Hi all, I'm currently looking to get smth for my living room, however, the way it is designed it doesnt allow for any floor speakers or wall mounted. I was thinking into getting cealing speakers as i have drywall ceilling so it would be the best option for creating smth like 5.1 or 7.1. Please advise me for best scenerios or actual brands and systems. Thank you in advance.

Not sure if this is the right subforum, but its still tech related and that's partially what i need help with. I have a 2022 Impreza Sport hatchback, and I was looking for something that would improve the audio setup. It has a good sound to start, but when listening to things like heavy metal, the heavy and constant bass/low notes tend to mush together with everything else, and I was wondering if there was a small subwoofer or something that I could redirect the lower notes to. I don't know much about audio at all, so if there's a better solution than that, let me know. IDK if this is important or not, but I bought the car new with all the warranties, so something that would potentially void that would probably be off the table. I also don't want to spend a crazy amount of money. Any help/recommendations are appreciated, thanks!

hello all, I have this issue that does not wanna be fixed, I have a GoXLR mixer that I use and it contains a Music Channel that I route my deezer (music) app to, every time I reboot it defaults back to the main sound channel and not the music channel. this has nothing to do with the mixer but windows itself: every time I boot it would state the same channels but will still play in the system main channel till I change to a different channel and back to the music channel so it applies. help is appreciated.

I've very recently purchased the MSI MPG A850GF and since I started using it I noticed a weird sound coming from it. Looking it up on the net I found various people with the same issue and their video proof had the exact same sound as mine does. Is that sound normal for this specific PSU? If not should I return it or will it be fine? I don't want it to damage anything as everything is practically brand new and expensive.

So looking to get the "beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO" headphones and confused on whether I should get the 32 OHM or the 80 OHM. I know the 250 OHM you need a proper DAC for it, but what about the 80 OHM version? My motherboard: GIGABYTE B660M DS3H A fairly cheap motherboard I got last year and concerned that the 80 OHM version won't work well without a DAC, should I get the 32 OHM instead? Am I losing in a lot of sound quality by not getting the 80 OHM (and possibly a DAC if needed)? I'm not an expert in audio at all, this is coming from someone who has been using Logitech gaming headphones his whole life.

Hello, so basically on the right side of my headphones, there is a static/crackling noise whenever there's a sound made. This does not happen on the left side. They're currently plugged into the front of the case and I've also plugged them into the back. Here's my realtek settings: https://gyazo.com/5b0405f6bbe1903fabee813f5e6e87fb

Occasionally, I experience audio clips and sudden loss of sound from my speakers. Strangely, my microphone continues to function properly during these episodes. All of my audio devices, including speakers and microphones, are connected to my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) audio interface. Interestingly, when I adjust the buffer size in the Focusrite 2i2 settings, the audio returns to normal. Any solutions? i have everything setup perfectly but it seems that obs is not picking up my system and game sounds even discord when i set the goxlr to chat. i downloaded the GitHub - GoXLR-on-Linux/goxlr-utility: An unofficial GoXLR App just seeing if this app the one i downloaded its the problem and if there is another one that will work better. if you can suggest a better on that would be great. but this sound problem is really making me scratch my head since i cant find a solution anywhere on the internet and contacted obs in discord and they said that there was an the issue is likely upstream of obs which i don't know what that means. just to not im using easy effects and pavucontrol can someone help me. also before i never even had the goxlr hooked up only my mic and obs never even picked up my desktop audio even without the goxlr so i dont know what the problem is and i am kinda new at Linux please help me

Hi all, I recently build my new PC and was testing with some AMD Adrenalin settings. In a video of Jayz it was explained that the auto OC/rage mode in the amd software is okay to enable if you are not willing to manually OC or tweak settings. While testing the auto OC feature I noticed a lot of sound coming from my PC. I recorded it: https://imgur.com/a/861iKS5 I did not hear anything about this being a thing or issue from what I can read on the web. So is this normal or is something wrong? Thanks in advance. The digital volume control built into Windows (10 and 11), does it affect the sound quality? If your device does not have an analog volume knob (potentiometer), does decreasing the Win volume from 100 lower the sound quality? I mean, does it affect the sampling rate (frequency), bit depth, dynamic response, etc? Is it better to use something like Equalizer APO with Peace to control the volume by changing the pre-amplification and holding the Win volume at 100? Let's assume the hardware uses 24bit 48kHz or higher. Modern.

I built the PC in September 2022. Recently when I work on Photoshop and CPU usage is a bit high, suddenly there is a very loud analog CRT tv noise type of noise that comes out for around 10-15 seconds. Then I immediately need to mute all the background music volumes to stop the noise. After 10-15 seconds, this gets fixed. I want to know what is the probable cause of this issue. Please note I only notice this when there is something playing in the background. If there is nothing playing, then there is no noise for that 10-15 seconds period. I also noticed that the noise is proportional to the volume level. If the sound volume is set to high then the noise is higher. If the sound volume is at 0 then no noise is coming. But if I play something in that 10-15 seconds period then I can hear the loud noise again. It is now happening every day and it is super annoying. Hi everyone, I come to you as a desespered man, for months now my PC has been behaving strangely and i don't know what causes that. When i play games, i get random pc freezes, more likely when there is a sudden loud sound or lots of sounds comming from differents objects but sometime it happens while there is nothing specials going on. The sound and the image will freeze and if i just alt tab it come back but there will be (not everytime) a delay between image and sound (not only in games but from everything : game, windows, youtube...). I use a Focusrite solo USB external sound card, and i thought it might be driver issue or faulty hardware but it also happend when i use motherboard headphone jack. It only happens in game but i don't think that it comes from my GPU, i had an similar issue with my old GPU, the pc would not freeze but all sound would mute and come back after few seconds. I tryied reinstalling windows, i tryed differents versions of both audio and GPU drivers but the problem still persist. Here's my scpecs : CPU : Ryzen 5 3600 Mobo : Aorus x570 Elite Ram : 16gb G skill trident Z 3600 mHz GPU : AMD rx 6700 xt PSU : Seasonic 750W 80+ gold Hoppefully someone has an idea.

I would really appreciate any help on my question, So I am looking into buying a new pair of headphones and decided to go with the stereo route. since I have only used headphones with digital 7.1 for the past 7 years I dont really know what stereo is supposed to sound like. So when I set my headphones to 2.0 stereo I noticed that when I'm playing for example Overwatch or ingame audio on yt that when a sound comes from the direct left I hear nothing on the right, and the other way around. Is it normal for stereo to sound that way? When the audio comes from in front of me I hear it more balanced in both ears but the sharp left and rights sound kinda odd to me. Any help or info on how to fix this would be really appreciated thx in advance.
