  1. I love Dreamcasts... Underrated console? Justifiable flop? Poor release timing? Say what you will, but I think they're great, in fact I have 3 of them. But unfortunately, the GD-ROM drive died on my daily driver, and without some costly parts from the modding scene, it wasn't worth resurrecting right now. So I stored it's guts in an anti-static bag, and decided that the case is going to form the basis of my first Small Form Factor build. Now I've seen DC-PC builds before... but never has there been a clean build, capable of gaming somewhat respectably. Most are from years back, built on ancient hardware, or without dedicated GPU's; The only one that did have one, also had pipes coming out of the side due to an AIO. So that doesn't count imho. Another build had a compelte external desktop PSU...you see what I'm getting at here Rough spec STX motherboard. Smaller than ITX, but bigger than a NUC. If you've not heard of it I don't blame you... CPU will be an i5, probably a 6400T to help what will undoubtedly be 'tricky' thermals. PCIe powered GPU. For both simplicity and size, it'll likely be a 1050 mini. 8Gb DDR4, single stick of sodimm, budget as well as space restrictions here. SSD, capacity undecided. External power brick...because I haven't got the space to build that internally. *EDIT* Actual spec ASUS H110-S2 STX Motherboard Skylake i7-6700T, 35w TDP Modified GTX750 mini(upgrade to 1050 or 1060 still planned) 2x4Gb Corsair DDR4 Sodimm SSD capacity...still undecided. DELL 230w brick, combined with a KMPKT Mini internal PSU I'm currently struggling with the setup of the power delivery, which effects the component selection more than with a normal build. For example, the power delivery I end up going with dictates whether I have an M.2 SSD or I can get away with a separate one and use the onboard slot for WiFi(STX boards all have dual M.2 slots). Also the size inherently means bad thermals, so whilst I want to keep it as original as possible, there's a high possibility of the rear of the console, I/O panel etc being entirely mesh. For anyone wondering, a Dreamcast has an internal volume of just under 2.8L.......so this should be fun... ***Currently seeking advice over on the Small Form Factor forums, about the viability of this build when using discreet graphics. The space limitations are real....But it'll 100% be built in some form or another, so I guess I can do a brief introduction post about it***

  3. Hi guys, I wanted to design my own dream build (during quarantine) with a strong CPU (3900X) cooled by a 280 AIO, and a regular air-cooled GPU (2070S), all fitted in the smallest case possible. I also want to use regular components with no tweaking etc. The prototype would be a 3D printed frame and laser-cut acrylic. After that, I would love to use some metal - aluminum or steel. I wanted to show you my design and ask about your opinion( compatibility, airflow, materials used etc..). It is just a beginning, so whole construction is very simple and not so well-thought, but it should be a proof-concept to show, that it´s possible. What I can´t really draw now, are cables and AIO tubes, that is one thing I am afraid of.
  4. I've always loved small form factor cases over bling and led. The build below is my dream build. Having discovered £1 listings on ebay and getting some really good prices for my old hardware I set about building this mini beast. It had to be small, quiet and pack a punch. Fitting the dual AIO's in was a challenge but once the orientation is right it goes in nicely. The CPU AIO radiator is actually sitting over the PSU and the GPU radiator sits over the CPU block. I found this to be the best orientation to avoid kinks. I only use the PC for gaming and Revit which is primarily single threaded so figured a cooler 9700k would be a better fit for the small form factor than a furnace 9900k. Temps 50C/60c gaming CPU GPU RTX games 62c with normal games running around 50c. All in all I'm over the moon with it. Just tempted to swap out to the better noctua fans on the rads. I'll post another pic in its second habitat. The living room tonight. OLED 4k/60hz HDR single player games are a sight to behold. 5. Hello, after first posting on this forum 4 years ago about creating a super compact computer case, which sadly never happened when I realized how many measurements had to be exact if everything was going to fit. I am now back here with my journey from wanting to build a super compact computer case to building a huge 54-liter case and finally ending up building a tiny 8.7-liter case that you can see here. After getting scared of the number of measurements I decided to give up on the case idea and just water cool the computer I had. So in 2015 Snow 1.0 was created. This was my first-time water cooling and I learned a lot from it. Pictures of Snow 1.0: One and a half years later in late 2016 I got access to a CNC plasma cutter and decided it was time to try again. At the time I was in love with the cases from Parvum Systems but I didn't like that they were made from acrylic and not aluminum like my previous Phanteks Enthoo Evolv. So after studying their cases, I managed to create a 3D model of the case I wanted to build. All measurements had to be eyeballed since Parvum did not provide any. Here is my final 3D model and dxf of the completed case: And some pictures: The case was cut on a CNC plasma cutter in 3mm thick aluminum. I then milled cubes from solid aluminum that I then drilled and tapped threads into. These were in all corners of the case to hold it together since I did not want to weld anything. Some final pictures of how the Snow 2.0 turned out: Fast forward to mid-2018 and I was tired of carrying around a huge 15Kg, 54 Liter computer everywhere. It was time for Snow 3.0 to happen. I took everything I learned from creating Snow 2.0 and started modeling my new SFF case. I wanted similar to the Dan case A4-SFX and the Louqe Ghost S1. I was more careful this time modeling since everything had to fit very snug this time around. Making cubes in every corner to screw it together would take too much space in the case. Since I don't own a welder for aluminum and I wanted the side panels to be magnetic I had to go with steel. The case was cut with a CNC water cutter for about 136 USD in 2mm thick steel. If you can, use a water cutter. Makes for way less sanding compared to plasma cutting. It will save you hours of sanding... trust me. Sadly I don't have many pictures of the building process of Snow 3.0 but here are some shots of the final case: In each corner, there is a nut welded onto the case and a round-head bolt that I then place magnets onto to hold the side panels firmly onto the case. The bolts make for easy adjustment so that the side panel goes flush with the rest of the case. Some specs and facts: Snow 1.0 and 2.0: Gigabyte GA-Z97 MX Gaming 5 Intel Core i7 4790K 8GB HyperX RAM Nvidia GTX 780 Ti 80GB Intel SSD 1TB WD HDD EVGA G2 Supernova 850W Watercooling Snow 3.0: Msi Z370i Gaming Pro Carbon AC Intel Core i7 8700K 16GB Corsair RAM Nvidia GTX Titan X (Pascal) 500GB Samsung 850 Evo SSD Corsair SF 600w Cryorig C1 CPU air cooler I’m more than happy to share any 3D models or dxf files if anyone would want them. If there is any questions, feedback or something I missed, please let me know and I'll try to answer it!
  6. Hello people of Linusland, you might recognise me from SFFland! Thought I would show my Lone L5 build here in all of its glory. It's a tiny little monster I use for my typography/graphic design practice, works like a dream! Plus it's slient! I went with this setup due to the desktop being able to fit into a backpack which is handy to have if you do design. I hope to add another M.2 in the near future. I've currently got it paired with a Wacom Cintiq Pro 13, but a note to GPU manufacters. Please add a USB Type C port onto a Low Profile GPU so I don't have to use the Wacom link please. 7. Short story, Me and a few friends are working together to make a PC inside a PS2 chassis (fat), we have been planning it out for a while now and just ordered an old PS2 to get accurate measurements because we can't find accurate measurements online, we are working off of one image from a forum 7 years ago and some guy's sketchup model, but so far we might have it theoretically working with an optical drive and internal FlexATX PSU, I attached some images and here is a PC parts list (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KH2cmq), there might be enough room if we lightly modify the heatsink for the GPU to have some of those controller port to USB adapters, as well as a rear 3d-printed or acrylic backplate with custom holes for the I/O and airflow cut into it. questions and ideas/flaws you might see would be appreciated, thanks!
  8. Hi Everyone, I am in need of some help, I am trying to advance my skills in drafting and design, and am looking to upgrade an HP z230 SFF that I was given by my school. I don't have a massive budget so I am hoping to upgrade this machine instead of buying/building a new one (though I hope to do a build when I graduate). I am looking to max the specs on this thing so it will run Vectorworks, MatLab, and AutoCAD as well as it possibly could. Was thinking of upgrading to 16-32 gb of RAM, a SATA 3 SSD, an i7-4790 (instead of the i5 it currently has) and a decent graphics card. What I need help with is the Graphics Card. Vectorworks recommends something with 4gb of vram or more.... What should I go with? If I have to upgrade the PSU is that possible? I know that this may seem like it's not worth it, but I figured I'd explore this upgrade path rather than try to go right for a new build. I also like the SFF case design because of it's size. I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks, J
  9. Well here it is. The first build I've completed since my 2012 budget PC (Phenom x4 955 + GTX 460, later upgraded to an FX-8320 + HD 7870). The jump is insane. Overall, I'm super pleased with how it all turned out. I opted for a SFFPC for the ability to haul it to/from a studio I work at, friends' houses, several upcoming StarCraft LANs, and the a e s t h e t i c s. My main use case is light gaming (StarCraft 2, CS GO, etc), photo editing, and light video editing. Front panel IO: ✔ Back 2.5" media drive. The mess of cables as I figured out how to route everything. You'll notice I removed the dual ML120 fans on the Noctua heatsink and added a default NF-F12. I found the dual fan setup to have a pretty neglible effect on temps and it just added noise. The finished station. Full build notes: I tried a bunch of different configurations (rebuilt this thing 3 times), so I got a really good feel for the case and what it can do. GPU -My GTX 1070 is a no-brand OEM that I shucked from a prebuilt... If you look at the PCB markings and the cooler design though, you can see it's actually just a no-branded MSI Aero. I was initially unsure if the GPU would fit because the length of the card is officially listed at 269mm and the max GPU length for this case is supposedly 267.5mm, but I read on some forum posts and a Dutch (?) review that you could actually fit a 270mm GPU. So I went ahead and risked it... it's tight, but it does indeed fit. -Other posts warn that if you're using a 267mm+ card, the front IO won't fit. I found this to be untrue. It's tight and you have to kink the cables a bit, but I did get all the front IO plugged in and working. The best way to do this was to remove the IO, install the GPU, then rescrew the IO in after angling the cables. YMMV though because cables might not reach the headers depending on your mobo's layout. The USB 3.0 and power pins were especially difficult, but you can see how I ended up routing it (under the GPU). -I had no trouble whatsoever with the GPU's temperatures. I found out that even without the top intake fan it peaked at 79c which is acceptable. My GPU is a blower-type though. PSU + Cable Management -I chose to orient the PSU leftwards so the intake isn't fighting with the CPU cooler for air, then I oriented my Silverstone SFX-to-ATX adapter so the mesh-holed side was on the same side as the intake fan (giving the PSU a bit more fresh air). This also give you more room between the PSU and case allowing you a space to stash cables. -I saw a bunch of reviews and posts where people cut a hole into the SFX-to-ATX adapter to get the power cable routed through. You don't need to do this. The case comes with a little "riser" that has a gap for the power cable to route through. It's hard to explain this part (didn't get any pictures), but the best way to attach the PSU is to remove this little 'riser part' (there are 4 screws holding it), attach the SFX-to-ATX bracket to the 'riser,' attach the PSU, then finally attach the 'riser'+ SFX-to-ATX bracket + PSU to the case. -Can't really recommend anything special on cable management. Just try to remove as much excess length on the cords as possible with zipties. Drives -I have 3 2.5" drives in this thing. I stashed one behind the motherboard tray and velcro'd the other two onto the PSU. I like the velcro'd method because it hides a lot of the cable management. -I did initially try putting two of the drives on the bottom tray, but I don't necessarily recommend it. It becomes a tight fit with a tower CPU cooler (some CPU coolers won't fit at all if drives are down there) and it adds more headaches with the cable management (it's another different 'area' you have to route the cables to). Also, the rubber standoffs for the 2.5" aren't thick enough IMO and it becomes difficult to plug in the SATA/power cable. Fans + Cooling + CPU cooler -The top fan is set to intake and the rear fan is set to exhaust. The CPU cooler is exhausting rightwards, expelling heat out the rear. The idle temperatures are high with this setup, but the load temperatures aren't. -Pretty sure the second fan on the CPU cooler doesn't do much, so I'll probably remove it for decreased noise. -I did run this build for a while with the stock Wraith Stealth cooler and it got unacceptably hot with the above fan setup (85c+ CPU under load). This is because this setup has a lot of 'dead spots' with no airflow and the ambient case temp just climbs. With the stock cooler, I found it better to use the rear fan as intake, then flip the PSU around so its fan acts as an exhaust. Not ideal for the life of the PSU, but it knocked temperatures down a full 10+ degrees.
  10. Hello, I'm new here, altough I built my pc earlier this year and I loved it, but everything went so smooth, it was really easy, so I'd like to try something I have never seen done before. Anyway, I have this Dell Optiplex 790 SFF which I think looks really awesome, how about I fit a relatively powerful (I'd like to go with Ryzen 7 3700X and RTX2070 Super) gaming machine inside? There is enough space inside. What do you people think? Anyone as excited to see it happen as I am? So this is what I am starting with:
  11. Hello again guys. It's been over a year since the end of our indiegogo campaign and over 2 months since our last pre-order sale. Many of you are wondering why we still did not start retail sale of Sentry. Now is the time for explanation. You probably remember, that DR ZĄBER is a company established a long time before we even thought about this hobby project and its main business is far away from computer cases industry (we do not make Sentry cases for a living). Because of that we could take a different approach than other pc hardware companies, take our time, gather all the feedback you were giving us for the last year, talk about possible improvements and make better pc case. After encountering issues with production and deliveries we have decided to take a step back and figure out how to resolve them before continuing with the production. We have launched a limited pre-order sale at the end of January to test out few improvements including fast worldwide courier shipments by DHL and few small organisational improvements in the manufacturing/assembling process. While DHL shipping seems like a correct solution for the shipping issues, we still are not happy with the production process to the point where we believe that design updates are necessary. With that said, if we are to update the designs and go over those updates with our subcontractor, we might as well improve the functionality of the case where we can. Thus we think now is the time to start designing SENTRY 2.0.Like you all know (we are repeating this over and over again) this is a community project. We designed Sentry basing on community feedback and without it we would not succeeded. Because of that we don't see any reason why we should change this approach. Next version of Sentry will be also designed basing on the feedback we did/will receive from you.PLANNED CHANGES: 1. Bigger ventilation area 2. Less screws to screw the top cover 3. Less types of screws 4. Torx screws instead of hex screws (if we will be able to find a supplier for black ones) 5. Improved Riser Clamping System (RCS) 6. Redesigned top hdd/ssd holding bracket 8. Kensington lock 9. Wifi antenna holes with improved shape for one-tool assembly and rotation lock 10. Vertical stand rubber feet attached without glue 11. Two additional holes in vertical stand for symmetry of installation 12. Two 3.5” HDD mounts in the GPU compartment instead of 2.5” mounts 13. 120mm AIO Water Cooling mount in the GPU compartment 14. SFX-L not supported anymore due to various issues and for the sake of 120mm AIO 15. Chassis mass reduction where possible 16. Transport package redesign for reduced shipping cost and packaging time. 17. Zip tie mount points for cable management 18. Motherboard IO backplate mount update 19. PSU mount clearance improvements for IEC C14 connector 20. Online-only manual 21. No white colour version until our subcontractor is ready 22. No quad 2.5” drive brackets 23. PCI slot brackets not included anymore 24. Economic postal package not available anymore, only DHL courier shipping. 25. Relocating internal middle structural element to support slightly bigger ITX GPUs (Gigabyte/MSI) 26. Optimised air pocket above the GPU IDEAS REJECTED: Motherboard back-side access panel Internal dust filters Front panel USB type-C connector Front panel Audio Jacks Permanent screwing for the tool-less vertical stand Chassis external size increase to accommodate bigger GPUs Case handle on top of the case Windowed case cover FEATURE GALLERY: RENDERS: As you see there will be more than just few changes. Please let us know what you think about all of this. Maybe we forgot about something which you think it is important to have? We will appreciate your help. Thanks!
  12. Hi guys! I have the phanteks fan intaking air in front-bottom, an Arctic F14 intaking on front top, and the rad exhausting at the bottom. I've set the clc to max out at 80% and the throttling eased up, but I still reaching 87 °C on the blower card with 100% fan. Could I ease this If I reconfigure the fans to go all intakes and full positive pressure? (Front exhausting is not a good idea in this case, becouse the panel reflects hot air back to the intake.) Should I try to ziptie a slim 120mm noctua to the top? I think the arctic fan is simply so strong, that steals air from my Blower fan. Or sould I just ditch the front-top intake, and intake only through the bottom, and let my Graphics card to be the exhaust? Or any other ideas? I simply love the look of this case, it fits my setup extremly well, and portability isn't too hard either. I just want to brimg down the GPU temps to around 80°C.
  13. I want to install rx 570 on my HP SFF PC . Is it possible that i make it work by using pcie extender and a power supply that only powers the card using the 8 pin connector NOTE:The second psu will be placed outside the case and power the card using the 8-pin connector while the oem hp psu will power the mobo and the pc
  14. I am going to university next year and I wanted to build a PC to take with me, one that can game but also do some machine learning and computing related tasks as I am applying to Computer Science. Also do some very light editing of videos and photos. I have the following part list: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X GIGABYTE AORUS B450 I PRO MSI RTX 2070 AERO ITX Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Dual Channel Kit 512 GB ADATA SX6000 M.2 SSD Seagate Barracuda Guardian 4TB Hard Drive Corsair SF600, 80+ Gold, 600W Velka 5 Case Any thoughts?
  15. I need some help in choosing a case and motherboard for a new PC build. I'm looking to replace my Laptop which hasn't moved from my desk for 3+ years and making a mini-pc is the way I want to go as at least I can upgrade parts in the future (cue laptop regret). I've specced out some basic parts already for this new system so you can see where I'm going with the build: PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6 GB Phoenix OC Video Card Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA P2 650 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply 4k Monitor: tbd Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-12-11 14:28 GMT+0000 PC use: It'll need to be power efficient and it's not intended for gaming. Instead, it'll be used for some data crunching / compiling, some VM, video editing, plex media server and as an encoding/streaming PC. Currently I game and stream from the same PC. My i7-6850 does it, but limited encoding and there a noise cost. I'd likely keep an underclock profile in the BIOS for 90% of use during daily menial tasks and then an overclock profile for when I'm working on a project and need to unleash the full Ryzen potential. Kinda similar to the system in the > We built a PC more efficient than a console! < video that LTT recently released. The space I have is fairly limited which is why I'd love to have a small form factor case like a Parvum Systems case or Ncase M1 But the only problem I have with that (other than the 2x cost of MiniITX) is that I wouldn't have any space to put my Elgato card for game capture The smallest Micro ATX case I could find was the InWin 301, but surely there's smaller options than that? Can anyone recommend a small case that would fit a MicroATX or is my only option a MiniITX and using OBS NDI for game capture?
  16. I recently took the plunge and upgraded my 750 ti which was beginning to chug horribly to the sapphire RX 590 Special Edition that I found an excellent deal on eBay for manufacturer refurbished. In terms of performance, it's fantastic, I'm getting great fps on ultra settings on 1080p on a lot of the games I play (Witcher 3, Doom etc.). However, when playing games, it is incredibly loud, to the point that there's no way I could play anything without noise cancelling headphones on; it sounds like there's an industrial AC unit on my desk. I've checked the fan curve, and the fans are at about the lowest they can be whilst still giving a sensible temperature under load. I've not overclocked it at all, it's just running at stock speeds. It's currently in a fairly small form factor case which puts it right above a hot PSU (EVGA Hadron Air), so I'm wondering whether getting a bigger case and giving it more room to breathe will bring temps and noise down or if it's just a really noisy card. Was just wondering if anyone has this card or a similar sapphire card in their set up as has found the same issues. Was considering upgrading my case anyway so if its worth it I'll do it, but if it's just a hot, noisy card no matter how much air it gets, it's gonna be going back on eBay real soon. Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated.Cheers!
  17. Hi all! I'm currently onwning a small fo factor gaming PC in a FD node 202. My issue is: temps or sound levels. Components: Ryzen 5 3600 cpu MSI B450i mobo Gigabyte RTX 2080 blower (Turbo OC) Seasonic 650 sfx-l psu My cooling is the problem here. I don't care if my machine is loud under gaming or productivity loads, but recently it started to overheat or ramp up fans while watching youtube or netflix. Either way, it's annoying, so I decided i will swap my case that can fit at least a 120 AIO (For extra credits I would like to use the Arctic liquid freezer II with its 38mm thick rad). So far looked at the evolv shift, but that GPU temps wasn't astonishing. I would like to receive recommendations for sff cases at the same budget, where Ivan fit my current PSU woth its pretty short factory cables, looks acceptable on my desk and can fit any AIO. Could you help me out?
  18. I just wanted to see if i should upgrade as i don't want ruin the hear of my build as originally i built the SFF PC as a way for portable gaming on a Asus B350m-A Motherboard with aftermarket heatsinks on the mosfets Ryzen 2400G at 3.9ghz with a Noctua Cooler idk what one but keeps it cool and chill with hardcore gaming 4x4gb ddr4 XMP 2800mhz with Vega 11 Graphics at 1400mhz core and 1500mhz memory 256mb Sata SSD new 8tb Hard drive for back up of my main fills but in general i don't want to take away the purpose of this build, if im gonna upgrade might as well go for a ryzen 2700 and a better graphics card than a 1650 but if i wanted to keep the SFF case i need a SFF gpu and the 1650 is the newest card but will it be a waste on a 2400g t this build is one of my favorites kinda a show off on what i can do PC wise, and Intergrated graphics have gone a long way intel kinda sucks on that part
  19. Hey guys! It's been awhile, you can check out my last build log in my signature however it got converted into a work desktop and I needed something for gaming and home use again. I bought this Louqe S1 on Kickstarter ALMOST 12 MONTHS AGO!!!! Well... it's finally here, more pictures of the case will roll in as it is taken apart to install the hardware. I'll throw some specs and first pictures in down below, I do need a name for this build... Tiny? Compact? Help me think of something. 21. I’m planning to build an SFF as a daily driver to my girlfriend. I’m located in China now where some parts cost much lower and some cost more than those back in the US. Right now I have decided on some parts but open to suggestions. Not going to be gaming on the system much, the system would be paired with an 4K display. Geek A50( similar to Dan Case A4) or Node 202 for case Ryzen 5 3600 16/32Gig of RAM(undecided on model) 1T C2000 Pro Corsair SF450 RX580 or GTX1060 Still haven’t decide on Motherboard (would prefer WiFi and Bluetooth built in) Cooler Based on her usage I lean towards for 32gig of ram but not sure if the price has stabilized yet. The only overclocking that I would do might be bumping the cpu to 3600x speeds and syncing all cores. Hope the final build would be in the quiet side under load
  22. I have a dell optiplex 9010 SFF that i opened up to blow the dust out. i put it back together and plugged it in. it turned on on its own but it does not display anything. Fans spin, Hard drive spins, lights turn on, CD drive spins (which i can also open by pressing the button) but nothing comes on the screen. i plugged the monitor and cable into another PC and it works just fine. i tried swapping the RAM, which did nothing. i tried restarting the computer multiple times and still same result. the computer does not beep any codes. i have a 2nd identical computer and i am very tempted on opening that up to see if i did something wrong but i am afraid that that computer will also stop working. is there something else i can try? i would like to keep it working if i can, but it is 4 years old.
  23. The SFF bug bit me and I built out an ML08B-H, the nice part of which other than the handle is it takes an almost full size GPU. I figured that I could take it back home over the winter with me in my luggage. However, I didn't trust it to go in my checked luggage and I realized it is wider than the allowed carry-on size. I put the thing up on CL hoping someone would buy it as I spent a bit of time customizing it and rather just start fresh, but odds of someone wanting it are slim in this area. So, now I am searching for a case for: ITX, SFX-L, small full length gpu, 75mm cooler height, though I would be amenable to have to go buy a CLC. I happen to have a SG13 sitting here for another purpose and realized my GPU fit in it. It is practically backpack-able, but I was wondering if other might offer their recommendations especially those who travel with their PC.
  24. Hi! New to this forum but long-time fan of the channel so I hope I'm doing this right. Reason: I'm currently planning to build a new PC because my old one is rather slow and noisy (i7 3770 and GTX 760 OEM). It was a pre-built system so the upgradeability is not great which is why I decided to go completely new. I'd also like to go SFF for this build for aesthetics and portability. I probably won't use the glass side panels so I don't care as much about how it looks inside (also I don't really like RGB). Application: I'd like to do some rendering and a bit of 1080p - 1440p 60-144 FPS gaming. - CPU: R9 3900X - CPU cooler: EVGA CLC 240 (probably) - AIO fans: Noctua NF-A12x25 - GPU: Zotac 2070 Super Mini (already bought) - Motherboard: Gigabyte x570 I Aorus Pro WIFI - RAM: 2x16 3600MHz G.Skill Trident Z Black/White (17-19-19-39 if I recall correctly) - Storage: 2x 2TB Intel 660p (m.2 NVMe) - PSU: Corsair SF600 650W 80 Plus Gold - Case: Nouvolo Steck with expansion unit - Peripherals: Already bought but will upgrade monitor at some point in the future - OS: Already bought Question 1: I am still not sure on the AIO choice. I would have gone with Deepcool as they seem to have a very generous replacement policy in case of a leak, but their pumps are all taller than 70mm which is the maximum for the Steck case. Other than that the performance between different AIOs seems to be pretty much the same, all Asetek pumps and very similar radiators. Any thoughts on this? Question 2: I am also considering getting some Conductonaut, even though the difference it makes might be small. Bad idea? Question 3: Will I need bottom intake fans? As the CPU is watercooled anyway, it would only benefit the GPU. Any help is appreciated! Cheers!
