Hey, I’m trying to boost our signal from the main house to another building. Currently the main house has the BT smart hub router and I have a TPlink extender in the other building but the wifi signal is terrible because its too far away. So I plan to run a cat6 ethernet cable round the house and into the 2nd building. But do I need to connect the cable into another router or just a extender. My current extender only has 1 ethernet port which isn’t any good as I would like to be able to be hard wired into my pc as well so I need some suggestions as to what to buy so I can do that, thank you

So I picked up a TCL Q7 for my office. Wanted something budget friendly to get better motion clarity. It has 4k 120hz. Love it so far for stream and tv. I eventually will get a ps5 to hook up to it. For now I have a pc with a 3080 I figured I could hook up to play BG3. Here’s the problem. HDMI does not work at all. My pc recognizes the tv, it shows in display settings as 4k 60hz. Even lets me move my mouse over to it. The tv will show a pop up saying hdmi device detected but on the screen it just says no signal please check connections. Yes I’ve tried different cables already and a different pc. Any suggestions?

I have been struggling to get good wifi signal and speeds in my outbuilding where my office is. Currently the download speed in the main house is 60 download and in the outbuilding only like 10. When I try to play games Im lagging a lot as the latency is spiking up and down. I have tried to use a wifi extender to make a bridge between the two buildings but still no good and then I have now incorporated powerline adapters but still no success. Any ideas how to improve my wifi signal and speeds?

Hey! so im trying to set up my windows hotspot to play my oculus quest via air link. My only error is a weak signal from my hotspot. Even on my phone my windows hotspot has 1 bar of signal, the antenna is about 60cm away from me. I cant find anything online as google it only brings up weak signal issues between a router and a pc. Anyone got any ideas? Ive reinstalled drivers, reinstalled the antenna into the pci card... got no idea. Its an ax200 wifi card from Aorus, GC-WBAX200

Summary Ylva Johansson – the EU Commissioner in charge for the Chat Control Bill proposal basically does not understand how encryption works, when introducing the law for scanning the content of the encrypted communication for child sex material. Quotes My thoughts Well she has been into family and schools for a long time and maybe she meant good [The road to hell is paved with good intentions]. I think she sees encryption as something that only criminals use and has a bad attitude towards it. She does not understand how it works, or at least did not fully understand it when someone explained to her. Even if she knew how it works, such a law will not solve the problem. And why was only Signal attacked? Does it mean that Meta and Skype are already scanning? What will stop the people from sending password-protected zip files through any messengers? So wrong on so many levels. I do see it as another try to implement the total "surveillance for the masses". Hi all, my precious GTX 660ti has suddenly stopped being happy with me. I was playing Valheim and out of no where the game froze/crashed and I had to reboot. During the boot it loaded up to the Windows10 spinning dots and then the monitor loses signal just before the login screen appears. *Able to boot into Windows Safe Mode with no issues. Only ways to get a successful boot up into normal Windows is either.. 1. Removing the 660ti entirely out of my setup and use the on-board VGA. 2. Use the 660ti ports but have no Nvidia drivers installed (removed with DDU) and also have the Windows automatic driver installer disabled. Things I've tried... -Updating to the latest Nvidia driver available for the 660ti -Reinstall Windows 10 Pro -Dust off the 660ti -Different 660ti ports (DVI, HDMI) -Another PCI Express on mobo -A brand new PSU -Older Nvidia drivers (including the oldest available 442.50) -Reinstall Windows again but not install update 20H2. Spec: Intel i5 3570K Asrock Z77 Extreme4 Gigabyte GTX 660ti Samsung SSD 840 16GB of RAM Seasonic S12III 550W & Seasonic Focus GM-650 Really hoping there's a way to fix this especially now with the pandemic and state of the gpu market... Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

would an adapter going from USB-C to HDMI send more power to a projector or tv than going from HDMI to HDMI? Another question right now to work a projector we are going from HDMI on the computer to VGA connected to the projector. Every so often the connection is lost due to the VGA cable being a little too long, I've lowered the resolution and refresh rate which has helped but is there a was to improve the signal without having to install repeaters or would that be my best option?

Hi guys, today I happily received my new PC. Specs: Case:MSI MAG VAMPIRIC 011C Ryzen Ed. PSU:Aerocool AERO WHITE 700 Watt (80+) Mainboard:MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI, AMD B550 Prozessor:AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6x 4.6GHz RAM:16GB DDR4-RAM PC-3200 (2x 8GB) Graphics card:Nvidia GeForce RTX3070 8GB, beliebiger Hersteller M.2 / Optane:NVME M.2 SSD 1TB Kingston A2000 Festplatte Wireless LAN:Intel Wireless-AC 3168, Bluetooth 4.2 Soundcard:7.1 AUDIO BOOST + Soundblaster Cinema Processor-Cooler:Xilence M704 (für AMD) It also has win 10 pre installed. It is a prebuilt. The problem here is that when I turned it on everything goes well, leds RGB lights of the components and the fans are running. So far so good but one thing I've noticed was that a light was shining in white. It's the dram light on the Mainboard. When it boots up then the CPU just blinks one time and then switches to the dram. I plugged my monitor in and it has no signal. It's connected via HDMI. The next problem is that when I want to plug my mouse and keyboard in the don't seem to get power. Normally they glow cause of LEDs but nothing on this PC. I've tried every USB port on this PC bot not one would work. I really want try and get the problem myself because otherwise I have to send it back because on warranty. But that is time consuming but in the end when nothing should help then I have no other way. I looked these problems up so far and I switched the ram sticks but nothing worked. Maybe u guys can help me out. If you need pictures of the PC feel free to ask but for me it looks completely fine.

Summary About a year after "security" vendor Cellebrite claimed to be able to extract the Signal messenger's data, the Signal developers have hit back. After reverse-engineering "the latest versions of the Cellebrite software", Signal founder Moxie Marlinspike announced in a blog post that the software has grave security flaws which would allow an attacker to reverse-exploit a PC running the infamous forensics software. Marlinspike finished the blog post with a thinly-veiled threat to any organisation which uses Cellebrite's software: My thoughts On the one hand, this is just another instance of a supposed "security" company with terrible security (like shipping ffmpeg DLLs from 2012). On the other hand, since Cellebrite has been somewhat controversial due to the cooperation with - dubious - institutions, I can certainly understand the glee with which many people are reporting on this. In any case, I was expecting something like this to happen ever since Cellebrite announced that it had "broken" Signal's security. Also, the blog post itself is quite funny to read with its tongue-in-cheek style (like the claim that the kit had "just fallen off a truck"). I recently started experiencing this problem on the 1650 Super. I would be gaming or even watching YouTube videos in the browser and my monitor would lose signal but remain powered on. Upon restart my NVIDIA drivers would not be detected so a smaller desktop resolution would be shown. I tried re-installing drivers using DDU first, re-install Windows and everything else you can imagine. I didn't think that this issue would relate to the rest of my computer so I bought a new Graphics Card - Sapphire RX 580 8GB. I installed the AMD drivers on a fresh Windows install and worked fine for 5 days up until now. Just minutes ago I was playing a game and my Graphics Drivers crashed causing a loss of monitor signal and a game crash, the screens regained signal showing the Windows 10 desktop, I then re-launched the game and got a loss of signal and had to hard reboot to get back to Windows. The only advantage this time for troubleshooting is AMD provide this Windows notification on restart - "Default Radeon Wattman settings have been restored due to an unexpected system failure., any ideas as to what I should do next to make sure this doesn't happen again? Or should I just build a new PC? Wifi in My folks Home has always been historically bipolar good days, bad days, good weeks, bad weeks, etc. There have been problems with signal strength, speed consistence, Especially in my room. Do I need to bridge my ISP's Router with something new? Do range extenders actually work?? Home (Duplex) layout: ISP router is in the middle of the house but within 1ft (30cm) of the wall we share with our neighbor to the north of us. This area is directly below the Bathroom (very strong signal here), my room is on the other side of the bathroom to the east, my bed where I stay up all night using WIFI, and my gaming PC are placed on the far end of my room. I would like the Inconsistency in strength and speed to stop preferably for ever. I've tried changing the channel after consulting Wifi Analyzer but the improvements are marginal. Powerline adapters have been considered but it would only solve the problem for my PC and not my phone, the wiring in this 1970s house maybe also too old to support this solution. ANY help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Whenever my monitor doesn't receive any video signal, its backlight starts flickering at regular intervals, but very slowly (about once every 4 seconds ?). It's as if it was trying to turn on to check for a video signal but instantly turn off one frame after. Thing is, it still functions completely fine when I feed it video signal, so I'm really lost, cuz it doesn't seem to be a straightforward hardware defect, it's more like a firmware bug ? I don't really know what's happening or what caused it, my only clue is the recent power outages I've had (about 3 in the last two weeks), but I would be surprised that this one monitor is the only thing that got damaged by it. I've also heard it could be due to the age of my monitor, but I highly doubt that an aging display would break down like this, cuz as I've said, it still works great when receiving video input. I can live with it, it's just annoying to have to unplug it and replug it whenever I wanna put my PC to sleep and back, though I wouldn't mind finding a solution. So if any of you more knowledgeable folks know what could be happening or have experienced it before, I'm all ears. Also if you need more info on my setup please ask away for the info that could help you figure out the problem. Thanks a bunch !

Hello everyone! I recently built a brand-new PC, and I've run into a problem. When the system is idle everything is okay, but when I open a game(Destiny 2, yet to test on others) the signal from the GPU(XFX Speedster QICK 319 AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT) starts to disappear and appear again. When I plug the cable into another DisplayPort, the issue is not occurring. It may be a broken port, but why is it normal when the system is idle? I've had trouble messages from Adrenaline, but they stopped appearing when I updated Windows, so it does not seem to be a driver issue. Does anyone know what to do? I can provide additional info if needed? Thank you for reading!

Hello there, A few days ago I bought myself a new GPU (PowerColor Rx 7900xt red devil). But I have an annoying problem. I reguarly use my PC to watch things on my TV but with the new GPU the Picture is squeezed together on the top half of my tv. My main and second monitor are not affected by this. I already tried using another port on my GPU and TV. And I also replaced that DP to HDMI converter cable to a new HDMI cable. Changing the screen Resolution had no impact on the problem. The only way I have found to utilize the whole screen is by activating AMD Eyefinity. I hope somebody can help Thanks -Adrian

Greetings. I have a logging road where somebody keeps dumping trash. I'd like to set up a surveillance system yet I'm having a hard time selecting a camera. Part of my trouble is I need the photos captured sent to me, so I need either a cellular service option or WIFI connection. The road isn't far from the house, I'm thinking a WIFI connection might be an option. (might not) I don't know much about WIFI signal/range booster devices. Any advice is appreciated. I'd say the camera's location is roughly a 2 min walk from the house. Maybe 500 feet or less?

I have 2 monitors in which i previously had one connected with a DVI cable, and the other HDMI. They both worked fine with those cables, but I couldn't get 144hz on my second monitor with the HDMI cable I had so I decided to just buy 2 display port cables and hook both of them up with that into my GPU. After doing that however, whenever my computer goes to sleep, the monitors will get no signal. The computer still works, I get audio if a video is playing, and if I remote desktop I can see that the inputs I make still work just fine, it's just that the monitors get no signal. Initially I would just go into remote desktop and restart the computer and it would work, but recently not even that is fixing it. The only way I've found to get them to work again is to do a hard shutdown by holding the power button, and then turning it on again. Obviously I don't want to have to do that every day when I turn my computer on, so what's the deal? The only thing I can think of is a power issue, because I have a lot of things plugged into the same outlet that my computer is plugged into, but why would that only affect the display port cables and not the other ones?

This issue started to happen around Feb 2020, my screen would randomly go black (no signal) when playing games or just browsing on the Internet. The PC still runs but I'm forced to hold the power button and perform a restart. I've used another 1070 to iron out the issue but the issue still remains the same. I've also received another PSU from corsair as they've said it was defective but I highly doubt it's the PSU as they sent a brand new replacement. On event viewer I see "kernel power 41", I've had this before with my previous power supply and also with the new replacement. I come across this issue once every 2 days even when my game runs fine, it could be themotherboard or a driver issue but I still cant find a solution. If I anyone knows the issue I would highly appreciate your input. Thank you for your time. Hi, I added a new ssd in my pc and plugged it in sata port 2. I learned after that that the pc boots drives one by one starting by sata port 1. And so by computer was not starting. So i changed my boot drive to port 2 and plugged my new drive to port 3. Now my pc is starting but my monitor detects no signal. I tried with the onboarding graphics and same thing. Everything is working, the graphics card, all the fans etc but I get no signal. I tried resetting the cmos by shorting the 2 clrtc pins but it changed nothing. I want to try with the header but I cant find it. I'm using an Asus Prime B360-A.

Hi all! I just got my new computer today and put it together. It's not my first computer that I've built so you could say I'm used to building computers. But this is my first computer that I built for myself to keep in a while and of course it has problems! The problems are, and nothing has changed since I first booted up the computer; The computer turns on for about 5 seconds and all fans spin, then it shuts down, turns on again but this time stays on, all fans spinning. I have the monitor connected up to the GPU, my keyboard and mouse plugged in and my GPU fans spin but my mouse and keyboard do not light up nor does my monitor receive any signal. I have tried with VGA-DVI, DVI and HDMI. I don't have access to an older keyboard with an older connector. What I've Tried: I've reset the CMOS battery multiple times, nothing changed. I've tried many different cables for display as I mentioned above. I've taken everything apart and reconnected everything, all the way down to the CPU. I've plugged out the computer and held the Power Button for 10 seconds. Nothing has worked. My parts are: PCPartPicker part list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/vHHbd6 CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor (€59.90) Motherboard: ASRock H110M-DGS Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (€53.90) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Elite 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory (€59.90) Storage: Toshiba Q300 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (Purchased For €0.00) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Superclocked ACX Video Card (€150.00) Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (White) ATX Mid Tower Case (€82.90) Power Supply: SeaSonic 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (€74.90)

Hi guys, so I recently upgraded to: MSI z270 PRO CARBON Intel i5 7600K Samsung evo 850 500gb Corsair Vengence 2x8 GB In it I stuck my old GTX 970, which is where the problems begin. I can't get monitor signal through it The card lights up, the fans spin, but it does nothing. The onboard graphics work fine, so I'm using that to type this message. The monitor will not work if the 970 is installed, unless the bios has been changed to force it to use the onboard graphics. In device manager it can see the 970 is there, and I've installed the drivers for it, but monitor still didn't pick up any output. I will add that the monitors are hooked up to mini-displayport, and the onboard is HDMI, but I don't see why this should matter after drivers have been installed. I've also tried the 970 in a different PCI slot, but similar results. It would be awesome if the card wasn't bricked, so if you guys have any ideas?

Hey guys, So I recently changed my ISP and got cable internet. They provide their ARRIS TG862S which is a modem/router combo. However the wifi signal strength is very bad. I did a Wifi Analyzer test and there are no other wifi networks interfering as my house is not in a crowded area. I also checked the router's settings and the wifi power level is set to high which is the max. I also tried re-positioning the modem/router without any luck. It only reaches like 10 meters away and then gets really bad, so I can't even print on my wireless printer anymore which is like 12 meters away. Whats a solution to this? Should I get a router? An access point? An extender? Kind of a noob with all of these. Feel free to offer your advice on a product. Thanks!

Hey. I have an Iphone 6. All of a sudden it is no longer able to connect to our wifi from within my room. Which it was able to do before, although not at full signal. If i move closer to our router it connects and works fine. I tested my iphone 6 side by side with my fathers iphone 6. His was still able to connect from within my room. That leads me to believe it is a problem with my iphone and not the crap router. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this? BTW there has not been added any new walls or iphone covers or anything else of the sort.

UPDATE: Holy crap, I read searched more on the internet (already searched tonnes) and my ram wasn't inserted properly. With this motherboard only one side of the ram slots had those usual clip things so I only pushed the other side in "enough". Apparently not enough. Hello, Just built a new PC, specs: Mobo: Asrock z270 Extreme4 CPU: Intel i7 7700k Graphics: GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB GS-F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4, 3200MHz PSU: Corsair RM750i 80 Plus Gold I've built many systems before and this as never happened to me. All of the lights (fans, mobo, gpu) turn on except RAM RGB lights, I'm not sure if they're meant to. I assume it needs the software associated with the memory to be installed. Everything seems to run perfectly except there is no signal to the display. I tried using the integrated cpu gpu by connecting the DVI connector to the mobo with no dedicated GPU connected, no luck. I've made sure I have everything connected correctly multiple times including the 8 pin cpu power. I've tried multiple monitors. I've tried installing the ram in different slots with 4 or 1 or 2 combinations. I currently use the DVI to display port adapter (included with gpu) to connect to the 1080ti. Need some help.
