Hey LTT. Just this morning I woke up to find my phone screen covered in this black and bluish something that almost completely obstructed the screen. I think the LCD screen might've leaked or something but I'm no expert on things like this (the smudges are below the top screen, and the touchscreen still works fine). Anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thanks a ton in advance! Pics: http://imgur.com/a/27VTJ EDIT: By the way, it was working just fine last night, and it hasn't been dropped or anything since then.

So I got about $80 to spend on a nice power bank. I would like one with lots of features. But, finding one on Amazon that has the features I need are hard to come across. I would like the following features: At least 10,000 mAh or more Flashlight Cable inside of it (it always stays with it. It will need to be micro usb or adaptable) As for appearance, as long as its not a neon color, i'm okay with any color in particular.

Hey, my phone decided to crash on me while using it. it's restarted and now stuck on "Starting Apps" with a greenish background. it's been like this for one hour. Is there any way to turn it off since holding down the power button doesn't work. Thanks

Hi, So I had some issues recently, in fact for about 3 weeks now, with Whatsapp on my Samsung s6 (newest Android version 6.0.1, that is available). So, i often dont get an on screen message that i got a new notification and it`s content, but rather, a message that claims,, There could be new messages available for you"( roughly translated). Often this claim isn´t true at all and their arent even new messages available. Additionally, when i start Whatsapp, it often doesnt download the new messages i got, until i tap on a specific chat. Has anybody the same problem or some advices ?

Hi everyone, I have a Galaxy S6 from Vodafone and I would like to install an official non-Vodafone stock ROM because I want to get rid of all that Vodafone junk that auto-installs when updating. My phone is free, meaning that the S6 is not company-locked. I've seen that everyone uses Odin in order to get this, but I'm not completely sure that Odin doesn't root the device when installing the stock ROM. The reason that i don't want to root my device is to keep receiving OTA updates, and to keep getting Samsung KNOX. I have downloaded a stock ROM from sammobile, and there they reccomend to use Odin, but, as I said, I'm afraid of rooting my device by accident. Thanks for your help.

So I've had the S6 for about 1.5 years now, but about 8 of the most recent months, it's been out of order until a week ago since the screen was broken and I kept putting off on fixing it. Once I got it fixed, it updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, and I've noticed that my battery drains extremely quickly, much faster than I remembered it (I think it ran Android 6.0.1 or 6.1.1, don't quite remember exactly). For example, just today, I pulled it off the charger after it fully charged (including some "trickle-charging" to top off the charge), used the phone to browse a bit of Reddit, scroll through some files and reorganize my music while listening to it all on very low brightness with no WiFi (just using data), after just 35 minutes of usage, it dropped to 81%!!! What can I do about this? Please don't mention lowering screen brightness or the very simple power saving stuff like turn off background stuff - I already did most of that. I will try factory reset as my last resort, or even reverting it back to Marshmellow as my last-last resort. Can anyone please help? Thanks.

Galaxy S6 Edge After ~1 and half years. Intro The phone us much more affordable now. is it still worth it if get now?.I bought the phone during the day that samsung launches the phone in MalaysiaMy use case includes, a lot of browser use, no gaming, streaming HIFI music using tidal, listening to podcast , always on bluetooth to connect to my pebble smartwatch. Hardware The glass back and metal sides still very premium feeling. The design is still unique in my opinion. The dual edge curved screen is still awesome to look at. The phones feel slimmer than actual dimensions because of the slim sides due to the edge screen. The phone feels slippery with it metal sides and glass back. Slim sides because of the edge does not help either. Glass back picks up finger print a lot. I use a case just to mask the fingerprint. Surprisingly durable for a glass sandwich phone. Droped it one time without case from waist height into rough road surface face first, and phone survived with only minor scratch on metal sides. Droped many many times using a case with no damage. The metal sides does not have any small scratcher that usually get from coins and keys. The lower back glass have a nasty scratch. Not sure what caused it. The fingerprint surface of this phone is made from plastic, so does have that small micro scratches, fortunately the scratches does not affect the performance of the fingerprint. Battery Life Battery life on this phone is very poor. Dont expect for the phone to last a full day. Its impossible to achieve ( without using the ultra power saving of course) . It even barely manages to last me a half day. Bringing along a power bank is a must if you are away from a power outlet. I use my phone with a smartwatch (pebble time) which means that my bluetooth is always on. So your battery life performance will vary slightly. software/performance Software performance now is much more smooth and fluid if compared to when i first bought it. Launch software performance of the phone was not great Navigating the UI is frustrating with occasional slowdowns and stutters in UI animation. Launch UI have crapy ram managements. Sometimes apps icon dont load on home screen. Software performance now is much more smooth and fluid if compared to when i first bought it. The marshmallow update bring a lot of performance gain. Jangky and stuttering animations are gone. Ram management are much improved. Updates are slow but al least it still gets it. Google october security patch gets it on end of october. Every software updates bring improvement to overall performance. For people that are saying that samsung phones are getting slower over time is not true. Still smooth even after a lot of apps installed. App load times is a little slower but you won't notice it. Benchmarks score dont differ compared to launch. For people who takes a lot of photos and video 32gb of storge is not enough. The lack of sd card expansion does not help to. Camera Not much different even after 1+years (still great). Using auto mode just works and photos came out great. You can download additional modes for the camera from samsung app store eg. 360 photos Final words the performance is much better now from launch software. Camera is still great and reliable. Still gets software update but dont expect fast software updates. My opinion is that the phone is not worth it just because the horrible battery life. Other aspect of the phone is great and i am very satisfied with the phone.Didnt regret buying it on launch If planning to buy it just forget.Better of getting other phones than this. any comment on my writing is welcome, also share your experience and your thoughts if you are using the same phone. TLDR version

So the battery life on Galaxy S6s is pretty bad. Been looking around for a good battery case, but am wary of investing in one of the more expensive ones and the cheaper ones seem to have mixed reviews in terms of quality (you get what you pay for). Does anyone have any suggestions/opinions on battery cases for the Samsung Galaxy S6?

Is $150 for a Samsung S6 Active 64gb too good to be true?

Almost every single day my phone asks me to update its OS and im so afraid that it will eventually just do it without my permition.. and its also really annoying having it ask me to update all the time.. Is there a way to completely disable updates, disable future updates, and stop it from asking me all the time? Even id i have to root my phone.. If you wonder why i want to do this, well, once my iphone 4s was about 3 years old, there came an update that sank the performance to the ground, and i also remember the performance getting worse and worse for every new ios update. This phone is just over two years old now, and i havent updated it in quite a while, and i dont want to in fear of losing performance and battery life. Im happy with the phone as it is now. I dont want to update until the day i buy a new phone!

So I'm pretty much about as pissed off as I could be right now. I just left my phone on the couch in my living room, and my dad, as stupid as this may sound, just didn't notice it and sat on it. Now I don't know what other parts of the phone have been affected, but a small part on the right of the display completely glitched out and now it won't respond anymore. Sometimes when I try to unlock my phone it won't even show the screen, or it would show it for a couple of seconds then go dark. Sometimes I can simply just unlock it but the display part that has been affected still won't work. Weird part is, the screen isn't even broken at all, it just has the most miniscule scratches I've ever seen on it. I don't know if I need to replace anything, is there any chance that the display has nothing to do with it and maybe it's just some sort of bug? Please help as I have purchased this phone this summer and I am completely freaking out. Plus it wasn't really that cheap.

Hey, I have an s6 which has been dead for a few months because it was submerged into water, luckily my dad had a spare older phone I could use and so I just left my s6 alone... Iv done minor digging into the topic and found ppl using isopropyl alcohol to combat the effects of water damage.. but they were using phones which were resenty damaged. So is it possible to revive my s6 since it has been damaged for a few months?

My s6 is starting to get a bit old, to the point where i have to use surgical precision to insert my charger, but the phone is completely fine so i thought i'd use the wireless charging feature instead of buying a new phone Anything i should be aware of when buying a wireless phone charger? I see there are massive price differences.

Hello! I've been wandering if I should get a used Samsung s6 (my lg G3 broke the other day) the only thing holding me back is the appalling battery!! 2550mAH on a QHD screen!? I use my phone quite alot during the day, mostly use apps like Instagram, Strava etc... I also watch YouTube a bit, don't usually play games but occasionally I play a few low demanding games, will this phone be able to do from 9am - 3pm under moderate usage? If not then I guess I will get something like the lg g4 or g5 (g4 is risky) also don't want to spend more than £120. thanks for any help

Hi! I'm planning to buy the galaxy S6 but the problem is that it's a verizon galaxy s6.However it will be unlocked just like all the other carrier phones smuggled from other countries to Pakistan My question is that, because it's unlocked, can I install the ROMs made for the international variants of the s6 on this verizon version or will I have to find ROMs specifically made for the verizon galaxy s6

so my samsung galaxy s6 will literally last about 2 hours before dying and i dont know why, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this

I have 2 options for a phone rn. The G5 and the S6 and both cost the same here The reason for my confusion is that:- The G5 has been reported to have bootloop issues like its predecessor the G4 And that it's quad core as compared to the S6 that is octa core Are there any other issues with either of these? Issues related to software matter but not too much as I'm planning to install a custom rom on either anyways but do mention em please what should I get then? Thanks in advance

Hello, For some reason my S6 screen wouldn't go to sleep. Whenever I press the button, 3 seconds or so later it turns back on. When I leave the screen on it dims down then shuts off and then turns right back on again. It's not damaged, must be software or something I hope.... I'm kinda worried, I can't turn it off unless I completely shut it off. This means I can't listen to music without the screen on etc. Any way to fix this?

I've done a little research on rooting my phone I've never done it before but every guide I come across is not compatible with my phone. I have the Galaxy s6 SM-G920V the build number is G920VVRU4CPF4 running on 6.0.1 android version whenever I look up a guide either the build isn't supported or the model number isnt supported if it's possible that would be amazing I hate having a clunky phone/crapware/os

As the title says i'm looking for a fairly high quality VR headset for my S6. I was looking into getting the gear VR or Zeiss VR one but not having the accessibility to change the dpi sounds like a massive risk especially if i'm buying these headsets off amazon. Any Ideas?!?!
