  1. I am running a PC with Ryzen5 3600, G.Skill Trident Z Royal 3600MHz 2x8 on a msi B450 Tomahawk Max. From the start, even after enabling XMP the RAM speed was capped at 2133 MHz. I had to manually set the speed at 3600 from bios. Just recently I bought a set of 3 case fans (1stplayer firebase G3). It is powered directly by the PSU via molex. The problem is after installing the fans when I powered on the pc it powered on and off a few times and then showed a warning saying "Memory overclocking unsuccessfully" and sets the RAM speed back to 2133. For PSU I am using the Cooler Master MWE Gold 650W so I don't think it's a power issue. can anyone help
  2. I actually just wanted to adjust some fan settings, but then I noticed the cpu frequency is greyed out at 3600... and to my surprise I can't seem to be able to change it at all... I remember that used to work on my old BIOS, but I also remember it was kinda tricky to actually change anything there too... I definitely overclocked my old 2200G with this board though, but that was on the old BIOS which looked quite different. Is it possible it's just locked in this BIOS? Then I remembered maybe setting an 'off set' would be better anyways, but that's locked too, seemingly? Although I really have a feeling there's a trick to this on this board... also normal or advanced doesn't seem to make any difference either, the settings I'd like to change are all locked lol. "+/-" ok, that doesn't tell me anything either and I still can't change any clocks or offsets, it's all locked... Any ideas? PS: can't really see it on these pics, but the "3600" is greyed out, and I can't change any settings that don't have [ ] around them.
  3. Budget (including currency): 100 euro Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): i have a 6 year old 1000 watt cooler master should i replace this one to be safe or should i buy a new psu ?? en how much watt would you recommend ? this is my first build so i'm new to the whole thing. thank you for you advice in advance.
  4. Im not sure where to post this, so I had posted it in Graphics Cards and CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory topics. First the specs: Windows version: Windows 10 Home x64 version: 20H2 Install date: 2021-04-16 OS build: 19042.985 Experience (?): Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0 MOBO: ASRock B450 Steel Legend CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor @ 3.59 GHz RAM: 16 GB G.skill ripjaw @ 3200 MHz (16-18-18-38) running @ 3066 MHz (stable with ASUS GeForce GTX 970) (also Dual channel memory at slot A1 and B1) CPU cooler: Noctua DH-12 with AM4 brackets BIOS UEFI version: ASRock B450 Steel Legend P2.40 SSD sata with windows: Crucial something with 240 GB (cant remember the name) Two 1 TB SSD sata: Crucial MX1000 M.2 SSD sata: Crucial MX500 HDD: WD red 2TB All SSD's have partitions (cut around 5-10% from the diskspace for faulty sectors etc) GPU: now its a ASUS GeForce GTX 970 but the card im having problems with is a Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC PSU: Seasonic M12II Evo 750W I had installed the drivers on the SSD where windows is installed. Am I missing something? Anyway, the things I've tried: RMA'd the Gigabyte GPU, they had tested it for multiple hours and no problems. Tested the GPU with a friends PC and his system is allot older than my setup and lesser PSU capacity. (650 think it is, but OS is also win10 x64 home) Two seperated PSU cables. Older drivers. From last year, it freezes/BSOD/green screens/reinstalled windows. but with win10-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-2019-edition-19.8.1-aug12 it gives BSOD. (I'll type it later) Another friend of mine has the same setup and no problems. (he came up with lowering RAM speed to 3066 MHz which became stable with the nvidia card) DDU it offcourse in safe mode. Updating GPU driver via windows without internet and searching it on the computer. win10-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-2019-edition-19.8.1-aug12 it gives BSOD, after running cyberpunk 2077 to see if the videocard was able to run it, because with the friend of mine we tested DOOM eternal and there were no problems. Ive ran some other games, no problems. After rebooting it gives a BSOD or not booting, or checking the windows SSD files.... Ive searched for pretty much everything on the web, untill I crossed the Linus Tech Tips forum and hoping for an answere If there is anything that I'm missing any info just tell me what I've forgot. 5. I recently decided that building a whole new rig would be more fun and future proof than trying to upgrade my 12yo. tower. I went with: ASrock x570 pro4 Ryzen 5 3600 Corsair Vengence LPX 3200 Sdram 16gb(2x8gb) after trying and failing to post with Corsair Vengence RGB 3200 Dram 16gb (2x8gb) MSI Radeon RX 580 WD 500gb Nvme m.2 SSD and a EVGA 650w Psu After assembling everything in the Deepcool Matrexx 50 ADD-RGB 4f case and attempting the first boot, the CPU and DRAM PSC LEDs stay on and solid, I attempted reseating the ram to make sure I didn't accidentally leave either end of them not pressed in all the way and the same LED's still stay on, its cycled through probably 20 or 30 attempts with 0 post. there are no beeps or anything else coming from the board. The Corsair vengeance RGB ram was the first i tried as it was suggested by newegg while i was adding the MB and CPU to the cart, when it didnt work i RMA'd it and ordered the LPX which on newegg says "Recommend Use: AMD & Intel Compatible / AMD Ryzen Compatible / Intel Compatible" but it is now doing the same thing. I've tried jumping the Cmos posts and retrying to boot with no avail. I'm not sure what else to try now other than ordering G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 which is on both Ryzen and Asrock's QVL's but also listed as O.C. for the MB
  6. Hello. So I'm finalizing my build so that I can buy parts after lockdown but I'm not really a computer nerd nor do I know something about CPU specs and stuff. Which CPU is better? What am I going to do with the build anyway? Mostly gaming. Sometimes I use CAD for my work.
  7. I've been running a Ryzen 5 3600 with the stock cooler for about a month and noticed stutters in some CPU-intensive parts of games, most notably Borderlands 3 (though I know that game has issues). I checked my temps for the first time the other day and saw that, while idle, I was getting between 65-70C. I ran stress tests and it seems to be thermal throttling under load (temp reaches 90 and clock decreases). I tried re-installing my cooler with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste (I was using the stock paste before) but it hasn't made a difference. I even tried disabling PBO in the BIOS but no change. My BIOS, Chipset Driver and Windows are all up to date. From what I can tell these temps aren't normal, even for the stock cooler, and it's hurting my PC's performance. I'm waiting for the Arctic Freezer ii 280 to come back into stock, but until then has anyone got ideas to lower my temps?
  8. I built my pc in 2018 and since it was my first computer i had less knowledge on parts compatibility for future upgrades. My build was i5 8400, B360 pro vdh, gtx 1060ti with 400 watt psu and 2400mhz ddr4 memory. My case wasnt efficient in cooling. in 2019 i upgraded my gpu to rtx 2060 super and i had to upgrade my psu along with it. Later i upgraded my case due to heating problems. recently i discovered that if i had to upgrade my cpu and mobo. I need to upgrade my ram because currently im using ddr4 2400mhz. and the next gen intel cpus require atleast 2666mhz memory and ryzen will need upto 3200mhz. Are 2400mhz not good in 2020 ? How should i plan for my cpu upgrade ?
  9. Just to start, I now realize I have already made a pretty major mistake by not flashing my bios before installing the new cpu, but alas I'm already far past that point. My computer used to have a Ryzen 5 1400, and this morning my new cpu arrived so I immediately powered off the pc and threw it in. Since then, my pc has not managed to POST. I have tried resetting the CMOS, both by removing the battery and using the mobo header. I have tried to remove different parts of my PC to get it to POST, to no avail (e.g. one stick of ram in every dimm slot, removing all drives, removing all extension cards, usb drives, etc.) I have replaced the 1400 with its original heatsink (the one I've been using for the last few years) in the PC, and tried different hardware configs. Nothing I have tried can get the PC to POST. Setup: Ryzen 5 1400 / Ryzen 5 3600 Asrock AB350 Pro4 Mobo 2x4GB 3200 DDDR4 Asus Radeon RX480 4GB Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD WD Blue 5400rpm 1TB HDD Corsair CX450M PSU TP-Link wifi card
  10. Budget (including currency): $950 Country: Philippines Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: csgo, cod:warzone, Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Existing parts: Rzyen 5 3600 3.6ghz, MSI B350 Tomahawk, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 2x8gb 3000mhz CL15, Gigabyte Radeon Rx570. Please help thank you!
  11. I'm trying for the first time to do a build with Ryzen 5 3600 and am totally unaware of possible bottlenecks and obstacles in upgrades in future. My aim is for a machine that could be upgraded later with better gpu and ram as I save up more money. I hope for it to be able to do gaming on 1080p on titles like Witcher 3 and fallout 4 (and possible future games like that for few years) on details that would not make my eyes bleed and for work in photo editing in adobe PS and Lightroom. I'm trying to stay below 760 euro in Slovakia and this is what I came up with. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/joasisk/saved/#view=kZZPVn Is there anything I should consider or switch? What could be a bottle neck in current config and possible gpu upgrade?
  12. Hello! I recently upgraded my rig to an itx build since I am moving around a lot. I will list my parts below. I tried to keep my Cryorig h7, but don't have the backplate for it and it does not look like it fits. I switched to amd4 cpu and need a compact cooler since space is limited. I have 2 intake fans and one out. I am currently using the stock cooler, but it is maintaining mid 70s and occasionally 80 when playing games. Im currently running it without the clam shell cover to help cool it down... Any help is much appreciated! My build: -mobo: ROG strix b450-i -cpu: ryzen 5 3600 -case: core 500 -gpu: Nvidia FE 2070
  13. so I just upgraded to the ryzen 5 3600 and I have some questions....... but heres my build: asus tuf gaming X570-plus (Wifi) Latest Bios 1405 AMD Ryzen 5 3600 overclocked to 3.95GHz GSkill trident Zneo 3600 (For some reason, they wont higher than 2866) Sabrent rocket 256 gb m.2 nvme ssd 3rd gen 650 watt Corsair semi modular power supply msi radeon r9 390 gaming OC Edition (overclocked further to 1130MHz memory to 1600MHz) I want to know why my ram wont go higher, I tried one step at a time up to 3000MHz and it crashed after about 2.5 min at that, so I put it at 2866MHz, and I have tried overclocking further, but failed, but for some reason I also under the default settings cant get it to boost any further than 4.02GHz. finally, I dont mean to be mean, but the pc also glitches out sometimes for no apparent reason, could this be from my os, or hardware? I also run virtual machines, could this effect anything in the background? This is the first AMD build that I have ever had, so I dont know how to correct or fix them. also its weird for task manager to do this too......... the photo with task manager with the blank for a graph is what started to get my attention first, it started doing this after I did some stuff earlier with vrms, but the one with the graphs is when I opened it for the second time right after the other and showing the clock speed of the cpu. Finally the third showing the ammount and speed of the ram. thanks for your time!!!!!
  14. Hello all! Would like to get your opinion if this build makes any sence for a future proof PC? I don't have any specific use like gaming or work in my mind, just sensible rig I can use next 10 years without upgrading as my previous Intel i7. Link to the build I have good (hopefully) CoolerMaster case and Corsair 850W power supply from my current PC and a bunch of HD/SSD drives. Thanks
  15. Hi, so I've just upgraded from an old Core i5 to a Ryzen 5 3600, along with an ASUS Prime x470 pro motherboard and 16gb of Corsair vengeance RGB 3600MHz memory. Unfortunately it hasn't been smooth sailing for me at all. Installing Windows 10 for the first time went fine, until blue screens of death started popping up whever the PC needed to restart during the installation. I've already updated the BIOS to the most recent version, which didn't help. I then started to look at the RAM by running memtest86 this is where it really got weird. I kept just one 8 gig stick in the A2 slot in my motherboard, and memtest86 counted up to 5000 errors before saying "too many errors" and quitting. I then swapped the stick out for the other stick of memory, and everything stayed green the entire time? No errors at all! The first memory stick I tested probably has a defect, and I should return it right? Is this common? Thanks for any advice.
  16. Hello everyone I have been a long time viewer of LTT videos. I just built my 2nd computer after the 2019 Black Friday sales. I will be listing the exact price I paid for all of my components. Please keep in mind these purchases were 4 months ago and the market has probably shifted a bit since then. I am posting this purely for feedback on how you guys would have approached building this PC. I will also include some of the goals I was targeting when I picked these parts. The first computer I built in 2013 had an FX 8350 which eventually ended up getting paired with 2 GTX 780s running in SLI (hand me down cards from a friend to upgrade from my R9 280x. The system was ridiculously loud but at the time I didn't really care since it was the first real gaming computer I had and the performance was undeniable. Going into building my second computer however I decided to focus a bit more on reducing noise. Since fans increase in speed with temperature it also relates to reducing temperatures through passive cooling. My theory was that if I have to cool with CPU/GPU with either air or liquid, I should use opposite cooling solutions on each. This would prevent exhausting hot air from 1 component into the other. Originally on my 1st computer I had a liquid cooled CPU and air cooled gpus. For those familiar with the FX 8350 and GTX 780 you know they are pretty hot components. The new build is as follows. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 ($185) Cooler: Noctua NHU12S ($60) GPU: Vega 64 liquid cooled ($350 used on ebay) PSU: Seasonic FOCUS GX-850 80+ gold 850w (Reused from previous build but originally cost $110) HD1: 970 evo nvme ($150) HD2: 2tb Seagate barracuda (reused from old computer but cost around $50 originally) Gskill aegis 2x8gb 3200mhz ($53) MB: ASRock X570 PHANTOM GAMING 4 AM4 AMD X570 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard ($120 after rebate) Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-06 RGB CC-9011146-WW Black Steel / Plastic / Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ($60 after rebate) Fans: 2 additional Noctua NF-S12A ($40) PCIE Riser cable ($15) Total cost $1193 Goals: 144hz 1080p, highest performance per dollar, low noise Main questions Is the Vega 64 too slow for the R5 3600? When playing FF15 at 1080p I see my CPU is at around 40% while the GPU is at 100%. I average around 110fps at max settings. (Game caps at 120) Should I have gone with 3600 mhz ram? Is the price to performance worthwhile? Any other comments/criticisms/recommendations are welcome. You are not going to hurt my feelings. Be direct and objective. Please comment on radiator placement, fan layout or anything else that would make cooling more efficient. NOTE I have not manually overclocked the CPU I have only overclocked the GPU by increasing the power limit. I have not changed clock speeds on it yet. The main reason I went with the Vega 64 was to have a liquid cooled GPU so I could use Noctuas air cooler for my CPU (which is very quiet) XMP profile is enabled for the RAM I ended up vertical mounting the GPU as it provided more space between the CPU cooler and GPU shroud. I do not plan on putting in a second GPU so I am not concerned with blocking the other PCIE slot. I am not interested in custom water-cooling solutions. I will overclock in the future when the need comes. For now I am fine with performance for the games I play (SC2, LoL, FF15, PUBG, FF14) I used a stock picture of the case. Please see the newegg link if you need more information on case layout. https://www.newegg.com/black-corsair-carbide-series-spec-06-rgb-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811139132?Item=N82E16811139132 Monitor https://www.newegg.com/black-red-acer-kg241-pbmidpx-um-fx1aa-p01-24/p/N82E16824011245?Item=N82E16824011245 ($155) Also let me know if you think my system would be better off with a different monitor. I am a big fan of 1ms response times and high refresh rates. Not sure if a monitor with better picture quality might pair well as a second monitor when playing less competitive games. When I play SC2 or LoL I am more focused on performance but when I play MMOs or single player games I sometimes wish I had better picture quality. I currently only have 1 monitor.
  17. about 2 days ago I decided to get rid of my 2nd generation Ryzen and I bought a Ryzen 3600 to fill its place, I updated the motherboard bios and installed the CPU, first time starting up took some time but I figured this was normal since I just put in a new CPU, sadly it keeps starting up very slowly. When the PC is booted everything works fine, temps are normal and nothing seems to be wrong. this is what happens when I press the power button : 1: the pc lights up, but the fans ramp up for a second and then calm down. 2: The monitor starts but then says it hasn't got a signal and goes back to sleeping mode. 3: for around 90 seconds this keeps happening about 3 times, with every time an EZ Dbug light showing (Ram, CPU or VGA) 4: finally the pc starts to boot up normally, the monitor receives a signal and no EZ Dbug lights are showing and everything seems to be working fine. my startup times are now around 2 minutes, with a bios time of 22 seconds according to task manager. this used to be around 12 seconds. So my question is what causes it to have such a long startup time? it has to be something with the CPU because that's the only thing that changed, But then I have no idea how it could function normally when it is booted. My systems components: CPU: Ryzen 3600 GPU: Aorus RTX 2080 Xtreme Motherboard: MSI b450m mortar titanium PSU: Corsair CX650 Ram: (2x8GB) Crucial Ballistix Sport Lt 3000Mhz SSD: 256GB Samsung 970 Evo HDD: 1TB WD Blue CPU Cooler: Cooler Master ML240L RGB CASE: Corsair 280x Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  18. Last night I put an AIO in my son's computer so I could overclock it. It is a Ryzen 5 3600 in an MSI B450 motherboard with 16gb of Coarsair 3200 megahertz ram. I started my overclock with voltage in auto and just increased the multiplier slowly. Currently it is at 43 thus running at 429 Megahertz. It is completely stable, I have not yet pushed it to instability. Stress tests are fine, HOWEVER with the voltage at auto it is running 1.42 volts with temps maxing out under the CPU-Z stress test @81°c. At rest temps are hovering between 38°c and 41°c. I have read that the maximum voltage you want to run those chips at is 1.32. However it is stable and not thermal throttling. This said is it safe in this configuration to keep running like this? I have attached before and after runs with CPU-Z. I would like to see if I can push it any further but don't want to toast the chip with high voltage. Once set I plan on overclocking the memory and the graphics card as well.
  19. GPU: 5700 XT Gigabyte Gaming OC CPU: Ryzen 3600 CPU cooler: Scythe Mugen 5 rev.b Motherboard: MSI B450M Mortar Max RAM: Patriot Viper Steel 3600mhz CL17 PSU: Corsair RMx 850 Operating System & Version: Windows 10 64 bit GPU Drivers: Newest drivers as of date. Chipset Drivers: Newest as of date BIOS: Newest as of date Background Applications: Idle, Chrome with 20-30 tabs. PC cooling: 2x140 in front at 1200 rpm when CPU climb at max temps, 2x120 rear and rear-top with 1200 rpm. Case: Meshify C Seriously how to make this CPU *NOT* constantly downclock/upclock, and change the temperature rapidly. Like my old I5 4670 had way better frequency control, power saving, and didn't jump in temperatures constantly. Is there any way to stop that? Any BIOS/software setting? I have sufficient cooling with Mugen 5 rev b and kryonaut, getting max 67-70 degree at furmark CPU/AIDA FPU tests, so cooling is not a problem. I've even repasted CPU with different paste[the one that came with Mugen 5 rev b], saw a temp. increase over kryonaut, but the fluctuations/spikes persisted as before. So this fluctuations completely destroys any fan curve, and make my case fans too loud on idle. I've thought on tying the fan speed with MOBO mosfet temps instead of CPU, but they hardly climb with how good MSI B450M mortar max manages the stock ryzen.I've tried to make a higher baseline RPM curve for lower temps, so it have more than enough cooling in low temps to manage the spikes, but it didnt help anything...I didn't try to change the step-up/step-down times[its basically hysteresis/inertia right?], maybe that will fix it? Though i doubt it, because it would need to be something like 1-2s of inertia, and there's no such value in BIOS. As a last resort i will try to use the stock cooler and check if it helps. Maybe the mugen is defective? But then, why it works under heavy load? If there was something funky with contact between IHS and mugen heat plate, it would make the temps skyrocket under prime95/aida fpu. CPU sits 34*C idle at the windows desktop[32 at bios], when you move mouse it goes to 43-44*c, when you open chrome it can sometimes go to 50*C, and opening the chrome with lots of tabs it can go even as high as 59-60*C!!!. The frequency on all cores don't drop below 3600 mhz, and 1.0V, slightly moving mouse and bam you have 1,3-1,4V and 4,2GHz on desktop, same for chrome. im pretty pissed after moving from a I5 4670 with a lousy stock cooler that run flawlessly, compared to this. I've never had such problems with Intel Pentium 4, E8400 and I5 4670. Never seen 10*C-15*C jumps in idle, or 20-25*C jumps when opening chrome with CoreTemp monitoring program along. Never seen CPU running such high freq and voltage on idle.[the i5 4670 runs 0,7v -0,8ghz on idle, and even if the frequency and voltage jumps for a fraction, the temperature increase is not that much[5-8*C, with chrome its 10-12*C], whereas ryzen runs 3,6ghz 1,0v all the time on idle. This also badly impact environement and my bills, since its wasted electricity. Question is, i heard people talking about enabling/disabling cool and quiet, enabling/disabling power supply idle control, enabling/disabling PBO,setting P-states, manually overclocking/setting cores on the CPU to remedy this problem. So which one to do to fix the problem? I don't want to test all these settings, and screw something. Is there really no way to change it? I can't imagine a 2019 CPU needs to run its clocks at 3,2-3,6ghz at idle, to manage mundane tasks, when my old Haswell I5 4670, downlocked to 0,8GHz!!![and upclocked to 3,6 GHz when necessary!], and still run chrome/idle fine, with great temperatures[albeit i had 60hz monitor back then, idk if that changes anything, i doubt]
  20. Hello I just got parts for a new pc put them all together and when I turn the pc on it wont post on the monitor all the fans are spinning and the mother board and gpu rgb is on i got a asus tuf x470plus motherboard ryzen 5 3600 cpu and asus tuf 5700xt. I also got 2x16gb rams I tried with 1and 2 plugged in still no post please help.
  21. Hi. I'm currently planning to build a pc myself - never done before. I've ordered most of the main components. The case is the CoolerMaster Silencio S600TG and it comes with two 120mm fans, one front and one rear. I'm wondering if i should add any additional fans to the case. I wont be doing any overclocking to the cpu but slight oc to the gpu. If I should add, which fan config would be best in your opinion? The main objective is to keep components at a reasonable temperature and noise levels at kinda normal - not hoping silence but not too loud. Here's the component list - Ryzen 5 3600 with stock cooler Asrock B450m Steel Legend Gigabyte RTX 2060 Gaming OC Hyper-X Fury 3200MHz 16GB XPG SX8200 256GB Seagate Barracuda 1TB CoolerMaster Silencio S600TG Thermaltake Litepower 500W Cheers
  22. Hi guys! I have a complete build: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $189.99 @ Walmart CPU Cooler ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 120 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $64.97 @ Amazon Motherboard MSI B450I GAMING PLUS AC Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard $124.99 @ Amazon Video Card Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB TURBO OC Video Card $789.99 @ Amazon Case Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV SHIFT Mini ITX Tower Case $109.99 @ Amazon Power Supply SeaSonic FOCUS SGX 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply $116.99 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1396.92 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-12-23 05:26 EST-0500 The problem I have: I see some (not really much) thermal throttling on my GPU. I have the phanteks fan intaking air in front-bottom, an Arctic F14 intaking on front top, and the rad exhausting at the bottom. I've set the clc to max out at 80% and the throttling eased up, but I still reaching 87 °C on the blower card with 100% fan. Could I ease this If I reconfigure the fans to go all intakes and full positive pressure? (Front exhausting is not a good idea in this case, becouse the panel reflects hot air back to the intake.) Should I try to ziptie a slim 120mm noctua to the top? I think the arctic fan is simply so strong, that steals air from my Blower fan. Or sould I just ditch the front-top intake, and intake only through the bottom, and let my Graphics card to be the exhaust? Or any other ideas? I simply love the look of this case, it fits my setup extremly well, and portability isn't too hard either. I just want to brimg down the GPU temps to around 80°C.
  23. Hi, I am planning to build a new PC. I will be using this PC for both gaming and programming. I just wanted the computer to be future proof too. I am just confused about whether to buy an older Ryzen 5 2600 or the newer Ryzen 5 3600. I'm from India, so the prices for Ryzen 5 2600 is Rs. 11800 and for the Ryzen 5 3600 is Rs. 16800. There is about 5K difference in prices. Is it advisable to save money and buy R5 2600 and invest the extra 5K in a GPU or to get the all-new R5 3600? Also is there any Intel alternatives to look after? Which platform offers better future-proofing ? Thanks
  24. Current Specs: Ryzen 5 3600, MSI MPG x570 wifi, Corsiar Vengeance 16GB, GIGABYTE Geforce RTX 2060 6GB, MSI Geforce GTX 1050TI 4GB, Windows 10. Summary: Trying to run dual monitors which only have hdmi but from everything I've read I would need a second gpu with the motherboard I am running. After reading up a bit I thought I might be able to run my 1050TI I had from an old build just for the second monitor. (I know all the hardware works as I have tested them on separate builds before posting this) Issues: No matter how I configure the GPUs it always wants to run everything through the 1050TI. Most of the time I can't even get windows or Nvidia to recognize the 2060. I've tried booting UEFI as I read that sometimes fixes it but that just causes one monitor to freeze upon boot. Not sure what to do or if im just not able to run this hardware together properly?
  25. So... I have a Pc that I recently put together, It's a Ryzen 5 3600 + x570 ASUS TUF Plus/Br + Rx 580 Sapphire Nitro+ 4GB + Evga 600B (600w / 80+ Bronze) + 2x8 Hyperx Predator DDR4 Ram. The Ram Is where It gets weird, one stick 8GB 3200mhz Cl 16 (hx432c16pb3a/8), and one stick 8GB 3000mhz Cl 15 (hx430c15pb3a/8); when I bought these Ram sticks I bought them individually In different websites, and I thought that a XMP profile would put them in the same frequency/ latency, wich in fact happend. So I did a windows fresh install and manually installed the drivers, then, when I went WEB-BROWSING I got blue screens. Initially I had a B450 AORUS ELITE, but I also had blue screens that would come and go, depending on which BIOS version I was (in one BIOS version I had no blue screens, but It was an old one, so I decided to update to a more recent version, thats when my problens started ); so I sold it and bought a new x570 board assuming that I would have no problems, well.... I was wrong. With the factory BIOS I had blue screens, then i tried updating It, and It partially solved my problem. I still get blue screens every once and a while and my games occasionally crash, wich menas the problem is still there but It occur less. I've tried testing each memory individually and also tried some friend's memory and these problems remain, In total I've tried 3 different brands of memory, and still, all my blue screens are memory related. Also tried: - booting windows 10 from an SSD - booting windows 10 from an HDD - different Builds of windows 10 (from 1903 to 1909) - XMP disabled - lower frequencys like 2666, 2400 (my factory clock is 3200/3000) - BIOS flashback (well... ASUS simply don't let me go back to my factory BIOS version, or any other previous one, so I'm stuck with the lattest version) The most common errors I get : - system exception not not handled - irql_not_less_or_equal Plz HELP !!!
