Hi, My system has following specs: - CPU: 2600X - MOBO: MSI Gaming pro carbon X370 (I'm on the latest bios 7A32v1NV) - GPU: ASUS GTX 1070 - RAM: 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHZ (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16) off which: -2x8GB Samsung K4A8G085WB-BCPB -2x8GB Hynix H5AN8G8NAFR-TFC Context: I build my system originally with 16GB Vengeance ram (the Hynix version). I could run XMP on 3200MHZ, without any problems. In my dad's new system I used the same Ram-kit as in mine, (his system is having some RAM hiccups as well), long story short, I put his RAM-kit in my system. After the installation of my dad's RAM-kit in my system, I saw that his kit uses Samsung B-dies where mine uses Hynix AFR chips. Problem: When I wanted to put the XMP profile on again in the BIOS, the system power cycled and went back to the "default" 2133mhz. I tried different timings and voltages that I found on the internet, but the highest speed on which the computer would not power cycle and boot is 2800MHZ (16-18-18-38 at 1,35V) I tried DRAM Calculator in an attempt to find stable timings, however the two memory chips give two different results, so I don't really know how to "combine" the two results in a working fashion. (I tried the kits separately and they do work on 3200MHZ XMP, when they are not mixed). As attachment, I provided Thaiphoon burner results and the DRAM calculator results I got. Does anybody have any ideas to get the ram stable at 3200Mhz? Kind regards, Andreas ramsamsung.html ramhynix.html

Hey guys! I've been looking around for answers for quite some time and I haven't found any solutions or any similar question about my problem. I built my computer fairly recently and I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, I haven't done overclocking yet beyond changing the speed of the RAM. This morning I tried to check temps using the Ryzen Master software to compare it with what I was getting from HWMonitor, and everything was still running fine. Later on, I was doing some work stuff and decided to get up and rest for a while and left the PC running. I decided to get back to work and saw my PC went into rest mode. It didn't want to wake up and the debug code E0(S3 Resume is Started (called from DXE IPL)) was showing on the motherboard. So I had to do a force shutdown and I booted into OS then it suddenly shut down and restarted again. The debug code also changed from the usual A0(IDE Initialization Started) or 24(Reserved) to D3(Some of the Architectural Protocols are not available). I got into the OS found out that after uninstalling Ryzen Master it was back to the usual codes. But now every time I boot, after a few seconds it'll shut down, the fans would stop and it would try again. It would boot into the OS and run programs for a few minutes then do it again. Here are the solutions I've tried: 1. Go into BIOS and go back to default settings: FAILED still boot looped 2. Took out the RAM and swapped their places, ran everything at stock, and swapped out my UPS for a better AVR: Test Ongoing; seems stable for now... I'm worried I might have killed my CPU, but judging from the temps, voltages, and speeds I'm seeing in TaskManager and HWMonitor, they seem to be okay. I'm hoping my last solution works out in the long run. I just hope somebody out here can tell me what could have potentially happened to my PC with all that's going on. Here are the specs btw: Ryzen 2600x with Stock Cooler 2x8GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3000MHz MSI GAMING Z RTX 2060 Gigabyte X470 Gaming 7 WiFi EVGA Supernova G+ 650W Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB WD Blue 2TB NZXT H500

Hi everyone, I want to buy liquid cooler, an AIO one, but there are so many options and as I'm new to this I've been intimidated with that. Then there's the factor that this is conditioned by the setup, I'll list it below, so I would appreciate if anyone can help me choosing one. Budget: 100USD Setup: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x MoBo: Asus B450-F Strix RAM: G.Skill Trident Z 2x16Gb 3000Mhz Storage: Samsung 970 EVO 256Gb SSD, Seagate Barracuda 2TB GPU: PNY GeForce 1070 xlr8 oc PSU: Corsair CX550M (550W) Case: Corsair Spec Alpha I have installed only the 3 stock fans (2 Pull front, 1 Push back) that were included in the case and the stock one for the CPU, I'm getting temps between 35°c and 65°C, I've read that the stock fans for Ryzen are good enough but I'm not convinced. The case is a factor because it doesn't seem to have much room for radiators. As I said I've just began in this, so I need help. Thank you in advance, people.

Will I get microstuttering or something similar if i paired Ryzen 5 2600X (or OC 2600) with RTX 2080 or GTX 1080Ti on FullHD with 144 Hz monitor? I know, i will get some bottleneck from processor, but this will maybe fix some new games with better (more difficult on graphics) graphics.

computer case Nzxt computer case-good airflow for gaming?
songwriternyc posted a topic in Power Supplies
Hi, For my ryzen 5 vr centered build I am looking at the NZXT h700i computer case. I saw a YouTube vid, but they really didn't address airflow. It's a sweet looking case, but of course I want to keep my components very cool. Yes I am a newbie. But I'm pumped! I plan on getting at least one radiator closed loop cooling but want to get one that has virtually no chance of leaking onto components . Thx...peace Ian S -
So I'm using stock cooler on my Ryzen 2600x + ASRock b450m mobo, and I found that it idles at around 35~37C with -100mv vcore offset and XMP, but no PBO. I'm only using 2 stock coolers supplied with Meshify C, and I noticed that they are pretty bad... especially the front one is barely moving in any air. So I decided to add more fans before considering buying an aftermarket cooler. But that is just my case, and I wanted to know how other fellows are doing with their Ryzen X-chips. I bought 2600x since at the time of the purchase it was only ~$20-23 more expensive than 2600 and I thought I can just go with the stock cooler even with PBO, and I actually have seen people enabling PBO with the stock cooler, some of which actually show equal or even better result than the one using an aftermarket cooler. But it definitely requires better cooling overall inside the case it seems, and I wanted to know the setups of other people using the chips (say what cooler/how many fans you're using, the UEFI setup etc) and their opinions about the stock cooler. Thanks in advance

Hello guys I'm planing in building new pc for working and gaming ( I play strategy games -total war series- planing on playing warhammer 2 on it) for work it's almost computing nothing i can't do on my labtop but still speed is good, my CPU budget is around 240 usd I was thinking on ryzen 7 1700, ryzen 5 2600x or i5-8600k, i can squeeze myself a little and get ryzen 7 1800x with 239 usd and a 20$ fan, Other option is to buy the i7-8700 but then i will ruin my budget. So my question is what do u think its better for me i will pair it with gtx 1080 Also is it better to buy ryzen 1800x and a cooler master water cooling ML240L rgp or a i7-8700 with normal fan ?

So I got a new motherboard and cpu which is Ryzen 5 2600x and Asus b350-f. After I finish building my pc I noticed few problems: 1.Half of my memory got "hardware reserved" and I found that its probably a faulty memory, windows can see that its 8GB but the bios only shows 4gb (its a 2x4GB trident z 3200mhz kit) and the pc wont boot if I just put the probably faulty ram, I only got black screen and not even loading the bios. 2.CPU clock is stuck at 2.2Ghz even though I've set the ratio to auto and even at 36 or lower, I've did some stress test for the CPU with prime95 but the utilization is maxed at 61% Is this just another setting error or do I get faulty products ? I NEED HELP !! Someone please help me...

Hello again. Second time posting here about the same setup, but I didn't get a precise answer about my inquiry, so, if possible, informed opinions only. So I planned out a config, found where I could buy it from but I've come to a standstill regarding motherboard choice. I was initially gonna go for the b350-plus or the b350 tomahawk but it seems they might not be compatible with the ryzen 5 2600x. Another thing is that I need that same motherboard to support 3000/3200mhz ram memory. Here's the setup I was gonna go for: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/W2QHWD I'm gonna upgrade to an SSD and get another stick of 8gb ram in the future, but as of now, it is what it is. Bottom line: I need a mo-bo that supports Ryzen 5 2600X and 3200/3000mhz ram memory(preferably under 110$ since I already maxed out my budget).

Hi there I'm thinking of upgrading my PC for gaming purposes, here are some specs: CPU: FX4350 (w. CM Hyper 212 evo CPU cooler) Ram: 16 GB 1866MHz MoBo: MSI 760gma p34 (fx) GPU: 1060 6gb mini I would like to upgrade for some better performance in games. None of the very newest, so I don't need the ultra-max-extreme treatment. Just some smoother gameplay. As of now, I can either afford to upgrade MoBo, RAM and CPU. Or I can afford to buy a GTX 1070 My question is, what would be most efficient? I am aware that I can sell my old GPU for some of the cost of the 1070, it's only about a month old and have never been above 60c. But I'm gonna have to buy the other three parts in combo and won't be able to afford the GPU upgrade, even minus the takings from the old GPU. Which will not be a viable option when upgrading the combo, since that is veeeeery old The combo that I'm looking into is: Ryzen 2600X (only about 10 dollars more than non-x variant) Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3000MHz MSI B350 PC Mate Or an upgrade to the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3 As I'm very new to PC-building, but I find it interesting, I would appreaciate all the feedback I can get. But on choice of upgrades - brands and items. But especially to which one of the two I should buy (first, maybe) I'm living in DK, so prices in your region might not be comparable, but I would also welcome suggestions of what to look into, if you have other suggestions of roughly equal prices. Also, I'm looking into AIO water cooling my - new - CPU, if I get that. Not immediately, but over time. So any advice of which to buy for my CPU of choice would also be welcomed Thanks in advance - Kasper

I'm going to be building my pc (1st costom one) I was wondering wether the extra 60 bucks is worth upgrading to the 2700from the 2600x The reason is that I want to start streaming gameplay on it.. Also is the h60 from Corsair going to do a better job than the stick wraith spire or the bequiet dark rock 4?
