1. Budget (including currency): 800 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Internet browsing mostly, want it to last for 10ish years. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Ive made a parts list, no need for peripherals. Just some advice is needed. Thanks! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MzWxQP
2. Hi, hi, i'm new to this forum, i built my last PC in 2014 so i don't know about any meta PSU, but i want to build SFF system to travel with ease, atm i have Corsair ATX modular HX850, and it won't fit in any SFF case under 10L. So i want and need your help broskies with choosing a new PSU, SFX format, 750W(i guess, my system is R5 5600G+RTX4060Ti), and somewhat budget, not the highest end, i saw 1StPlayer PSUs, but it's so sketchy, i don't want to burn out my rig. Thank everyone in advance!
3. Budget (including currency): 1000-1500 € Country: France Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: (in order of priority) Music Production and Music Mixing: Ableton Live 11, maybe upgrade to 12 ( for work ) Video Editing, Small animation creation: Blender and DaVinci Resolve ( for work ) Light 3D modeling: Auto Cad and TermoLog ( a software for buildings 3D modeling ) (for work) Gaming: EUIV, WoW, have a peek at more modern titles that I could not play before. (for fun! ) Philosophy of the build: I need a capable machine today, I can add/upgrade non-essential features in the future ( i.e. more storage). (This is why I think going with a DDR5 capable system would allow me to upgrade it in the future. Same goes with the 12th gen CPU, I chose a budget friendly platform that will allow me to upgrade up to 14th gen in the future... Is there something I am missing in my reasoning ? ) Additional Constraint: I have to relocate once per year in a different country in Europe for 2 months, so I need something "portable", some SFF build. Laptops seem to not give a good €/performance compared to desktops, plus they are not really upgradeable in the future. The build: PCPartPicker Part List: https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/4ngLn6 CPU: Intel Core i5-12400 2.5 GHz 6-Core Processor (€182.14 @ Amazon France) Motherboard: ASRock B760M-H/M.2 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard (€105.88 @ Alternate) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (€138.88 @ Alternate) Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (€102.27 @ Amazon France) Video Card: Asus DUAL OC GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB Video Card (€322.00 @ PowerLab) Case: Fractal Design Define 7 Mini MicroATX Mini Tower Case (€123.78 @ Amazon France) Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€129.99 @ Amazon France) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Home OEM - DVD 64-bit (€141.88 @ Alternate) Total: €1246.82 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2024-02-29 10:33 CET+0100 Monitors: 2 Monitors Setup Peripherals: I already have all the basic peripherals, including an external audio interface The more USB ports the better, currently I'm forced to use USB hubs that cause some issues with MIDI keyboards. Here's what I currently hook up to my laptop: External Audio Interface Mouse dongle Keyboard dongle MIDI keyboard 2 external hard drives. ( in the future I will only use them for backup and transfer sound libraries on internal SSD, for now I'm forced to use them for "low-priority" sound banks) Why the Upgrade? I'm currently using a struggling Laptop which technically performs all the tasks that the new build should perform way better. (Current Laptop partial spec: CPU: intel i7-8550U GPU: AMD Radeon R7 M340 RAM: 8GB, 500ish GB SSD of some kind). The laptop is starting to crash once per week, I want to change it before it dies on me. So.. is this build even realistic ? Cheers
4. Hi All, Looking at setting up an external power button for a HP EliteDesk 800 G3 Mini and wondering the best way to do this as the power button is hardwired on this device. Any advise appreciated. Cheers, Treewalker2
5. Hey all, I will try to keep this short and sweet. I've scoured the internet for an answer but all I see is seriously mixed results. So, I had my old PC lying around, as I recently upgraded. I didn't want this to go to waste anymore, so have made the decision to attempt to convert this to a SFF and use specifically for gaming in the living room. The system houses a 3900X, and a 2080 super GPU. I purchased a Fractal Terra without doing any prior research and found that I couldn't get any cooler sufficient enough that would fit in the system, without extreme noise levels, even running in ECO mode on the CPU front. I am looking to make the switch to a PHANTEKS Evolv Shift 2 case, and just want to know, will this CPU run, at reasonable temperatures, in ECO mode, whilst using a 120mm AIO? (Potentially H60i, or beQuiet! Pure Loop 120mm. Or any other recommendations that would keep this as cool as possible, whilst maintaining low noise levels). Yes, I know this is an overkill CPU; I needed it for game development work, but have since upgraded, so I didn't want to waste the 3900X and just go buy a lower performant CPU for this purpose . Thanks in advance... All the best... and most of all, Happy New Year! -Liam
6. Hello friends! im planning on making a small form factor build. I have currently a motherboard: b550 msi atx cpu: amd 5800x ram: 4x8 trident z gpu: amd stock 6800xt case: deepcool e shield psu: Corsair rm850 CPU cooler: Noctua nh d15 with one fan I’m currently looking into the ssupd meshroom s(https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_6004_5959&item_id=237625&sid=nr6ip2ip5v57ho53n8heel2hb7), as I saw some builds on YouTube making a full atx mobo fit in. The drawback is that I have to buy a sfx psu. I already have a Deepcool aio that I used for 2 years before going to a Noctua. I really like sff but before I didn’t have the money to go full sff build and paying that “sff tax” now I do. Is it worth going sff case? And if it is which sfx psu should I get? A quick response would be much appreciated as I’m trying to take advantage of the Boxing Day sales
7. Hello all, I don't think my request has a solution, but a true SFF case with 340mm long GPU support, specifically something as large as an RTX 4090 Gaming OC. Most cases I see have maximum support <10mm from 340mm, being one of the largest GPUs on the market. Keeping in mind that its not only a length limitation, but a girth limitation as well. Practically speaking, the card is already cramped in a mid tower, barely having room for the front fans. Feel free to prove me wrong though I might end up getting another Fractal Design Ridge anyways for when those 8000G APUs come out, plan to mount an EKWB 280mm AIO in the top section for it. A deshroud mod might afford the extra few millimeters necessary to fit within 335mm.
8. Hi, I bought a refurbished HP Pro/EliteDesk 600 G3 SFF from Amazon for 120. Then a RX 550 4G LP for 35. Budget build. ISSUE: The GPU keeps overheating and causing games to crash. I tried adjusting fan settings and it is still happening. Gets to like 92 or 93 Celsius then crashes. Took it apart and thermal paste seemed fine but maybe I could redo that? ANY OTHER TIPS? I know these things have poor airflow but I have seen many videos of dudes online with similar set-ups. Also card only draws 35-40 watts with a max of 50. One small fan. Please give me some options or just tell me this was a failed experiment. Thanks!
9. Budget (including currency): $1000 (usd) Country: United states Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: BeamNG, r6, tomb raider, WarThunder Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I've just wanted to down-size for a bit of time now bc i have a desk pc and my current pc is just too big, I've built my own pc before so i know my way around a little. this is the build that i want to make https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jr.Death/saved/#view=qHD6Bm ("mini" pc build), i'm building in a Mechanic Master C26 Small Cube Sugar (https://www.newegg.com/p/2AM-05JW-00025?Item=9SIBJJTK4E2546). it would be nice if everything was at micro center so i can just have a one stop shop. i don't need any peripherals and the ones that i do have only uses 6 USBs, and i want to try to buy everything thing this Friday (EST)
10. Hello all! Recently I've gotten for free an Acer prebuilt PC (Acer Aspire XC-704 from 2015) that I plan to use as a secondary PC. However, upon opening it, I realized just how much of the case was empty and I was starting to wonder if there were options for much, much smaller cases to fit the internals in. Basically, the motherboard appears to be a Mini-DTX format and the computer uses an external power supply. So far though, I've only been able to find cases that all had a space for an internal power supply. Are there any SFF cases out there that don't have said space for the internal power supply to make them smaller? The only requirements for the case are to have two half-length PCI slots, since I added more ports on the computer with a PCI-E card, and obviously fit the motherboard itself. There's no real height to the cooler on the CPU and it's rather tiny, so if the case is thick enough for half-length PCI slots, it will fit. TIA!
11. Hi, My family have a sheet metal company and I wanted to try laser/punch my own case as some sff cases like the velka are hard to get due to delivery fees I have been searching online but most itx and sff cases are for 3D printing. I was wondering if anyone had done something similar already and what options they had found? I’m interested in the designs such as the velka 3/5 as well as the some of the more ali express cases like Acat s1 or the sgpc k39 TIA
12. Hello I've been trying to research different parts that would work well together in a build and I wanted to see if it's actually decent. The case I'm going with is the nr200p max, so that's why I don't have a power supply/cpu cooler on the list and why the price is that high. The only problem I really have is the cpu and gpu. I think I've got a good match but I feel like I could do better. My budget is $1500 and I live in the US https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QHXm89
13. Budget (including currency): Around $1,250 USD Country: Panama, but will buy from the US online, since parts availability here is kind of bad and is more expensive than to ship from us Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Neovim, VMs for testing (QEMU with Virt-IO and Virtual Machine Manager), this will be a Linux machine running NixOS. Other details: Current plan is to use the following parts: CPU: Ryzen 7 7700 (non X version on purpose) MOBO: GIGABYTE B650I AORUS Ultra, It has good connectivity. Can't find many options for this form factor for AM5. CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i. GPU: None, I want to use the integrated graphics. RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 5200MHz CL40. Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB. I chose this bc I do not really know which other one is reputable and good. PSU: Seasonic FOCUS Plus 650 Gold, I know it's overkill for the specs, but could not find a good 400~ watt PSU. I need help choosing a case for this build that does not have space for a GPU, and still has good front IO. If there are other general suggestions for the build they are also welcome.
14. Any recommendation for a super cheap mini PC that works well enough with Hackintosh? And yes, I expect used stuff, and I'm open to just parts themselves (i.e. no SSD, RAM, etc.), or any good deals out there. I just want something that performs better than a 2014 8GB Mac Mini without breaking bank.
15. I'm building the Silverstone SG12 to be used as a coding workstation/casual gaming rig (I needed something I could bring home on a plane once Covidtimes that was expandable to 128 Gb of RAM). I'll be using either an i5-9600K or i7-9700K (mostly single threaded for computationally intensive scripting) and a GTX 1060 GPU. The case suggests that I use a low-profile L/C cooler that vents into the PSU. Noctua says I could use moderate O.C., but I imagine that's in a case with better airflow. I wondered if it would be possible to add an AIO to cool the CPU instead and made two mock-ups using the Corsair Hydro Series H80i. I did my best to make everything close to scale (except for the airflow diagrams, which are approximate). Option 1: Adding the AIO rad vertically where the current fan is located (would need to add attachments since the originals would be in the removed HDD/SDD drive bays) Option 2: Drill a hole in the bottom and mount the AIO rad horizontally. Questions Do you think either of them would work? If so, which would be better for airflow? Is the improvement in the one that requires cutting enough to justify the cost to rent the circular saw and drill from Home Depot? Would they be better than the suggested scheme of venting into the PSU? I plan on using Coolermaster Fan Brackets to add the all the fans by securing them to the base and zip-tie-ing where possible. Is that reasonable? Is there any issue to adding metal below the motherboard? (I assume not since the case is aluminum, but maybe the paint is non-conductive?) P.S. The MoBo graphic is a bit off--the GPU won't actually be going across the RAM. Lol. P.P.S. Sorry for my bad Photoshopping. Haha. And also sorry if the images are huge...I'm not sure how to fix that on here.
16. Summary Intel nuked the NUC. (More seriously: Intel will stop making NUC products and hopes its partners will step up to take over the mini-PC space.) Quotes My thoughts It's a shame given they were doing a pretty good job at it. Hope more manufacturers join the mini-PC space going forward. 17. Hi everyone! I managed to lose the box containing all of my spare mounting brackets during moving. I am now stuck with the unenviable task of trying to find replacements. I just messaged coolermaster so hopefully that's fine. But it just dawned on my that I couldn't find any specific info about the aio. Not even the original model name. Before this I just assumed that they reused some of their other products but that doesn't seem to be the case. How could I find out?
18. THIS HAS BEEN A ALMOST 4+ YEARS BUILD FOR ME AND I'M FROM THE UNITED STATES. As it states this had been a 4+ years to get to this point to build this SILVER MISFIT. I've honestly have lost count of the cost of everything I've spent on building my system. Where old parts that became spare part to ending up in a second computer I made for someone else but that's for another post and time lol. I original started off with parts list: Case Phanteks Evolv Shift XT(silver)/750w platinum power supply combo(Was inspired by JAYZTWOCENTS from YouTube) Bought from Phanteks MoBo Asus X570I GAMING (ITX) bought through New egg CPU AMD 5600 bought through New Egg CPU COOLER PHANTEKS Glacier One WHITE RGB edition bought from Phanteks(Before they offered bundle with case & power supply) Ram OLOy OWL WHITE RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3600 bought through New Egg GPU GIGABYTE GTX 1080TI Gaming OC 11g white special edition bought used from ebay during the gpu apocalypse Storage Corsair Mp500 m.2 240gb bought from Newegg back in 2017 lol and the true starting point of this build PNY 1tb 2.5 ssd bought from Walmart Ran my system like that for a couple of months maybe longer. Before I did my first upgrade lol. Which was a ram upgrade by the same manufacturer OLOY and same kit just went from 16g to 32g. Which I also bought on NEWEGG lol. During that time I was looking into parts for a custom waterloop. Where I made my first noob water cooling mistake lol *sigh* I under estimated the size of the pump reservoir combo from Corsair. The one the size of 2 120mm stacked together. Yeah total noob mistake lol and only realized it once I had the box in had looking it over. Talk about a facepalm moment. I should of don't a return of it and got my money back but I decided to keep it. Figured I'd end up using for another build down the road. Which I did lol. Next upgrade I got were some high flow/pressure fans for the radiator on the AIO. Since I couldn't get the Phanteks T30-120 Fan that had come out and JAYZTWOCENTS had demonstrated. Without having to give up a left nut to scalpers. I instead bought a set of EK-Furious Meltemi 120 (1200-3500rpm) lol what I didn't realize was these were 35mm and wouldn't quite let the top of the fast go back on by a few mm. So I just ended leaving the top sitting on top not latched. As I was gathering all the water cooling pieces I needed to complete loop V1 Decided to go for all white fittings as an accent cooler matching with the ram and duktape was using around the fan edges of the AIO radiator since didn't have gaff tape like JAYZTWOCENTS lol. Hey it worked to help the air going through the radiator better. Help cool by at least 5° c. As for the fittings I bought a mix of Corsair, FreezeMod, and Barrow. I also decided to go soft tubing route at first to make it easier on myself with my first loop and allow me to do a proff of concept on the loop on how I wanted to do it. Which was 10mm ID/13mm OD 3/8in x 1/2in. Which was by PRIMOFLEX 10ft box bundle. The radiator I decided to go with Alphacool NexXxos ST30 V2 Full Copper Radiator 240, 120mm x 2, Dual Fan, Black because of the fact it had 5 g 1/4 ports. Which 4 were basically back to back which would be needed for me to fill the loop since I wasn't going to be able to run a reservoir in the loop do to lack of space and not trying to spend too much on water cooling parts lol The pump I finally found and would work for my build Ek-Loop DDC 4.2 PWM. It was the perfect size to fit in this SFF case and partly why I went with the tube size I picked lol For the waterblocks. I chose to go with what I could find without having to give up a body part to afford them lol. For the CPU I went with Hydro X Series XC7 White and for the GPU Bykski Gigabyte GTX 1080Ti Gaming OC 11G Full Coverage GPU Water Block - Clear (N-GV1080TIG1-X). As for the fluid I went with Corsair Hydro X clear premix since could get it cheap and I didn't feel like using any color fluid at the time. Here's pics of my very first loop from the sides only and before I filled the loop. Forgot to take more pics after getting it filled and system up and running. After a few months of having my system like that and using it on my days off I decided that I was ready to go hard line but before I could do that. I had to source a new top for the pump that would let me use g1/4 fittings. Which I found used on ebay and was the EK-XTOP DDC - Plexi that I ended up having to buy EKs mounting hardware since didn't get it when I bought the block. Then after watching another JAYZTWOCENTS upload lol I decided on what hard tubing I wanted to use after seeing the corsair frosted tubing he showed that looked amazing! And had to use it myself lol loop V2 first hard line set up pics incoming lol Yeah I know that the cleanest hard line setup on the gpu side or the cable management lol but considering this was my first time and made it harder on myself by watching to make sure both the gpu and the cpu got the coolest coming from the radiator. Which I saw as a must for my SFF BUILD. I have to say it came out pretty good. OH! At this point I also had come across a screaming deal I would of been stupid to past up on ebay for a brand new in box unopened 5900X for the price of a 5800X but not installed yet. Then my next upgrade after a few more months was a GPU I picked up on Ebay when prices had dropped for some new gen GPUs. I scored a Zotac RTX AMP HALO 8GB NON LHR version with waterblock just over MSRP and got ahold of a set of Phanteks T30-120 fans(3pack) finally straight from Phanteks but also decided the radiator wasn't thick enough to handle the heat soak that happens during long game playing since loop would start reaching up into the high 60°c to mid/high 70°c. I know this thanks to a temp sensor I put into the loop where I had the coolant coming out of the pump before splitting to go to the GPU/CPU and would randomly check Temps through Fan control and recommendation I got from JAYZTWOCENTS lol High Jay if you or your team is reading this by now but I digress... lol anyways.... as I was saying. I decided to also upgrade the radiator to a THICK BOY as Jay would say lol and since EKWB had a sale going on for the Monoblock for the ASUS X570I GAMING. I also picked that up since it was half of what is used to cost. Why not at this point lol and found a deal on deal on a 64g 4000mhz kit by OLOY on NEWEGG but this time wasn't white but damn did that ram kit look good and was a price that made it hard to resist lol and here's the current form loop v3 lol for now because I think I just might of found my dream GPU and I'm not going to say more then that till I'm sure I'm golden on it but here's loop v3 with the monster alphacool NexXxos monsta lol and Yes I kinda had to hotrod mod the case to make it fit all together lol but Damn it looks good! And yes I know some of the loop doesn't look the cleanest or greats but at least its functional/working lol. Though I admit I'm not sure how I Want to finish up the top lol. Got a few Idears kicking around in my head on what I might do. With being an over the road trucker and working on it when I can to tweak it and do upgrades when I can. I say it's looking good for being able to build my once in a lifetime dream pc build that I call "SILVER MISFIT" Crap! Just remember there's other upgrades I forgot to include but will later do a complete parts list later with everything in the build. But I need to get some sleep for an early morning delivery I have to make tomorrow. I do welcome any ideas on how to finish up the top of system and comments. Update 6/20/2023 Well instead of typing everything out that I used in my system I decided to make a pcpartpicker list and here's a link with as much as I could remember off the top of my head with prices I could find from the purchasing of items or it that was included with a purchase. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ponchaz/saved/wRbyWZ Didn't realize how much I spent on my system yeah my bank account definitely was hurting after all this.... even more after latest gpu upgrade I bought. Won't know for sure if I got the real deal or scam till I get home to check it out myself but at least I don't have to worry about porch pirates because have someone at home to make sure it gets brought in lol. Well till next time. TTFN LOL
19. Hi all, I'm planning to build a new SFF rig that I can more easily transport across the country for school. I've put together a loose PCPartPicker list, but any recommendations or changes are very welcome. Budget (including currency): 2500-3000 Canadian Dollars (including taxes & shipping), but obviously the lower the better Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (FPS, strategy, single-player RPG), school and creative work (writing & researching, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) Other details: PCPartPicker Part List CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor ($549.00 @ Newegg Canada) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D12L 60.09 CFM CPU Cooler ($115.90 @ Amazon Canada) Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B760-I GAMING WIFI Mini ITX LGA1700 Motherboard ($289.99 @ Amazon Canada) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory ($134.99 @ Best Buy Canada) Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($315.99 @ Amazon Canada) Video Card: Asus DUAL OC GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB Video Card ($809.00 @ Canada Computers) Case: Cooler Master MasterBox NR200 Mini ITX Desktop Case ($124.48 @ Amazon Canada) Power Supply: Cooler Master V850 SFX GOLD 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply ($199.99 @ Amazon Canada) Case Fan: Cooler Master SickleFlow 62 CFM 120 mm Fan ($9.99 @ Amazon Canada) Total: $2549.33 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2023-07-13 19:18 EDT-0400 Notes: I'd like to avoid tempered glass on the case because I plan to lug the thing around in a carry-on suitcase, so the risk of damage outweighs any aesthetic benefit for me Was thinking of switching to Intel this generation for the slightly faster single-core performance, as I've been playing a lot more FPS games recently 4070 seems like the best option for my budget, but if there are any other recommendations I'm all ears Thanks!
20. There hasn't been much if any improvement at all in this space in the past 5 years. SFX power supplies are still $100+ for anything decent. There's a lack of truly compact cases (with decent airflow) under $100. The fundamentals issues still exist: GPU's/CPU's in the desktop market demanding more power. Enthusiasts who spend $1000+ on a machine want the best performance possible. People don't want to pay more for less. Lack of coordination between manufacturers. Companies like Apple, MS and Sony can get powerful efficient yet small machines because they buy in bulk, sell in bulk and they pick parts that work well together. But a base of niche consumers buying different products from different companies won't get that bulk savings. I'd expect modest improvement, maybe somewhat faster in improvement than the last 5 years, but I'd still temper my expectations.
21. Budget (including currency): 3000 EUR Country: Nordics (Denmark/Sweden/Norway) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AAA games (Cyberpunk, Jedi: Survivor, etc.), Esport titles (CS:GO), Emulation (yuzu, etc.), CAD modelling and FEM analysis (Solidworks/CATIA, ANSYS), Music production (Ableton, Reason), AI (Tensorflow/Pytorch) Other details Planning to build in the NR200P MAX. Currently have a 1080p 60Hz monitor, thinking about going 1440p 144Hz. My mouse is an old Roccat Kone that has started to die, looking at a wireless replacement, such as the G305 or G PRO X. Any suggestions are very welcome here as well. Hi there! Long time watcher, first time poster, who recently started earning adult money after finishing my masters. I am currently on a Haswell (i7-4870HQ) based laptop that I got in 2016, the MSI GS30 + a desktop 1060 3GB in the docking station. It is extremely loud, very audible even at idle, thermal throttles even with agressive undervolting/underclocking, and has a nasty habit of the fan bearings dying (currently on fan replacement #4). An upgrade has been long overdue. I am an engineer, and beside doing some coding, AI and some virtualization and VM based things, I also do 3D modelling and printing in my free time. I also dabble in music production. I would like to go SFF for my first proper build, and I would like to use the NR200P MAX. I believe it is quite beginner friendly and would be a great option for me, but I also understand that this severely limits my options and increases costs for my motherboard choice. For the platform, I would like to go with an AMD 7800X3D based system, not only because it is pretty much the best thing you can get for the money, but also AMD's promise for supporting the AM5 socket for much longer than Intel generally supports theirs, means that I can just pop a new CPU in towards the end-of-life of AM5, should the need arise. For the motherboard, given that I'm looking for an ITX AM5 board, unfortunately the options are quite limited. I was going to go with the B650i AORUS ULTRA from Gigabyte, but unfortunately it seems that they are not selling it in Europe, and I have no wish to deal with importing it from overseas (and the difficulties, should I need to RMA it). I was looking at the MSI MPG B650I EDGE WIFI and the Asrock B650E PG-ITX WiFi. I would like to have 2.5G ethernet (they both have it), 3 SATA ports - this makes me lean towards the MSI board, and a sizeable amount of USB ports (as I have a lot of peripherals - MIDI keyboard, audio interface). I considered going for the X670 boards instead of the B650 ones for more ports, but I'm not sure if the extra price would be worth it, given as it is an ITX board, I wouldn't be able to use the extra PCIe lanes anyway (plus an USB hub is much cheaper haha). My brother (who has an NR200P) mentioned that some M-ATX boards (such as the Asrock B650M-HDV) do fit in the NR200P, as the max size is 244mm*226mm if I remember correctly. So if you have some M-ATX boards that could be options here, please let me know. I would like to completely avoid Asus after their recent crapshow with the warranty on their AM5 boards. I also owned an Asus laptop before this. That whole series of laptops had a well-documented hinge issue that cracks the casing over time, and Asus refused to honor the warranty, until I threatened to contact consumer protection, as the issue was clearly a widespread one arising from their crappy design. RAM-wise, I'm leaning towards 32GB of DDR5, but maybe could even go with 64GB, seeing as I use some VMs and a wide variety of RAM hungry applications as well. Help would be especially appreciated here, as I'm a bit out of the loop with what an ideal pairing with the 7800X3D would be, with regards to timings and speed. For storage, I would like to get an 1-2TB NVMe SSD as a primary boot drive, but also some SATA SSDs as storage for larger programs and games, so I would really appreciate if you could suggest some great options for both form factors. Despite its size, the NR200P MAX has 2 mounts for 2.5" SSDs at the front, and it even has a 3.5" mount on the power supply cage, so I might even throw in my 8TB 3.5" HDD from the dock for archival storage. (Therefore a motherboard with at least 3 SATA connectors would be nice) For the GPU, I have to go NVIDIA unfortunately. CUDA support is important for me, and I also use some AI model training frameworks, where AMD support is a bit lack-luster to my knowledge (CAD software also tends to play much nicer with NVIDIA). I would go with the 7900XTX, but for the aforementioned reasons I'm planning to go with a 4080. If anyone has any suggestion on which partner models I should consider here, please let me know. Power supply and an AIO are included in the NR200P MAX already, so the only other parts I think I need are some slim 120mm fans for the bottom of the case, probably Noctuas. As mentioned in the title, looking to upgrade my monitor and mouse as well. Thank you for reading and your suggestions in advance, and I hope you have a lovely day!
22. This is more just genuine curiosity, but is there a reason we don't see more low-power T chips from Intel in SFF builds? For instance, the 19-13900T has a max turbo TDP of 106W (allegedly). With 24 cores/32 threads, wouldn't that be a great chip even with slightly less performance than it's non-T sibling?

24. So today my AMD firepro W4100 arrived. Bracket was full height, PC is a small form factor, needs half height. No 3D printer, no problem - It works! :)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi guys, not a long time ago I decided to swap from the p400a ATX format to NR200 ITX format, mostly because of the huge size of p400a and the fact that I had to carry it 5 times last month. That's why I'm coming to the best place where I can seek help with my new compact build. I'm planning on push-bot pull-top configuration. I got 3x Arctic p12 slim fans, 2x on the bottom in push, and one on the top with the fan included in accessories or I will just add another p12 slim, and I'm 90% sure the radiator fans are pushing in. I could also put 2 fans from the case on top and the last 3rd p12 on the back, but I think there is no space (120mm and I found information that there is only space for a 92mm fan). What do you guys think about that configuration of parts and airflow, what would you change and what important tips do you have for me?
