I would just like to post this here as it seems to be the best place to post it. Anyone in South Africa that's planning to buy something from the LTTStore, just be aware that the shipping will be handled by the National Post Office once it's in South Africa. I purchased a mousepad, shipping price was more than the mousepad and still ended up with the SA Postal Office Parcel been stuck in Johannesburg (200km away from destination) for just over 2 weeks, but as an South African you know this is only the start of my wait... I don't really expect to receive my item anymore and I'm not blaming LTTStore as there's no way for them to have known what the state of our Postal Services shipping is (don't plan on contacting lttstore support).. Its a donation to Linus Media Group for the 100's of hours of entertainment they have given me! Wait till we can choose something like DHL or UPS, they take about a week from the US/Canada. For anyone that wants some context: The SA Postal Services, are known to take between 3-6months to deliver and that's only if you get real lucky. Items tend to go Missing, Stolen, Lost or delivered to someone else which they then ignore if you contest it. Between me and 3 friends over the last 5 years have had 9 packages end up with the SA Postal Services and only 3 ever arrived, where 1 arrived 4 months after arriving in SA and the other 2 took 6 and 11 months. This has been a problem before the Covid delays even so I'm not to hopeful

Long story short, i need to find a capture card that will allow me to record 4k content at 60Hz to my computer. I use to use Shadow play before Nvdia broke it by releasing new Nvidia Experience and i have been trying out other software based recorders but they all make my game lose frames and the playback itself is terrible with stuttering and such. SO I just wanna get my hands on a 4K capture card to record game play at 60Hz because everything else just isn't working. any recommended cards out there that are available in the South African market?? i dont have the time to wait for international shipping and customs is a bitch down here.

Hi I live in South Africa and parts and everything here is much more expensive than in USA and shipping on USA sites is just as much as the parts I'm trying to buy. If someone can help by suggesting sites or ship with their stuff or help pay for shipping it would be great

I am looking to buy a wireless headset. First off I live in South Africa and pricing is just a mess here. I have a budget of around R 1500 (R1500 is roughly 100 USD) but can go up to R 1900. The top tech store here is wootware (http://www.wootware.co.za/computer-hardware/speakers-headsets-mics?dir=asc&order=price) and rebeltech (https://www.rebeltech.co.za/83-headsets?id_category=83&n=100). It seems that I am limited to two options, the corsair void wireless and the corsair h2100. I am interested in a pair of wireless headphones due to the fact that when I work I often spend long hours in front of the computer, occasionally moving away from it to look at class notes. I do this often enough that my current headphone's cable is starting to annoy me. I have seen several reviews for each pair online, but can't seem to find anything that compares the two. I have heard from some users that the h2100 has a bad sound quality while others said that it is fantastic. For the void wireless, some users say that it is uncomfortable when wearing the headset for a couple of hours (something that I will definitely do). Could someone maybe please recommend which of these performs best in terms of comfort, sound quality and battery life? (I don't mind disabling or particularly care about RGB)

I want to get a laptop, with decent specs, for a price of $2000 or R30'000 in South Africa. I can buy off amazon and get it shipped here. but there are two main computer sellers in the area. Wootware and Evetech Specs: 1060-1070 Gtx i7.. or Ryzen 7 16Gb DDR4 250Gb SSD & 1TB Harddrive, or just a 500Gb SSD Decent battery life.. 8+ hours, or anywhere in that area. Good screen, 144Hz or 60Hz I havent really ever got a laptop before, but this laptop will have to be carried around a lot, "university" But i also want to use it for heavy gaming and design. I have looked at the msi line up and the Razer blade line up, but nothing jumps out at me, what do you guys think? Thanks Guys!

Hi guys, long time since I've been here I got a dell inspiron 15 3521 at the beginning of the year for university (touch 768p, 4gig ram, i5 3337u and 1tb hard drive) and I have had a laundry list of issues: at first the wifi did not seem to work at all and I would use my phone plugged in as an antenna to get internet of any kind (previous owner swapped the poles of the antenna for shits and gigs), windows 7 corrupted and had to ask our IT service to format it and install windows 10 (works really well and am enjoying more than the windows 7 experience) and the dGPU didnt seem to be working until the windows 10 install. Right now my issue is that the wifi on this laptop kinda sucks. At our campus we have the 2nd fastest connection in the country, a 2 gigabit line distributed to the entire campus through a seamless fast mesh network throughout all the buildings. It maxes out my galaxy s8's wifi capabilities so far as I can tell, it usually gets 450 up and down with 2-12 ping in a crowded area. Laptop however only gets 20 down and up with 150 ping and very very very intermittent connectivity. It will stay connected but I won't be able to google or download anything at all for a few minutes and then it will decide to start working again before the wifi stops again and so forth. What is the best possible options I have for a wifi card that will work with my laptop and where could I get that? I can ship to South Africa through amazon nowadays (it's awesome we can save thousands of rands on laptops and everything, fantastic). Lastly, I am looking at buying a laptop from amazon at the end of the year or early next year as my needs for my course will be greatly higher than having atom and chrome open at the same time. I would love to hear what your opinions are on what are currently ideal laptops for around 800 dollars including the import fees (I can check if there isn't an easy way for anyone who's willing to help to check) sorry for the long post. Budget is flexible but need quad core cpu, 4 ish hours of max load battery, dGPU for pubg or whatever replaces it next year, 8 gigs of ram and either a 256 gig ssd or an m.2 slot and whatever hard drive. thanks in advance for everything!

Hey Guys, I need advice about what I should do to build a basic and cheap gaming PC that will allow me to run standard games like minecraft, CSGO, dota 2, Garry's Mod, and things like that... I currently have a H81M-P32L motherboard with an Intel i5 4460 quad core, with 6 gig DDR3 ram running at a 666.5 MHz (Extremely worried about that) plus a 550 Watt power supply... The worst part yet is I have only ever had this GeForce 210 (205) GPU which is slower than my CPU and motherboard onboard GPU but it takes the strain off of my cores a bit... I want to go into YouTube gaming and Streaming but the problem I have is that I live in South Africa... The most expensive country with little to no income available (Im almost 17)... What should I upgrade 1st because I know that if I buy a new motherboard... I need a cpu and ram with it... and I would like that computer to handle heavily loads without bottlenecking and causing a overall slowness on the computer... But I dont want to waste my money on a gaming PC that I will need to upgrade soon, but with a budget. So if anyone has read all of this and has any thoughts on what to do, please could you help me out... Thanks in advance guys

Greetings everyone I'm looking to get some opinions and reassurances from people who have bought products through Amazon.com who had their products shipped internationally to them. I live in South Africa, and while I've bought online from local stores such as takealot.com, I've never bought from Amazon or internationally before. Some of the concerns I have include: - Extra shipping costs - Safety and risk of shipping (damage, theft) - Import tax In case it's relevant, this is what I plan to purchase: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HVLUR86/ref=nav_timeline_asin?ie=UTF8&psc=1 All experiences welcome Regards Brent

Hi Guy's, So I'm looking at immigrating in the next 3-5 years, I've been doing a lot of research and planning some trips to various places including Vancouver. There may be an opportunity for me to work in Dubai in the next year or so, but I don't plan on being there for much longer than 2 years if I go. I've lived in the UK for 4 years and I'm not really interested in Europe. Out of all the places I've researched Vancouver just sticks out at me, I really like Singapore too which I have visited but Vancouver is perhaps a bit more Western compared to Singapore, despite it being very multicultural, but I really like Asian culture and Asian people in general I guess. I would like to hear from anyone who lives there or been there, good or bad. Yes - I know property is expensive there, 4th highest in the world actually.

I have to make this decision today. I am going to be running games at 1080p on a 60hz monitor. I AM IN SOUTH AFRICA, this usually means prices are at least doubled with graphics cards... Any thoughts would be appreciated

Hi there. I'm from South Africa first my specs i7-3770k 16GB corsair vengeance 1600mhz 2x AMD radeon r9-280x Sound blaster z sound card Corsair H100i stock fans in push Qnix QX2710 @ 96Hz - 110Hz Corsair air carbide 540 So I sit with a BIG issue. My motherboard went faulty and my supplier gave me my money back on it. motherboard was a z77a-g45 thunderbolt. Now the thing is they don't have any z77 motherboards in stock but I believe they might have the following in stock for not to much. http://game.msi.com/product/motherboard/z87-mpower http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75AG43.html now i could get the plain motherboard as the gaming one just sound like marketing gimmick for what I want to do now anyway. This is just temporarily until next chips comes out that will run cooler and overclock a bit better. I could get that and run 1 card or will i be better off with the following i7-4770k/i5-4670k MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming or MSI z87 Mpower. I'm planning on just playing games like BF4 and some future games. I'm just scared future games might actually make use of more threads. I know the 4770k is just the 4670k with hyperthreading on the cpu and might run a bit hotter. So what do you guys thing. is the z87 mpower really worth it or should I go z87-gd65 gaming or maybe just do the quick fix and run with only 1 card and get okish performance but have more money for when new chips comes out. At the moment I'm running the following that I borrowed from work. i7-2600 non k p67a-gd65 Radeon 6670 (my r9-280x is pushing against the sata ports so it won't fit and the case is even to small) So what do you guys suggest? Regards

Today while on Twitch i saw Titanfall, so this got me interested in when it releases here in South Africa and at what price. First i headed over to Origin, searched Titanfall by go no result, so i googled it. To my shock i found out that it has infact been canceled in South Africa. "After conducting recent online tests for Titanfall, we found that the performance rates in South Africa were not as high as we need to guarantee a great experience, so we have decided not to release Titanfall in South Africa at this time" was the only Statement issued by EA as to why they Canceled it. Build Our Titans ZA has since started a petition to get EA to release Titanfall in South Africa saying. "We have been putting up with bad latencies to EU and US for many years in order to enjoy our favourite titles in a multiplayer environment. Please don't take away what might be one of the best FPS titles of the decade, on the pretense that we would not enjoy the experience with a higher latency," To me Build Our Titans ZA has it spot on, South Africans have been putting up with lag in all other games, we have learnt to compensate our gameplay for lag, so therefore give us the choice. http://www.mweb.co.za/games/ViewNewsArticle/tabid/2549/Article/12005/UPDATED-Titanfall-cancelled-in-South-Africa.aspx http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/08/titanfall-not-coming-to-south-africa http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/132812-Titanfall-Fans-In-South-Africa-Ask-EA-To-Let-Them-Play

Recently I attended The rAge Expo which is a computer, console gaming and hardware expo over here in South Africa hosted normally on the first weekend in October. One of the stands which was on my list to visit was the Microsoft stand, where the 2 new Xbox "Xbone" Ones were on show to play. One Xbox had a demo of Forza 5 running while the other Xbox had Ryse: Son of Rome demo. While the ques where long to play the new attractions, I decided to try get some juicy details from the employees on the new console with regards to South Africa and other matters. It is here where i learnt a very interesting fact that the console will only arrive in South Africa in 2014 and the exact date was under NDA. I asked why the delay in arrival, the employee relied that although the console is not region locked any more the South Africa authorities would not allow the console to be sold in the country till the voice command system and console can be operated in ALL 11 Official languages hence the delay in arrival date. Personally i find this action extremely stupid on behalf of the South Africa authorities. The next interesting fact was when i asked about the sports overlay function and whether there is any benefit to me in South Africa, the employee replied that South Africa will be receiving that functionality for the popular sport how ever he couldn't say which ones. The guess i came to is that Rugby such as the Super Rugby or Currie Cup will receive this functionally as well as the local soccer events (PSL). I was also excited to get my hands on the new control since the original Xbox 360 controller was one of the best controllers i have ever use. The new controller is slightly smaller that the last one and features new trigger buttons on the back both of the changes feel very nice for me. The remote still uses a removable battery pack which can either be a lithium ion battery pack or can use AA or AAA (Not sure which). The graphics while watching people play Forza 5 was very good looking, leaps ahead of the out going 360.
