Hi everyone, I've been having a bad last couple of days. My Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro doesn't boot anymore. I turn my phone off every night before going to bed and power it on in the morning. Yesterday, when powering on the phone nothing unexpected happened until I realised that 30min later the phone had still not booted past the splash screen. I work as an IT technician so I have some basic smartphone troubleshooting experience. Here's what I can confirm: - The phone never goes past splash screen (see photo). - The only button combination that works is volume down + power. This reboots the phone but it always ends up stuck on the splash screen. - Another button combination (this phone has 5 ; power, volume +, volume -, Bixby and a fifth button on top) found on Samsung help or XDA forums does not do anything, even held for minutes at a time (Volume+, Bixby and Power). - The battery is removable so I've tried these procedures with and without the battery. - I can't seem to turn it off either. Holding just the power button does nothing. Need to remove battery to turn it off. Installing the battery makes the phone boot. It's not too important as it's my work phone but I would love to have it running again. I'm willing to wipe it if I have to but I can't boot into recovery and any desktop app to flash firmware doesn't find the phone as it never actually boots. Thanks for your time reading this and thank you if you have any potential solutions. - Romain

I have a Galaxy J8 (SM-J810Y) phone from 2018 which has been updated to Android 10 but it really feels so slow so I decided to that I want to downgrade it to it's stock android 8 but it got some problems. As I flash the Android 8 firmware using Samsung's Odin, I always got an error of SW_REV_CHECK_FAIL [aboot] fused 6, binary 2. I tried everything even voiding the Samsung Knox which sacrifices my Secure Folder, Samsung Health, Samsung Internet's private mode, and Samsung Pass which I really regreted doing. Currently i'm running on Android 9 with the security patch level of February 1, 2020 which is already obsolete. Is there any trick that can fix or atleast bypass this issue? Do you guys also know any custom rom for this model? Any tip will be apprecieated

I've been looking out for a new phone to buy, since the storage limit of my current one, the galaxy s7, is killing me. The models I've put into closer consideration are the s20 FE, the a72, but there's also the soon to be released (?) s21 FE (even tho it could be a bit overe my budget on release). I was also thinking about the s10(/e), but was told that it wouldn't be a wise descition to make. I've found a good deals for the s20 FE for under 500€. Is it still worth picking it up in a month or so or wise to wait a bit more time for the s21 FE? My problem is that I don't have much knowlageble when it's comming to Smartphones and it's tech, I'm an easy target for all of this this product confusion. I mean, I couldn't care less about the cam of the phone, I'm mostly using it for some games here and there anyway, as well as watching stuff on Youtube or stream on Netfix. Also Browsing the web and doing work related stuff, but every phone can do this. The most important thing tho, is it's long term value, since I wont change it in a couple of years? Any help/advice would mean the world to me! Thanks in advance.

Looking for a glass screen protector for my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Many of the Amazon results seem to have reviews that claim the protector will not work with the fingerprint sensor. Do any of you have a screen protector that will work with the fingerprint sensor? Please recommend, any advice would be appreciated. ^_^

As we now, the Galaxy Note 8 is coming out on the 23. August, So i probably just saw a Test Version of the Galaxy Note 8. Details: It looked like a more Bulkier Galaxy S8 with sharper Edges, and the Edge Feature. It was in a Matt Red Colour with Black on top and bottom of the Screen. It had a normal Note Pen. The Back is the Interesting Part: It had a Single Camera, which looked to be a 16MP Sensor whit no Fingerprint Scanner on the Back! So this could be a Clue that the Fingerprint Scanner is embedded beneath the Screen! I couldn't photograph it because the Guy put it into his Pocket and went away as i was trying to photograph it

I bought myself an S6 off someone a couple weeks ago. It was bought used, but it's in mint condition. It started giving me phantom presses on the multi-tasking button, which got so bad it made the device unusable. I installed a custom rom, then rooted, and edited a system file to permanently disable the button, so I at least have functionality again. The issue doesn't end there, however. My screen seems to register input which interferes with normal use. If I scroll, it'll automatically halt itself. If I watch a YouTube video in fullscreen, the pause, scrubber and whatnot keep popping in and out as if I hit it myself. I have show touches enabled in dev mode though, and it's not showing me any other touches. Also using testing app, it registers all of my touches, and doesn't show any other ones that shouldn't be there. Clearly, there's some sort of issue with interference, something in the phone must be touching something it shouldn't. I've tried all methods you'd ask me to try, so I'm looking for someone who's dealt with this issue and understands what's going on more then I do. I can't get a refund, as dick seller assumes it's my fault - nothing I could do there. Even if it had warranty, that's not an option due to Knox being tripped. And I live in a small town where phone repair isn't possible, plus the price would be equivalent to a new phone anyways. I have a repair kit, and I've got a roll of phone adhesive, so if this is something I could repair myself, that would be best. Let me know, thanks

Went in to a local phone repair store today to have my S4's cracked screen repaired. The guys running the place were very nice, and had an S4 screen and digitizer combo in stock. (They only offer replacements of both, and don't just replace the screen, so my device is rocking new glass and a new digitizer.) Left it with them for 45 minutes or so and boom, screen was fixed! Well, sorta... Essentially I'm having some issues with responsiveness now. The phone is incredibly sluggish responding to inputs that is especially noticeable while typing. I use Swype often, and that works okay, but typing fast like I normally do causes the keyboard (Google Keyboard) to freak out and enter random text. Moving through pages on the home screen feels like it's behind by almost half a second if it decides to respond at all, and scrolling on the google now page or any web page is pretty bad. I am of course keeping in mind that this phone launched early 2013 and is definitely dated, but the change in responsiveness is very noticeable from earlier today, and I'm concerned that the new screen/digitizer combo is causing it. Not really sure what to do at this point... Is this even something that can happen?

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy J8 from Australia because I lost my phone there. When I came home to India I found out that the Australian J8 does not support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) but I need VoLTE for my Indian sim card to work. So I went to the Samsung service center but they straight away denied any support since I bought this in another country. The Indian varient J8 supports VoLTE but the Australian one does not even when both the phones have the exact same hardware. So its a software limitation. Can anyone suggest any method I can use to install any custom ROM that'll support VoLTE. I'm willing to install anything, root my phone or whatever it takes since I'm never gonna get any warranty on this. So I might as well try everything else.

Hi, I recently downloaded the official android pie firmware for the Galaxy S9 plus using SamFirm and flashed it using Odin. The flash process went smooth but I have a big problem: Most of the modes are missing from the camera and the video feels very laggy. FHD 60fps + UHD + UHD 60fps modes are missing from the camera. I didn't reset the phone before that, however, I flashed a small CSC file that came with the firmware that was supposed to wipe user data automatically. Otherwise, everything is running butter smooth. The downloaded firmware is the German (DBT) version. Below the PDA/CSC code: PDA G965FXXU2CRLI CSC G965FOXM2CRLI Anyone else facing similar issues? Anyone any idea what went wrong? Any help is appreciated.

To jump right to it I am looking for a new phone and I usually a heavy phone user, doing a lot of things on it. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and destroyed beyond repair. With all of the leaks/opening of the leevee it is safe to assume most likely what that phone will be. A first question I did have is why, why buy the new Pixel 3. Hardware wise, it is almost the same as the Pixel 2 and the changes are mostly minor, especially when you consider they will run the same OS. Obviously the Pixel 3 is still "rumours" but it will probably run the same as the Pixel 2 XL with Android 9. I am curious about opinions compared to the newest Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Note 9. I am tired of all of the Samsung bloat ware eating up CPU and RAM usage and do prefer stock Android. Are there other phones to keep my out for? I won't be getting anything until October-ish, so waiting is an option. I am curious about the Asus ROG phone, because it is pretty cool, but I don't think my significant other would like the RGB back of it, not to mention it would probably be expensive.

Hey All, I was recently in a rush to switch off my phone but accidentally turned it on again... So instead of waiting all the way through the start-up when the Samsung logo appeared I pulled out the battery and put it back in so it would switch off. I only tried to switch my phone back on later at night, and realised it didn't switch on. I thought the battery was low so I left it to charge for a few hours... Went back to check, the power charging indicator hadn't shown up and the phone didn't start either. The wall power, plug and USB cable are fine as I tried with other devices but my phone just won't start Its been two days and it still hasn't turned back on.... PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello, I wish to know your opinions on which model of the Samsung Galaxy S Tab is better. I have enough money for either one, I just would like to know your experiences with the tablets. If you could also recommend what you believe to be the best cover that would also be greatly appreciated

Hello Currently I have been using the Apple iPhone 5 as my first smartphone but would like to give Android a try. One of my friends just got the new iPhone 5c to replace their old Galaxy s3. The s3 has no damage what so ever but the battery did stop working therefore I would have to buy a new battery. They said I could buy it from them for $50 and I would have to buy the battery myself too. So my question is, should I go for it to try android? Or should I save my money and get the s5 or HTC One M8. Like I said I only want to android and if it turns out I like it then I would stick with the s3 as my daily driver. If not I would just reactivate my iPhone 5. Like I said there is absolutely zero damage on the phone and it is like new but without a battery. Should I go for it? Does the OS lag at all?
