So, i want to finaly build my setup and one day i had an idea - what if i could somehow hide the body of my laptop behind the monitor that i will be using. And so, i started digging the internet but couldnt find anything. Abosuletly nothing. So maybe some you saw simething, that could possibly be mounted on VESA stand, and can hold the laptop sideways?

I’m looking to make a new monitor setup, including 3 of the exact same monitor. I’m looking for 144hz, and 24 inches in size and I’d like a triple monitor arm to clamp to my desk. I’d prefer more well known makes of monitor, like AOC, MSI, Acer ect… however if there is a more unknown brand that has good recommendations then I’m open to that too. Any recommendations would be appreciated. My budget is no more then £200 per monitor ($260 USD / €240) Thanks!

purchased a new monitor and now that i have 2 i want to put them on a dual monitor arm but they only seem to be vesa compliant where as both my monitors dont mount to theirs stand with vesa its sort of like a slides on at the top and clips at the bottom, to rremove the screen you have to press a button in and tilt. my question is can you find arms with this type of mount as i dont think vesa will fit, anyone got a solution?

Several months ago, I posted about looking for a new monitor. After sitting on the idea for a while, I found one that seemed to tick every box I had (minus the curve, but that is a budget issue). I'm setting it up for work-flow purpose (8 or more hours of programming every day). That being said, I'm going for something like the picture I have attached below. Long story short, does anyone have any recommendations for a two-arm monitor stand that will allow me to adjust each monitor individually vertically and horizontally that wont break the bank? It looks like I need a heavy duty version because on the MSI spec page, it says the shipping weight is 30.5lbs and I cant imagine a lot of that is actual packaging. Most stands I seem to be finding cap out at 19.5lbs to 23lbs. Important note: I need one that can sit on a table top. The type that clamps to the edge of a desk will not work with my setup since I use a corner desk. Link to the monitor I bought: https://www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-MPG341QR Thanks in advance for all the help, this is the first time I'm upgrading my peripherals since I got into tech in 2017.

Maybe the most overkill VESA accessory for a Portable Monitor?
JackSCloud posted a topic in Displays
New to the forum. Watching LTT youtube for years. A little bit background about myself: Electrical Engineer in the states that travels from work site to work site frequently. Has a ThinkPad E15 Gen2 issued by my current employer. I always enjoy working with 2 monitors when possible. So I started looking up cheap 15.6" portable USB-C monitors on Aliexpress. I end up got one for around $80. Nothing fancy, 1080p and supports single USB-C connection for both Video and power supply. The seller claims that the monitor supports reverse charging to my laptop if connected with the power brick came with my laptop. This is one of the most important feature for me. I don't want to connect seperate HDMI, USB power cable every time when I need to use the monitor. A signle USB-C cable solution is optimal for people processing cheap laptop that only came with one USBC/TB port and also need it for charging. Anyway. The monitor works ok for its major functions, the panel seemed to be even better then the 300nits junk came with my ThinkPad. But I don't like the cheap cover type stand that came with it, you know, like those cover stands for ipads. Not very stable, need a good surface, sometime would allow the monitor to slip etc. I want a foldable, stable, rigid stand for my cheap portable monitor, and it better looks cool! I found nothing existing based on these search criteria. Luckly, My monitor happens to have a VESA75 M4 bolt pattern at the back. So I can build one myself. First thing first, I chose to use some kind of friction hinge (Similar to the hinge in your laptop) to build any part of my stand that requires rotation. I found the following on Aliexpress, seemed to be easy to work with and has a lot of stiffness to keep my monitor stand straight. Then I fired up Fusion360 to create a design based on using 4 of these hinges. I chose to designed the components so that they can easly be laser cut out of 3 mm stainless steel or aluminum plates. Of course some features require drilling and tapping, and even CNC milling. The design will be mostly flat and stays within the projection footprint when folded behind my monitor. But will also unfold and become a more typical stand. People with sharp physics instinct probably already noticed that the base of the this stand is a bit too short to support the monitor from tilting in some daily angles. So I change the base design a little bit. Note that the part that will be on the front side of the monitor has been extended. This change of base design will make the overall footprint expand out of the projection area of the monitor when folded. Hense became less foldable and ugly. So I had to change the design of the VESA mount and center supporting bar. This also created some room of adaptability for different size portable monitors if needed. I also designed different size center support bars trying to accommodate different size monitors. I have sent drawings out for fabrication. If folks are interested in my little project I will keep posting updates. ----------------------------------------------------------------11/11/2022 Update---------------------------------------------------------------- The parts showed up in a DHL package yesterday. Of course being so cheap they had to miss a few features... They forgot to Drill and tap all the M2.5x0.45 mini screw holes! So I had to do it with a hand drill. I also had to file the Radius feature on the center support bar. But after all that. The thing assembles fine. -
I'm looking for a support bracket or stand for a 980 HOF h20 waterblock. This is a black and white themed build. I need something that looks decent and is not to expensive. I live in Canada so links from Amazon.com most of the time they will not ship it would half to be from Amazon.ca .. I have no problems ordering from anywhere in the states. Would love to hear some recommendations. I do plan upgrading gpus in the near future but this 980 will be going in my other comp.

Hello Is there a dual monitor stand that is easy to adjust the positions? I center my chair on one of the monitors with the other monitor on the right, but I want to be able to easily change which one is centered in front of me by just swinging them over/under each other. thanks

Hey all, Just curious on what people have there Air 540 sitting on? I got a new desk and unfortunately I can't fit my air 540 on the desk itself.. Just looking to see any ideas people have. Just wondering if someone got a nice stand from newegg or amazon that fits it nicely. Doesn't need to be completely level with my desk. Any input would be nice. Thanks.

Hello everyone! On my monitor, there is an opening, or hole, on the neck/stand. I can fit some cables through it, but some are just too big. This looks perfect for my keyboard cable. In my picture, I noticed a (very) slightly lose rectangle behind the hole. As you can see, the cables go under it. If I were to remove this rectangle, I could find the cable I need through it. After, I can place it back on. Am I able to remove the rectangle, or will it break? By the way, the keyboard I am using is the Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire. In the conversion of the two USB cables, there is a fat block. If I can fit it through this stricture in the monitor stand, then it will fit. The rest of the cable fits through perfect, so I can place the rectangle back on once I get the fat block out. Thanks for the help guys!

Good afternoon everyone, I have one 23'' monitor on the left, one 34'' monitor in the middle and one 23'' monitor on the right. The one in the middle is the Acer Predator X34 and the ones on each sides are Asus VP239H-P. Now my problem is that I made my researches on the web to find a triple monitor stand that would fit all three of them and I couldn't find anything, most of them barely holds up to 32'' monitors. I am also worried that all three of the monitors wouldn't fit on the stand. What do you guys have to suggest ? I really want to mount them, that would allow me to have more space on the desk and of course make it look much cleaner. Thanks, Pascal

http://openbenchtable.com/community/3d-printable-vertical-stand/ Well, this is pretty straightforward - that benchtable wasn't really stable in a vertical position with all the hardware, but 3d-printers to the rescue! Poor Max should never be subjected to the stress of falling motherboards again

I have a Blue Yeti and I am looking to get an arm stand for my desk. I'm looking to use a Blue Radius II mount and I also want to use the arm to hold my headphones (HyperX Cloud Revolvers). So, what would fit this description?

My laptop runs pretty cool, but I find it hard to look down at it all the time(My neck hurts). I have been looking for this for a while and I couldn't find much, there are stands but I would like something that actually does something beneficial. Something tall like at least 5 cm tall. I looked into having EGPUs for my laptop to sit on but I don't have a thunderbolt 3. Any help?

Another day, another leak! My thread about the Intel leak got removed because of the video, so this time, I'll have to screenshot you some tweets, and let you find the video online.... This stand will come out at the end of the month, and it's technically under NDA. But Corsair did a mistake and showed it at Dreamhack Montreal 2017. Due to their mistake, they told us that we could talk about it.... so here it is! RGB stand, seems in aluminium and plastic witha rubber base. USB 3.0 in, 2x usb 3.0 out + 3.5mm out. That means there is a DAC inside. No idea about the price, but it's really well made and good looking! Sorry for the poor video quality we only have a phone and a gimbal. Here are the pictures!

Hey guys, I was looking through a lot of older posts on here about the Blue Yeti; I bought one for streaming purposes and I love using it, however the quality on the actual unit is not the best because I have it placed so far away from me, I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a microphone arm for this monster of a product. Alot of reviews on products are very back and forth on if it works because of the weight of the Microphone. I am sure this has been posted before and I did look through 3 different pages but I found nothing recent on this subject. I am also looking into a pop filter, I think? The way I will be using my microphone, is going to be to the left of my head about a foot or less away from me, I am not sure if I should be getting a pop filter or a cover that sits ontop of the microphone head and covers all sides. I hear the yeti is very sensitive and I am not sure what I should be looking for when it comes to that. I have no idea if I am using the proper terminology so I will be overly clear about this; This is what I have been looking for when it comes to "mic arms": https://www.amazon.ca/Earamble-Microphone-Professional-Suspension-Adjustable/dp/B06VX1ZW2M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1508124913&sr=8-2&keywords=blue+yeti+mic+arm I also see Shock Mounts; but I have no idea what they are for: https://www.amazon.ca/Blue-Microphones-RADIUS-II-Microphone-Shock/dp/B00TTQLA50/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1508124954&sr=1-1&keywords=blue+yeti+mic+shock+mount There are these pop filters: https://www.amazon.ca/Neewer-Studio-Microphone-Filter-Shield/dp/B00ACFAULC/ref=pd_bxgy_267_img_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P91KD31FCM0VF3YTRV05 But I am wondering if these are better for my use, or if quality will be lower with them: https://www.amazon.ca/Mudder-Large-Windscreen-Technica-Microphones/dp/B01EMUQ08O/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1508125017&sr=1-1&keywords=Blue+Yeti+Mic+cover Ideally I think I will be hanging the microphone upside down depending on the length of the arm, but I have very little knowledge on this; any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

So I previously made a headphone stand with just a 2 right angle bracket, but it looked tacky and tended to leave the foam in the centre flattened out (Where all the weight was being applied as it hanged). So I decided to finally redo it into something nicer and finally did it and came out nice Things needed Two Right angle corner bracket Small piece of a 4 inch PVC pipe (What I used) OR Thick wire OR Something equivalent Rubber pipe insulation Tools needed Hot glue (Needed) Hack Saw for sawing pipe (Optional, depending on what you went with) Insulation tape or spray paint in a colour of your choice To begin with I taped together both the bracket into a square so that I able to hang it below my desk. (I later used black insulation tape , transparent one shown here) The semi circle piece of pipe that was cut. You could use anything else hard and bendable as well, a curved twig would do too. I cut of a piece of around 15cm of the rubber pipe insulation and inserted it into the PVC pipe I cut earlier, after inserting it I closed both ends with hot glue. This is surprisingly quite soft hence perfect to be used as a foam padding. Now it's finally time to put them together. I removed some of the foam padding from below the center so that the pvc pipe could make contact with the bracket in order to put them together with hot glue Covered the bottom with some more foam and keep in mind you won't be seeing this as it's only visible from below After sliding in another piece of foam in front of the other one, all there was left was to glue them all in place. All there is left is either screw it into the desk or just using hot glue again. You might think it would come off in time but it doesn't, it's pretty sturdy (I have been using the previous design that way for years now)

I recently swapped desks to an IKEA Alex for the cable management drawer thing at the back, and I have 3 Asus PG279Q monitors. I am looking for a way to put these on my desk without blocking the slot into the drawer. It's ok if it can't open when the monitors are mounted, I just need access to the routing slot. Anyone know of any good monitor stands or mounts for this situation?

I had an idea for a headphone stand that fits into the cd drive bay so I made a 3d model on solidworks and had it printed. It's not perfect, but it's my first time using 3d printing and I'm pretty proud of how it came out. The idea came about because I didn't want to waste desk real estate on a stand, and I'm not allowed to screw holes into the walls of my apartment. Let me know what you guys think

I'm looking to find a cheaper alternative to the RODE PSA1 that will hold both the Blue Yeti as well as the Radius II mount. So, any good alternatives for this problem?
-
So the current monitor stand, I am mostly happy with, the only issue I have is it's too "loose". I mean that the swivel mount that attatches to the back of each monitor can rotate every which way. Is there a monitor stand that has a locking mechanism on the monitor vesa mount point so that I know the monitor is set to straight on as opposed to tilted slightly or something? This isn't something say a level could fix because once I would get it straight on, a bump on my desk or my new kitten would cause the monitor to rotate, so preferably one with a set locking mechanism. Desk mounted or sitting, no preference there. Must be able to support a 27 inch monitor and a 21 inch monitor. Thanks for any help.

So I've been looking for monitor stands and I came across this stand. Everything looks okay if I were to mount my 24 inch monitors (One is a BenqRH25HM or something like that it's discontinued, and the AOC 2460PF) But my only fears are that it will flex the particle board desk I'm clamping it on to and the orientation of the monitors won't be the way I want it to be. The best way I can show this is that the monitors positions should be like the "preferred" image but not like the second. I'm unaware if I can manipulate the arms as I please to get this configuration *Edit: The lines are the monitors and I think I came to a realization still unsure.
