We have an Allen and Heath soundboard. We primarily use the D-Snake port on it and need to be used over fiber (100mbps ethernet ONLY). So we picked up some media converters that will work for this. Only problem is that these media converters use primarily SC OM1 fiber. We picked up some SC to LC cable adapters. We have a 1000ft fiber reel with OM3 LC fiber on it. I've tried to get it to work, but I believe due to the size of the OM1 and OM3 it isn't getting a link. I cannot change the fiber reel (it's damn expensive). Is there any way to adapt or convert it without changing the reel or the media converters? Diagram of connection: Soundboard (ethernet) -> media converter (sc 100mbps) -> SC to LC (OM1) -> 1000ft fiber reel (OM3 LC) -> SC to LC (OM1) -> media converter (sc 100mbps) -> D-Snake device (ethernet). UPDATE: I was totally reading the wrong thing. The SC to LC cable is OM3. I have to diagnose why it isn't working still. I don't see an option to remove this post.

Second question: When registering a second hand GPU for example, making your're own Amazon order form isn't hard. That way you can pass off as the first owner and qualify for this and the Set-Up program. You cannot de-register an existing item and then re-register it though if you were thinking of going that route. And third question is pretty straight forward. Just 100 posts on the EVGA.com forums. Can't see what could go wrong there...

Hey My Evga gtx 1060 6gb Graphics card idles at about 63C is that to hot for idling? Maybe there is a way i could keep the fan on auto but make it so the must always run at least xxxrpm then incress on that if needed. Fan noise doesn't bother me. Thanks Grover

So after narrowing it down to a couple of 1070's: Zotac Amp! Edition, Gigabyte G1, Asus Strix, and one of the EVGA cards. The main issue is with the EVGA cards. What is the difference between the types? As I see there are 6 possible types that I would be looking at getting. 1. ACX 3.0 - $420 2. Founder Edition - $447 ($416 if bought from Zotac) 3. FTW ACX 3.0 - $420 4. FTW DT ACX 3.0 - $410 5. SC ACX 3.0 - $410 6. SC ACX 3.0 Black Edition $390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Zotac AMP! Edition - $402 8. Gigabyte G1 - $410 9. Asus Strix - $450 I know that the Founders Edition is the default nvidia card without anything added, the ACX 3.0 is the default EVGA card. Are they just different clock speeds or more? At the moment on amazon, the super clocked black edition is $20 less than the normal super clocked. Honestly all of their pricing seems pretty random. What is the best EVGA card? Which of the cards I listed is the best? What is your recommendation?

Recently I have been going back and forth between what GPUs that I should buy. I narrowed it down to NVIDIA cards however when I look at the cards there are so many like I could go with the GTX 1060 but then which one. do i go with the SC or the SSC, or should i just go with a completely different card Like the 960? what I'm asking is should I go with the GTX 1060 SSC or are there better options in NVIDIA cards for roughly $260.

Hey guys, Bit of a newbie with this. I am looking for a GPU to pair my i7 6700k with to use for a mix of Games, animation and 3D rendering in multiple engines and software. So far what I have found is (boxing day prices) an EVGA GTX 1070ti SC for $499 CAD and an EVGA RTX 2070 XC for $689.99 CAD. (Looking to stick to NVIDIA due to some exclusive rendering tools that AMD doesn't support) Any suggestions on what I should chose or if I should opt for a completely different card? i decided to get the evga gtx 1080ti sc instead of the asus strix 1080 non ti so i need some information about it because i cant find any thing about it so does it have any issues ? and how hot does it run at full load with what fan speed ? can i stay under 65c while gaming ?

alot of people toled me to avoid it because it have vram and heat issues .. as its the cheapest 1080ti i wont be able to get any better cooling card because im out of budget anyways .. thanks in advance =D

the sc is 750$ and the ftw3 is 850$ .. is the better cooling hat the ftw3 has makes it worth it ? .. all i care about is cooling not performance as they are both nearly identical

Hey guys, I'm new here. I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC 8GB graphics card. I have a 24" curved Samsung monitor, and a 50" Westinghouse Smart 4K TV that I'm trying to setup to use as dual monitors. The way my room is set up, the TV is adjacent to my desk, so I'm just trying to use the TV for video games and background movies, etc. The ports on my graphics card are 1 HDMI, 1 DVI-D, and 3 Display Ports. I have an HDMI cable going to my monitor, and a 4K HDMI cable from my TV to a Display Port adapter into my graphics card. For some reason, when I connect more than one cable into my graphics card, both screens go black and say "No signal". I was eventually able to get them both to work by using the NVIDIA Control Panel and using the display settings, but it didn't last long, and eventually whether I used my TV to watch actual television, or switch to my Xbox One S and then revert back to my PC, the same issue would happen, and in order to access my PC, I had to restart my machine manually. I was wondering if I was somehow doing something wrong, or if I should just buy two Display Port to HDMI cables, and skip trying to use an adapter. The same thing happened when trying a DVI-D to HDMI adapter as well. The 4K enabled HDMI cable was the one that I received with my Xbox One S, the HDMI cable going to my monitor is a 15' cable I got on Amazon, and the Display Port to HDMI adapter is an INSTEN brand that I purchased from Walmart.com. I'm seriously puzzled as to why I'm having difficulty with this. I originally had an EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB graphics card before I purchased the GTX 1070, and had absolutely no issue when trying to setup dual monitors; though I'm not using any of the same equipment. I apologize for all of this craziness, but if anyone could help me out I would be so grateful. Thank you so much for your time. P.S - I was recently given an AMD FX 8320 Black Edition CPU for Christmas from a couple of friends, and I didn't try this beforehand. So I have an EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0, and was wondering how far I could OC it. I'm using PrecisionX 16 and Unigine Heaven (Since valley crashes, overclock or not.). I cant seem to find any specifics on what I can do to core clock/mem clocks, in terms of what +(number) I should use. I mean yes there's lots of total clocks that say somewhere in the 1500mhz range for core clock, but I dont know how much that is. How much should I add to my core/mem clocks? Also, should I use overvoltage? If so, how much? (It only lets me select 12mV, 25mV, or 37mV. Dont know why, but there's no in-between, even when using arrow keys.) Snips of PrecisionX for the 970 with the + amounts would be nice (and easier to follow). Other than that just saying "Core Clock: +150mhz, Mem Clock +500mhz" etc. etc. etc. is also fine. Halp

Hello there community, i'm having a problem or maybe it's just me. The thing is i just bought a brand new gtx 1070 evga superclock and paired it with my i5 3330. On idle with nothing going on in the background i get 50°C!!! And using 1000mhz While playing arma3 it ramps up to 70°C In valley benchmark i get 80°C I understand that these temps would be ok on a founders card but on an evga sc...??? Oh and the backplate get super hot, i maybe fry an egg on it. Did i get a bad card? Should i return it? PD: no overclock done yet

Hi guys, Looking for an upgrade for my GPU. I have been searching for the best 1060 cards out there, and to me it looks like the EVGA Cards are the best. Don't know if you guys have any other opinions, if you do please leave a comment below. I was hoping for the EVGA GTX 1060 SSC/FTW ACX 3.0 to come out when it was announce. But, it didn't. Hello! I've been putting around in my little beta for quite a while now (i call him Stanley the Stang) and have gotten pretty good at flight controls with my mouse, but i want something a little bigger and a little more tech heavy, namely one of the reliant variants. i have 80 dollars to spend and i know that when it goes flight ready there will be a sale, but i can get one now with LTI for around the 70 dollar mark. Do you think that i should wait for the sale or get it on the grey market? how much do you think the sale price will be? any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Capture and hold territories 2. Escort highly valuable assets of the org 3. Patrol the areas under conflict with other orgs or pirates and other valuable areas like mining fields 4. Intercept targets 5. Eliminate of targets 6. Take over certain areas of the org by the order of the high council under the act of treason. 1. Capturing and holding territories:- ( CHT ) Role :- I believe that we will be able to capture star systems , planets etc and setup our base in these areas like eve online . In order to make money , we will have to setup mining stations and should be able to capture areas Rich in minerals which are under control of other orgs. We should also capture areas of strategic importance like those star systems with jumppoints to other important star systems. These roles requires some serious fire power . So I would recommend using carrier fleets to do this. I will talk about the carrier fleets later. 2. Escorting high value assets or HVA's : High value assets include , big cargo ships carrying valuable minerals , mining ships , commanders , damaged frigates , carriers , corvettes and other expensive ships and valuable ships Which cannot protect themselves effectively. Recommended ships :- Avengers excluding Titans , cutlass black and blue ( or gold and white ? O_o ) , mustang deltas and alphas , 325A , 300i , hornets , gladius , Aurora ln , vanguard warden , gladiator , khartu-al , scythe , glaive and sabre. I wouldn't recommend ships any bigger than the warden or the sabre as they are not very effective for the task and are slow 3. Patrolling areas:- The mining fields which are close to disputed areas will be patrolled by the military. Other areas of the org which were taken over by the order of the high council will be patrolled by military too. Recommended ships :- same as the ones used for escorting . 4. Intercepting targets:- This includes intercepting enemy fleets to slow their advance towards uoltt captured areas and intercepting escaped fugitives and terminating them. Recommended ships :- 325A and gladius. These two ships are best for this job as they are some of the fastest ships we will ever have. And interceptors need to be fast. Glaive and khartu-al can also be used , but they are less common. 5. Eliminating targets :- We might need to eliminate certain targets like enemy mining outposts or certain enemy cargo fleets in order to cripple their economy . Recommended ships :- Heavy weight fighters , bombers and stealth ships. Stealth hornet, sabre , gladiator , vanguard warden and all bombers. These should ideally escorted by escort ships for their protection. 6. Take over certain start systems controlled by the org under the command of the high council. Hey people of LinusTechTipsForums. I need some help trying to enable Nvidia SLI but for whatever reason I just can't get it to work. Here are my PC Specs CPU: i7-4790k Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport PSU: Corsair CX750M Storage: 240GB SSD + Other HDDs GPUs: ASUS GTX 970 STRIX + EVGA GTX 970 SC I hooked up the two GPU's like you normally would in an SLI configuration, but for whatever reason in Nvidia Control Panel the "Disable SLI" bubble is filled in by default, and the "Maximize 3D Performance" bubble is greyed out. I get an error message saying "To use Maximim 3D Performance, connect the SLI-Ready graphics cards with an SLI connector." I did indeed connect an SLI bridge to those two cards, and for whatever reason I still can't enable SLI. Both of the cards are in working condition, and they do show up in programs like MSI Afterburner which means that my system does recognize that they're even there. I have no idea what to do from here, and looking at old online threads regarding SLI doesn't help. GPU-Z does recognize both of the cards, and they are both running at 8x. Both graphics cards are running in the top two PCI Express slots. (The slot all the way at the bottom doesn't have enough clearance) I have tried switching their positions and it still doesn't work. I have also tried switching the position of the SLI Bridge and it still doesn't work. Please help.

Hi guys, I've recently purchased an EVGA GTX 950 SC (the 1 fan model) Link to evga website It has 3 DisplayPorts So my question is, can I run 3 monitors simultaneously using 3 displayports? For example 3 4k monitors just for usual stuff like youtube/browsing, but ofc not gaming. Or 3 1080p 144hz monitors. And there as you see are more ports like hdmi and DVI-I, so for example I can connect 3dp + 1dvi or hdmi? I've heard that if you connect something like dp+dp+dp, hdmi wont work.. Thanks

Like is it purely a marketing ploy (other than power draw) between the differing evga 970 card. Consider there's a difference of up to $50-$70 between them. I'm mean 1080p gaming, is it worth going the FTW and not just ego stroking? Thanks
