I simply need to know if the voltages I'm seeing on the VID (Max) of WHMonitor are safe, and or what those safe tolerances really are I've searched for a few days and found nothing useful besides the usual "Vsoc Shouldn't go above 1.3" with zero input on the rest of that issue. I am worried for the longevity of the system based on this. I have the following system and the pictures posted below are what my current voltages and relevant details are. Windows 11 /64 Pro AMD Ryzen 9 7950x 4501 Mhz (1.250 VSoC) AsRock X670E Pro RS 2x 16G Trident 6000Mhz ram (1.300v) Samsung M.2 980 NZXT C1200w PSU 1.28 - AMD AGESA ComboAM5PI 1.0.0.7 ( 07/27/2023) Bear in mind this is the first top tier system I've had in near a decade so you may have to talk to me like I'm a dummy. that's okay I need to learn.

Alright, before I go and daily these settings, could anyone tell me if they're safe? PBO is configured with Auto Scalar & Default Limits Asus Core Performance Boost is enabled. Curve Optimiser set to -15 on almost all cores and -10 on two of them (this is what I found to be stable, -30 wouldn't even boot). Core, SOC Voltages are set to Auto, reading as 1.353V and 1.080V in CMOS respectively. In single-threaded workloads, VID reads between 1.2V and 1.26V Clocks range between 4.69Ghz (nice) and 4.95Ghz in single-threaded workloads, steady at 4.6Ghz all-core in Cinebench Max temperatures are around 87⁰C (it's a bit toasty but I think this is all my NH-D15 can do at over 210W all-core) DOCP at 3600Mhz, Auto Voltage reading at 1.352V System Specs: AMD Ryzen 5950X (PBO Enabled, Core Enhancements Enabled) Noctua NH-D15 chromax Corsair Vengence LPX 3600Mhz/C16 (DOCP Enabled) Asus Crosshair Dark Hero VIII X570 Samsung 980 Pro 1TB x2 LG Optical Drive Hotplug 2.5 inch SATA Bay Samsung 870 Evo 2TB Nvidia RTX 3090 Founders LSi 9211-8i HBA 5x Seagate IronWolf Pro 6TB Corsair HXi 1000W PSU

Hello I’m considering ghost spectre 11 on my old laptop with ssd and 8gb if ram and wanted to install a good lite windows 11 (because I heard it’s better in performance) but I’m considered that it may be an account spyware of some sort to steal accounts, is it safe? also is there other lite os better than it in performance for gaming but not too ugly? Thanks.

Hey guys not sure if this is the right part of the site to ask about this but I'll be moving soon for college across country and I'll be taking a plane and I need some help and advice with how I should transport my computer. Currently I plan to disassemble most of the parts leaving the chassis pretty much empty and hand carrying my HDD and SSDs with me along with my GPU and Motherboard but I do plan on leaving the CPU in the Motherboard socket but I don't know if that's safe? I didn't wanna bring the CPU box since it's really bulky but if I have to do so to make sure it's safe please do tell. Everything else besides that will be pretty much be put in their original box. Another concern I have right now is they don't have any anti-static bags big enough for my HDD and I was thinking of using paper bags to use as an alternative as that's what I've seen to do online, is that still viable advice or is that misinformation? I was going to order it online but it would take 2 weeks and my flight is in a week so that was poor planning on my part.

No matter what settings it boots into safe mode, so I have so far tried the following: * reset back to default (still safe mode) * re-install windows (can use it again now when manually booting into windows, despite jedec RAM speeds & resizable bar not working) * reset CMOS did nothing. * tried installing a older BIOS going from 1620 to 1605 which it allowed me to do but still no improvement. Did I fuck it up or is something else going on? Should I try to remove RAM sticks or other devices and see if the issue goes away? I suspect it might be TPM related.

Hey, I'm in the mists of buying the final two components for my computer and have found that due to multiple circumstances the memory kit I had intended to buy is out of stock everywhere except Newegg and MemoryC. Unfortunately there are no other kits, by another brand, in the UK that have the same specifications; not sure as to why, perhaps due to shortages etc or that the specs are popular with those who have adopted the Ryzen platform. But I digress, is memoryc.co.uk a legitimate website and has anybody had any experience with them before? Also, how does Newegg's warranty policy work for those shipping internationally? Newegg have given me very conflicting information and after searching around myself I have been unable to resolve at a conclusion. Thank you for the help in advance, Stay safe, Lex.

I have a ryzen 5 1400 I am using now on my gaming rig (used to have 2600, but its in my work machine now... waiting for after scalpers go away to get something better.) I dont need bleeding edge performance, I just want the most stable experience, with least issues. Don't have time to play around with overclocking. What is a "basic" light overclock that i can throw on that will not screw me up, but not leave too much performance on the table?

Hello, I want to put my PS4 on a metal filing cabinet like this: I am wondering if this is a safe thing to do, as the filing cabinet isn’t as sturdy / more prone to vibration than wood. Thanks.

Hello, So I would like to encrypt my PC drives. It's all well and good to have secure passwords but you can easily take out a drive and plug it into another PC, load up linux and see everything. I'm trying to avoid that scenario. What types of protection do you use for your drives?

Hello everyone. So I have Bitdefender Ultimate Security Plus... literally their biggie dickus mode software. But the software I'm desperate to use but unsure about is an alleged Minecraft World converter called: "Universal Minecraft Converter". For example, it claims to convert world save data to Poket edition, Java, etc to Windows and vice versa... I saw this youtube video... ... When I see the youtube comments it appears it works for people who have paid. When I google the software "Is Universal Minecraft Converter A Scam?" 2 websites pop up which use algorithms or something to san for trustworthiness. One was a .org and one was a .com. I think they're https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/universalminecrafteditor.com and I can't for the life of me reproduce the google search that had the .org one. The .org one had apparently ran MacFee or whatever, Norton, and another software to detect for suspicious activity but passed those 3 software's tests. When I googled the Pryze Software LLC they seem to have a valid location and certification... Many other you tubers have featured the app since 2020. I've been waiting since my childhood to be able to convert my java worlds. But I'd hate to be a sucker. What are your opinions?

Hello wonderful ltt forum! I came today around, to ask you guys for some good combinations of voltages and clocks on my cpu. Pc config. : CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060 ti RAM: 8x2 GB, 3000 MHz (crosair vengeance) Motherboard: Asus B450-plus w/ uefi Bios (ver. 1804) Storage: 1 ssd m.2 250gb, 1 ssd data 500gb, 1 hdd 2tb; I have a new thermalpaste comming, is the thermal grizzly kryonaut, and I want to make a spring clean on my pc, excluding windows. For now I managed to clock my cpu from 3.4-3.2 GHz (it was a prebuild ant it was capped at 3.4 GHz) at 3.9 and around 1.375 v, I haven't done anything else to voltages or clocks, I just managed to make a stress test at that of 1 min which the max power was 120w with constant 60c° I had a previous attempt at 4 GHz with 1.3v ant it failed miserably. So I closed the pc from button (ik it isn't ok) entered bios and lowered the clocks and increased the voltage, stress tested 1 min and it worked out fantastic. If I haven't mentioned, I have an Artic Esprtos duo 34 cooler which has a rated w cooling of 200 Ish W, the only real problem would be the power supply but il let that to you. Kozouki posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello, im using an i5-4460 @ 3.20Ghz cpu and the temperature goes up to 83c when I render some projects. Is it safe for my cpu or will it cause damage if I let it render for many hours? Ps: I don't know much about some of the specs of my computer has since this was only given to me and it is second hand.- 8 replies

Using Ryzen Master to OC my 3600X. Got to 4.4 All core at 1.375V. Before I start backing the voltage down seeing if I can maintain it at .35 or .325 what is the actual max safe for normal use on Zen 2? Would .385 or .395 be safe to see if I can push to 4.45 or 4.5?

Hello. I recently tried to get better overclocks on my i7 6700k. When i first got the cpu, i overclocked it to 4.5 at 1.275 volts. Then later i wanted to do better, i upped it to 4.7 with 1.325 volts, because anything under just crashed my system. When used prime 95 i got Temps: 60 to 75C after 5 min of testing, Then i tried witcher 3 and i managed to get 80C, is this safe? I have an Corsair H100i V2 Watercooler My specs: Intel Core i7 6700k Corsair H100i V2 GTX Watercooler GTX 1080 Strix from Asus Kingston Hyperx DDR4 2133MHz EVGA GQ 750W PSU Crucial MX 300 SSD Corsair Carbide 400C Clear Case

Hi, I use a Zotac gtx 960 amp 4gb edition gpu and it hits 80°C+ in most cases if the fans are kept at auto during summer. I use msi afterburner to manually tweak the fan settings at 1:1 and then it hovers around 70-75°C mostly. So there's a slider named 'Temperature limit' and I had kept it at 65°C and automatically the 'power limit' slider came down to 46%. If I keep the temperature target at 70 the power remains at 64% and 75C for 80% power. While it does a great job keeping the temperature at bay but I'm worried if under-powering the card would affect its longevity or performance in any way(so far I haven't noticed any change in performance). I had tested witcher 3, gta v, nfs 2k16 and a few other games and it was the same result in general, witcher 3 being on the higher side. I also did a testing with furmark abd got similar result. Is it okay to use the temperature targets like this? Or is it okay to keep the card at manual? And should I install more cabinet fans? Links to the pics of my cabinet below: & My full pc spec:Cpu: Intel Core i7 6700Gpu: Zotac gtx 960 amp 4gbRam: Kingston Hyperx fury 8gb 2133 x2Mobo: Gigabyte B150M-D3HPsu: Xfx pro 650w gaming edition bronze 80Hdd: Wd 1tb blueCase: Cooler master N300Cooling: 3x 120mm cooler master sickle flow for exhaust and hyper 103 for cpu. (the case is well ventilated and cables are well managed to keep a negative air pressure inside) Any suggestion or help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone. So my when i logged onto my pc I noticed my cursor did move but i couldn't click anything. I did a scan in de the command prompt and I had to restart my pc, no problems yet. When I wanted to login I didn't see the prompt bar where i'm supposed to type my password... Alright then lets see if I can get into safe mode and see what I can do there using these ways: Pressed Windows icon + r to launch a run command - No response Pressed the space, enter, and any other buttons to launch a password prompt - no response Tried to start up the Windows 10 using F8 safe mode (I know it does not work for Windows 10 but I tried anyway) Can anyone help me out so i can log in again? (My apologies for my bad English)

I have a blue yeti microphone at home and I was wondering what would be the best paint type to paint both the body, the metal filter on top, the base, and legs. But all in all have it still look clean. Also is there any way to add texture to it such as carbon fiber.

Hello, I plan on traveling home for a month, and I really want to bring me PC that I built with me. (Thank you Linus by the way, your channel helped me build my first computer in February) My PC has a Kraken 62 on it and I was wondering if I needed to worry about pressure at altitude. I was also wondering if you think the stock box and foam for the case would be enough padding. I have a S340 Elite, or would putting those air bags inside the case also be a good idea. I will be looking forward to a response and your welcome for the video idea.
