Ryzen 5 2600 Crucial Ballistix 3200 CL16 Rx 5700XT B450 TOMAHAWK MAX So during games, once every 2-3 weeks my screen blacks out with the audio out of sync and frozen and looped. The whole system is unresponsive and I'm sure even windows is not running. The CPU debug LED lights up red. If my CPU is bad how do I test it consistently? and how bad should it be for me to seek warranty service? I bought this current motherboard in October because the pc was behaving the same on the previous one. But the old problem is happening here too so something must be up with the CPU, right? I have afterburner and HWmonitor running all the time. Nothing unusual to report.

hey guys, I just did a full reset to my computer, and I noticed my Ryzen starts overclocked It's supposed to be 3400mhz and because it starts overclocked even though i didnt set it to, it just ends up crashing my computer or some programs due to overheating, it will go as high as 3900 i think, without me even asking it to. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can prevent it? In the bios it's set to 3400mhz so I really don't know

I recently bought a PC off craigslist for my girlfriend. I switched out her RTX 2060 for myself and gave her my Gigabyte GTX 1060. I also formatted my 1 TB hard drive and gave it to her since her PC only came with a 512 GB m.2. I started playing games on my PC with the 2060 and all the games are crashing. VRchat, DBD, 7 days to die, I know these aren't the most stable games but i NEVER had crashes this often before I switched to this 2060. I seriously cannot tell if the GPU is faulty or if its something wrong with the files ive probably messed up from transferring files from drive to drive. I've done so much cleaning up with temp files, dump files, using DDU to uninstall old drivers, you name it, I've probably tried it and games still continue to crash. I'm fairly certain the 2060 is faulty and maybe I got ripped off but I'm glad my GF has a PC now but It really sucks if it really is the 2060 because all my games run smoothly. 144 FPS, 1080p, ultra settings, and then will just crash for seemingly no reason. I don't have another GPU to test this out with but I was thinking of formatting my entire PC, boot drive and all, but before I do that, I would really love a second opinion. I'm willing to talk in discord or something if needed. I would really appreciate if anyone can help in anyway. Thank you for taking the time to read this. My discord is Klokparty#9193 This is the PC I bought off the guy on craigslist: hhttps://computerdealsdirect.com/hp-omen-obelisk-desktop-875-0129-intel-i7-16gb-ram-2tb-hdd-256gb-ssd-geforce-rtx-2060-6gb/?gclid=Cj0KCQiA0-6ABhDMARIsAFVdQv_YjjP1ZRMHcoDjecE1UeT0GbB9UOq6Wjg9SBq9tXf_evxNPVIRPDwaAoRzEALw_wcB

Hello everyone let me start with my specs: Desktop GPU RTX 3060 12GB CPU Ryzen 5 2600 Ram 2x16 and 2x8 DDR4 RAM 3200 mhz motherboard Asus ROG Strix b-450 F gaming monitor MSI 144hz Freesync HD 1080p PSU: Corsair gold 750W (something like that) HDD: two Compaq 500 gb and WD Blue 1 tb SSD: NVME m.2 WD 1 tb and Kingston’s 120 gb SSD so I’ve been playing Cyberpunk lately ever since 1.5 came out but I’ve been getting horrible frames and I don’t know why I reinstalled windows updated my bios and drivers. Put my settings on low. Not a big improvement I still get like 30-60 fps especially on low settings. Yes I enabled DLSS but it hasn’t honestly improved much. I’ve also added images to show you my frames on the top left. I asked one of my friends who has a 2060 super with a 2600x and he’s been getting on average 60-80 frames on Ultra RTX off. I also got told by a guy on Reddit who has the same CPU I have but he has a 1660 Super and he’s getting 70 FPS on medium settings. I’m honestly out of words and idk what is happening with my setup. Tarkov I always get on average 45 fps sometimes more if I’m on labs but it’s mostly 45 fps since I play interchange. I’ve went around on Nvidia and Reddit got no answers sadly. FYI I tried XMP files on my ram sticks but my PC didn’t like it and gave me blue screen of death. For some reason I could go above 2800 mhz even after I stopped playing around with it after I launched my PC the next day it gave me an error code for XMP I’ll also have an image of it I hope someone knows what my issue is. I might honestly bug a Ryzen 7 5800x. But I’m afraid I’ll have the same issue EDIT: I forgot to add this my CPU usage was 70-90% and GPU was 80-99% EDIT2:

Hey guys I need some help, I bought a 2x8gb avexir core 2 3200mhz kit last year and during that time I was able to run the ram at 3200mhz with no problems. However a few days ago I experienced bsods that show codes relating to a faulty ram so I tried to run memtest 86 and hci memtest. First I tried to run memtest86 on each of the ram. @3200mhz there were no errors at all but if I test both of the sticks at the same time errors are showing up specifically at test #8. Although on my second attempt to test both the sticks at the same time no errors showed up at all. So after that I immediately ran HCI memtest but at around 20% it already showed up errors. Next I tried to lower the speed to 3133mhz. In memtest86 this speed showed up errors too and on the same test also test #8 however no errors showed up at HCI memtest up to about 400-450%. Furthermore I also experience a bsod at this ram speed that relates to a faulty ram Lastly(and my current configuration right now), I lowered the speed of the ram again to 3066mhz. It showed up no errors for both memtest86 and HCI memtest. I have yet to experience a bsod in this speed, I have been running this 3066mhz only for 3 days as of the moment. So the question in my mind right now is, has my cpu degraded already? (I haven't tried to overclock it yet since I am still using the stock cooler) or is my ram faulty and/or degraded to the point that it can't run at 3200mhz anymore even though it was rated for that speed? (if ram degradation is even possible) Hope that someone can help me here P.S. my motherboard is a b450 steel legend and I have tried to update the bios already but still experienced the same problems. All of the ram slots in the board are also working.

Hi, so I have been building this pc for a couple of months now, and as it would be finished it just wont post. Fans are spinning, mobo lights are on but nothing else. Specs: Asus PRIME B450M-A Ryzen 5 2600 Gigabyte GTX 670 (damn shortages) 2x8GB G.Skill Ripjaws V Some older 600W Cooler Master PSU The problem is, that separately all of the components seem to be working just fine. I have swapped the ram, and the gpu as well. They should be fine. The mobo and cpu have been sent back to the retailer for checkup but no problems were found then. Anyone any thoughts?

I would just want to ask what can you recommend more for me as I am planning to save money to buy a new CPU from Ryzen 3 3200G for content creation (Adobe Premiere Pro/Photoshop/After Effects), because I have already a discrete GPU in RX580 4gb (pre-loved from a good friend, just gave it to me). I have an MSI A320M PRO-E motherboard. Which one would be better in your opinion? Based on paper, R5 2600 is at 3.4 GHz while the R7 2700 is at 3.2 GHz. But on the core/thread count, R7 2700 obviously wins at 8C/16T while R5 2600 has 6C/12T. Which one of them is more bang for the buck? Thanks a lot everyone! PS. Would try to buy a tray type only from Lazada/Shopee (online shopping platforms here in the Philippines)

Good day to all. May I ask the thermal enthusiasts here? Is this Thermal Paste good enough? Or better at least than the stock thermal paste on my Ryzen 5 2600? I'm currently having 75°C max / full load on my CPU while using the stock cooler. I bought this thermal paste a while now, for just only $6. Is this good enough to replace my out-of-the-box pre-applied thermal paste on my Ryzen 5 2600? Thank you in advance to you all. God bless!

1. Will I be able to play modern games with it (Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, etc) at a stable 60 fps? 2. Will it bottleneck? 3. Will ray tracing work at a stable 60 fps? BTW, sorry if my questions are common, stupid and dumb.

Hi I'm just wondering whats the highest GPU that could be paired with Ryzen 5 2600 in 1440p gaming? Also, can a CPU like R5 2600 handle a RTX 30 series card or a RX 6000 series card? Thanks!

Hey, I was just wondering which would be best for 1080p 144Hz gaming. My two options are: Ryzen 5 3600 ($343) + RTX 2060 ($549) Ryzen 5 2600 ($243) + RTX 2060 Super ($598) Thanks in advance! (btw the most intense games I would be playing would be Assassin's Creed or SOTR)

Hi, so I was wondering if an RTX 2060 super would be a good pairing with a Ryzen 5 2600 for 1080p 144Hz. (I live in NZ and the 2600 is over $100NZD cheaper than the 3600. The 2060 Super is only $50NZD more than the 2060). Thanks in advance!

I am not sure how to diagnose this issue. I am new to the PC world, and I have been learning as I go. I recently purchased a PC off of eBay, hardware specs are listed down below. My PC seems to crash when I am running any type of game. I have tried it with Destiny 2, Hunt Showdown, Overwatch 2, Fortnite, COD MW2, Alien Isolation, etc. When watching the graphics card usage on my task manager, I noticed that it would shoot down to 0% usage then spike to 100% and crash the game to my desktop. The previous owner said he had a similar issue, but fixed it when he had set the ram to the correct speed. I have tried to do that as well, and then proceeded to get bluescreens until I lowered the speed to around ~3400mhz. I am not sure what else to do, as I have updated the BIOS, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers manually, and I am reaching the limit of my knowledge. Any help would be appreciated at this point. Parts list: - AMD B450 Tomahawk MAX - Ryzen 5 2600 - XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT Thicc 3 - 16gb (2x 8gb) ddr4 3600 G-Skill Ripjaws - 2TB Samsung 980 SSD - Seasonic Focus GX-650 (650 watts) 80plus gold - NZXT H510 w/ 4 pre installed fans

Hello there, So I'm looking to upgrade my pc, see my current (and first) build. But I feel the need for more power while gaming, I want to reach 144 fps while gaming on 1440p. The title mostly describes the problem, but here's a less rough description: Built myself a new system back in November since the old components, especially the i5 3470, were starting to show their age in more recent games, such as my main one, Rainbow Six Siege (which really has a problem with anything 4 core or less). The specs are as follows: -Ryzen 5 2600 -MSI X570 Gaming Plus (I was planning to get a third gen ryzen, but the price didn't drop a bit; took in consideration possible future upgrades, alongside the fact the best B450 mobos were out of stock, and I went for the X570, even if I got myself a 2nd gen ryzen) -HyperX Fury Black 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL 15 (dual channel kit) -GTX 1050 Ti (which I had previously used with the old system) So far, so good, the system runs normally on most games I throw at it, with the exception (until now, at least) of CSGO, which micro-freezes every now and then, especially when I'm about to turn a corner to an enemy. It also feels kind of jaggy sometimes. I tried different fixes I found on the internet, such as: -trying different power plans (including the AMD one) -trying different XMP profiles (and none) -turning off Shader Caching in the NVIDIA Control Panel -installing the game on the SSD instead of the HDD -disabling fullscreen optimizations ...but to no result. There is also one solution (link: https://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/350542050096654423/ ) I found which talks about setting different affinities (more precisely deselecting different cores), which so far I only tried with core 0. Doing it didn't solve the problem, though it might have helped a little (will update the thread once I find if it really did). Other than that, I am open to new solutions.

Hey, I recently bought a MSI rtx 2070 super Gaming X trio and in one of my favourite games I dont can barely get above 60 fps and even drops lower than 50 in some cases (driving very fast or a lot of explosions). Cpu Usage (ingame, Gta 5): between 20% and 30% Gpu Usage (ingame, Gta 5) max. at 2% (in Warzone it goes up to like 55%) GPU Clock (although it's overclocked): 1605 - that's the default clock (should be at 1800 at least) And it doesn't make a difference if I play on all low settings or everything on ultra in Gta. Although on Ultra it's more stable. I first thought it could be that it's running of an HDD but when I reinstalled it onto my ssd it stayed the same. My Specs: Mainboard: Asus B450 F-Gaming Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600 @3.95 Ghz (Box cooler) Ram: 16 GB of GSkill Aegis @3000 mhz with CL16 timings (xmp profile enabled) Gpu: Msi Rtx 2070 super Gaming X trio, overlocked (powerlimit at max, core clock: +100, memory clock: +450) through msi afterburner or dragon center (doesnt make any difference even if I uninstall one of them) ! When I lower the powerlimit to 100 for some reason I get above 80 fps but only for about 1 hour. Psu: Seasonic Focus Gold 650W, standard cables Case: Nzxt H510, with 2 intake and 2 outtake fans Memory: 970 EvoPlus 500 GB Nvme ssd from Samsung Screen: Asus VG278Q (TN, 144hz, 1ms) In other games it's fine: 1080p Call of Duty Warzone (everything on ultra): average fps of 140 Cs:Go (high): 350 - 420 fps Apex Legends (everything on ultra) : 135fps Temps: Cpu: doesnt get much hotter than 75°C Gpu: almost idle so about 50°C

So I want to upgrade my cpu from a Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 7 3700x but my mobo is the Asus ROG Strix B450-f Gaming and I dont know if the chipset will effect the performance of the 3700x. I do know that I wont be able to take advantage of PCIe 4.0 with the b450 chipset, but I don't have anything that can utilize PCIe 4.0. I have no plans to overclock. All I do is play videogames. Should I upgrade my mobo or will I be fine sticking with my b450?

This post may be on the wrong thread, but I think this fits in. Since I need to attend online classes, I use my PC much more than before, and lately I found it to be too loud. Currently I have inside a Cooler Master MasterAir G100M, on a Ryzen 5 2600 at stock speeds (I will not overclock in the future), and I was wondering if I could instead use the stock Wraith Stealth since it seems less loud. I have also 4 fans in my system, the 2 stock Corsair 120mm that were included in my Carbide 275R (front, intakes), and 2 Corsair LL120 (back and top, exhaust) or something (they are quite cheap and have red leds). I was planning to install the stock cooler with the included thermal material instead of the G100M and remove the 2 stock Corsair fans since I still want red lighting in my case. Does this seems like a good idea?
