Hi, I'm new to this forum but I'll try be as concise as possible. I have purchased a new PC, and it has been working fine for some weeks now. Today I saw that the PC started by itself and then shut down (within 6 seconds) and no display were shown. To my surprise it kept doing this until I turned the PSU switch to off. I have researched through Google but with no luck. Here is what I have tried: Checking the PSU cables - They seem fine and the fans and LEDs work, but just for some seconds before it shuts down . Checking the CPU for broken pins or other issues - The CPU seems to be fine. Removed the GPU - Same outcome Removed some RAM slots and exchanging where they sit - No success also Checking the motherboard's cables to see if they are loose or not connected - No success Also I have noted that there is a Yellow light in the motherboard, but this light I remember has been present since the beginning. Here are the specs: Micro-ATX MSI B450M PRO-VDH Max AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Octa-Core, 3.70 GHz Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB HDMI / DUAL DP (UEFI) Full G.SKILL Aegis 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3000MHz CL16 SSD M.2 2280 Western Digital Blue SN500 500GB 3D NAND NVMe What can I do ? Do any of you guys have had this problem ? Please bare in mind I'm still a beginner (even though I can understand most things) and also I do not have any tools for disassembling the PC other than the common tools in the house hold (for example I do not have termal paste, special tools, etc.) Thanks for any guidance,

Hello! By the tittle you already know what i'm about to ask. My thing is, the 2700X is 190€ and the 3700X is 330€ - more 140€. Is it worth it? I'm updating my build, I have and will have: Nvidia 1060gtx 6gb 16gb ram Micro-atx MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max Corsair 600 (power supply) The cooler will be the cpu one for a while. I'm a 3D modeler, my build is meant to be more of a workstation (priority), but I play a lot too. Now, is the Ryzen 7 3700x much better than the 2700x that is worth 140€ more? If you need more info to decide let me know. Also, thanks in advance for the help :D

Hi, I finished building my new PC on Saturday and it was working fine all weekend (windows installed, GTA V running smoothly) until last night when I realised I hadn't connected the RBG lights correctly. I opened the case to plug the light strip into the motherboard and now when I try to boot up the CPU debug light is has come on and theres no video output at all from the machine. I tried unplugging the RBG lights but still have the same issue. Here is everything I've tried: - Updating the motherboard bios - Resetting the CPU multiple times - Changing the CPU cooler to the stock cooler - Unplugging and plugging all the power cables back into the motherboard - Cleaning and re-applying the thermal paste - Clearing the CMOS - Booting with only 1 stick of RAM Specs are: Ryzen 7 2700X Msi tomahawk b450 max 16 gb crucial ddr4 ram RTX 2070 Super 1TB WD m2 ssd 1TB WD hdd Cooler master master liquid 240L rbg cooler NZXT h510 case Any help is really appreciated

Current specs: Cpu : Ryzen 7 2700x GPU : GeForce GTX 1660 VENTUS XS 6G OC PSU : Cooler Master 600W 230V with 80+ MotherBoard : MSI B450M PRO-VDH PLUS im thinking to upgrade my GPU to RTX 2070 , and i dont know if my Power Supply could handle the electricity ,Because i got like 4 RGB Fan , 2 Normal Fan , around 90 RGB LED, and a fan controller and also im not sure if my Motherboard is compatible with RTX , What should i do Guys , help me

So I’m going to be ordering all my first pc parts near Thanksgiving, and I’m just wondering about how much my total build will cost by then. On Amazon, the Ryzen 7 2700x was $200, but now it’s shot up by $50. And the thing I want to know is if it’ll change even more in the future. Will it go up again? Lower back down to $200 or more? I’m not sure about it. If Ryzen releases a new chip by then, will it drastically decrease in price? I’m really hoping it does since I was just barely below my budget when I had the chip in my cart at $200. TL;DR, Ryzen processor prices seem to be fluctuating quite a bit at the moment. If Ryzen releases a new chip by around Thanksgiving, how will it impact their previous chips prices? Specifically the Ryzen 7 2700x which shot up $50 recently on Amazon.

I am a kind of a newbie, trying to build my first rig, I am little short of some bucks, I am planning to buy a R7-2700x coupled with a Asus Pro x470 Motherboard. I got to know that we need a discrete external graphics card in-order to fire-up display as we dont get integrated graphics with R7-2700x. Would like to upgrade it with Galax RTX 2060 at a later point of time. As of now can I use a GT 710 GPU, my pocket can only afford it as of now. My question is : With this config R7-2700x, Asus x470 Pro, and GT 710, Can I get a 1080p resolution provided I have a FHD screen. (Not for gaming purpose). Please help. Thanks in advance. Kinda newbie correct me if there something dumb with my question ??

Hello I've just built a PC for myself with a Ryzen 7 2700x and MSI GAMING PRO CARBON AC motherboard using a Gigabyte Gaming GTX 1660super oc 6GB GPU and 16GB of ddr4 ram Will my GPU bottleneck my CPU for gaming and streaming??

(PC Specs Below) A couple days ago I purchased a Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 Ti 11GB in order to have better game performance. I upgraded from an EVGA GTX 1060 3GB. However, after I installed the new GPU, I found my games to be running at speeds that were slower than I expected. There was a small improvement compared to when the 1060 was installed, but it was not nearly what a Ryzen 7 + 2080 Ti combo should run at. I tried overclocking both my CPU and GPU, only to receive a boost of only about 5 FPS max in multiple games. I have tried running a few games set at the highest settings, then comparing performance to the same game run on lowest settings, and there was again only about a 5-7 FPS difference (Avg. frames in GTA V - 70FPS on lowest settings, 60 on maxed settings; Escape From Tarkov - 75 fps on lowest, 65 on maxed. Frames often drop below 60 in both games). I'm not 100% sure what's wrong or what would be causing this to happen. The only hint I have is that when I purchased my RAM, it came preset at a clock speed of 2133 MHz. When I tried to overclock/change the frequency to the advertised speed of the RAM, my PC would not boot, and I could only get into the BIOS. I am only able to get my PC to boot when overclocking my RAM to 2400 MHz or under. I'm pretty new to overclocking, I've only watched a video or two on CPU overclocking. The video I watched also briefly described how to overclock RAM along with CPU, so I'm not sure if I'm just doing something wrong. I might not be giving my RAM enough power when clocking it to 3000 MHz, I'm not sure. I need to do more research on that. However, I'm not even sure if the RAM is the reason my PC is underperforming. My friend with an i9 9900k and a GTX 1070 was able to get better performance in Escape From Tarkov (a difficult-to-run game) than me, despite having a CPU with pretty similar specs and a worse GPU. So I don't really understand what's happening. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? Any suggestions are welcome. TL;DR: Bought a 2080 Ti, have a very decent CPU, 32GB of RAM, yet games are not performing as well as they should. :/ Specs: CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700x overclocked to 4.1 MHz (cooled with Noctua NH-D15 Single Fan) GPU - Asus ROG Strix Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti 11GB Vram (overclocked +191 MHz) RAM - TridentZ DDR4 3000MHz 32GB (4 x 8GB) (each pair of 8GB sticks purchased at different times) Motherboard - Asus ROG Strix B350-F GAMING PSU - Corsair RMx Series RM750X 750W

What is a good ram speed for ryzen 7 2700x?

So I got a new 2700X from the Black Friday sale. Now am looking for a motherboard. I am currently opting to buy a good B450 motherboard as I will not be overclocking the CPU (will just let PBO and XFR2 work). I'll be using it for streaming and mostly for gaming. I was looking around the $100-$120 range. And also, are motherboard VRM's important? as I will not be overclocking my CPU.

I'm really excited to show off my first ever build! It has been my dream ever since I started watching LTT videos and finally in this Lockdown I had the opportunity to set this up. Please bear with me for this long post. Location: India (Currency: INR) Parts: 1. Processor: Ryzen 7 2700X - Rs. 18,000 (~230USD) 2. Motherboard: Asrock B450M Pro4-F Micro ATX - Rs. 6,600 (~86.69USD) 3. Memory: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 - 16GB Dual Channel (8+8) 2400MHz - Rs. 6,300 (~83USD) 4. Graphics: AMD Radeon RX580 8GB GDDR5 - Rs. 16,250 (~214USD) 5. Storage: WD Green 120GB SATA SSD - Rs. 2,000 (~27USD) (Went low on Storage as prices were jacked up because of low supply) 6. Case: Argus E1 Case with 1 fan included - Rs. 2,500 (~32USD) 7. PSU: CoolerMaster 450W Overall price after discount - Rs. 52,000 (~690USD) (Bundle deal I got from a local re-seller) Build Process: The build took fair bit of time due to my other engagements at work. I went with my memory on how to build a PC from all the videos I have watched, which to be completely honest, failed terribly. So I fired up some LLT video, especially the First Person PC Build (POV) video, helped me a lot. I did ran into a lot of issues: 1. Didn't POST. Fans didn't spin, no lights on the Wraith Prism cooler, no display. - Turns out I had put the front panel connectors wrong. 2. Put all connections correctly, still no display. Got 4 beeps the first time, then in the next boot, 5 beeps. Searched the whole net, freaked out since all the sites showed that the Processor needed to be replaced. Removed and connected the GPU again, and it worked! Booted into the Asrock UEFI utility, all RAMs and storage showing up! (ngl, best moment of my life). So finally into Windows 10, downloaded few games to test. And I should say I'm not really satisfied. (There must be something I'm doing wrong). Also, a thing I forgot to mention, my display is a 40inch FHD TV (59Hz) GTA V: Average to below Average performance. 1080p, all high settings. Radeon Adrenaline software says average was 30fps 1. Update: Ran GTA V again with updated drivers and latest Windows, and it's great! I'm averaging around 60fps now! 2. CS GO: Pretty good. Average of 50fps (vsync on) 3. Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Didn't even run for some reason. Screen goes blank, and I have to restart. Turns out it was the driver issue here too. This gave me an average of 47fps with Very High settings (1080p) 4. Need for Speed Heat: This game was remarkable. With the vsync off, Adrenaline s/w showed an fps of 218! CPU Temp was around 50-60 Celsius. That's about it. I will need few suggestions from you guys: 1. Good benchmarking software (preferably free) 2. Good way to cool down the system. (My uncle is giving me 5 DeepCool Fans, and I am not willing to invest in any AIO as of now) 3. Any other suggestions and must-have software to increase efficiency and overall performance. Hi I would like to get a second opinion on my first build. Ready to buy all the parts. I need it for gaming and light music editing/recording (Logic Pro, Pro Tools). Location is Europe. My budget is about 1000€. Prices include delivery! CPU - Ryzen 7 2700x 175€ MB - MSI B450M MORTAR MAX 101€ GPU - Asus TUF Gaming GeForce GTX 1660 super oc 6Gb 252€ Memory - G. skill Flare X 3200MHz 16Gb (Kit of 2) 66€ PSU - EVGA PSU EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G3 550W, 80 PLUS Gold, Full modular 84€ OS - WIN 10 HOME 64B/ENG 106€ I’m gonna get a cheap and ugly case. Not spending more than 50€ on it. So i have about 150-190€ left for monitor and keyboard. I don’t care about RGB or top tier graphics. I’m currently playing on 5 years old laptop. So i would just like to have stuff running faster than 15 fps, lol. And that i wouldn’t need to worry about upgrading any parts in next couple of years. I already have a 250Gb M.2 SSD. Planning to buy an additional drive in future. Is the stock cooler enough for this particular CPU? I’m not going to overclock it. Feel free to let me know if i should change any parts or if this pc is gonna work at all. I have never built a pc.
