A lot of people are talking about this on TikTok, and I wanted a different perspective to be shared to me maybe they are right but people are saying it’s coming in 2023 or in a few years or a decade. i’m just not seeing any consistencies, and want a straight answer, and not have 20 different answers,

Hey everyone. What kind of hardware (CPU, RAM?, ...) is in satellite for e.g. TV signal or internet signal like from StarLink? Do they have custom made CPUs for satellites? How does the cooling work? Or is space cold enough for cooling? Although you need matter to take the heat away and there is less dense matter where satellites are... So many questions...

Hello, I today installed the August Security Patch on Nokia 6.1 Plus and since then the "System" in my phone is taking almost 13gb of space unlike before where it was only 8gb if I remember correctly. Is there any way to fix it without doing a reset?

I'm building a new PC and I wanted to know what PSU should I get. I was thinking of getting a RMx Series™ RM1000x, because my GPU is a MSI suprim x 3090 with a 5950x. My mobo is a ASUS Dark hero. The only thing I'm mostly worried about not having enough pin connectors because it takes 3x8pin connectors for the GPU and my CPU connector is an 8+4. Right now I only have a 1 hard drive but later down the road I want to add some Solid State Drives. So space is my biggest concerned.

Hi Okey,i bought the game and wanted to install it,because of game optimization and game itself i must download it on my ssd(i have ssd and he is C,hdd is D)and i dont want to take so much space cus my os is on it.I had like 140+ GB on ssd,and that game is showing it is taking about 40gb,and i got into steam files, and i see there is folder,in steamapps, named "downloading" and "common".I ussualy saw that in common, there are my games, but now i see empty folder of my game (arma3),and in dowloading there is shosing 40gb taken, but i just clicked install and paused it when it started, just to get game in libary more affordable. Now how i see,it will double take my space,it is way more then 40gb,my C disk is about 97gb now... Any help,or im missing arma is wasting more? How much space i can left on c? SSD 240gb

Hey Everyone so I have an unfortunate question to ask you. Me and my friend completed my first PC build yesterday. Well unfortunately being the idiot I am I got a huge CPU cooler (Noctua NH-D15 sso2 type D) not realizing quite how big it is. I'm using an MSI Pro B460M Pro Micro ATX board. I'm sure you can see where this is going. Well my GPU is right up on my CPU cooler (I mean very close like not sliding a piece of paper in there close). Now none of my parts are overclocked in anyway, I ran The Witcher 3 on ultra in 1080p (1080 is as high as I can currently go) with full Lighting settings for over 2 hours and it never got hotter than 75 degrees Celsius, and finally I'm waiting on a delivery tomorrow to connect the rest of my fans to my PSU. In total I will have 5 case fans running when the last 3 are connected to my PSU. Airflow goes from the two 140mms in front to one 120mm in the back and 2 120mm fans in the top when all are on. My question is this will this damage my components or cause problems and should I shut this computer down until I can afford a full size ATX motherboard like the MSI Z490 I wanted to get but was out of my price range. Thank you for reading my long description and I hope to hear back. Eunji's EP, The Space, features her next exploration into her solo career, with her new title track, The Spring, a ballad made for thinking about the season of Spring. I am a huge fan of Eunji due to her amazing voice, and I put Eunji as South Korea's #1 vocalist. Her voice is also unique and soothing with a cool tone to it. I can't wait to listen to this EP and share my thoughts on each song. I have chosen to leave out the piano version of The Spring due to it being relatively the same as the original mix. 0:00 - Absolutely beautiful beginning to the song with some windchimes and a warm guitar to bring the atmosphere to the listener's ears. 0:20 - Eunji's vocals effortlessly flow into the song, with the background guitar giving her vocals some body and warmth. She has an absolutely beautiful voice. 0:40 - The background starts to pick up a lot more here which anticipates the chorus to be a sweet release. Eunji's vocals remain front and center, with the background accordion still flowing through the song. The gentle "oooo" vocals underneath give Eunji's vocals priority and elevate the character of the song in this section. 1:02 - The beautiful, melodic, and soothing mix of accordion, guitar, delicate claps, and of course Eunji's warm and inviting vocals create this absolutely magnificent chorus. The subvocals also give Eunji's main vocals some flair and body to stand out even further from the background composition. 1:45 - The guitar returns here with a light piano, whilst still giving Eunji's vocals the front of the stage for an amazing, soothing rhythmic second verse. 2:30 - This second verse gives even more soul and tone to Eunji's vocals, going a higher register than the first chorus whilst also increasing the tone for the accordion, interestingly keeping the guitar at a more floored tone. This is a beautiful elavation from the first chorus. 2:50 - The simple composition of the guitars to give Eunji's vocals some flow and body is an excellent choice here. Eunji's vocals are amazingly well presented and makes the listener appreciate her talent a lot more. 0:22 - Eunji's vocals really pop here combined with the simple kickdrum and the guitar strokes. Jineon's warm, husky vocals contrast Eunji's heavenly soft vocals in an amazing way here. Especially when they harmonize. 1:03 - The harmony between Eunji and Jineon is so beautiful, especially when the balld here is so muted on the background composition, only having a simple guitar strum and some minor background harmonies to give the vocals some more body. 2:08 - This enhanced chorus is so beautiful with the mirrored harmony of the two vocalist, again with the simple background composition. 3:00 - This beautiful, simple humming is given so much body with the undertone and once again with the simple guitar strumming. This is such a classic ballad that accentuates the talent from Eunji and Jineon. 0:15 - This faster-paced start begins with an interesting electric guitar with some higher-toned beats and of course Eunji's vocals in the front. 0:45 - A drum is introduced here which is interesting as it accompanies that electric guitar, even though this song has a ballad feel to it. Eunji's vocals only promote the ballad side which is an interesting contract to the otherwise rock-inspired background instrumentals composition. 1:00 - The rock-inspired instrumentals effortlessly accompany the beautiful vocals of Eunji somehow, it's a really interesting contrast. 2:52 - This acapella with the muted instrumentals is an interesting change from the original cues of the song, Eunji's vocals are so beautiful here as she reaches the high note. The song really makes us focus on her vocals a lot here, and re-introduces the instrumentals as she reaches the climax of her high notes. 0:20 - The simple acoustic guitar strumming combined with Eunji's soft vocals creates a soft, calm atmosphere that is so comfortable to listen to. 0:48 - An electric guitar is introduced here to elevate the composition, as well as a few violins to further accompany Eunji's vocals. It's a beautiful composition that elevates Eunji's vocals. 1:35 - The background composition here is very orchestra-like especially when accompanying Eunji's beautiful vocals. It's almost theatre-like. 2:05 - The whole theatre vibe is further accentuated here with the beautiful mix of guitars and violins to side by Eunji's beautiful and powerful vocals. 2:58 - Eunji's power vocals shine here with the background elevating her voice a lot to the ceiling, it's a beautiful and powerful composition. Eunji did not disappoint with this EP. All the songs on it are absolutely beautiful to listen to, her vocals always take the center of the stage with the instrumentals, no matter how intense, are always second to her calming, soothing voice. My favorite song of the album is The Spring, I absolutely love the calm composition and the way she sings it really does make me think about the glories of the season Spring and everything about it. A very soothing song indeed. I also particularly like First Farewell for the interesting harmony between Eunji and Jineon. Their voices are so unique and contrast each other nicely, which creates a nice divide and beautiful harmony at the same time. This combined with the simple guitar instrumental makes First Farewell a beautifully constructed song. I love this album so much, I can tell Eunji gave this album so much love and effort and it shows in the quality of each song. Eunji is such a national treasure.

Hi all, I was hoping you could help me figure out where to put my fans for the best airflow, since I have a few unorthodox requirements for placement. - My case is the Meshify C - I have an h100i AIO, which blocks the RAM slots when mounted on top, so the AIO has to go on front. - The AIO has 2x120mm MLs - Other fans I have are 1x120mm LL, and 2x140mm LL - I'd like the lighting to look nice, but of course that's secondary to good airflow With these requirements, I've developed a weird sort of arrangement. I decided to use the 140mm fans for intake due to volume, and the only space I could mount them was from the top, so I have intake on the top. Then to balance, I have the 120mm LL on the rear and the 120mm MLs on the front radiator, both exhausting. So I sort of have a intake on top, exhaust split on both sides arrangement. I know this is unorthodox, though, and I'm not sure about how well it'll work. Any other ideas, such as maybe using 140's for exhaust and intaking on both sides? I'm hoping to retain a fairly balanced, positive pressure at rest setup, taking into account the fact that the AIO fans might not be running all the time but max out at higher RPM than the LL's. Thanks!

Hi, I have windows installed on a SSD. Until last week it had almost 110GB free (of 210). Then I had this situation I plugged 2smartphones to recharge and to copy some documents. there was some error and now my PC neither detects the old I had connected hundreds of times nor the newer one. I read, that error wont go unless u 1) edit some (no idea what files), 2) reinstall everything or 3) do some recovery system to go to last working config. I tried the 3rd step which seemed very easy. It was almost done when I got an error. windows restarted and said nothing had changed. Then, some days later I plugged an old usb-memory to copy those files just to remember it probably was infected. I first had an error but then could copy all files needed in it. Now as I wanted to copy some more files, I see with horror that the SSD has only 10GB space free (I havent installed anything this last days). virus? recovery system error? both? some 3d thing? What should I do? P.S: I selected all folders on the SSD and they sum 48 gb. how to know what the other 150+ GB are?

Hello there, I'm in the process of nailing down a spec for a watercooling build, and I wanted to get some more experienced water-coolers perspectives on this: Considering I will likely be having a 280mm radiator (45mm thick) at the top of the case with fans, and no rear fan. At the front - would you put a: 1) A Thin 26mm thick, 240mm radiator sandwiched by 4 x 120mm fans or 2) A Thicker 38mm thick, 240mm radiator with 2 x 120mm fans on one side? My initial thoughts are: Option 1 would provide better all-round cooling of things like the motherboard components due to higher airflow, however potentially less cooling compared to Option 2 for the CPU and GPU. and Option 2 could provide better cooling of the CPU and GPU at the expense of cooling to other components like the motherboard. What do you think? do you have a better idea? The computers basic components: - Intel i7-6700K - MSI Z170 Mortar Motherboard - EVGA GTX 1070 FTW - Phanteks Enthoo Evolv mATX case Other conisderations - All fans involved are Static Pressure - CPU and GPU will have mild overclocks - The PC is aimed to be quiet - The case can only support a MAX. 240mm radiator at the front

I have got all my pieces gathered and most of my parts installed, but have gotten stuck. I am trying to figure out where to put my pump and reservoir, the spot i was originally planing on is too small at two different points by about 1/8th of an inch. I would love to hear everyones thoughts and ideas. I was planning on a vertical mount behind the fans in front of the PS shroud and GPUs, but the pump part in itself is too big to let the reservore sit flush against the fans and the gap for the res between the GPUs and the fans is literally exactly the same size as the outer diameter of the reservoir. The only place I can really think to put it now, other than outside mounting, is horizontally on top of the ram... Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions and ideas.

Lately I've been noticing that my ssd's storage is almost full and today I took it upon myself to clear some stuff up uninstall useless apps or just the ones I dont use anymore. The thing is my ssd is 250gb (231 usable gb) and it says that I have 60 gb free. When I open it up and calculate every thing apart from both Program Files folders, Windows and Users, it's only 1gb. Then there's the program files that occupie 8 and 61, as expected. But then there's users that is 53gb! Yet when I open it up (and open the folder with my name), and select everything its only 22gb. I suppose that there are files I cant see with the explorer but is there anyway I can delete them or download a program to see them? Yes Im am farely new to Windows and there are still some things that I dont quite get... Another quick question I have is if in "Programs and Features" there is a way to see on what hard drive they are installed on? Thanks in advanced!

ssd SSD will be $$D ( significantly pricey) soon! SSHD's market?
Guest posted a topic in Storage Devices
The price of SSD will get higher because of the shortage of NAND gate. Actually, who are the prime makers of these NAND gates? As SSD's market will crunch a little bit instead of having a upward graphical chart, is it possible that SSHD could have it's chance? Such as Seagate's Firecuda. Though not on the same level but closer to the performance. -
Hello guys, I have recently seen 20 GB of my space get used up by something I cannot account. I tried searching every hidden location and non-hidden ones and the usage doesn't add up: there are 20 GB missing and on a 250 GB SSD, it's non-negligible too. Any of you have any ideas? All help is appreciated. PS: I won't be active for 10 hours or so, I will try to reply to all of you as soon as I can.

The $30M Google Lunar XPRIZE is a global competition to challenge and inspire engineers and entrepreneurs to develop low-cost methods of robotic space exploration. To win, a privately funded team must successfully place a robot on the Moon that explores at least 500 meters and transmits high-definition video and images back to Earth. I came across this and they will fly your name to the moon for less than 10$. They already have booked a rocket to land their rover on moon. Though it would be cool to share .

Hello guys, I just wanted to get a feel for the average desk size in the community and if you have your towers on it or not. I consider my desk as Small, not extra small but fairly small nonetheless: Its a weird modular Sitoca table with keyboard tray underneath the top which is expandable. There's a keyboard tray style tray (wow...) on the side for the tower, mine is a Mastercase pro 5 so it's taking up the whole space on that side tray thing (which is on rails too). Actual usable surface right now for mouse and monitor is 60 cm width and 52 cm depth... yeah I wanna hear about you guys' setups

Hello, I have recently noticed that I have significantly less hard drive space available on my 2 TB exFAT hard drive than I did just recently. Before, Windows said that I was using about 430 GB of space. After downloading a couple of new games, I have noticed that the amount of used space has increased significantly. It now says that I have used 830 GB of space. I know for a fact that the games I downloaded are not 300 GB. Also, selecting everything on the drive and viewing properties for it reveals that I have only used about 450 GB of space, and this is accounting for extra allocation space used by the filesystem. Does anyone have an explanation for this? Any way to get 300 GB back, or have they been sacrificed to the storage gods? Oh and there's a screenshot, in case you wanted to view that.

Not sure if this should be posted here or in "Liquid and Exotic Cooling", or even in "Graphics Cards", so I'll just post it here for now. I've been looking at liquid cooled GPUs, but I don't know if there's a good place to put one in my case (my build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/LBwV3C) as I already have CPU liquid cooling. I know I could fit one in the 280mm fan mount at the top (with 240mm fan mounts), but that would require bad airflow as I'd either have to try to cool the liquid using the hot air inside the case, or have every fan in my case be an input fan, which would be even worse. I could also place it in the 240mm fan mount at the bottom of the case, although I'd have to remove the SSD cage and bottom HDD cage in order to do that, which would be somewhat of a hassle considering I have an SSD in the SSD cage, but it would allow me to take cool air from underneath the case to cool the liquid and then continue to output the heat through the 200mm fan at the top of my case. What would be the best option for me?

MIT has a robotic platform that has been in the works since 2011 and can 3D print a 12 foot high structure in 14 hours. https://techcrunch.com/2017/04/27/mits-giant-mobile-3d-printer-can-build-a-building-in-14-hours-and-some-day-it-may-be-headed-to-mars/ This is actually a really neat video and the article notes that according to MIT this is a platform and not a 3D printer since Dr. Keating envisions that this will have several different platforms working in tandem to create a structure, including having some platforms digging, milling and printing. One of the limitations that I can see with this is maintaining the raw materials for it to construct with as well as the size and scale of the structures, but it could be a great technology for building more rigid structures in a harsh environment or to build temporary rigid structures in a disaster zone.

Source: http://www.sciencealert.com/here-s-how-and-when-nasa-will-finally-destroy-cassini This move, as unfortunate and sad as it is, must be done. Cassini has discovered an ocean of salt water in one of Saturn's moons, Enceladus. Researchers think that there may be life on that moon, so therefore they chose to crash Cassini into Saturn before it runs out of fuel and may crash into Enceladus. But it is not yet the end of Cassini, the plan is to gather as much data as possible until the end at September of this year, Cassini will give us a further look at Saturn's south and north poles, with their raging hurricanes, furthermore, it will measure the size of it's rings, and lastly, it will measure the composition of Saturn's atmosphere and broadcast it back to earth.
