  1. good morning guys, greetings from Malaysia. recently ive been experiencing recurring BSOD lots of times, with various stop codes. eg., memory management, critical process died, dmgmms2.sys and others. it became very often a month ago i already did some test like ; sfc scan, memory diagnostic 15/15, reset bios by removing and jumping, fresh windows installation, reapply thermal paste. but the bsod still keep on coming. the bsod usually happen when im transferring a file or surfing the internet, open new tab, scrolling the browser, installing windows, installing an app. but nothing happen when im playing games. my system; windows 10 pro ryzen 7 2700x asrock b450m pro 4 sapphire rx 580 nitro+ 8gb corsair vengeance 8+8 3000mhz samsung evo 850 250 gb super flower eco 80+ silver 600w im still looking for answers up till now. if you guys have any information on how to treat this computer please help
  2. Hello ! I have big problem. My RX 5700XT Sapphire NITRO+ is making games crash. In games I have awesome FPS, but my PC crashes or does black screen... For example Call of Duty MW Warzone. FPS is great (around 100 FPS on Ultra), but game is crashing when downloading shaders or when I enter the match (in the plane). I am looking every day If new drivers were released (just installed 20.3.1) So can you help me fix crashes or at least Call of duty crashes ? Thank you !!! My PC spec: CPU- Ryzen 5 2600 GPU- Rx 5700XT Sapphire NITRO+ RAM- 16 GB DDR4 PSU- 750 W Hyper M
  3. I have an rx570, sapphire, on an Asus mobo with an i5. It boots and displays windows just fine on a 720p TV via HDMI, but as soon as I hook it to my 3 1440p monitors it boots, splashes bios, splashes the initial windows loading for a second then I have black screens. I tried DDU and reinstalling Radeon drivers to no avail. I just decided to redo this system and make it a work pc next to my main rig and I am stuck, any ideas?
  4. Hey. My friend has a damaged Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro+. He dropped it, and was afraid to put it into his PC. He is willing to give it to me for cheap, and I thought there is a chance that it will be working. I'm thinking - is it worth getting it, or is it a total waste of money, and it will only be a good item to put on my desk as a decoration?
  5. I have Sapphire Rx 580 nitro+ 8gb Special Edition graphic Card. I am going to buy new psu cause my previous psu got wear and teared down. This psu fits to my budget. Is it good? "Cooler Master MWE gold 650w fully modular". I had run power supply calculator and got 459w usage and recommend 520w psu. I have done many research for good psu and known about all that never cheap on psu........this is heart............blah blah blah. BUT I AM ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET. (PKR. 12,000) I have checked the tier list but its not there. My friend has this and he had got no problems. Also, I am going to buy offline and these two are the budget one available for me. (But u guys can look on internet for a similar price psu according to your area.I would just find it locally near me.Thanks) My pc specs: Dell Precision T3500 Intel Xeon W3530 2.8GHz Sapphire Rx 580 Nitro+ 8gb SE 500GB seagate 5.9k RPM HDD Redragon S101 keyboard mouse set 4*2GB DDR3 RAM. I also checked the Crosair VS650w white 80 plus psu. It also fits in my bugdet but is it better than cooler Master MWE gold 650w? Thanks
  6. Hello. I'm new to computer building and recently built a PC. My problem is, when I decided to test my RX580 in Furmark, video card just shutdown after 5 minutes at 76° but fans and other parts remained working. After I did hard restart I haven't got any warnings from drivers. I believe that my PSU is too weak maybe? GPU is behaving normal in all games I play. CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: Sapphire RX580 Pulse 8 gb PSU: be quiet! pure power 11 500w Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H RAM: G.Skill Sniper X F4-3200 2x 8gb CPU Cooler: Deepcool Gammaxx 400bl
  7. Hi guys. Christmas is coming and I will get a graphics card. I used to have a gtx 760 that died almost two years ago and I think it´s time to become a gamer once again lol. The thing is that i´m from argentina and well, our economy isn´t the best so the best I could buy is an RX 570 4GB. There is a very well known place here that has the best prices and they have the MSI armor 4GB and the Sapphire Pulse 4GB at the same price. Which one should I get? I couldn´t find a proper comparison between them and the only difference I have seen is that the Sapphire one has a backplate. Help me bros
  8. Hi, I just built a new PC this past weekend, CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x GPU: Sapphire Pulse 5700 xt RAM: Corsair vengeance 16gb 3200mhz MOBO: ASUS TUF-Gaming plus x570 (without WiFi) MEM: Western Digital 1TB SSD I actually have been talking about this on the steam forums under total war Warhammer II but I thought it prudent to come here. Basically, out of the two benchmarks in game to use, the skaven benchmark being the more intensive one, I average only about 53 FPS at ultra preset setting with v-sync on. Two points in the battle the FPS dips down to 44, and the last few seconds of the benchmark it dips as low as 33. Additionally, I ran a battle with Tomb Kings and Vampire counts with a variety of units and magic, and once the battle started it was difficult to hit 60 again (same ultra preset). Zooming in and around saw as low as 27 and playing normally saw roughly 40-55. Really I‘m just trying to determine if this performance is totally normal, or whether there may be some fault with my system or software/drivers. Users on steam seem to suggest I should be getting much higher average frames for my system. Drivers are up to date, BIOS as well. Thanks for your time.
  9. I recently took the plunge and upgraded my 750 ti which was beginning to chug horribly to the sapphire RX 590 Special Edition that I found an excellent deal on eBay for manufacturer refurbished. In terms of performance, it's fantastic, I'm getting great fps on ultra settings on 1080p on a lot of the games I play (Witcher 3, Doom etc.). However, when playing games, it is incredibly loud, to the point that there's no way I could play anything without noise cancelling headphones on; it sounds like there's an industrial AC unit on my desk. I've checked the fan curve, and the fans are at about the lowest they can be whilst still giving a sensible temperature under load. I've not overclocked it at all, it's just running at stock speeds. It's currently in a fairly small form factor case which puts it right above a hot PSU (EVGA Hadron Air), so I'm wondering whether getting a bigger case and giving it more room to breathe will bring temps and noise down or if it's just a really noisy card. Was just wondering if anyone has this card or a similar sapphire card in their set up as has found the same issues. Was considering upgrading my case anyway so if its worth it I'll do it, but if it's just a hot, noisy card no matter how much air it gets, it's gonna be going back on eBay real soon. Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated.Cheers!
  10. Hello there everyone! Few days ago I bought used Sapphire RX 480 4 GB Nitro+ GPU from a local seller. I planned to swap my R9 380 2 GB with it. I run Ryzen 5 1500X on a Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 ATX mobo paired with 2x8 GB of Corsair Vegeance LPX RAM and Corsair TX650M 80 Plus Gold psu. The problem is that when I try to put in RX 480 system doesn't POST it just checks components and it gets stuck on VGA check the red led blinks VGA and I hear 1 long beep followed by 3 short beeps, the system doesn't shut down but nothing happens. I have used DDU to remove old drivers like 3 times i tried switching both bios modes on gpu, clearing CMOS, updating mobo BIOS, installing RX 480 drivers from AMD site but nothing helps. Putting my old gpu back works perfectly even with RX 480 drivers. The gpu fans spin for a moment and they turn off because GPU isn't under any load, core is heating up under my finger and led works fine I can even change it. The seller said he had same issues and needed some expert friend to fix it but said if I won't manage to get my system to boot that he will refund me my money back. So I wanted to ask if anyone has/had the same issue or if you have some tips for me or I should just ask for refund and try to find a new one. I found this one for 15 euros better price than others on local market so I really wanted to make sure before I refund it. Thanks everyone in advance.
  11. So I completed my build today and I'm facing a ridiculous problem. Whenever I restart my PC from BIOS Setup or Windows it doesn't POST anything. Sometimes it boots but doesn't POST (I guessed it by watching ram's rgb profile changed which I made). But if I completely shut it down and after a few seconds turn it on, it posts and boots perfectly. And all the components just works fine. I ran some games and didn't notice any problems. It's not a ram problem I am sure. I tested both rams individually and both of them were working perfectly. But none of them were able to reboot my pc. So I guess the problem is somewhere else. I also reset BIOS using the button. It didn't help either.PLEASE HELP,My rig:Mobo: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGECpu: RYZEN 7 3700XRam: G. 12. Hi there everyone. Recently, I upgraded my good old GTX 680 to an RX 580 that I bought used. I thought it would be simple and straightforward but boy was I in for a surprise. Before I go further, my system is an i7 3930k@3.2ghz(recently update bios so have not gotten to overclocking yet), 8gb of 1600mhz vengence LP ddr3, Gigabyte X79-UD3, Intel 330 series 240gb ssd and a 1tb seagate barracuda. The RX580 in question is a Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8gb. p.s, the second paragraph highlights my mistakes and stuff I have already fixed so if you are in a rush just skip to the third and fourth paragraph. It all started with the installation, I pulled out my 680 and placed the RX580 into place. It all went well except it didn't boot. There was a bios switch on the card so I flipped it to the other bios and it did manage to post but there were some weird artifacts and the scaling was way off. At first I thought it was just because there were no drivers so I promptly installed AMD drivers. At about 70%, the screen went black, flashed to blue, flashed to the OS and went to black again over and over again. After 15 minutes, I decided to just reboot the system. The moment the system booted and OS loaded, the same flashing of blue screen, black and OS happened. It never occurred to me to check the BIOS version as I had only recently popped a 1060 in the system and it worked fine. So what I did was ask the guy I had bought the card from. He was baffled as he had just ran benchmarks the day before. He offered to refund me my money but I told him to wait a few days while I figure this out. I called a friend and asked to borrow his HIS IceQ RX580 8gb and installed in my pc. No boot. At this point I was panicking as I thought that there was something wrong with my board. Stupidly, I had already sold my 680 so there was no popping that back in to check. After some quick googling that I should have done earlier, I realized that my motherboard bios was outdated so I borrowed my uncle's Gtx650 since I had no on board graphics. Reflashing the BIOS was a pain in the ass as q-flash just flat out didn't work (it said something like outdated flashing utility) and the Included bios file just refused to be mounted as a bootable drive so I had to use @bios (I know, its a terrible idea). After 15 minutes, viola, the damn thing booted. But this was only the beginning of my problems. My Unsolvable problems began right after I booted and installed Radeon drivers. My first problem was scaling. You see, the screen was cutting off on all four sides of the monitor and the windows scaling settings did not solve the problem. It just made the clipping worse. I figured out how to solve the screen cut off problem by changing the HDMI scaling in radeon settings. Problem is, it introduced this lag. Everything was just laggy. Restarting didn't work, reinstalling drivers didn't work and playing around with the settings in radeon settings also did not solve the lag issue. The picture quality was also worse. Everything was just soft and slightly blurry. I googled and everywhere just point to not messing with HDMI scaling and only changing the scaling on windows but NO MATTER HOW MUCH I CHANGED THE WINDOWS SCALING, THE SCREEN STILL CLIPPED. My second problem happened when I tried to run Chrome. I opened chrome and it was just a black window. Nothing. You can drag, close and minimize the window but it was just black. Google's solution seems to be disabling GPU acceleration but I cant really do that with chrome being black and all. There was also a suggestion to change the path of the chrome shortcut and adding : "[space]-disable-gpu" at the end of the path file but that did not work also. Opera browser worked fine so that is what I am typing from. This is my first time using team red's GPU's and I am seriously turned off. Every team green GPU I have used has worked flawlessly. It is a massive shame because this RX580 is a great deal at 50 bucks. It is unlikely that this particular card is defective as the same problems also happens on my friends RX580. I am out of options. Drivers are up to date and everything else seems fine. Please help.

    RX 570 Temp

I have recently purchased an RX 570 Sapphire pulse 4GB card and getting the max temp of 77degrees Celsius at full load in different benchmarks and games. I want to know is it OK or is it higher than it should be? Also, I noticed that after 74 degrees the GPU starts to throttle and the core clock drops from 1284MHz to almost 1200MHz and sometimes the clock goes down to 1150MHz. So, is it normal for this card to throttle at these temps.? Thanks All,
  14. So basically i bought Saphire pulse RX580 4gb card and it doesn't work. I plugged it in my motherboard using 6 pin connector and the fans spun up and shutdown soon as i booted into windows. The card worked in bios and in safemode. I tried uninstalling AMD IGpu driver and was able to boot into windows normally, only the card was recognised as default display adapter. After i tried to install drivers the card shutoff and fans stopped. I bought a new PSU and used 8pin connector this time as i thought maybe the card didn't have enough power, Love and Behold nothing changed. I tried other PCI slots and updated Bios, forced Discrete Gpu and disabled IGPU. While using IGpu it still recognised the rx580 in device manager and i am able to flash the card or oc it in afterburner if needed. I am so lost! I am starting to think that web shop sold me a B-stock card. 15. So, sort of a long story here, the tldr; is I upgraded from an A8 7600 to a Ryzen 5 (total platform change, so the mobo, CPU and RAM are all new) and everything is completely unstable, on both a brand new install of Windows on a new Samsung 970evo m.2 and my old install on my PNY SSD. Lots of BSODs. Tested the RAM for a day and it checks out, SSD checks out according to Samsung Magician. I'm very confused. Long story: Originally I pulled my old system and swapped the parts last week, and verified the new parts would POST before I did the swap. Seemed fine outside the case so in the case it went. Once I got it up and running again, before I installed Windows 10 Pro on my new m.2 I ran off my old SSD for a while just to test things a bit. It was pretty unstable, BSODs and crashes randomly, but I figured this could be down to wrong drivers and such since the SSD came from my old system. I pulled all my drives, including my storage drives, and went to install Windows on the new m.2. Problem: it blue screened during install. Restarted it. Managed to get through the install this time. More BSODs. I tried reinstalling again. Same thing. I think I'm now sitting on the 5th reinstall on the new drive. Its marginally more stable now, but the moment I try to do anything I get a random BSOD. Sometimes I see what the error is, sometimes it flashes so fast I only see blue and then its already rebooting. Right now, I'm letting it download Windows updates before I try to do anything else. I installed my wifi drivers, my graphics drivers, m.2 drivers, and Samsung magician to check the m.2. I've swapped the m.2 from the top mobo slot to the bottom one, but still have had some BSODs since doing that. I've run memtest and my RAM checks out, I opened up my GPU and cleaned and repasted it today just in case. I've been sitting on my laptop Googling every different BSOD as they come up. So far, I've had at least one if not more of each of these: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED APC_INDEX_MISMATCH UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_INVALID_LOCK_RELEASE SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION KERNEL_THREAD_PRIORITY_FLOOR_VIOLATION I've tried using WhoCrashed to see what drivers are failing, and it always shows fltmgr.sys and ntoskrnl.exe are the culprits. I've tried running Windows built-in driver verifier but it doesn't seem to show the crashing drivers when I run it, and its a pain to turn off. Basically, I'm at my wits end. I bought a new case to put everything in but currently the system is just sitting on my desk using the mobo box as a test bench because I'm afraid I may have to send something back. Problem is, I just can't figure out what's faulty, if anything, or if I got a corrupted install of Windows, or what. Pls halp. 16. Hi guys and gals, I've built a new rig to replace my old one and everything went smoothly until yesterday. I am a long time linux user and wanted to migrated my HDD from ext4 to ntfs to be able to use it for my games. So I set it up to transfer my files from the HDD to an external drive. It apparently tried to go to sleep since I was gone for a few hours but Ubuntu 19.04 does not yet support suspend on my Ryzen 5 3600, so I was stuck with a black screen as I got back. I tried to wake it up but had to resort to hold the power button for a few seconds to force it to turn off. Since then I can't get it to show anything on the display but the CPU and chassis fan just spin and act rather normal and even the GPU has a red light on. But that's about it. So the GPU does not even turn it's fan for a short time at POST. ? My rig CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 5700 Pulse 8GB MOBO: Gigabyte B450M DS3H (Rev 1.0) RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport AT DDR4-3200 CL16 (2x8GB) PSU: CORSAIR Netzteil RMx Series RM650x 2018 HDD: Seagate 1TB (I don't know the specific model) Second rig for troubleshooting (works fine by itself) CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix X470-I Gaming RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-3200 (2x4GB) What I tried The GPU was first only connected to a single PSU cable which connected first to the 8-pin and then the 6-pin connector. I tried to connect the GPU to two separate cables which did nothing I tried to boot it with my second pc but it only used the internal Vega 8 graphics The second pc did not recognize the RX 5700 in the BIOS but it worked for another GPU (Radeon R7 270) I DDUed the drivers from my second pc which did not help solve the issue I installed the drivers for the RX 5700 but even then did it not recognize it What works I verified that the PSU, HDMI cable and monitor work by setting the second pc up to use them. Those all work fine if the RX 5700 isn't connected. If you know anything to help me that would be absolutely fantastic. So please help, I don't want to have to throw away my new GPU.
  17. So I got all the parts to put together a dell xp but I think the graphics card might be out of date, but I don't know to much about PC's.
  18. I’m thinking on buying a vega 56 gpu (i use hackintosh and nvidia is not an option, also it has to be itx format. I know that vega56 nano by Powercolor does exist, but it is really hard to find used or new. Fortunately enough the same pcb is used in a few other cards (sapphire pulse, powercolor red dragon and xfx) I was thinking to put a cpu downdraft cooler on it, however I found a proper gpu cooler - thermalright shaman. (Back in the days it was capable to cool gtx480 and it was a really hot card with stock tdp of 240w) And it looks like it fits Vega 56 nano pcb Dimensions of the cooler Pcb an cooler alligned and it looks that it might fit. Can anyone who has a card with this pcb measure the distance between cooler mounting holes and the edges of the card, especially to the back if the card (dp and hdmi ports)
  19. Hello everyone, I need help with getting a GPU. I'm not planning to overclock, it's just for casual gaming. The price ($) is in bgn, not dollars. 1 usd = 1.75 bgn. Yes, they're very overpriced. Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 580 4GB 11265-07-20G (380$) Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 570 8GB 11266-66-20G (355$) Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 570 4GB 11266-14-20G (343$) I used this site to see the average fps of the RX 580 (82 fps) and RX 570 (69 fps), even thought they benchmarked a RX 580 8GB. I calculated the money per frames for the RX 580 - 4.63414634, for the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 570 4 GB - 4.97101449. Which card do you recommend? I've seen debates that the RX 570 8GB or RX 580 4GB isn't worth it, what do you think about them?
  20. Hello, so my system has always been loud. I thought that because my case is a modified PowerMac G5 (zero sound isolation), that my case fans were what were the loudest component in my system. Turns out that last night I was able to isolate what component was making all that noise when gaming. Turns out that my Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580s fans were spinning at over 2,300rpm despite the highest temp recorded by HWmonitor being only 58C. As you can expect, this makes the card EXTREMELY loud, I'm talking louder than a reference 480! Could HW monitor be wrong about the max temperature recorded? It was correct about the temps at idle and the RPMs reported matched the ones being reported by Wattman. What is even weirder is that when I was playing before I updated my drivers is that the card took like 5min to spin down its fans from the max down to like 805rpm. Even though the card was sitting around 47C. According to everything I've seen, the Zero RPM feature should mean that the fans are not spinning completely until like 55C. Could the stock fan curve have been totally borked? From what I can tell the fans should never be approaching their max RPM with the automatic fan curve on this card. Should I try switching to the other BIOS on this card? I can't find any documentation on which BIOS is which so I have no idea which one I'm using right now. Thanks.
  21. Soooo apparently, some sapphire cards have some sort of mounting pressure problems. This means that after a certain thermal paste replacement ( two or three times ? Mines 3 and my friend's two ) the card mounting pressure is screwed up and it made the card overheat increasingly, eventually death by overheat arrives. I'd love to have a clear insight about what went wrong but I don't have a lot of sapphire cards at disposal. By far here are some of the examples that I have discovered. Exhibit A ( My RX560 ) : I was having a quite good temp ( high 50 to mid 60 ) with the stock stuff. After my decision to replace the thermal paste the card hit 72 instantly and slowly rose to oblivion. My method of application: X, star, youtuber pattern, pea, line basically anything imaginable and the amount vary from too much to just enough. I've spent total of 20$ in thermal paste which is mx4, kryonaut. Exhibit B ( my friends RX570 ) : My friend was having a decent 74°C with same story and his card reached high 80s while he had spent the same amount of thermal paste as I did and he used the same mx4 and kryonaut and the only diffrence is he applied enough to cover the die which is quite excessive as to people standard. Tl;dr: seems like some sapphire polaris cards have issue with temperature after thermal paste replacement and it seems like it has something to do with pressure
  22. So I bought a second hand SAPPHIRE PULSE ITX RX 570 4GB GPU (I don't know if it's been mined on or even have a custom bios flashed on to it) and it has this annoying issue where the fan speeds come down very slowly. If the card undergoes load the temperature and fans stabilise at 78/79 degrees C and 3600RPM fan speed, but then as soon as the load is taken off the temperature goes down to 40 degrees C, but the fan speed is still very high. It then takes 10 minutes to drop down to 35 degrees C and 3000 RPM on the fans. ...and probably most annoying of all the GPU seems to jump from 0 rpm straight to to a high rpm when the temperature fluctuates between two discrete temperature values. From a fresh boot and no load on the GPU the fan speeds are very low.In the past, other cards that I've used have their fan speeds and temps drop at the same rate, but not this one for some reason.
  23. Which RX 570 would be better for Ryzen 5 2600? #Gigabyte RX 570 8GB #Msi Armor RX 570 8GB #Sapphire Pulse RX 570 8GB #XFX RX 570 8GB THANKS IN ADVANCE ??
  24. Hii, So I am going to get a RX 580 next week for my first build(cuz i have a freesync monitor) The cheapest RX 580 in my region(India) is a- Sapphire pulse RX 580 8GB(It also has a back-plate which is surprising at this price point) http://www.sapphiretech.com/productdetial.asp?pid=77B48A1E-9FCB-4F19-BC2D-17C3087E4852&lang=eng Is this graphic card good enough ? Can this brand be trusted? Please let me know.
  25. I purchased a couple of used RX 570's on Ebay for a couple of builds I'm working on for a husband and wife. The first one that I bought was advertised as an 4GB variant and that's what I paid for. To the PC, it appears as a 4GB model, but the stickers on the card say "SAPPHIRE PULSE RADEON RX570 8G DDR5" which doesn't match the more recent RX 570 that I received from another seller. Is it possible that the previous owner or maybe someone else flashed an 8GB card to appear as a 4GB model? I'm going to tear it apart and reapply thermal paste. Is there anything I should be looking for to confirm my theory? I'm very inexperienced with GPU teardowns and components.
