Please help. There must be a way to let discord properly use my available upload speed to properly screen share. I have changed some settings in discord. I have discord nitro to allow me to set any stream quality and FPS, but no matter what it will fluctuate wildly. I'll see Best ~7Mb/s upload and Worst <1Mb/s. Nothing else will be using the Upload at that time. My upload can be up to ~20Mb/s based on speed tests, I would love to have a setting or something inside the app that sets the target upload speed in kB/s so that I can stop the complaints of broken sound or black and white blurs

I feel like this maybe be a dumb question but I've been having some trouble were my mic (at2020 hooked up to by gen 3 scarlet solo) will get a roughly 3 second delay if I've either been screen sharing or playing an graphics intense game and especially star citizen it happens consistently its fixed if I unplug the scarlet and plug it back in. but that only last until I happens again I've reset my windows 2 times done all sorts of driver updates and clean installs. I even got a powered usb hub to help with some cutting in and out I was having which worked along with some settings changes in focusrites software. My mic has also been crackling when I screenshare on discord and I cant use my camera and screenshare or else my computer will freak out and shut off all my usb peripherals then they will come back on. Im not sure what is causing the problem either a graphics card motherboard or even the usb chip. I've had these problems for at least 2 years now and I just wanna find an answer. any suggestions are very much appreciated!! Its been a few months and the issue persists. I noticed that whenever I use screenshare in certain applications, the usb reconnects and disconnects rapidly, it started off with skype's screenshare, where it only happens occasionally, where all usb devices, including the usb headers on my motherboard, will disconnect and reconnect and occasionally do it again, until the the screenshare is stopped. I decided to ignore it since it wasn't that bad yet. One day I tried using my phone as a wireless controller, using remote desktop on my android device, and the problem got worse when the screenshare was used (default by the app), the next time I noticed the issue was on discord, when sharing screen, I noticed it only happens when I shared any tab other than the discord tab, the disconnecting and reconnecting started again, this time even more rapidly. I have to get this solved as I require screensharing for school related skype or zoom calls, and also sometimes it resets my 360 radiator, during gaming, and suddenly slows down all the fans, which may result in my cpu overheating. I have tried uninstalling the universal serial bus controllers in my device manager, which did not work. Another small problem is that ICUE sometimes glitches out when the PC is turned on, resetting ICUE fixes it though, I don't know if its related or not.

Dear strangers, After recently getting a new graphics card for my pc, I've noticed a thing wrong with Discord and Microsoft Teams screensharing. Everytime I try to screenshare it starts to stutter/lag every couple of seconds and if I actually click on what screen or application to share it starts lagging uncontrollably and no one else in the call can hear me anymore. I've tried the following things already: Dissable and enable hardware acceleration on Discord and Windows 10 Factory reset my Windows Reinstall the newest Nvidia Drivers Try every build of Discord available to me, release, canary and PTB Set my DNS to Google's Scanned for viruses Update my sound drivers My specs and other information is: Ryzen 5 3600 Aorus Pro B550M MSI RTX 3060 Ti Gaming X Corsair Vengeance 32GB RGB pro 3600mhz RAM Nvidia Geforce GameReady drivers version 496.76 Windows 10 Education build 19044 If anyone has any other ideas of things to try, please let me know.

I have two monitors: A 1440p 170hz (Primary) And a 1080p 70hz (Secondary) The problem is that any type of screen recording in my primary monitor (screen sharing, recording, streaming, even screen shots) looks super bright, blurry and very lagged in the case of streaming and recording. While if I do the same on my secondary monitor seems to work perfectly. Hey there, I have Audio problems, whenever I start a screenshare or even capture nvidia broadcast in OBS Studio, then my audio cuts for seconds, then I hear a bit, it cuts off.. etc. At the beginning of this week I upgraded from an Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 OC to an Asus TUF RTX 3090 OC and switched my Corsair RM850X PSU to a Seasonic Prime GX-1000 ATX PSU. I already tried DDU with no success. I have a GoXLR and reinstalled those drivers. Attached is a sound file with the audio problems, when I activate the Nvidia Broadcast Source in OBS Studio. How do people stream games in HDR to friends? When I say "stream", think Zoom screenshare, not Twitch. I use Discord, and it only streams in SDR. When playing HDR games, everything is blown-out because Discord doesn't do any tone mapping. This has got to be a super common problem now that many people have HDR-capable displays (even HDR400 does something). Windows 11 will automatically enable HDR for supported displays by default, so this issue will only get worse over time. What solution do you use? Is there another video streaming client available? Is there anything I can use to tonemap native HDR game footage prior to streaming? Windows Auto HDR + OBS Preview Window I've been looking at solutions, and the only one I've come up with is to disable native HDR in the game and use Windows 11's Auto HDR feature w/ OBS's preview window. Doing that allows you to play in HDR while someone watching you only sees SDR. Pretty handy, but there are quite a few quirks. OBS issues OBS does not transfer game audio like Discord. This is the biggest issue with this method. You have to put the preview window fullscreen to get the full res, and it's going to be choppier than native. It's also gonna need to be on a second monitor and can only get as large as that monitor's resolution. You can put the preview in a window and minimize it, but it needs to be sized properly which will never be the same as native res. Windows Auto HDR things to know Auto HDR requires you enable HDR prior to opening the game (toggle HDR with WIN+ALT+B). Normally, Windows 11 will automatically switch Windows into HDR mode when playing a fullscreen HDR game, so you no longer have to do it manually like in Windows 10. Auto HDR isn't supported in every game. I'm not sure if Auto HDR will work in all games that have native HDR implementations. Auto HDR worked fine in Hitman 3, the game I'm testing. Auto HDR runs in your SDR space, so it might be at 8-bit color if you haven't configured SDR for 10-bit. I manually configure this in the nVIDIA Control Panel, but it might do it automatically; who knows. Best to set it yourself to be sure. Native HDR should always look better than Auto HDR because the game can do a lot more to make the native HDR presentation look good whereas Auto HDR can only use whatever's available in SDR land (typically only gamma and brightness). If you use SpecialK to add HDR where Auto HDR isn't supported, you run into the same streaming issues as native HDR as it hooks into the game itself. Auto HDR runs one step before the final output for your display (my assumption), so Windows is technically only running the SDR game. This is why streaming works. Your monitor needs drivers for Windows, or it will default to 1499 nits. That results in ridiculous amounts of clipping and even HDR for YouTube videos will look oversaturated and blown-out. On my LG C1 OLED, I had to use Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) to set the peak brightness the HDMI EDID info. After doing so, all HDR in Windows looks amazing, even YouTube. Highly recommend you configure that regardless of Auto HDR. The SDR brightness slider supposedly affects the resulting Auto HDR peak brightness. If you set it to the lowest value, it should result in a correct Auto HDR. I haven't verified this myself because it's difficult to compare when a game's native HDR has its own calibration setting that might not be accurate to the resulting output. For me, I leave this where I have it since it's close enough to 0, and I don't mind clipping if it's only on the brightest lights. That's all about Auto HDR, but what about other folks? What are you using? I'm really curious.

My DIscord on my iMac 2015 has a few bugs. It has a sound that sounds like a gun shooting at full volume when I use my Razer Kraken headphones. It also decided to give my mouse a 6fps frame cap when I share my screen like somehow its the most demanding thing possible. Any help/advice is appreciated.HELPMEPlease

I know, it seems complicated to undertand but I'll try to make it as clear and short as I can, so in first place, i wanna use my laptop as my secondary screen , but "surprisingly" when I managed to get all the screen sharing thing done with a synergy alternative called "Barrier" I realised that I couldn't share the any windows that I want to share to the other screen, this may sound logical to you, but if I say to you that windows screen share lets you do that, then things get worse, because you'll think, ok if that's the problem why you don't use windows screenshare?, I dont have wifi and bluetooth in my motherboard, so windows don't let my use this feature even if the two PC's are connected to the same wifi network, so I'm posting this hoping that anyone can reply with an alternative, I've done windows app sharing over wifi with different PC's before but was so long ago that I can't remember what program I used :( ,Thanks for reading to this part of the post and sorry for the extension I want to explain my problem as clear and detailled as possible, if you don't understand something feel free to ask me, also you can add me on discord for contact gamesmusic454#0676
