Hey ! I wanted to prepare my computer for a future update to windows 11, and saw that my Ryzen 5 2600x was supposed to be fully compatible. So I went into the Bios and turned on "AMD fTPM" , and when I restarted, The computer got into system recovery, saying that it was "unable to run Winload.efi". I decided to put everything back to normal - which worked totally fine - and thought that it might just be that my windows 10 install was not compatible due to it being installed with the fTPM module disabled. But a few days ago, I burned a windows 11 ISO just to check if it was compatible, and after turning back on the fTPM, my install CD was not able to boot (if I recall correcly, it either told me my computer was not compatible or crashed and restarted). The manual of my motherboad (B450 Aorus Pro Wifi) suggests that I buy a TPM module, but I read online that Ryzen CPUs already had some sort of TPM 2.0 built-in. Maybe a Bios update is required ? Sorry for my bad english ! Tristan

So, my PC started stuttering a while back, when there was an automatic Windows update. Looks like the the CPU starts using only one or two of it's cores, never peaking, but it's definitely not close to usage of the other cores. It is not a problem on certain games or programs, because it happens to many different applications. This problem has happened before, but not as intense as it is happening now, and it kind of solved itself with time. The worst part about it now is that it is completely unstable and happens out of nowhere. It can happen after half an hour of studying in the PC or after half a day of playing. I tried a lot of different stuff to try and solve it (including uninstalling the Windows updates). Optimizing the BIOS configuration is my last hope. I know it might not even possible with this hardware, especially the memory, but maybe someone had this same issue Edit: The inconsistency attacks again. Half an hour in a meeting, it started stuttering. This is what happens. It stopped after a few minutes, and the third image is the normal CPU usage AFTER it started functioning badly.

(First of all, I need to mention that I posted this problem first in Tom's Hardware forum(1 week ago), didn't get a reasonable answer, so here I go posting it here...) Hi, First I'm gonna tell you specs of old and current pc: (Also this is gonna be long, I'll try to mark the more important parts with Bolding) Old(!) PC: { --MB: Asus H97 Pro Gamer, --CPU: Intel Core i5 4460, --RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 4GB DDR3 1866Mhz * 4, --GPU: Asus Dual Gtx 1060 3GB, --SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB (sata), --PSU: Thermaltake Smar SE 630w } Current(Upgraded) PC: { --MB: Gigabyte B450M DS3H, --CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x, --RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR4 3000Mhz * 2, --GPU: (Same as above), --SSD: (Same as above), --PSU: (Same as above) } Now to the problem, 1 year ago I bought new cpu/mb/ram (I bought an Asus Prime B450M-A(CSM) back then), installed everything and ready to go but my mb beeped in a certain pattern which I then realized it meant it had gpu problems, I then sent the mb to warranty company, after a week they said it was some bios problem and now it's fixed, brought home the "fixed" mb, tested it, but still didn't work so I moved everything back to old pc (Because I needed(!) to continue playing games) About 8 months ago me and my uncle(he has some computer knowledge) went through testing it again, I don't remember what we tested exactly, but probably every basic problem solving method, There existed a weird problem, my 1060 worked fine on the h97 mb, but when I connected it to the Asus B450M-A mb it didn't even post, even keyboard's numpad(trying to turn it on) didn't work, I connected a 9500 gt graphics(Which I believe is full length but uses pcie 2 x8) card to the mb and it worked fine (weird) .1 month ago I even tested connecting 2 PSUs(630w + 500w) at the same time to upgraded pc ( 500w to cpu and mb, 630w to gpu), problem insisted except time time keyboard was working!. Yesterday I bought the Gigabyte mb because I was pretty sure it was mb's fault. Previous Asus B450M mb had only 1 pcie 3 x16, the new one has 1 pcie 3 x16 and 1 full length pcie x4, more room for testing.I said to myself "Ah sht, here we go again" and started changing mb ... same problem, so I moved the graphics card to the lower pcie x4 slot, aaaand it worked (However I couldn't connect most pin-related stuff to mb because the gpu was covering them, I had to power on the pc by using a very thin screw driver :S ). I also updated new mb's bios and gpu's bios(!). So here's my "Question", why does my graphics card works on the old h97 pcie 3 x16 and on the new Gigabyte's pcie x4 but not on neither Gigabyte nor Asus(new one) pcie 3 x16 slots(Not working: no display)? P.S. Here's extra hardware I have access to: { Geforce 9500 gt, Geforce 7100 gs(!), 500w psu, Samsung 128gb sata ssd, 2 sata hdd } P.S. My 500gb ssd has Debian 10 on it(The one I'm currently using(and writing this post on it)), and the 128gb has Windows 10. Thank you in advance.

I recently built a PC, Aorus B450 Pro Wifi with a Ryzen 5 2600x, RX560 as a temp GPU, when I turn it on all the lights and fans turn on, but it will not display BIOs, or anything at all. The red CPU light is on. I am not hugely skilled in this, and I’m worried about killing my new board, or frying my CPU.

So I downloaded speccy to see my temps and so I noticed that my CPU was running at 90 degrees plus. I opened GPU-Z, Quick CPU and my motherboard BIOS and they all displayed my CPU running from 30 to 40 degrees. Is speccy displaying my CPU temps correctly or is it just a bug?

ryzen 5 2600x Ryzen 5 2600x Idling at 48C - 50C

Hi Guys, So recently i noticed that my Ryzen 2600x is idling at 47C - 50C. Hi there! I have read articles and seen multiple videos about the ryzen processors, what I found out was that you could buy the r5 2600 rather than the x version and overclock it. The 2600 version is able to perform just as the ryzen 5 2600x when overclocked and even better sometimes. Is this true? If so what motherboard and cooler should i pair up with the ryzen 5 2600. I don't want the motherboard or the processor to overheat. I plan on buying the MSI b450 tomohawk motherboard and the Artic Freezer 33 Esports one. Is the MSI b450 tomohawk able to overclock without problems or should i try looking at different motherboard. Same goes for the cooler. Thanks for help!

Hey guys, I'm planning to build a new pc with the following specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX Vega 64 or Sapphiere Nitro+ AMD RX Vega 56 MOBO: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK AMD B450 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR ATX Retail RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX black DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 4 SSD: 500GB Crucial MX500 2.5" (6.4cm) SATA 6Gb/s 3D-NAND TLC (CT500MX500SSD1) Case: Cooler Master MasterCase H500 Mesh PSU: 750 Watt Corsair TX-M Series TX750M Modular 80+ Gold As you can see, I'm not sure yet, if I should choose the better CPU or the better GPU, I can't choose both! I have about 100 Euros left, so that's why I can only buy one higher end item. So far, I think I will buy the better CPU, since I saw a higher fps gain in games (on youtube) with the CPUs when compared with the GPUs. I mainly use my pc for gaming, but I also use programms like photoshop quite often, but I don't care if I could save 10 seconds for exporting an image with buying a more expensive CPU. When it comes to games, I play on 1080p so it may sound overkill but it isn't - any game which is moddable, for example Skyrim, Fallout 4 or GTA 5 - I mod them to the maximum - Hundreds of 4K Textures, scriptheavy mods, massive ENBs and so on (and from experience a standard 1080p gaming setup isn't enough for that. I'm also planning to buy a 144Hz Monitor in the future,so a bit more performance is crucial). So far, my plan is to wait for a month, for the release of Ryzen Gen 3, hoping that the R5 or R7 CPU (or mabye GPU) prices will drop, that I can save some money. Are there any speculations about how much the prices will drop, when they will, does anyone has some experience with this? Buying one of the new Gen 3 CPU will be too expensive at launch am I right? And what about the new GPUs, they use GDDR6 instead of HBM2, so they should be a bit cheaper then the Vega line (that's what I heard), but still more expensive because they are the newest and a bit better, right? I don't really know what do to right now, any help is appreciated! Also, will the airflow be okay? The case has 2x 200mm fans in the front and 1x 120mm at the rear and I will use the be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 4 tower cooler. Is it nessecary to buy more fans as an exhaust or is it enough?

Hey, so I just built a new PC, with ryzen 5 2600x, palit rtx 2080, 3200MHz 16gb corsair vengeance RAM, 600w be quiet! psu, and I’m gaming on 1080p. At the time I’m playing fortnite, and I’ve capped my FPS to one 160 and were expecting it to constantly be up there with one setting on epic and the rest on low. But it’s not like that, it drops all the time and goes as low as 60 FPS. (I used my old SSD and I had problems with drops on my last PC aswell, Idk if it can cayse anything) Anyone have any clue on what can be causing it and how to fix?

hey i previously searched for ram that was something that would fit in what i wanted to have. And it came down to now this ram stick pair: (corsair vengeance RGB pro) https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1183727/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-cmw16gx4m2c3200c16.html (these i already have/installed/use in my pc) Together with this motherboard: (b450 gaming pro carbon ac) https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1227587/msi-b450-gaming-pro-carbon-ac.html and this cpu: (2600x) https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1166765/amd-ryzen-5-2600x-wraith-boxed.html Is this a good match and can i get decent speeds/timings? i currently have this ram stick pair: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/415201/crucial-ct2k8g4dfd8213.html which is pretty bad and in need of replacement.

Hi. I just upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 3 1200 to a Ryzen 5 2600x. After installing, I went to do some testing. During Cinebench, my CPU core temp was reaching 95 degrees Celsius towards the end of the test. I thought that was quite high, so I removed the cooler, re-applied my thermal paste, and reinstalled the cooler. Nothing changed. I then tested it in the Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark at near max settings and my temp capped at 76 degrees. After that, I ran the Rainbow 6 Siege benchmark with temps hitting around 81 degrees. I haven't OC'd at all yet bc I was worried about these temps. I've gone into the BIOS and set the fan speeds to max. Should I be worried about these temps or am I just being paranoid? Thanks so much in advance!

a couple of weeks ago, i finally persuaded my dad to get a new desktop, as i was getting concerned abut the security risks of him doing bills and stuff on a hp windows xp machine from 2005, he said we could build a pc in the 500$ price point, in the end we ended up at 600$ but whatever, i had a nzxt h2 case from a friend, so i wasn't going to spend any of my budget on a case, we ended up with a ryzen 5 2600x and a radeon rx570, as i am a die-hard amd fan(+1 e-point to you if you get the pun) with a 3 Tb seagate drive, we were gonna go for the 1Tb but the 2Tb was only 10$ more, and then the 3Tb was only 10$ more then the 2Tb, a 240 gb inland sata ssd, 2x 8 gig 3000Mhz sticks of g.skill ageigs ram, it was only 65$, witch, correct me if im wrong, but that's a pretty good deal. We got a asrock 450 pro4 motherboard witch when bundeled with the cpuat microcenter, got us 30$ of both of them. a asus wifi adapter as my house dose not my Ethernet wiring, and a 650 watt 80 plus bronze semi moulder PSU, for cooling i used the fans my freind gave me with the case and the cooler bundled with the ryzen 5 2600x, as the guy at micro centre told me in his experince with that cooler he could still over clock his cpu, my periferals are a cheap 20$ keyboard i got from walmert that i plan to replace, a hand me down razer naga chroma, and a monitor i am borrowing from my sister, in the futer i plan to replace it with the Asus - VP228QG 21.5" 1920x1080 75 Hz Monitor for 110$, i haven't cable managed very well, but as time gose on i will improve it, below is a image of it.

Hey guys. I’m building my first PC and I can’t decide on a graphics card. So I’m using a CX750M for my powersupply, an Asus ROG Strix b450-F, 16g 3200MHz ram, and a Ryzen 5 2600X. What do you guys think would be a good GPU to pair? I was thinking a 1660 6 gig.

Hi I am having problems with low fps (30-45) in World of Warcraft (settings on 7 out of 10), and I have no idea what the cause might be. I've updated to the latest drivers for my GPU, newest chipset driver and newest bios version. I am running a 3 monitor setup. I've also never touched overclocking, and I'd like to avoid it aswell. My setup: GPU: Palit Geforce GTX 1070 dual 8gb CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x RAM: Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 16GB. (2x8GB 2666MHz DDR4 CL16 SR x8 Unbuffered DIMM) Motherboard: Asus rog strix B450-F gaming, socket-am4 Hardrive: Samsung 970 evo PSU: Corsair RM650x I have another setup (i5 8600, gtx 1060, 2666mhz 16gb, RM650x psu) with 4 monitors, running with the same world of warcraft settings and getting 90-100 fps. Any idea what could cause the poor performance on my AMD setup? If you need more information, let me know. Best regards

New here and wanted to see if I could get some feedback on the below build. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6RyXw6 I was looking to build a system capable of taking advantage of a 1440p/144hz monitor without breaking the bank completely. Initial goal (not including monitor and peripherals) was to not break about $1200 and I got pretty close to that goal at about $1260. All in all though, did I spend my money in the right places? And with this build will I actually be able to experience the glory of 1440p/144hz? Feel free to shred, or give any feedback in general in reference to the build plan and thank you all in advance.

Hello, I'm planning to buy and build my 1st custom PC. Main reason to buy and build PC is because I was only ever using non gaming laptops and now I have saved up some money to build an all-rounder PC for both gaming and 3D modeling purposes. Planning to start buying parts rather soon, in a week or two weeks time. I am also located in Europe. The prices I'm adding are taken from local retailers today 26th Jan 2019. I also am going to buy all the parts from my native local retailers, as I want to have warranty active in my country. Even though I'm not planning overclocking right now, but to have this option is rather good to have, as after the build is complete I'm not planning to upgrade it in the nearest 5 years or so. Budget is flexible but don't want to exceed 1000 € Parts I have picked so far: GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2060 VENTUS 6G OC (370.62 €) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 3.6 GHz, AM4 (200.79 €) MoBo: MSI X470 GAMING PLUS Socket AM4 (134.15 €) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3000MHz CL16 (109.69€) Case: Phanteks Case Eclipse P300 Black (55.28 €) PSU: Seasonic M12II-520 EVO 520W M12II-EVO520 (62.53 €) CPU cooler: Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE Red ACFRE00042A (32.60 €) Total price: 965.66 € Excluding price of Storage (250GB WD Blue SSD + 1TB HDD) and peripherals which I have laying around. My main concern is whether or not this PSU I have chosen is enough for the current build. I prioritize semi-modular or modular PSU with around 500W power. Online power supply calculator for parts above: https://outervision.com/b/QoJv7J I might also buy a new monitor and currently aiming for monitor in 200 € price range. The one I have recently found is: ViewSonic VX2458-C-MHD 144Hz Curved LED VA Speakers and AMD FreeSync (194.49 €) I'm looking forward to your opinions about this PC part list I've made.

I recently got a new PC and it has a ryzen 5 2600x in it. The problem with that is that online I'm seeing up to 1200+ points in Cinebench on stock ryzen 2600(x), while I'm here sitting with my ryzen 5 2600x that clocks to 3.950GHz at max under cinebench and under gaming load sometimes when I'm lucky 4GHz. Stock I get 1000 points or so in Cinebench and with 14-14-14-34 RAM at 2800MHz I'm seeing 1270 points max. If I try to overclock I get 4.1GHz on all cores and 4.3 on one core with 1.41 Volts. I don't even know what I could be doing wrong here or what is wrong with my CPU. I use a mini ITX motherboard from Asus (x470i) and a 240mm AiO. Should i update BIOS or Chipset? I tried resetting BIOS multiple times and it never helped. A voltage offset of -0.1 doesn't help either... Also, has anyone yet found a solution to access fan speeds or temperatures in Windows? I can't read temperature or control fan speeds (except Asus AI Suite 3, but that is just crashing my PC) .

I have just built a new PC with an ryzen 5 2600X and B450-F motherboard. I am using G.Skill 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Ripjaws V (serial: F4-3200C16D-16GVKB). When i go into my BIOs the RAM is set to 2133Mhz, but when i try setting it to D.O.C.P 3200Mhz and restart, i get a black screen and the DRAM led on the mobo lights up. I have then had to reset the cmos and it works again. I have found other threads relating to the same issue with the same components, but they had the ram in the wrong slots, but i have installed mine according to the manual in position 2 and 4. I checked the QVL and the 8gb variant of the same RAM is supported. I really dont know what to do next
