Hello guys! There is a PC I've seen that is relatively cheap that I want to buy, which is the HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF. The specs for it is; CPU: i5-6500 SSD: 240GB (I want to upgrade to Samsung 860 Evo 1TB) RAM: 16GB RAM, 2400 Mhz GPU: None (if you don't count the Intel HD), but I have a GTX 1050 Ti Low profile that I want to add and use. Now since this doesn't have a lot of PSU, i think it's either 200W or 240W, is it possible to buy a Samsung 860 Evo 1TB (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-MZ-76E1T0B-EU-Solid-State/dp/B078WST5RK) And add a GTX 1050 Ti Low Profile, 4GB (https://www.newegg.com/amp/msi-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-gtx-1050-ti-4gt-lp/p/N82E16814137081) I've seen that some have written that was able to get the GTX 1050 Ti up and running and worked great! i'm also going add the graphic card, however 240GB storage is too low, that's why i want to add at least 1TB instead. I t doesn't even have to be specifically the Samsung 860 Evo, i just chose that due to the reability. Do you think this PC can handle the upgrade?

What is the difference between the Adata Su650 and the samsung 860 evo, as they have the same read write speeds. Is it that the Samsung one has dram cache and the Adata is a dram-less ssd? I would like to know how big of a difference it will make in a general use, as I've never used a ssd before. and any other recommendations would be nice for a 250 gb ssd.

One of My Samsung 860 Evo 1tb SSD is pulling 6000 +MB/s read and write speeds which is nearly twice as fast as my Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVME drive. Is there a way to get my NVME and other Samsung solid state drive to reach the speeds forementioned?

I bought a computer off Ebay the listing said the power supply had fried it self and was untested and may or may not work and he didn't want it anymore. It was listed for $150 parts or repair the listing showed it was the Dell Optiplex 9010 MT made into a gaming computer with a 4gb video card, gaming memory, Windows 10 Pro and no hard drives included. There wasn't much listed for the full specs but I decided to take the risk buying it. I seen there was 7 offers on this computer already that were still pending so I went and paid full asking price. This computer came with no power supply or hard drives and the card reader didn't work. I had to clean the whole computer it was very dusty but in good shape after I cleaned and rebuilt it the computer works fine for over a month now no problems yet. What I am wondering is this a good computer for gaming in 2020? and did I get a good deal? the way the listing shows this computer can game at 60 fps to 150 fps seemed a little off but maybe I'm wrong since I don't play any games yet but I may get into gaming if this computer is good enough. Also I am wondering how much this computer maybe worth compared to what I have paid I have $215 total into this computer. What's the better Sata SSD? Both have similar prices here: Crucial MX500 is 142 levs = 81.14$ and the 860 EVO is 159 levs = 90.86. I saw the Evo is faster in some benchamrks, but it's longevity is smaller (it was 150 TB vs crucial's 180TB iirc) What are your opinions? I've ordered the Crucial one but i can cancel the order. Should i get the Samsumng 860 EVO? Is there perhaps a better NVMe SSD?

Hi, SAMSUNG 860 EVO VS KINGSTON A400 What is the main difference between these two? Which one is worth for gaming? (mainly for the RUST) Is 860 EVO worth the extra money? (860 EVO is 5000 rupees expensive than the Kingston one)

I was originally going to get the 970 250 GB (NVMe) over the 860 250 GB, but I have noticed that there is a 500 GB version of the 860 for around the same price. Is it the better deal? I've been told here that I am unlikely to notice the speed difference between the two, at which point I have started wondering if it might be a better idea to get the one with more space instead. Is this the case, or should I still go for the 970 250GB over the 860 500GB? Thanks.

So I finally decided to add a second SSD to my system. My first one is a 1tb Samsung 850 EVO which holds everything on my computer and the new one I just installed is a 2tb 860 EVO. Now my 850 performs great and always has, but when I bench marked my new 860 it's showing pretty sub par read and write speeds. At first I thought maybe it's just showing that because it doesn't have anything stored on it, so I filled it up a bit, but still got the same result. It's my understanding that the 860 is supposed to perform slightly better than the previous generation. I ran the full diagnostic scan in the Samsung Magician software and it came up with no problems. Another thing that concerns me is that when I run the program UserBenchmark to benchmark my system, the system crashes when it gets to testing my 2tb drive and I'm not sure why. Does anybody know what the problem might be? How should I troubleshoot this? Is this a faulty drive?

A little background: I have 2x 6TB WD Red drives, 1x Samsung 860 EVO (2.5") and a Corsair RM750x (2018). So I was having some issues booting my system. Whenever it powered on, it would immediately shutdown. However, it would only shutdown whenever all SATA-cables (data & power) were plugged in. After some more troubleshooting, I figured out the problem: I had plugged a SATA-cable from another PSU into my PSU. Needless to say, the cable had a way different pinout, than what fits my PSU (look to crude MS Paint diagram). The only hardware that has suffered damages, seems to be the storage drives. So what I'd wanna know is: Are they perhaps still fixable? - Is it a small matter of replacing a fuse, or are they basically just paperweights now Thank you in advance

System: CPU: i7 8700k MB: ASUS Z370-A (Currently BIOS 0809) SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5" Windows 10 Pro 1803 Build: 17134.137 i've been having this issue for a while now, my memory is not that great so i can't really tell you the specific date, but it started in June. so i bought my SSD on 20/06 and i've had BIOS 0616 on my motherboard, benchmarked the drive thoroughly with lots of software to make sure everything is to spec, and it was working perfectly, even a little above spec. but after i installed BIOS 0805 i've been having these Write issues (i didn't check after i installed 0805 instantly but i checked a few days after i installed it for sure), that BIOS also includes the new Intel ME update (Management Engine), i think that is related to the new Spectre Variant 4 while benchmarking my SSD with DiskMark my SSD starts with 530mb/s with 500-100ms average latency (according to Task Manager), then it quickly drops down to 330mb/s and the latency jumps to 16000ms and it stays there. what the hell seems to be the problem? i really don't get it... i really need more information about this, and if someone has the same board or similar ASUS board with the same BIOS. (i do not have another system to test unfortunately)

Hello, I am looking for a new SSD to use as a boot drive and put a few games on. The Samsung 860 EVO 250GB is $100 right now (NZD, my currancy). I could get that, or the 500GB version for $50 more. So it's one of those two, or the Crucial MX500 500GB for $130. I'm not sure how their performances compare. To summarise: Samsung 860 EVO 250GB - $100 Crucial MX500 500GB - $130 Samsung 860 EVO 500GB - $150 Which would you recommend? Thanks
