Is there any good way to take the input from a microphone and change it in real time and output the modified audio into OBS for streaming on macOS? I have a 3D-puppet that I control in real time and need to also change my voice. Free is preferred but I'm willing to pay up to 10 USD. If I can control it via the Elgato Steam Deck MK.2 (turn the effect on/off) it also a bonus, but not a must. (MBP M1 Max).

I am running into an issue that my CPU runs at 100% while I am streaming. I am running Streamlabs OBS, game, a chatbot, music program, some smaller background programs and discord. I am also using two monitors one is 1440 and the other is 1080. My framerate jumps all over the place while I am streaming, it runs ok for the most part, but defiantly lags at times. If you can assist in any way that would be great. - Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z390-A - Processor: i9-9900k - RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 2666 - NVMe SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB - Video Card: ASRock Radeon RX 6700 XT Phantom Gaming

Twitch Streamer looking for upgrade recommendations!
Slugg posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hey LTT Forum! I'm a live-streamer at Twitch, and I'm looking into upgrading my PC as it's beginning to limit my streaming experience I almost only stream Hearthstone, a very non-demanding game to stream, on high streaming settings. (720p, 60fps, 3500 bitrate, faster CPU setting) I'm using OBS Studio. My CPU can't handle other games than Hearthstone while streaming. - Or well the games run smoothly, but the stream lags, even with low settings ingame and OBS (720p, 30fps, 3500 bitrate, Superfast) I've just picked up For Honor, and really enjoying the game, but when streaming it on low settings I have like 20 fps ingame on stream, the game runs smoothly for me still. I've looked at the new AMD Ryzen, but have been told to stay away from AMD when streaming due to x264 (might be confusing this with something else), is this still the case for the Ryzen? Other CPU's I'm looking into are the Intel i7 7700k, and the 6800k. Basicly what CPU should I go for? More Cores or higher clock speed? I do realize that my GPU also could use an upgrade, BUT my CPU seems to be the one holding me back as of now, will be upgrading my GPU soon aswell though. Budget: As long as I'm futureproof I don't mind spending extra. But around $400. These are my specs: The important: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.5GHz DirectX 12 (maybe important, not sure ) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 The whatevers: Windows 10 Home 64-bit. 16g Ram Thanks a bunch, Slugg -
Hi, This is my first time posting on this forum You guys can call me D. So I've been stuck with laptops for a while now and haven't consider building my own rig. Now I plan to make my own rig With a tight budget of RM 2.5k (Malaysian currency) which is about 568.05 USD (as of 22/4/2017). The build will be mostly used for gaming and streaming. For those asking why I have such a small budget, I spent most of my money on an elgato capture card and a PS4. (I Play Sreet FIghter) and plan to make street fighter content. So...Any suggestions?

Hello, recently I created a discord server for me, my viewers and my friends. How to make my Twitch subscriber automatically join subscribers role in discord and how to make them automatically get kicked out, when hes not subbed anymore?

Hey Linus Tech Tips forum! I am Emperor Pheno! I am new to the forum, but I've been watching the youtube channel for quite a while. I want to talk a bit about my self, kind of as an introduction; I am Norwegian, specifically from the cold north. I like video-games and I also stream them (https://www.twitch.tv/coffeekingpheno)! I have a discord channel for my stream, and I would really appreciate if you would drop by and say hello! (https://discord.gg/jCEKhXz). I have a dog and two cats, so you can say I am really social. I don't know what other things I can say now, other than that LST has really boosted my interests with computers!

I was hopping to reuse the hardware (a Boxee Box) that I have, since it's suppose to play in 1080p, however I'm not sure what distro, etc that it's running or how to access it. I'm looking for a system where it can play digital copies of DVD's (VOB, etc.) from a NAS/Network drive. I'd also like to have the system separate Movies from TV Shows (and preferably allow me to specify that TV Shows that are from a DVD are to be in the TV Shows section ... Boxee would put the TV Shows from DVD into the Movies section) (examples are in the images below). I'd like it to have the DVD Movie Cover (as shown in the image below), rather than a file tree, for both the Movies & TV Shows. The main purpose of the system (box) would be to play my local content over the network. I do have some Blu-Ray DVD's that haven't been copied yet, so a system that can play those and possibly 4K DVD's at a later date would be nice. Boxes/mini pc's/single board pc's I've seen mentioned are: SMXQ Box ASUS Media Streamer QDroid-XU4 Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Tinker Board (ASUS) Intel NUC WD TV Live Hub Plus Mini X8-H Mac Mini Zidoo Z1000 Micca TV Media Player Orange Pi 3 Apple Pile Panda Latte (or Latte Panda) Gigatron TTL Android TV Box NVIDIA Shield Bean Canyon NUC Mini ITX Nano Pi M4 Rock Pi Rock Pro 64 Rock 64 What options would work best for my project, and what system (raspian, etc.) would be best?

I am a streamer on Twitch, and I stream primarily Fortnite, just to give readers a perspective of what I do on my system. (I stream and play on one system, no streaming PC) Stream linked at the end for an idea of my quality and if you want to talk to me live, I would be delighted! I stream at 720p and at 60fps I have also heard that using the exact same RAM is important because it can be very finicky when using 2+ ram sticks with any variations. Is this true? My system supports 64gb RAM, and since it is a powerful computer by today's standards, I am going to be using this system for a very long time. Should I go immediately to 2x16gb of ram as my upgrade? This is where I decide what I need to fit my streaming needs, any editing needs I may have, gaming needs, and any needs that I will have in the future. So is the higher frequency ram worth it for me. (Yes, I have watched the Linus Tech Tip video on RAM speed, and it was fantastic as his videos always are, but I am looking for further, more personalized insight. I take it from his video that I would want to purchase a maximum of 3200 MHz, even though my motherboard supports 4000 Mhz?) Also, should I overclock my CPU to 5 Ghz? (I have liquid cooling.) Would this hurt my CPU in any way even with adequate cooling, and would it make a big enough difference in performance to sacrifice any of my CPU's lifetime? Am I looking to upgrade the wrong things all together? This is my first performance setup, and I am looking to further my technical knowledge! Thanks for checking out my topic! NOTE: I know not all parts of my system listed are necessary to know, I list them anyways to give a full perspective on my situation. My system: Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z370-P Processor: i7 8700k (3.70 Ghz) GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 1080 Ti 11 GB GDDR5X RAM: 16 GB DDR4 (2666 MHz) (8 GB x 2) Cooling: Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite ML120L RGB AIO OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Power Supply: 700W Case: COUGAR Panzer-G (3 x 120 mm LED fans) (Listed for any sense of air flow needed) Storage: 240 GB 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD Network: Ethernet 10/100/1000Mbps Wireless AC600 <Link Removed>

Hello there, I have a GTX 1070, a view sonic monitor (able to operate at 75hz) and an Elgato HD60, Sometimes when my PC turns on (when they are all connected (so gpu->elgato->monitor)) my monitor would act wired random lines would show up (a lot like static,) I would unplug and re-plug my HDMI (elgato, and power) then it would return to normal, one day (today) I opened it up and it had this wired effect like your looking from top of a fire (or hot surface) and you see things a little off (kind of like moving) so I decided to find a fix and decided to plug my elgato into its own HDMI port and the Display into its own HDMI port. I found a solution, to open up NVIDIA Control Panel and under multiple displays, clone my monitor, then go under adjust desktop size and position to set them to different refresh rates (both at 1080p for me) the guide, said to set No scaling and GPU, and for both "monitors" and they both worked, so here is my first question whats the difference if I kept Aspect Ratio vs No scaling? Second, Would this put more load on my GPU? Finally, is there a better solution or is there a problem with any of my equipment? (it's worth noting that I had a noticeable amount of desync (like I would need a G-Sync monitor to solve) towards the bottom of my screen, when I had them all plunged in together) <--will this problem be solved now? is it also normal for chrome to take a second to adjust (from full screen to 1/2 screen for example) or is that just me? Hi, so my friend is looking for a new PC since his FX PC is obviously outdated and underpowered for streaming on Twitch. I was tasked with creating a parts list for him, he specifically asked for a Ryzen build, with everything else in my hands. I've created this list below for him, I think it's typical of a PC user and particularly a streamer. • His budget is unlimited but he said to stay reasonable in what parts to pick. • I chose an RX graphics card but he said he doesn't mind. • This build is for gaming & streaming, with music work in between • He won't be building a new PC until late-2018 to 2019 CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3GHz 8-Core Processor ($210.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: ASRock - AB350 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($54.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($102.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($99.99 @ Samsung) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($37.09 @ Newegg Marketplace) Video Card: Asus - Radeon RX 570 4GB ROG STRIX Video Card ($219.99 @ Newegg) Case: NZXT - S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: Corsair - CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Amazon) Total: $836.01 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-07-17 13:44 EDT-0400 URL: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/X2GJtg

So I'm thinking about buying either astro A50 or A40, I'm also planning and buying a blue yeti microphone, and possibly a gaming chair. What headset should I buy and what recording software/card should I buy? Thanks for your help!

Joshua as he hears about the police at the door "Cops are here, one second." RuneScape 2007 and Clash of Clans streamer Koopatroopa787 (Joshua Peters) was streaming some questing when he was told there was a knock on the door. His ten year old brother had opened the door to ten SWAT team members with assault rifles. I like that the SWAT team members understood as soon as this was said. It's good when people in this position have this sort of context. This is really pathetic. Doxxing is bad enough, but SWATting is downright dangerous. I'm very glad that nobody was hurt (phyiscally) in this and I am really glad that even with the legitimate sounding call, the SWAT team handled it without violence. I imagine that SWATting isn't a normal occurance for them. I hope that whoever is responsible for this gets an appropriate sentence.
