I've been looking at the Lumix S5 for a while and found this deal. I want a good camera for both video and photography and this looks like a good full frame option. Should I jump on this or wait for the Lumix S6? https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Mirrorless-Recording-F3-5-5-6-DC-S5KK/dp/B08FCYFL42

Hi there! My brother got the Galaxy S5 about half a year ago and he's been having some battery and or charging issues along the way. To begin with we bought a "refurbished" phone from eBay, which came with a broken wall adapter. Although that was kind of a bummer he still had his old wall adapter (from a Galaxy S3 Neo) and the new cable worked anyway, although it was kind of slow to charge the entire battery. But the battery performance got worse over time and the charging issues got more and more annoying as well which made us buy both a new battery and wall adapter. The battery (obviously) worked right away but there are some issues with the new wall adapter. No matter with which cable you plug it into the phone, it just turns on the screen (like it would normally do when you start charging) but then stops charging immediately afterwards. Sometimes it keeps going and the notification LED lights up in a fixed interval. We've tried it with three different devices (all S5s, except one has the stock ROM on it, but that shouldn't make a difference) and the same happened on all of them. I searched for a solution online for a while but I didn't find any answers. I've got an idea myself why those issues are happening but I'm not sure. My guess is that the voltage could be too high and it is in fact higher on the new adapter. In this picture you can see the new adapter, an original S5 charger and the old charger (from left to right). I can also tell you that there's an "Adaptive Fast Charging" logo on the back of the new charger, that may help. My question is: Why does the new adapter not work? Thanks in advance EDIT: The new wall adapter is from amazon

Have been using an S5 for nearly a year, after having used an S3 for 2+ years. Has anyone made an upgrade recently from an S5 or phones from the same time-period? What did you get - how do you like it? What's important to me is: - Ability to place a strong case on it (so no curved stuff or similarly unusual form-factors); - SD slot, duh; - Potential way to switch the battery when the current one gives out; - 1080p or perhaps 1440p screen; - An OK camera (basically as long as it's better than the S5 - i'd be happy); - Fingerprint sensor; - Gorilla Glass 4 or better; Not even considering the latest phones, I will not pay more than $300 for a phone, even used quality if ay-okay.

I have .WAV files of my In Utero discs, and they show all of the metadata with the track number, the artist, the album, etc. When I put them on my SD card for my Galaxy S5, it no longer shows that information. If I take one of those files and copy it back to my computer, the information is back again. What is the issue? Is it because the card is formatted in exFAT?

Okay, so I just started mining Etherum, mostly for fun but I find the world interesting. So Im in the Cryptocurrency forum on facebook, while browsing through the forum i came across this link. https://interestingengineering.com/samsung-builds-bitcoin-mining-rig-using-40-old-galaxy-s5s I tried to find some more in depth article about it, but the only thing that i found was this,I was hoping to find an article with some specs, hashrate etc.. But since its samsung I doubt that gonna happen any time soon. https://news.bitcoin.com/samsung-builds-bitcoin-mining-rig-using-old-phones/ I really think this is a great thing that Samsung did, the cost of a bitcoin miner is really expesnvie where i live(Norway), but everyone here has like 1-3 old cellphones laying around collecting dust. So this can finally mminimize Ewaste, and make Bitcoin mining more accesible for the everyday guy. Cryptocurrency has come to saty i believe, and it has until now been somewaht limited to specfic group of people. If i go around in oslo asking people waht bitcoin is, Im sure 7 out of 10 wont know what t is. Only thing is that I hope this is something that every cellphone manufacuterer will implement. Waht is your thoughts around this?

Okay, Hello everyone. Recently I've flashed a custom rom (this one) on my Galaxy S5 (G900F). Everything works fine (except swiftkey for some reason), but when i try to make a phone call it just ends it and then its like nothing happened. You can see from the video what happens with in the status bar. I've tried wiping cache, I checked the block list, I've tried downloading another app from calls/messaging, I've tried another dial app and it doesnt help. Messages work fine tho, and it seems im the only one with this problem. I wish it would get resolved as i really like this one and dont find CM or Lineage as nice Little bit of an earrape at the end so turn your volume down

Hey all, I've been using my Samsung S5 for about a year now without any issues, when suddently my phone starts having charging issues: It can only charge off of a single cable properly (which is bizzare for me), the cable isn't in the best condition either, it's end is worn out. Phone always appear to be charging extremely slow(displays USB charging even though it's connected straight to the wall plug) Sometimes out of nowhere the charge disconnects and reconnects again, which drains battery So long story short this has been happening for about 2 weeks now and it's getting frustrating. So here's what I'm interested in: 1) What could be causing it? 2)Is there any soliution I can try myself without wipping all the data on the phone? 3)If I understand correctly the problem could be with the daughterboard (or whatever it's called) how much does a replacement cost?

Hi everyone, I know practically nothing about audio and i got my rig a few months ago, please deal with my silly request Been surviving with the Creative A60 speakers this months but i got the Kratos S5 a couple days ago wow, what a difference! so much better. I was thinking about grabbing the sound blaster x ae-5 but heres the question: 1) worth it ? I mean, is it really gonna improve anything substancially, after i got the speakers already ? 2) Kratos S5 connect to the pc via USB - if i buy a sound card, shouldnt i connect the speakers TO the sound card and not usb ? If i buy a graphics card, i would connect the vga/hdmi cable to the sound card, so if i buy a sound card, shouln't i connect it the cable to the sound card ? If so, its usb - HOW ? Thank you!

As you all know, New Years just happened and I was celebrating with my family. I also currently have a Samsung Galaxy S5 (Original). Once it turned midnight, I go on my phone to check if it was actually midnight, but it turns out that my decided to glitch out and say "An error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device.". It also asks me for my password as that could also get into my phone, and I though that it would only happen once. 30 minutes later, and it's still happening, I thought it was a minor bug and it would fix it's self. 8 hours later (The time I'm posting this), it's still not working. Maybe I will try restarting. Welp, it finally works, anyone have any idea why it does this? The S5 isn't a potato phone.

hey mine phone do crazy things. when has 2% battery and i do reboot phone booting up i see homescreen back button not work freeze, screen freeze and reboot again i see logo samsung s5, and reboot and black screen, when i put in charger i see 1% or 0%. and when my battery getting low than 1% and shutting down sometimes correct when i see shutting down animation and vibrate when power off, sometimes just goes off no vibration when power off no shutting down animation. or sometimes happens when phones goes to 1% and phone reboot reboot reboot samsung galaxy s5 screen i see and battery dead looks like not have power , sometimes phone battery charged itself when its power off, or 0% left when shutting down. when shutting down with 0% in 7minutes without usage phone the phone battery charged itself 3%. but no see charger screen i dont plug in to the charger . now when power off with 0% i turned on about after 10hour i see 5% and still same issue like 2% when rebooted it goes to samsung s5 screen and turned off when i put the charger i see 2% not 1 or 0% . so why happened in 5% which never happened before just happens when i reboot device on 2%. but now i dont reboot phone in 5% i just turned on after 10 hours ,before phone was 0% completely discharged, so 5% per 7hours charged itself when power off i dont plug charger.

My motherboard allow pcie to wake the computer but not the Lan port. So I had a TP-Link nic but that seemed to stop working with the WOL (I am using TeamViewer). I bought an intel nic (the EXI9301CTBLK) and the green light blinks indicating it is seeing a connection. It will wake up from sleep mode just fine, however it will not wake from a full shutdown.(S5). What am I doing wrong? I am using NO-IP with a domain, I have the ports done correctly, it just refuses to work after it did for at least four months. Can anyone lend me a hand on this?

OK so long story short, I want a standing -holds my phone so i can see it- Qi Wireless charger for my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Yes, it has a replacement back cover for charging over Qi) I have a flat lay down one from Powerbot that cost me 8$ and it suits me fine. Fast charging would be nice, but isnt completely needed, 1.5A is fine for me. It will be sitting on my black glass/wood/aluminium desk, it needs to hold my phone, preferably connect to micro USB but I can handle proprietary cables. I want it cheap. Real cheap. 15$ USD or lower. I understand if that's a hard price to hit. But, my Flat charger was half that price , and really what makes a standing one special, a piece of plastic? https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Charge-Wireless-Charging-Stand/dp/B01BMDQ9U8/ref=sr_1_12?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1472413796&sr=1-12&keywords=qi Something like that but, not, that pricey.

Hi there, first off I was not sure where to put this so I left it here, hopefully its in the right area. So I have been having odd problems here and there with Windows 10 for a while and I haven't been able to fix them. Things like not being able to connect an Xbox One controller to the PC or stream movies to the Xbox itself. But now I need to access files on my mobile phone and I'm getting an error in the devices properties that reads: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) I have tried talking to Microsoft who could not fix the issue and offered me advanced technical support for a price. I told them that I'm not paying so hopefully someone else on this forum has had this issue and can help me. I have tried reinstalling the driver, USB drivers and what have you but it still has the same issue.

Soooo, managed to make my main computer wake up by a magic packet sent through Teamviewer, which is really neat... But moments after shutting down and getting ready to leave my house... The thing started up on its own. My setup consists of two computers of which one runs 24/7 as a server, and has Teamviewer on it, the other is my gaming rig which also has Teamviewer, now I want to be able to wake it up and I figured it would be much more fool-proof to make the server send an internal magic packet if I want to wake up the gaming rig. I'm pretty sure I set everything so that my gaming computer should only accept an exact magic packet from only the server, but for some reason it starts up on its own which I do not want since the thing chucks 150-ish Watts easily when running idle... I read that this is an issue that plagues many but does someone have a clue why it still wakes up even though it shouldn't, may it be accepting other things than a magic packet, is the server sending magic packets even though I didn't tell it to? The network chip to receive the wake up call is an Intel I219V by the way. Sadly I'm not home at the moment and the computer is not running (had to disable S5 wake up to make it stop booting), but once I am I'll post my current settings.

Hello guys, I'll start by saying my apologies already. I'm completely new to audio hardware and I want to learn more. I've read articles about dac and amps before but I still can't wrap my head around them. Basically, I'm at the point of wanting to hear much better quality music but what is better quality? I can tell the difference in the sound signature between the m6p from ME electronics and sennheiser urbanite xl that I both own. I know that m6p have more of a boomy sound but not as clear as urbanites. I can tell the difference in the clearness between my pc (asus rog hero vi mobo) and my s5 galaxy as drivers, pc being brighter sound but have background noise when not playing anything. Is it worth for me to go and buy a dac/amp at this point? I apologize again if none of these info help but I just want to enjoy my music more, just like everyone here, I hope.

I hope someone can help. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that I have been using since June 2014. My pics are defaulted to save to my SD card and up until recently everything has been fine. However, recently about a week or two now when I take a pic some of the pics corrupt on the SD card. When I try to open the pic from the within the camera or in the Gallery I will see a black and grey icon or I can see the pic but up to about 75% of the pic is grayed out like it's being censored or something. I am using the default camera that comes with the phone. Can anyone help me?

I'm sorry, if this is a re-post or copy of similar thread but is a serious issue for me as of recent. I have the Samsung S5 from AT&T, It had Android 4.4.2. I have had it since October and it has been an excellent phone for me. Recently tho my battery will be down 50% after two hours of taking it off the charger. The usage meter says that my Android OS is taking up 50% of my battery. If anyone knows of anything to help me or has an idea let me now! Thanks and as always Cheers!
