Hiya, I've tried the search function and reading the stickies, but there doesn't seem to be a way to find which ITX motherboards support Ryzen 3rd gen out of the box. I have seen plenty of websites with B450 ITX motherboards advertising 1st & 2nd gen, whereas the manufacturer says 3rd gen too... I know the prevailing wisdom seems to be "the stock will be newer by now and will therefore have newer BIOS" but I don't want to risk spending the £££ and end up with an unusable product. Returns are difficult at the moment with the covid lockdown in my country. Besides contacting the retailer (much more difficult due to holiday weekend where I live, and current covid situation) are there any sure-fire ways of knowing 100% for sure: Whether the motherboard BIOS can be updated without a CPU? Whether the motherboard I get delivered will support 3000 series? Many thanks in advance

I have installed Ryzen master on my system before and it worked fine. One day it wouldnt load so i uninstalled the program and went to reinstall. When attempting to reinstall it states that "ryzen master installation is prohibited from installation on this system". Does anybody have a fix for this or any previous experience. I have attempted uninstalling,Deleting all related items for Ryzen master in Registry. The AMD driver remover tool and then after checking this when attempting to install the Chipset driver it states that "This installer is intended to be deployed only on an AMD system. Exiting installation as the requirement is not satisfied." Any Ideas? Ryzen 3600 B450 Steel Legend 16gbs of DDR4 3200mhz

I was wondering if upgrading to Ryzen 3rd gen is still worth it now or whether I should wait for 4. I currently have an ivy bridge HTPC which has been running nonstop since October 2012 and it is in dire need of an upgrade. The computer freezes all the time, and becomes unresponsive (so unresponsive that a hard reset is the only way to get it back in "working conditions"). As a result I was thinking about upgrading my current 1st gen Ryzen system, to 3rd gen and transfer the hardware of my current system to my HTPC. If I were to upgrade, my HTPC hardware would be: Ryzen 7 1700 Asrock X370 Taichi 16GB RAM A new M.2 NVME SSD as boot drive I would most likely pass on my current GTX 1060 6gb as soon as I upgrade my GPU too. As for the system that I'll be upgrading to, those are the parts: Ryzen 3900x Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master 32GB RAM NZXT Kraken X73 (The NVME ssd and the HDD are for the HTPC) Should I hold off for now until the new generation is out or considering the current situation and the likely case that the 4th gen Ryzen family will be delayed, I should just upgrade now? EDIT: HTPC runs Plex and is used by my dad in another country and timezone with bad internet which is why the HTPC is on 24/7 (he usually uses it when I'm sleeping) and since he lowers the quality, the on-the-fly transcoding is more CPU heavy which is why I feel that the upgrade would be somewhat worth it

I'm buying a few upgrades for my gaming pc rn I'm getting a 1080p 144hz monitor (Acer xfa240 is the one I plan on feel free to recommend if u know any better monitors) and I currently have a 2200g and Rx 580 in my system. with my budget for my CPU and GPU, I could either buy a ryzen 7 2700 and an RTX 2060 or a ryzen 5 2600 and an RTX 2070 or wait for 3rd gen ryzen and Navi but Idk if Navi will be as powerful as a 2060/2070 and I have a b350 board (gigabyte b350-ds3h) which may not support ryzen 3rd gen and the current ryzen 2 prices could be gone.

B450 Tomahawk and Ryzen 5 3600 shows CPU error LED some time and boots normally otherwise. Numerically, it will not boot 2 out of 5 attempts. What is the solution? CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard: B450 Tomahawk BIOS version: BETA BIOS for B450 Tomahawk labeled 1A1

Hello, I' dlike to get into some more serious 3d modelling with blender and game design with Unity and Unreal Engine. So I want an upgrade since my current pc CPU I7 7700K GPU GTX 960 6GB VRAM RAM 8GB 2400MHz Hyper X isn't able to keep up with blender models over 600k polygons or big game scenes in Unity. My total budget is ~2000USD, but I dont want to spend it all. I've done some research and found the following: Modelling in blender is single core work. So higher clocks are better. Rendering, sculpting, rigging, vector painting and lighting are multi core tasks in blender. In Unity pretty much everything is multi core: lighting and light baking, code compiling and assets ect. Terrain building is single core in Unity. At least 16GB RAM is highly recommended in both programs. Blender stores modells in the GPU's VRAM. I'm not looking for 150%sRGB since I have a pretty baller OLED tv that can do that. Every part is subject to change except for the case. It's just too nice to not use it I can't wait for some comments and thanks in advance.

So I'm based in Florida and looking to build a budget pc. It's both general purpose and some gaming. I used to build way back in the day (owned a then current IBM PC I upgraded to a HDD from a cassette drive LOL, I'm pushing 60) but the last thing I built was maybe a pentium 4 don't remember much about it except i way over-payed for an all brushed aluminum Lian Li full tower case with like 6 5.25" external bays back when you could have a case in any color as long as it was beige with pebbled finish. nice case though. I don't play racing games, shooters because i have a reaction time of probably 200ms (I do however make an excellent target) or e-sports. I'm more a civ 6, or 4x guy so I'm planning on an AM4 Ryzen 3400G with the RX graphics, stock cooler. not planning to overclock. I'm thinking on using LPX Vengence ddr4 probably 3000 but when I buy i'll see what's the best value. I have several problems though. 1. i'm dirt poor (been out of work for 3 months and rocking an unrelated broken leg) so this is a 6 month+ window to build where i'll be buying like one component a month starting with PSU I think since it least likely to suffer obsolescence . 2. I do play things like Witcher 3 and Uncharted series so FPS isn't something I can completely ignore. 3. I have some old laptops I can re-purpose for the mechanical drives (a dual core Pentium and a I think a 17" gen 3 core I7 (can't remember which exactly but it ended in HQ. it was fast in its day but I can't charge either due to lack of the right sized power supply) with a 1tb 5400 boot drive running windows 7 and I have an acceptable mouse and KB for now but that's basically it unless I can reuse some ram but that's unlikely. My current laptop is using a 3200u and blasting out 1.5 FPS in 3dmark. Need a monitor too, a 24" or better, wide would be nice. going for an ATX mid tower. My main problem is MOBO. I want to use an MSI (best mobos by consensus) but i need displayport or at at least hdmi and wi-fi because my ISP supplied router an motorola SBG 3850? is very inconveniently placed. I was leaning toward the msi B450 carbon AC but I don't have an gen 1 or 2 ryzen chip to flash the bios for the gen 3 so i need a solution for that. And if i'm not overclocking does the VRM cooling matter? I follow LInus tech tips, tech quickie to get back up to speed on some terms like dank and i think I've watched every video going back a year other than the WAN shows which are just too long for my taste (apologies to Mr Sebastien), jayztwocents (he's my homie, my brother from another mother), and just started gamer nexus which has a ton of info but is a little tough to watch leaning toward a corsair cx550 but PCpartpicker says my power draw is about 200w but I don't think a 300w modular or semi exists unless it's way off brand and experience has taught me to not go cheap on that component. i'm not a cable management freak but i like the idea of semi or fully modular Are all $50 mid tower atx cases horror shows to build in? I've looked online at Corsair, THERMALTAKE, Rosewill, Phanteks and IDK how many others and i pay attention to the 1* reviews the most and they are not encouraging. Don't need RGB but If a can get some why the hell not? I do plan on upgrading the CPU and adding an nvidia gpu in the future. i DON"T need pcie 4 and I cant find an X570 in my budget, or a x470 with everything i need. should a go wifi usb dongle or pcie card. router is in the same room but i'd have to move a lot of furniture, add a barrel connector and run it over my front door so another 50 foot run to reach the PC. and if I don't do much online play why would I? budget is 500 to 700 greenback. I have like $30 in amazon gift cards and i'll be running win 10 eventually but the OS is NOT part of the budget.

I wanna buy a build with ryzen's 3rd generation APUs I dont know if I should use dual channel for ram like 4gb 2666mhz or add just 1 8gb 3200mhz I've heard that ryzen's new APUs work better with dual channels but I dont wanna use dual channel because I might add more ram in the future. Please help me If I should use 2x4gb 2666mhz Or 1x8gb 3200mhz

Hello to anyone reading this. I recently got a 3600x and it works awesome! However im noticing that the voltages at default are high (1.4V) while idle or gaming. However very frequently the voltage and clock speeds will randomly spike but for only a second, during this spike my cpu temps goes up but then goes back down. On Ryzen Master my temp stays between 50-55C but when im gaming the max is 70-72c. I never had any of these with my Ryzen 7 1700X, Ive been looking around the web and people say its normal. Is that really true? I should also mention that I have a stock cooler and YES I know I should get a better one, I wanted to use a Hyper 212 Evo but I couldn't find the AM4 bracket anywhere to buy online ? Does anyone maybe have recommandations on a good air cooler? I prefer not to use Liquid Coolers BUT if there is one that anyone thinks is really good and reliable then please let me know. One last question, I have all my drivers installed and windows up to date but I dont have a AMD Ryzen Power Plan but I did with my 1700X, does anyone know why that might be? I already re-installed windows to see if that helped and it didn't. My motherboard is a MSI MPG x570 Gaming Plus and I have a Asus Radeon RX 5700 XT. OH I forgot to mention, when I go into my bios after restarting my computer it says my cpu temp is 39-40, as soon as I go into the OS I can hear my fan spinning up and when I open Ryzen Master its back at 50-55c

I want to build a pc for adobe premiere pro and after effects. In my country the price of ryzen 5 3600x and ryzen 7 2700x are almost same . Which one should i get ? Or should i get the ryzen 5 3600 cause overclocking aint my thing .Also Suggest me a gpu in 200$.TIA

So I got a Ryzen 5 3600 on a MSI B450 gaming pro carbon max wifi(compatible with ryzen 3rd gen out of the box) and 16 GB of 8x2 Corsair vengence LPX 3000mhz. On the first boot I got stuck with the dram led lighting up solid on the motherboard. I let it stay for a maximum of 5 minutes before cutting power and starting to troubleshoot thinking something to be wrong. Recently I got told that Ryzen 3rd gen has seriously bad memory compatibility issues and the first post might take upto 30 minutes. How true is this? And should I have given more time than 5 mins to my pc to check if it posts? System specs: Ryzen 5 3600 MSI B450 gaming pro carbon max wifi RTX 2070 16 GB (8x2) Corsair Vengence LPX 3000 Mhz Corsair CX 650 PSU

About motherboard, what about Biostar X370GT7 for 82€ or MSI B450M MORTAR for 90€? P.S.S.S. 3000MHz ram speed will be enough?
