So I just bought new PC parts and I keep having the issue of my pc just randomly turning off. This happens if im playing a game or just sitting at the desktop. I dont have any overclocks on and my ram is not in XMP mode right now. As well as the GPU has no overclock. I have just updated the BIOS to the newest version and am still having the same issue. Hello, I've been having an issue with my computer over the last couple months. It's been so few and far between that I haven't been bothered to look for a fix until now. For some reason when I try to boot certain games on my pc, the monitors will go off like I've turned off the computer, but I can still hear sounds from my headset whether it is game audio or people in a discord call even though they can't hear me back after it shuts off. Turning both monitors off and back on doesn't do anything. The only way to fix it is restarting my pc fully, which only lets me use it like normal until I try to relaunch certain games again. I've made sure all my updates are caught up (windows, AMD Radeon, the games themselves, etc.) as well as checking to verify that the game files aren't corrupted. The weird thing is that it only does it to certain games. About a month ago, it was doing this with MultiVersus, but after they released a patch on the first day, it stopped and worked fine since. As of recent it has been doing this with Gundam Evolutions. I can launch the game no problem but once it starts the tutorial, the shutoff happens. I tried all manner of games- League of legends, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring- all no problems with anything related to those, whether running in full-screen, windowed, or borderless. This leaves me to think it's something with certain games themselves. Any potential help would be greatly appreciated. Hello! I recently bought a pre-built PC back in January and never had any problems until recently. As the title reads my PC shuts down when playing specific games. It isn't due to overheating (I've kept HWMonitor up while playing games and haven't noticed any temps over 70 celsius) It also takes me to the "shutting down" windows screen, it doesn't instantly turn off like a crash or anything, nor do I get any blue screens. I noticed the game it does it constantly on is Call of Duty Black Ops 2 (I wanted to replay the campaign). After about 5 minutes of playing, it randomly does this. The problem I believe is the graphics drivers but I'm not sure why. I have tried DDU and reinstalling the drivers. The shut down does not happen after a fresh install of the drivers or sometimes I hit the reinstall driver option on Nvidia GeForce Experience and do not experience any shut downs after reinstalling the drivers. However, if I turn my PC off or restart it, the problem continues when I come back on for another session. I tried looking online but couldn't find a solution. I don't think it's my PSU but I haven't completely ruled that out. Would really appreciate the help. Thank you! PC just shuts down and then reboots a few mins into playing any game. This problem only started happening in the past few months and never happened before. I suspect that its either the graphics card or psu has gone bad. Also it might be a coincidence but almost always the PC shuts off everytime the gpu reaches 60 degrees which shouldn't happen. Hey Everyone! My Sony 3d monitor keeps shutting off after 15 minutes of use and the sectio. Of metal on the back that looks like a GPU gets Excessively Hot. Please help, My Dads gonna Kill Me if His monitor dies.

So i have this problem for well over a year now it started after upgrading to windows 10 tried multible solutions -setting power off to shutting down -turning off fast start up -setting uefi to default -reconnecting power cables and power pins -reinstalling windows 10 multible times -updating drivers Going to update bios tomorrow see if that works, i,ve read this can destroy your pc? Also holding down the power button for 5 seconds does the same fans keep running- if the disk stopped and i press the power button again my pc starts up again. The only way to shut down is flipping the power supply switch. I want this fixed because i want to sell my pc and want it to work.

So every few hours my computer will shut off randomly without warning then restart without me pressing anything. Afterwards I get no warnings or error codes. It's very irregular shut downs as well. I've had it shut off during 3d modeling/rendering, video gaming, and Internet surfing on chrome. Even once while totally idle while I was out of the room making lunch with no programs running. The most interesting thing is I have a fan speed controller that has a clock and each time it gets reset as if the PSU was unplugged. But it's not a bad PSU. I swapped the PSU with another from a friend (same wattage, no issue with his PC) and I have the same issue. I also swapped the power cord. I have tried on and off a backup battery (ups) and had the issue with both, so it's not wall power. So I've ruled out power delivery. I have a CPU GPU liquid cooled setup that runs around 40c even at time of shutdown so it's not temperatures. It's happened while at stock speeds and overclocked, so it's not because of overclocking instability. (I can run benchmarks just fine) There's no leaks and no mixed metals in the system. So it's not the liquid cooling system. Any ideas what's going wrong? Cus I'm kinda stumped. The problem started about 2 weeks ago. System was built in 2014 with only a change of the liquid in the system and the diagnostic PSU swap. I've added more HDDs and SSDs since it was built but that's the only hardware change but nothing added recently, and none are acting up. Windows 10 ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME Intel 5960x 2x EVGA 980 SC SAMSUNG XP941 for the C drive CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) 2x D5 pumps in series with full EK rads and blocks The 2 power supplies I've tried are: Rosewill RBR1000-MS 1000W And Corsair HXi Series HX1000i 1000W I have to assume there's something happening that's tripping the PSU since that's the only thing that would reset the clock, but it's not a PSU problem, as it's happened between 2 different fully functional power supplies. Any ideas?

I've been looking for a solution for this problem for like a month now. My PC is constantly shutting off at random times. The only consistency I find in the time that it shuts off, is during boot when the computer powers on. It will power on, then shut off almost immediately or after a few seconds. It will repeat this cycle for a while until it finally decides it wants to power on. And even then, it still may shut off during use just not very frequently. I've had this computer since 2013 and this wasn't a problem until about last month. Thinking it was the power supply, I bought a gold rated PSU with a bit more wattage (550W, 500W before) but to no avail. I reinstalled Windows, tested and diagnosed my RAM, cleaned the computer of dust, but none of it seems to be the issue. One person has suggested to me that it could be the motherboard, but i'd like a second opinion on that since i'd have to buy a new motherboard and RAM because may as well just upgrade to DDR4 since I am still running DDR3. The only other thing I can find wrong, is that my RAM has displayed different timings about a week apart. I have recently run into a an issue where, when I click shut down in the start menu, my computer will appear to be shutting down, the screen will go black for a few seconds, but then the lock screen will reappear. My case lighting doesn't turn off at any point. I have anti-virus, and haven't installed anything recently except for some well known Skyrim mods off of the official Nexus Mods site. I have literally no idea what the issue is, or where to start. motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H170 Gaming 3 CPU: i5 6500 graphics card: Gigabyte G1 Gaming R9 390 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2133mhz PSU: SilverStone Strider series, 500w, 80+ bronze (I think) not 100% sure on model number, think those are the specs though I haven't changed any settings in the UEFI, asides from one that makes my motherboard lighting pulse. Had this error before when I installed the drivers for my LG 24MP48HQ - P from the LG website, but rolled back and that solved it. Not sure what the error is now though, and I would really appreciate some pointers, or at least some help on how to figure out the problem my self. Thanks in advance!

Hi, my name is Sammy and recently i have ran into a problem. a couple of months ago my computer started to randomly shutoff even when i wasn't doing anything demanding like playing a game or running a benchmark just browsing the web. i did some research and couldn't find anything helpful, at first i thought it would be a overheating problem but my CPU runs at 34c and my GPU at 55c on standby. I built my PC 4 years ago i thought i might need to replace the thermal paste so when i opened up my case and took the fan off the paste was pretty dry but not enough to damage it in my opinion but i replaced it and added 2 new fans to increases the air flow which i thought would fix it but a couple days later it happens again when i was watching YouTube. At this point i don't believe its hardware other than it might be my PSU but other than that nothing comes to mind, here is my setup list CPU: Intel core 17 4770 Motherbored: MSI Z87-G45 gaming RAM: DDR3 24GB 3899.1MHz Corsair GPU: Geforce GTX 980Ti OC HDD:1 TB SSD: 500 GB Samsung Case: Carbide Series® 400R Mid-Tower Case PSU: Corsair 860W 80+ Platinum Certified please contact me if you know what i can do and it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
