Multi-GPU setups like SLI and Crossfire once ruled the PC gaming scene, but micro stuttering and development complexity have made them obsolete. Why, then, are we boldly predicting that the future of gaming is multi-GPU? Ross Tregemba's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@gtastuntcrew302

I am trying to get my PC onto a MAC filtered network that is dedicated for gaming consoles. The general WIFI makes gaming on my PC impossible, but my Xbox does just fine on its dedicated network. In order for my console to be allowed onto the network, I have to take a picture of the "advanced network settings" page on my Xbox so they can manually enter in its MAC address. The network is not password protected, just seems to be MAC filtered. I could be completely wrong about most or all of this, but this is what I did according to my current knowledge: I had the idea of manually changing my PC's MAC address and IP address. I found a couple tutorial videos on YouTube for doing just that, but my network card and it's software does not have the option to change it's MAC address (Realtek 8822BE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC). I have tried downloading different software to see if it gave me different options, but that was a no-go. I found the setting that I need (as per YouTube tutorial = Locally Administered Address) in my Intel(R) I211 Network Connection Properties, and changed my MAC, IP, DNS, and a few other things to what my Xbox's is, but that also didn't work. I could be doing something wrong, but there aren't exactly many tutorial videos about this online (at least what I could find). I talked to a few friends that are a little more technologically inclined than I am, and they motioned that there is probably a network simulator that makes my PC look like a console when trying to connect to a network. I was wondering if anybody out here would know of such a thing because google isn't doing much justice. I don't quite know exactly what to look for either I have attached screenshots of my Network Adapters from Device Manager, and also the advanced settings for my Realtek network card in the case that I missed important details. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

It's an outdated old build, but I've been using it well for several years now. Finally got all the hardware to use as a flight simulator after finishing my mandatory military service. Excuse the messy cables... I added the blue logo sticker of my university on the side of my case. I think it suits the case and colors well. I'm an aviation student in Korea, and I'll finally be heading to the USA to get my first flying license Specs: Intel Core i7 7700k Gigabyte Z270M-D3H Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB DDR4 (8GBx2 @ 2666MHz) Gigabyte GTX 1070 FE Cryorig C7 Cooler EVGA Supernova 750 G2 with CableMod Custom Cables Samsung 960 EVO NVMe SSD (250GB) WD Black HDD (1TB) Corsair Air 240 Case Hoping to help my brother build a much better system after he finishes his military service too.

Hello there, I am seasoned software engineer with little bit gamming background in early days (University days ), recently I am thinking to upgrade my workstation to suite my software dev Workstation and Simulation games mostly Flight sim and Racing sim. Current system AMD Fx6300 Titan Black + GT630 16 GB DDR3 Looking at Ryzen Gen 3 and Intel 12th gen with DDR 4 since DDR 5 is far away I believe. I drive 3 Displays - 1 * 4k + 2 * FHD - but for gamming I am okay with 1440p or 2K Budget: 1000 to 1200 CAD only ! since new Apple mac 2021 M1 is already in wish list.

I was trying to figure out how my pc really moves air around and realized just how complicated it can get. I starting thinking how hard it is to really understand for some people and how a simulator for this would be really helpful. I imagine there has to be some sort of tool for this for case designers. Question here is does anyone know of any such simulation? How would someone go about making a simulation for this?

Hey guys My name Is Jack. I Am going To tell you A story About My Business idea With The help Of a Makerspace And Wondering If anybody Could possibly Help out First Let Me tell you Alittle Bit about myself I Am 17 years Old And Most of my Life I have been in and out of Group Homes Because My father Has Never really Been There In My life. He is a truck Driver And He could never Take Care Of me. He Had People Watch Me over the years But I Could sometimes Be alittle bit of A hassle. Honestly The reason I was Upset Was because My father Was never There For me. I had always loved Pc gaming And never Actually Had A useable Computer. I had A really had time With socializing With people Because Most of My Life I Had Always spent my time alone. There Was Always something That Made Me excited About Pc gaming. I have Never Actually Been Able to afford A working Computer. Living In a Group Home Can Be stressful. I live In A small Low Tech city In saint john New Brunswick canada. Alot Of The time people Bully Me Because I Always Tried To fit In. In 2012 I had figured Out That I have FASD Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. I Am A extremely intelligent Person. But The Fact Of living In A group Home Had held Me back. I Cant Afford Alot of things I would Like To have But I Have just kinda Lived With Had i Have. Now Let Me Tell You The story Of My Attempted business I Started Building This Simulator On a Very Tight Budget. I had Started building It From Just A Small Idea I Had After Watching some YouTube videos. I have always Wanted To build truck simulators From a young age. in about september 2013 I had an idea Of building A truck Simulator. At the time I had A job And I got my First Paycheck! first Thing I went to Buy Was A Logitech G27! Man Was I ever Excited When I first got it! Around The Same time I had Found a truck junk Yard near My town To look for a Truck Shifter For my g27 . (This Is Before I Found Out about The Makerspace) One Day I went There To pick Up The Shifter And I found this And I Thought To Myself??? Maybe I could turn This into a Truck Simulator. At The Time I never Had The Tools Or the Resouces To Build a Truck simulator. That year I had Started My grade 11 Year And Was Taking a entrepreneurship Class. A few Weeks Into That Class A guy From A Place Called Dreammaker innovations (Makerspace) Had Came To Do a Presentation On Their Makerspace! Instantly I Was Hooked! I Had told Him About My idea And Later That Week I had Went To Their Makerspace And i instantly Started Working On my simulator. At The Time I had No Clue On how To operate Powertools And Started Building The First Prototype! After 7 months Of Constant Hard Work The Makerspace Had Lost It's funding. When This happened My business Had Completely Collapsed I have always Wanted To continue to finish The project So I could Show That I have Done something in Life I Know Its not right Asking For help But I really Need The Help of the community And The Community Of Lmg Seems To be The people To look For Help Im not looking For 1000's Of dollars Because Thats Not What I Need. I just need Alittle Bit Of money To pay for Parts To finish The Dream Of building A truck Simulator. Right Now I Have A computer Thats Semi Capeable Of Running The Truck Sim. (Thank you so Much Marc But It Crashes Quite A Bit Because The Ram Is Bad Here Are The Specs Core2duo 3ghz stock cooler 240gbssd 4gb OF ddr2 ram Thats Faulty. A gt630 gpu. Better than anything i have ever Had And A Really Cheap vga monitior And No name mouse And Keyboard. Honestly I have not even Had money For thermal Paste And Have to use toothpaste If anybody Has spare Parts That could Help ME out with MY dream Of Having A Truck Simulator. Anything Helps And it will Mean Alot To Me If I posted In The wrong Place Let Me Know. http://imgur.com/a/CPdN8

I am looking to buy a wheel for ETS2, ATS FS17, Dirt 3, Dirt Showdown as well as any other games that I pick up. I have narrowed it down to the to the Logitech G27 and the G29. I can pickup: second hand g27 (with 2yr warranty) for £145 from Cex second hand g29 with shifter (with 2yr warrenrty) from Cex for £185 new g29 with shifter for £220 from PC World Leaning a little to the G27 as it has more buttons as well as being cheaper but a new G29 also is tempting. Any advice/suggestions/thoughts would be appricated. Side note - I only play on PC so console compability is irreverent. Thanks Chris

Hey I started to become interested in racing games, i bought a cheap Logitech Driving Force GT (i don't have it already, it's coming in 2 days) and I downloaded Richard Burns Rally, I only installed patch 1.01 and 1.02, I used a controller and I have to say it's amazing, can't wait to play it using the steering wheel. Looking at some forums a read that many people have installed a czech plugin, ngp cars, and many things, it's kind of confusing, but how would this affect the physics or simulation grade? I'm interested. Do you think I should play as I already have it or is it a must to install plugins? If so, Could you guide me on that? It seems a bit difficult and I don't know where to start. Thanks and I hope there are many people playing this

Today I have 3x22" 60 hz, 1440p, 16/10, > 5 ms monitors. This is fine for my current runing when I play Project cars or simular. My problem is that when playing FPS like battelfield 5 I would like to upgrade to a min 1440 144hz 1ms display. I like playing with 3 screens in BF5 to. I have an Aorus 1080TI WB Easy solution was to get 3 identical displays, but then the cost add up to much. Get one. And accept to play on one screen when playing BF5. And exchange the screens to play PCars Get an ultra wide screen? Get an ultra wide and use the 2 of the existing to have as "side windows" Is it posible to get some screens to fit with the existing in the higth ... Any surgestions or test I need to se? Buget is: I can pay for quality but 80% quality is good for me, if the last quality comes for a premium price.

I'm trying to build a virtual Network lab simulator setup for a classroom setting. Thinking about using a big ol 32GB RAM/i9 CPU server with GNS3 on it and just have like 10 laptops for the students to connect to it. However, a couple of things are required: the setup needs to be completely mobile, remote capability from anywhere in the world, each student laptop GNS3 session is completely separate from one another so they won't interfere with each other's work, not looking to spend more than $30,000. I'd like to know your ideas how this can be accomplished.

Hello. I don't want to use a flight simulator where it is not realistic at all. Is there a CAP Certified flight simulator?
-
I used the search tool and couldn't find an existing Topic. Thought there should be a thread to discuss Flight Simulator given it's such a massive game to launch which really stretches what is technically possible at the moment. Also if anyone has found work arounds for any of the common bugs I'd like to hear

I have a http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/usb-joystick Yeah I know it's a cheap piece of plastic but still it gets the job done,or should I say got. Today I plugged it in after a couple of months hoping to have a nice time flying around.I cleaned, lubricated and configured it and in the control panel when i test it,it works fine. But while X-plane 10 was downloading in the background.I wanted to test it out so I loaded up the only game I had which came close to a flight simulator.Simple planes,it did not work. The issue it had is that the X and Y axis are turned all the way in one direction and when I move it in the opp direction I just end up straightening it.Hope you understand what I am saying here.I thought maybe it's the game's fault so I tested an online sim by the name of GEF,the same exact problem happened. Then I recalibrated it and again it works perfectly well in the control panel tester but not in games.I switched from multiple USB ports, both 2 and 3 but still nothing.Hope you guys can solve my problem and make my day better. Thanks a lot.

Hello, so I just wanted to ask if anybody here knows, if something like a video camera simulator exist, where you can do things like set up sets, simulate camera movements and so on. For only photographic use there is something called set a light 3d, where you can set up your camera, simulate different sensor sizes, apertur, distance, depth of field, shutter speed, zoom, lightning, height and so on. So I´m searching for something like this just for video/film. I heard about the existence of those simulators a few months ago in a film riot episode, but I just cant find that episode again:( So if anybody here knows something it would be great

Hello people! I have a little question regarding economy/city building simulators. So in a game such as Cities Skylines, the city is real-time simulated by the computer. All the data that is being simulated is written to a save file, when the game is saved. Now, imagine one would make an in-browser, multi-player economy simulator. So basically, you run the nation from an in browser interface. Different people make accounts, and trade with each other. That way, you basically get a multi-player economy simulator. Now I have some questions on how to go about and do this. - I can't use Javascript to simulate the economy, because you can easily cheat via inspect element. Basically, client side simulating seems like a bad idea. - If I would simulate all economies on the back-end (server-side), that would mean, depending on the amount and size of economies, I need huge servers to do the simulations. - I can, to some extent, decrease the amount of things that have to be simulated in real-time. Just a little example: Bad idea: An entity has to pay a loan. The server updates the database every second, telling how much money is paid, and and how much money is left to pay, and due to which date. Obviously updating a huge database every second with data is a terrible idea. Good idea: The database tells how much money has to be paid in total, due to which date, how much money per time unit is being paid, ... When information about the loan is needed, the amount of money already paid will be calculated when request using the current date, and the information in the database. So, I hope you understand my thought process. I'm not struggling with the programming aspect, just with the architecture, which is a pretty important thing. This is my first serious project, I don't expect it to be easy, or have a good end result. But I'm just making this because I want to try. Any ideas, help or suggestions on how to limit the amount of simulating done by the server, or how the do safe client side simulating. Or just help on the architecture would be nice. Thanks in advance! (If I'm not clear on what I'm asking, please tell me)
