Hello, I am looking for a recommendation for which case I should use for my PC build. I'm torn between the Corsair 460X RGB, NZXT S340 Elite, or Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV TG. I'm leaning more towards the EVOLV or 460X. What do you think would be better? Here is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/F8QNWX Thanks!

Why (Yssssssss) It was black n white because i like it and my friend loves it so just like the last h440 bam bam bam The case was perfect just we needed a lil more black to fit our tastes. Love the CF texture and the biggest reason for using carbon fiber is that spray cans here really really suck so CF FTW. What are the future plans for this case White pastel fluid ( I think that explains most of it) Rest is even unknown to me atm Lets get started And i love the scent of new stuff. The moment a new box is opened u know the scent of shopper, cardboard even those thermopol safety foam smell smell’s good. Also love to open new stuff boxes ( Being honest i love even opening used stuff parcels too ). And i m really curious about the accessories that are given, those small boxes are fun too. BTW the above lines dont belong to Lets get started I will keep silent for the rest of the thread. But your input will always be welcomed. And your ideas matter too ( Dont look here and there i am talking to you reader ! ) Also i reply to pretty much every comment so dont hesitate if you have a question regarding any of the stuff done Heres a youtube video link showing some of the work done and all above pics too.

Hi, I have been looking to buy a mid/mini tower but find that everyone has a flaw and it is really hard to choose! I like the NZXT S340 Elite and the fractal design core 1100 <-- though the core 1100 is old the size is perfect but then it comes with a hole loot of down sides! I was thinking of modding in a window for it and removing the hard drive mounting thing and velcrowing my ssd in a good spot though it will be annoying with cable management. The S340 Elite is also an excellent case but I hate power supply shrouds and if any of you own it could you check in your case if i mod it away will the case all of sudden be very unsteady? I am looking for a on the smaller size mid tower or mini tower though slightly bigger mid tower would also work I am wondering if you guy have any good suggestions. Also does anyone know of a company that manufacture (professionally make ) custom cases regardless the price I would like to know if there are any! Kind regards Sami

Hi. Just a really quick question; Any chance I can fit the NZXT S340 Elite's tempered glass side panel onto the Fractal Design Define C or Define Mini C? I'm looking to maybe replace both side panels by switching them. Any help is appreciated. Cheers!

Hi all I'm planning a build in an s340 elite (white) I'm confident on all my part choices but I know nothing about case fans, I have around £25 to spend on fans but I could push it a little higher if there was a major improvement in fan quality, the build is going to have a black and white colour scheme so anything that matches that would be great. I would also like to keep the fan noise below 30db at load. if anyone can help then that would be great

So I decided to go with the NZXT S340 Elite, I did not know Asus had an inexpensive B250 mainboard in their ROG STRIX lineup. I could save 10€ on single channel ram configuration, 24€ on EKL Alpenföhn fans and 10€ going with the Cooler Master Hyper 212X, but it is not a matter of waiting for another paycheck for me. I don't have huge requirements like 4k or 144hz gaming and the money spent on that goes into buying long-lasting components from reputable brands for me. So what do you think guys? Should I consider the i5-6500 and 1060 6GB maybe? Should I buy a PCIe soundcard for Sony MDR-XB950APs? We'll see how long my 450's will last me.

Hi LTT community. I'm looking into getting a new case for my kinda tacky red and black h440 since my setup literally has not black or red and want to know your advice. Should I spend the extra hundred $ on the new h700i so I can stay up to date, or is the s340 elite sufficient?

Unsure which case to go for. I'd like to hear some opinions. Thanks

Hi, I'm looking at the NZXT S340 Elite as the case for my new build, and have been looking at reviews online for specific details other than, "It's good." One that I found (I can't remember where it was) said that the thermals in the case aren't that great because on the front panel, the only vents for air are on the top and bottom. This means that the bottom and top intake fans get the most airflow, but that isn't that necessary, because the bottom fan just blows into the PSU shroud, and the top fan blows air past the CPU, which already has it's own dedicated cooler attached. This causes the middle fan, to not receive nearly as much airflow for the middle of the case, to cool the GPU. So my question is, are there any people here who personally use the S340 Elite, with air cooling that could give me an idea of how the thermals are in the case from their experiences with it? Thanks for the help!

1. Budget & Location - $3500 AUD, Probably bought the majority from mwave (have good experience with them and return policy) 2. Mostly editing 10-12 minutes video 720p - 1080p HD. (1st priority) Gaming - GTA V, Raid of the tomb raiders, Dragon Age Inquisitions, medium - high spec on Shadow of mordor in the future. Monitors - Only planning to run 1 monitor at the moment, no clue about the future. 4. Peripherals - None, but recommendations is welcome. Looking for gaming mouse like these - http://amzn.to/2wsYeQ8 where there is a curve on the left side, I found those types of mouse to be very comfortable for my right hand during gaming. 5. Why are you upgrading? - 10 years Old pc can't cope with work (editing and rendering videos took way too long) Major Concerns 1. Would this build work? will there be any compatible issues? Plug and Play? 2. Do I need a stronger Air Cooler with this build or is there a better model suited in this build? (I know liquid cooling often times are better, but the maintenance put me off, so I'll be a noob and stay with air cooling ^_^). 3. Is the Ram I specified above compatible with the Ryzen 7 1800x and Taichi Mobo? Plug and play style (Feel free to recommend alternatives 32 gb ddr4 ram). 4. Is the HDD storage appropriate for my needs or is it too slow? This is where I'm storing the majority of my data, moving to SSD for editing - then move back to HDD for final storage. Should I invest in the 7200rpm pro 128mb or 256 mb or is this fine? (Feel free to recommend). On estimate I need at least 6TB for 3-5 years, planning to add more in the future if required. 5. Is 2 cooling fans enough for this buy ? or I would need 3? I'm Planning to keep this Pc for around 3-5 years as an editing pc and some casual gaming.

Hello my friends, So I actually have a few things to clear up in this post, one of them is since I've been doing some more "research" concerning computer parts, I stumbled upon water cooling. Now to me it seems like a really reliable way to cool the cpu, but for a higher price. Now I do want to put together a budget build, and I'm not exactly sure if I should use water cooling since I am a beginner, but an AIO water cooler does seem quite easy to put together. But I just want some other advice. The second thing is that, in the S340 Elite case, the radiator support is front 2 x 140 mm or 2 x 120 mm. But I'm wondering if I a 280 mm or 240 mm radiator can be installed in the case. Adios Amigos, A Silly Goose

I'm planning to build a pc and im wondering if it would be better to get a Zotac 1080 ti AMP! Edition (not the extreme) or a Founders Edition for future custom watercooled capability. I want to buy the new EKWB aluminium kit, the A240G, and that kit do not support the Zotac card. The build is: i7 7700k (Hyper 212x, and planning to watercool in the future) Asus Strix Z270e or MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon Trident Z RGB 16gb (2x8) 3200mhz NZXT S340 Elite Corsair CS750M The reason I'm asking is because the watercool project is going to take a long time because of budged reasons I can't buy the EKWB kit right now. And I want to overclock both the CPU and the Graphics card, and I want to know if the founders edition would be fine for a time before I buy the kit from EKWB. Also, If you guys could sugest a case with better air flow than the s340 elite, at the same price point and the same I/O (2 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0) that would be great.

Hey guys, I would like to know what you think about those two cases and which one you would choose if you would have to. My graphics card is a Asus GTX 1060 with 31cm length. As far as I know have both cases 37cm (without front fans on front) space for graphics cards. So I would also like to know if you would recommend even another case rather choosing between them if you believe there is too less room for the graphics card. Does anyone have more informations on this cases about cablemanagement? CPU Fan space? Thank you in advance!!

Happy New Year all - new to this board but watching Linus You Tube channel for awhile - great stuff. I currently have a NZXT Noctis 450 case running a Corsair H100i AIO with Push/Pull fan setup and 2x 980Tis in SLI. Recently i've been looking at the S340 elite and just really like the look of it and see the benefits of the VR (hdmi/usb) port locations - but really just think it looks great and a much better size than the Noctis. My question is - can i run a AIO (Kraken X62) for the CPU, and then water cool the 2x GPUs with some other AIO? I'm thinking the only way to do this would be to go Custom Water Cooling which i have never done. I also see that in order to do push pull on the front w/ the 280mm RAD, i'd have to ditch the cable management bar, but seems like the fans would be blocking the cables anyway, so would still look clean. My GTX 980Tis are not the reference design, they are EVGA SC editions - so i think having a push/pool config would be necessary to keep the GPUs cool. Just think if i want to do Water Cooling for BOTH GPUs, there aren't enough rad/fan mounts since if i used top/bottom, now there is no exhaust. Any other ideas? I guess i could could try: X42 for CPU (Front Top) X41/42 w/ G10 For GPU1 (Front Bottom) X41/42 w/ G10 For GPU2 (Rear) 140mm Fan Exhaust (Top) Any thoughts/ideas would be helpful... maybe better call to do a S340 build would be to wait for the 1080Ti and then upgrade to a single GPU vs SLI. Thanks -Colin

Is the Nzxt s340 Elite a good case? I mean I know it's great but I have some questions- Is it made it of good quality steel or its flimsy? Does the white s340 Elite's paint get rubbed off? How is the air flow and cable management? Will it take a good beating of atleast 5 to 6 years? And is it better than the air 740?? THATS IT!?

Here is the finished (for now) build with the new tempered glass s340 matte white and black case. The case looks gorgeous and tempered glass makes everything really pop. Used TF 120 Deep Cool white LED Fans and the DEEPCOOL Gamer Storm CAPTAIN 120EX WHITE CPU Liquid Cooler along with white LED magnetic lighting. Going to get some custom Vinyl covers for the SSD and glass along with some Imperial themed fan covers as well. Eventually will add white LED DDR4 ram, and 2 more SSD's with vinyl decals as well but for now can't argue with the results. So I posted this in my build log but I wanted to just gush about this case. I have tested a few tempered glass cases, and this thing is by the far the best of the bunch. Its the very very popular s340 case, but with tempered glass, fractal intake on the front, and a very nice layout inside. I hadn't seen much in the way of posting on this so I thought I would just share my experience. If your debating doing acrylic or plastic windows vs tempered glass, do tempered glass. The results are so good. I realize the all black version of this came out a few weeks ago, but I had pre-ordered the black and white version for a Imperial Empire inspired build I am doing. Seriously can't say enough good about the case.

Hello everyone, So I've recently purchased a MSI Gaming Trio (non X version) RTX 2080 graphics card. But in gaming loads my graphics card get significantly hotter than I've seen on any of the reviews (80+ degrees) (also the reviews were for the Gaming X Trio RTX 2080 not the non x, (as those were the only ones I could find) I couldn't find any difference between them except a little downclock from the X version). So I've tried alot of things. (As I've previously posted about this) I've tried removing the front panel, side panel, and dust filter but these all had little effects of about -3 degrees celsius. (I'm using the S340 Elite with two corsair LL120 intake fans) Naturally I've also tried settings the fans on my graphics card to 100% yet it still ranges from 78-82 degrees. Is my graphics card faulty is the question I'm asking, or could it be that the MSI GAMING Trio non X (the one I have) has a cut down cooling solution? As my card is just two weeks old should I try and return it and get something like a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC or a ASUS ROG Strix 2070 (I don't really need the added performance from a RTX 2080) ?
