Yeah I know there are a lot of questions about this type of issue but I checked everywhere and nobody seems to have the same issue as me. So, I'm using DELL Inspirion 15 7559 from 2016 I believe. Today my screen got infested with thin, horizontal lines across whole screen, height and width wise. Those lines aren't any exact color - they seem like it's 50/50 darker and ligher lines... Or maybe half of them are darker and half of them is 'normal' brightness? I have no idea. They almost look like scan lines on CRT TV. No those arent black, green or whatever else. They seem to come up after few minutes of using the laptop - they arent there from the start. Those lines seem to get worse, dissapear by themselves and re-appear all by random chance. Also. Sometimes, but not always, I do see those lines appear when my screen goes black if i don't use the laptop for a while, then those lines kinda 'fizz out' as the black screen of screen saver dissapears and wallpapaer appear. It's first time using this forum for me, I will try attaching a photo/video of this. And no, they don't appear on screenshots. VID_20240311_195421 (1).mp4

Hi! I have a 15.6 HP Envy x360 laptop and the hinge broke recently. Got a replacement in today and went to repair it, however after literal hours trying to get the screen off without breaking it I'm at a stand still. I don't know if I messed up already but there seems no way forward without using force or physically cutting or breaking something. Both sides of my screen is stuck about 1 inch from the top of the screen. I finally got it separated enough to see whats stuck. There is a metal piece that is still attached to the shell for most of the screen and then it's attached to the screen for the top inch. It looks like its attached to a piece of plastic specifically that was clipped to the metal piece. At the very top it seems almost melded into the plastic piece. I can't find any pictures or videos online that's showing this so if anyone has any experience with this laptop or any like this I'd greatly appreciate it.

Alright so after going through with buying a Razr+ knowing initially the standard warranty didn't cover the inner screen, it was on sale for 699usd and I needed a new phone. I was thinking by now foldables should be fine for the most part, if anything it would be 6 months before /minor/ damage showed up. Within the first month of normal daily use the screen broke, luckily I still qualified for the 'Moto Care' plan that covers physical damage. Otherwise you have to foot the repair bill which is somewhere about 620usd, yikes. So after falling in love with the phone overall, and sunk cost fallacy in full force. I decided to buy the 'Moto care' plan that was also on sale for 172usd instead of it's full 250usd cost. Which gives you 3 screen repairs before you deductible goes up.. . Then, after waiting three days for the digital plan to be "delivered" it still cost me 100usd upfront to file a screen repair ticket. I wanted the unlocked version of the phone that still worked with Verizon, because Verizon hates phones, so I bought the phone directly from Motorola and the sale price was great. But now I can't just take it to the store and have them deal with it. For being Moto's Flagship phone, this is pretty wild. Anyway, I feel this should probably be getting a little more attention than it seems to be. It sucks, I love my foldable, I bought the cool heavy duty case for it that made it look like a sci-fi device, the form factor is amazing. The cool mini screen was awesome, I love Tiny Youtube with it folded on the table, all the shake actions from my Moto Z2 Force are there(which is the phone I had to go back to). It's all around great and sparked joy, but the screen,, I don't want to go back to a slab phone Another person on reddit with the same issue:

Hi, I ve already posted this topic, but now it is new problem. So I & the guy that was following the topic, thought that it is due CPU overheat. But temps are normal. Also I cleaned PC and applied new thermal paste. Here is the link od topic, there are HWMonitor stats, and all: Then after all that done, it again appears. I mean, it havent been and then I got windows update. And again comes. I dont know is it due windows updates, but also if I need to revert back. It is hard cus that mf windows was updateing nearly every day. Everyday I go Shutdown and Update. Never had this issue. Also I noticed that , because I have TV connected as monitor, it is near plug for my phone to charge. When Placing or pulling charger out of plug. It goes green screen on second and went back. But now it goes randomly.

Hey! Im planning on buying a 40 to 43 inch 4k TV which Im gonna use with a PS5. But I can't decide which one to buy. So I am asking here. The TV should have a good image quality. Good enough for gaming at like 2m distance. Most important to me is a good pixel response time and as low flicker as possible (headache...). SmartTV and Sound is pretty unimportant since I have a external sound system and I will only use the screen for my PS5. So the quality and stuff of those two things don't really matter. Whats made it pretty hard for me to decide though is the price. I can't pay too much. since I live in switzerland it is a bit hard for me to give a certain number. So I guess just suggest some TVs meeting those requierements and that are not waaaay too expensive. Thank you very much!

Hello! (Hope this is the right subforum) I thought I'd ask for help here, as this just doesn't make sense to me, and it would be much easier if I could do this. I have an admittedly older PC (new one soon, but not yet) with a 1050 Ti and while it works perfectly fine with my two regular screens (a main 27" 240 Hz and a smaller 60 Hz side screen I use vertically), my TV refuses to work with it when I plug it in with a HDMI cable, and Windows just refuses to detect it. The same TV works perfectly fine when plugged into my laptop (HP EliteBook I think, it just has an Intel GPU). I specifically bought a *long* HDMI for this, which feels extra awkward now. Now, the things I know and why all of this makes no sense to me: - I was previously on Win8.1 but upgraded to 11 recently. I thought maybe 8.1 didn't handle 3+ screens well, but nope, nothing has changed. - It used to work okay-ish when I plugged the TV instead of the main monitor into the same HDMI port, but now that won't work either for some reason. - Newest NVIDIA drivers etc., I've tried messing with all sorts of settings in both Windows/NVIDIA settings and on the TV, nothing helps. - Random but feels related somehow, I also tried plugging either monitor with DisplayPort instead of HDMI once and it just wouldn't work either. Works fine via HDMI, Windows refuses to detect anything via DisplayPort. Would be grateful for any ideas as this just feels like some kind of weird mystery. I'm wondering if this simply isn't a case of an old/degraded graphics card (purchased in 2018), but I'd like to figure out if there are other options before I get a new PC and end up disappointed again... Thanks in advance for any help, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! [and also attached HWinfo in case that helps]

I have an Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 which has a 1080p 144hz display. I am seeing flickering which looks like the screen is broken when it is on 144hz and when I switch it to 60hz the screen flickers significantly less but not like before it goes dim and it just flickers normally I can see the whole screen now. I have tried removing my Nvidia drivers and AMD drivers and reinstalling both of them but nothing worked. But the Microsoft generic display driver didn't have any problem but obviously, I cannot use that. So, 144hz = Looks like Broken Screen and 60hz little flickering (sometimes none) I have recorded a video and attached it, please look at it. You won't see 60hz flickering maybe because the recording was in 30fps, but it is there. VID_20230604_105945 (1).mp4

I'm trying to play Doom Infinite (GZDoom wad running off Doom 2) on a 64bit Ubuntu 22.04 system (and I've switched on Wayland). At random intervals I'm getting my screens both freezing and sometimes it will fix itself after a bit and I'll see these log10 singularity errors in the console. Sometimes it will crash and I can see the log. But most of the time it will just sit there frozen for a long time and I'll have to REISUB reboot my laptop. While frozen I can still hear videos running in the background, I can hear they are switching to the next video in the autoplay youtube queue so even the internet still works. But Discord will crash almost immediately. I'm pretty new at linux and not having this issue on my PC. I've checked the WADs discord and there was only one other mention of log10 singularity errors but they said it's odd that its freezing my computer. I've ran the ubuntu software autoupdater and am pretty sure that includes the GPU driver being up to date. I've tried fullscreen, windowed, using recommended settings. What can I do to troubleshoot?

Hello All! I recently bought a second hand HP Pavilion 15-eh-1001nx with a Ryzen 7 5700U with 16GB of 3200 MHZ, 512 m,2 ssd. ( If you need more info, pleas don’t hesitate to ask) Now from time to time the screen goos black as well as the attached hdmi screen, you can hear the music stop and the fans shutdown. I switched a power brick and it helped a lot but it’s still doing it and I have to do a hard reset. I still have a month an a half warranty, by the second hand store. Not for cash but trades if they can’t fix it. Does anyone know a solution or should I just go back and claim warranty? Thanks!

Hello, I would like help regarding what is happening to my monitor screen, yesterday it was working fine and today I turned it on and it looks like this. I already disconnected all the cables (HDMI, Displayport) to see if it was a problem with the connection ports but the screen still looks the same. Do you have a solution or should I think about buying another monitor? The model is a Lg 24mp59g IPS panel IMG_6580.mov

So I recently upgraded my CPU, Motherboard, and Memory. However, ever since I started using them, one of my displays keeps turning on and off. I've tested different display ports however it is always the same screen that turns off. I was wondering if it was the cable or the screen itself. But the thing is, when I open up my GeForce Experience, the screen will flash on and off repeatedly, occasionally fixing itself. When I close games or exit VR it also has a chance to turn off the display. I assume my GPU or PSU is the cause, but I am unsure. I thought that it may not be the screen or the cable if it can lose signal when I close a game. But what could it be?

Does anyone know about the Honor 90 screen protection? Does it use Gorilla Glass? Is the screen impact protection system used in Honor X9a model also available in Honor 90?

A few days ago I took a monitor from a colleague (LG 27GL850-B) and it works great outside of games. However, when I go into games, I have a constant problem of the screen flickering to black. On the desktop, browsing, all programs, no problem, but as soon as I enter the game, the problems start. Interestingly, one game (World of Tanks) flickers only on ultra graphics in 1080p, while on medium it works normally. Tried 2k resolution and got the same thing - it flickers on high resolution, but when I set the lowest resolution it works normally. Tried setting 100, 120 and 144 Hz, same problem. What is interesting to me is that in the case when I set the high resolution in 2k and 1080p, in both cases there is no FPS cap problem, GPU outputs locked 119 fps, so, on the one hand, it does not make sense to me that the graphics "struggle" at high resolutions, and then again the description suggest to it. I tried to connect with two different, new DP 1.4 ports, and with one HDMI cable (I don't know which version, but the maximum was 100hz) and the same problem. I've tried turning off FreeSync in the settings (since I'm using an AMD card), reinstalling the GPU drivers, reinstalling monitor drivers, trying turning off Adaptive Sync on my monitor. The monitor is advertised as a G-Sync monitor, but as far as I know it also supports FreeSync? - is it possible that the problem is possibly in some settings within the AMD software? I'm really not sure where to go from here. Any ideas about what could be the problem (Googling even suggested that power supply could be problem?), what else to try, or is it just the GPU dying? EDIT: Some more testing. At least one game (World of Tanks) works fine on 2k ultra graphic when monitor and in-game settings are set to 60hz. I capped FPS to 59 and encountered zero problems. Mid-game I switched to 100Hz profiles, raised FPS cap to 99, and encountered again same problems. Specs: CPU: Intel i5 6600 3.3 GHz MBO: ASUS H110M-C, DDR4 RAM: 2x CRUCIAL 8 GB DDR4, 3000 (2133) MHz, CL15 GPU: XFX AMD Radeon RX 480 RS Hard Swap, 8GB GDDR5 Power: Forton Hexa Plus, 500W, 80+ OS: Win 10 Pro

Just don't write to me: look on the internet, everything is written there. I searched and on each site something different on each video they show something different. On one page they say maximum 3 hours and on the other they write maximum 5 hours a day. The same with breaks. Take a break every 20 minutes, after 1 minute on other pages, take a break every 30 minutes. Take a 5-minute break. Or one longer break of 10 minutes after 1 hour, where do they get it that you can sit in front of the computer for 25 hours a week, and elsewhere they write that you can do 30 hours a week, what is it? The doctor told me that there must be a lamp next to the monitor, not behind the monitor, they are not a sitting person, but should illuminate the space in front of the monitor, i.e. be between the monitor and the person sitting in front of the monitor. I was doing it before he told me because it's more comfortable and doesn't strain my eyes. I always keep the light on in the room so it doesn't strain my eyes. These are the ergonomics things, do you know anything else? Or is there any specific research on hundreds of thousands of people? I really don't know how to do it so that everyone writes something different. I do what makes me feel comfortable. I have an anti-flicker monitor, the manufacturer himself says so. I used to have a monitor that flickered and tired my eyes. People use OLED screens and say normally cool screen saturated colors and for me it hurts the eyes and doesn't use that well. I want to know how long can you sit in front of the computer? How long? How many breaks do you take? What to do to make it as healthy as possible. And work ergonomics, i.e. correct sitting. How far from the monitor. These are the most important things.

Danish tech retailer Proshop has started showing electricity consumption efficacy on their monitors https://www.proshop.dk/Skaerm?o=2052&pn=6 The best efficiency monitor has rank C efficiency. Is it that impossible to create an energy efficient panel? I feel like every monitor is stuck at incandescent light bulb efficiency level. Not talking about the cheep ones only, expensive new models are almost the worst when it comes to it. Every one of them produce more heat than what seems reasonable, have minimal cooling and (correct me if I am wrong) have the most shit tier power supply inside. Would love to get some insight on why is that and would love to see if someone makes a video or has already made with a proper monitor cooling solution.

Hello all, First post here on the forums. It is great to be here. I am new to windows 11 and recently did an upgrade to my PC. My equipment is as follows; MSI MPG 670E Carbon Wifi Motherboard G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series 96GB AMD Ryzen 7700X MSI 4070 Trio X Windows 11 (fully updated) Main Monitor LG 4k 32un550-WAJP Now to the wierd issue. When my main monitor wakes from sleep the screen shrinks and then returns to normal. I attached a video of what happens (not my video though). This issue didn't happen when I was on Windows 10 (using the same monitor). Any idea what is going on? 2vXA4yV.mp4

Hello, It's been a while since I've posted something on LTT Forums. But I'm in a dire need of help. As of July 9th I have noticed something happening with my Laptop and most particularly the screen. For sometime I noticed a white-like halo effect appearing on the edges of my screen and if I continue doing something graphically intense the image would sometimes burn-in into screen and neon-like blue lights would appear in the top left and right corners of the screen. I'm not sure but my guess is that built-in screen is malfunctioning. Not to mention, yesterday while playing games I've noticed a white light flickering in the bottom left screen corner, especially when the background would transition into complete dark color. I'll leave attached picture for a reference. I can repair this myself but I just can't find any reputable shop or company that has that specific screen for sale. Plus I live in North-East Europe. Thank you for your replies in advance and I'm sorry if I've violated any forum guidelines.

Hello new member to the forum. Couple days ago i notices a weird glitch effect at the bottom of my screen while my laptop was left on idle. I noticed it started happening when my laptop received an windows update. The fist thing i did was to update my Nvidia drivers but it didn't solve the issue. Im using: Lenovo Legion 5 AMD Ryzen 5 5600H RTX 3060 Windows 10 ENT version 21H2
