what size wire I need. 1x Sub is 1300W RMS 4ohm DVC which can be wired in 2 ohms. 1x Amp is 1875W RMS at 2 ohms. *Distance of wire needed from battery to back is around 4.5M (15ft). *What I am unsure is how much current they draw, then in which size wire I need? *I was thinking more along the lines of 2 gauge, for the fuse I have no idea as I am trying to figure the maths part out for the current. Any help is appreciated!!

liquid Consistent Subambient Cooling
TechSwagPimp1337 posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
TWMC, I’ve always had really high ambient temperatures in my room during summers. It was refinished from an attic storage room, and I live in the south. I’ve tried air coolers and AiO’s to cool the CPU, but in summers, I hit around 90°C max on my CPU. I’ve decided to buy an active chiller to reduce my temps down to something more reasonable i.e. 50’s to 60’s max. I have an EK custom water cooling system on the way, but I feel like I need something actively dropping temperature below ambient to get good results. I watched the video on chilling threadripper 2, but the aquarium chiller is no longer for sale. Is there any other chiller under $300 that’s not garbage? Thanks in Advance -
Hello all, I don't know if this topic is suited for this forum but I am not sure where else I can post this. So I have a sub and amp in my car, in which I have a problem with whenever the sub is turned up, or the bass drops, on a song the lights on the amp dim and the sub distorts when it is only at like 30% bass in which I have no idea, the earthing is good that I know of. I don't know if it is the car battery CCA rating is not high enough for the sub and amp or if it is the wiring to them which isn't big enough. Any suggestions? Sub & Amp I have; Quick Note I cannot find the amperage these 2 things use each so I don't know how many amps it is pushing to power them. so ive been refining my pc gaming and desktop experiance and im trying to get advice so i can get biggest gains for my relatively low budgets. i just discovered what a dac is and now i want one but i have no idea what i would want and need for the setup i want. so firstly i have 3 kenwood speakers from the 80s from my dad that sound great and a lg sub the needs an amplifier to work but atm my setup is sketchy as hell. i mutilated a cheap set of stereo desktop speakers for the amplifier and audio jack so i have power and volume controll for the sub and the power supply and everything circiut based is mounted onto the sub super sketchy, and im using my left and right speakers in a similar fashion so that my sub connects via its own jack to orange and left and right into green on my creative soundblaster x-fi xtreme sound card. id be shocked if a dac could power a 8ohm sub and speakers for 2.1 sound. if they can what dac should i get and should i get different speakers, bare in mind i want this for deep bass and clear left and right distinction for games and music.. my budget for the dac and aditional things id need is £100-£150 and speakers i can get when ever cause i can make do with current ones till pay day. i live in the uk and have access to amazon prime and ebay which are preferred thanks in advance

Hi friends, I found myself with an extra Polk audio wireless subwoofer for my Polk audio 6500BT sound bar. I’d love to be able to use it as part of a wired stereo system in the future. I’ve attached all the pictures of the board I pulled out of the enclosure in the hopes that someone will easily be able to tell me where the Bluetooth adapter is and where I can solder on an RCA connector to have audio provided by a wired device. My dad has worked on a built electronics for years, just not audio ones. So I’m confident in his ability to remove the component (if necessary) and solder in the new connectors, I just need to tell him what needs to go, and where to make the new connection. Would love some help and direction. In the pictures I’ve included the barcode of the sub with model number info. Let me know if I’ve missed providing any key information. Happy to do what I can to help you help me Thanks in advance Chris

I was wondering if there was a subwoofer I could use with my existing speakers, as well as taking in 2 inputs. I have 1 set of desktop speakers that have one 3.5mm jack, and one male 3.5mm cable coming out of it as inputs. I have my PC and an echo dot connected to this speaker, I can hear both simultaneously. Is there a cheap way to add a sub to this configuration, having both inputs use the sub at the same time?

Hey, I just got my new Magnat Monitor Supreme 302 A subwoofer, and the thing is; how do I hook it up? My soundsystem consists of two KRK Rokit 5 G3 Monitors, connected via TRS 1/4 cables to my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface I kinda thought this would be an easy process, since there had to be XLR outputs somewhere, right? Well, there's only 1 Line - In output, so what do I do/buy now? Do I need more Hardware?

Hello, I have a 2001 Honda Civic coupe that I would like to add a subwoofer too. I don't want a big box laying around in the trunk like everyone else does. I have a few spots in mind but people say they aren't good ideas or spots. I don't know much about car audio but I know a good amount about home audio. If you would like to help, let me know and I'll send you more details regarding my placements I had in mind. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My current crappy little Bluetooth speaker is making a horrible whining sound so I'm looking for a good set of speakers to use on my desk for my computer. I'd like a subwoofer but as I have quite limited space on the floor (I like plenty of foot room under my desk) or anywhere around me it's not super necessary. I'll be using them for pretty much everything, video streaming (YouTube, Twitch, Netflix etc.) as well as gaming and for general music. I enjoy a more bass filled experience especially with my music. My budget is $50-75 but I won't mind if it's anything less than that. Can anyone recommend a good set? Thanks!

I have a Lepai 2020A+, 2.0 channel amplifier that I would like to output to a 2.1 channel system. I have had this work wonderfully before, but I can't seem to find what kind of "adapter" or function this tech is called. Here is an example of a sub that does what I need. It has the left/right input from an amp and a left/right output to speakers. This is all on a powered subwoofer, where it must have some kind of low-pass filter within to sap the low-end sound out of the left and right signals. What is this adapter/process called? Can I buy one? Thanks

I have a Samsung ps-EW1-1 subwoofer and I want to hook it up to my Technics amp, however my amp only has stereo connections (L/R). How do I wire the funny connection (image below) on this sub to my amp correctly?
