Hello, so i have a sapphire pulse rx580 8gb for a few years now and ever since i got it ive been noticing this weird "moving pixels" and very horrible aa in every single game. Its not game braking and i usually dont notice it much but ive been wondering if anyone else has seen this before and knows how to fix it. Ive literally tried everything, different settings on the amd software, ive reinstalled windows multiple times since ive got it, upgraded my bios and so on. The one thing that seems to be making a difference is if i use virtual super resolution but that isnt really a choice since my pc isnt that good. Here is a video in gw2 to demonstrate what i mean by "moving pixels" but keep in mind in other games this effect is much much more amplified. Notice where my mouse is pointing. Also the game graphics settings are at max with the highest aa setting for gw2 being SMAA high. My specs: Ryzen 5 5500 (had the same problem with ryzen 3 2200g) AMD sapphire pulse rx580 8gb asrock 350ab pro4 with bios 7.0 so that it can support Cezanne (had the same problem before upgrading the cpu) dual channel 16gb ram with xmp at 3200mhz Any ideas or advice are welcome, thanks in advance. EDIT: I have also uninstalled/reinstalled/updated my drivers many times and are currrently on version 24.1.1 . Guild Wars 2_clip_1_clip_1.mp4

Hello, So I have an HP z420 Workstation and have been wondering if I could upgrade the GPU. I found the Rx580 to be ideal for my system but, it requires an 8-pin connecter while I have only a single 6-pin connecter. I read some articles that say you can ignore the other two pins and connect the 6 pins only but, I also heard it might cause some overload on the cable and cause some heating or crashes. Please recommend me something other than changing my PSU cause where I live the RX580 already costs a lot, so getting a new PSU would be difficult.

Hi everyone,im just another victim of a messed up rx 580,I used it for like 10 days and it was working perfectly fine and on low temps, but suddenly all sort of crashes were happening once a slight load was put on the gpu,I've been trying to troubleshoot it for a month now, tried a lot of drivers and nothing worked, and the only solution left was trying different bios's,but i still can't find the right one, some bios's allow me to get to desktop, but evrytime i clean and reinstall different drivers, still the same screen flickering and driver timeouts, any helpp?I really can't afford a new gpu rn

I currently use a Sapphire Nitro+ rx580 8gb. The card is still working great for me but during black Friday game sales I have picked up some newer games on the cheap, such as Hogwarts legacy. At the moment my current driver is the 23.9.2 version, should I update to the 23.11.1 driver or find a different maybe more legacy driver, to get the best performance in these newer games. For the time I will just continue with what I have without knowing if there are better drivers or not. cheers.

anyone know if i can run 2 rx 580s with a 550 watt psu. the cards draw around 100 watts each but not sure if its a false read or something. and cpu draw isnt crazy high either. so would it be possible.

Yesterday, I decided to play Valheim for the first time and I was playing it for about a couple hours until my computer suddenly turned off. I went to check my graphics card because I assumed that a game would do that, and the graphics card was extremely hot. So I decided to wait a couple hours to cool down and reboot it. Nothing happened. I noticed when I unplugged my graphics card, then my computer was working perfectly fine. I am actually writing this post with my graphics card unplugged. To try and solve the problem, I removed my cpu cooler and cleaned my cpu, replaced it with new thermal paste. I unplugged my GPU and replaced the thermal paste on the chip as well because the thermal paste was dry and crackly. I put everything back in and my PC still wouldn't boot up with my GPU. Right now my GPU is flashing a solid red light essentially asking to be powered but when I do that my PC will not boot. I'm assuming that if the GPU is sending signals asking for power then it must be on and still working. What is the problem?

Basically i bought a broken card off a friend because it was cheap as dirt, now i wanna fix it, the card is a rx580 8gb xfx xxx edition, and originally was running sapphire nitro vbios, the card suddenly started showing weird glitchy effects on screen, my friend restarted the pc and the card fully stopped outputting video, now i have it, i connected it, fans spin up, leds are on, but no output, i put it in the second slot and put my 1080 in so i can get a video output, the card was infact being detected by windows device manager as a connected gpu and showed up under the correct name, i flashed the vbios to the original ones and its still not working, also when taking out the gpu it was quite hot, hot enough where it was probably working, im suspecting whatever is connecting the video ports to the gpu is broken because the way he described the glitchy effects n stuff sounded like when you slowly disconnect something like a dvi port and the screen gets all messed up when its half connected. Important run down of information: Card does heat up, fans turn on and so do the leds, i flashed the vbios as it was running a modified one but it didnt fix it, device manager in windows does fully detect it as a connected gpu (using another video output), the only thing that doesnt seem to be working is the video ports, would be happy if any of you know a thing or two on these cards and how to check said problem, sadly i dont have a amp checker so i cant test the gpu for broken modules, will post pictures if needed (card has been opened before and warrenty has ended so i dont mind opening it up again TL;DR everything works fine on the gpu but no video output :(

I have a stupid question. I installed an RX 580 8GB. And will soon buy a new mainbort with a new Ryzen. {Because my current mainboard only has one PCI express slot, and i running a ryzen 5 1600X} I just wonder if I can use my old GTX 1050, which I still have lying around here, to fire monitor 2 & 3. Because I suffer from extreme loss of performance from these monitors. These should only run Discord, Chrome and Something like that. Would it be possible? So that I finally can play properly again? PS: sry for my bad Englisch, im from Germany and and only 18 years old ;(

I bought a second hand RX 580 8GB and the guy that sold it said that everything is ok with it even when I told him it s not working. I get 5 short beeps and 1 long beep, the gpu fans are spinning at 100% speed every time i turn on the pc and it seems like it doesn't post. Things i tried: Checked every connection in my pc about 50 times Putting the gpu in 3 different pcs Tried 2 different psu s, one with 600w and one with 750w Trying 2 different monitors Replacing the thermal paste CSM enabled boot Tried to see if it gets detected in a pc with integrated graphics CPU The pc i want to use it in: Motherboard:A320M-HDV CPU: ryzen 5 1600 RAM: Hyperx 8gb 2666mhz PSU: njoy agon 600 w but i always can switch it with a 750w one Is there a way to get it working? I missed trying something? Is is dead for good?

Hello, GPU upgrade question.. from Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8GB Nitro + on MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z 6gb worth in terms of streaming/gaming at the same time? Will it withstand 2 gb less? CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Box MB: Asrock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming-ITX/ac RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3000MHz (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) PSU: Seasonic Focus SGX-650 650W 80+ Gold SFX Monitor: LG 24MK600M-B Monitor 23.8" FHD Streaming software: OBS/SteamElements I know the RTX 2060 has better gaming performance (it also has GDDR6) but the RX 580 has 2Gb more VRam which I think is better to play more new games that will require memory for textures and the memory bus is 192bit of the first while the second 256. I also stream simultaneously from the same pc at 936p60fps-1080p (video output) from 1080p almost high settings and I have about 88 fps in COD Worzone with 580 8GB. So I'm afraid with the RTX 2060 6GB it might not stand the same. Is it worth upgrading from 580 8GB to 2060 6GB?

SPECS: Aorus B450 M 16Gb ddr4-2666 RYZEN 5 3400G 500GB wd blue nvme 4tb hdd seagate and wd black 2*RX 580 8gb ( one from Sapphire nitro+ and the other asus) warranty expired. 850 watt thermaltake psu 80+gold So I have two RX 580 8Gb that were working fine when suddenly my pc decided it would hard reset itself (meaning powered off by itself). When i restarted it the ASUS gpu wasn't detected. I tried switching pcie port but that didn't do anything. I looked and first there was a red VGA light on the gpu but i forgot to plug in power at that time. After i plugged in power it turned white but didn't boot neither did the fans spins. HELP please someone

Hi everyone, To put it in a short way, recently I had to format my hard drive and install a new windows on it (for reasons that I will detail below), but unfortunately since then I cannot install any gpu drivers, neither for my external GPU (an amd rx 580) nor for my internal GPU (an intell one), because every time I try to install the drivers, my display loses connection and turns dark, as if it were not connected to anything, and the only way to recover from this issue is to start the windows on safe mode and uninstall the previously installed gpu drivers, because if I don’t do this, as soon as I turn my computer on and the windows logo disappear, my screen will turn dark. Unfortunately without installing the drivers my resolution is capped at 800x600 and there are some weird things happening also, as in, my gpu only appears on the device manager list when I start the windows on safe mode, because if I start my computer on the "normal mode", my gpu will not appear on the device manager list, and the only gpu that appears on the "normal mode" is named "microsoft basic display driver". I already tried upgrading my bios drivers (my board is an Asus H97m-e), as recommended in some forums I read, but as soon as my computer restarts it gets stuck on an "American Megatrends" screen. Optional Text (its just me trying to explain why I installed a fresh windows): This issue started 2-3 day ago, after I updated my windows from the 20h1 version to the 20h2 version, after finishing the update I thought it went on successfully, since I was able to use the computer for a couple of hours, but after those couple of hours of use, I went to sleep and when I woke up my display was off (as if it were not connected to anything but my keyboard was responsive, since the caps lock light could turn on and off), and after various restarts my display would always turn off after the windows logo (as it happens now when I try to install gpu drivers), I tried to use the startup repair option on startup but unfortunately it also didn’t work, as it told me that the automatic repair couldn’t repair my pc and to check the following log file "C:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt", when I did check the file it basically told me that it was unable to find out what was wrong. I also tried booting from safe mode but it was giving me an "critical process died", after not being able to find any solution the only thing I thought I could do was install a fresh windows, which is still giving me errors after trying to install any gpu driver. Does anyone know the solution/ possible solutions for this issue, sorry for the long text and for the probable bad English, since it’s not my main language. Thanks in advance, and any help would be great.

so around 5 years ago i bought my first pre built (I know I have regrets) and the specs are Intel Core i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 made by HP 16gb of ram HP 2b4b motherboard it came with a janky 500 watt power supply but recently swapped it for a EVGA 600 BR (thought it would solve my issue) recently I was gifted a gigabyte Radeon rx580 8gb but when I installed it I completely lost functionality of my pc. the card slows down my pc till its basically un unusable, when I manage to get games running they run at a even lower fps than my 960 I've pretty much tried everything to do with drivers updated it would be very helpful if someone could help me resolve this issue before i spend money on a new board and ram and possibly a new CPU

About a week ago my PC randomly turned off while I was on a Rust server. Since then the PC doesn’t boot with my GPU hooked up to the motherboard. When I boot it without a GPU, I can’t get a signal from the integrated graphics so im kind of stumped here. I’ve had the same PC build for about two years now and was able to get the integrated graphics to work at some point. I have a brand new power supply since that was what I assumed the issue was. My specs are: MB: Aorus B450 Pro Wifi GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 RAM: 16GB DDR4 PSU: EVGA 600W

I am going to start off by saying that its more of a sentimental choice than straight out being too broke for an upgrade. Over the years I swapped out everything, except the old ASUS motherboard and the intel cpu. By my calculations next summer my lil pc potato will be ten years old. Four years ago my power source unit gave out, thankfully without damaging anything or setting my room on fire. two and a half years ago my old HDD died so i swapped it for 2 SSD's, 18 months ago i swapped out my old AMD Radeon 290 with the RX 580 8gb and half a year ago i swapped the old ram sticks into 16gb. The last part to get changed was the pc case because i wanted to be somewhat fashionable and have some RGB's. While rewiring my motherboard to the new case I made some mistakes and after pressing the power on button i saw little white smoke rising and the smell of burning plastic. some of the new case RGB wires burned for the rear fan. turns out the motherboard is so old H81M-D that it doesnt have enough (power sockets?) i rewired it correctly (without rgb) and it works like a charm. I didn't set out to take my pc on a Ship of Theseus type of journey, it all started with small failures and fixes and then trading in my gpu and getting a new one for only 120eu instead of 320+ or so because it was on sale with a huge discount at that time before the price rises. By my estimate over these 9 years, the original and new part prices add up to around 1100-1200 euros for having a "decent" computer. I still use my old 1080p sony tv, so if i wanted to upgrade i would need to buy a new tv or monitor + the actual new pc. And now onto the sentimental side. This was a gift (in cash) from my grandmother and the rest of my family and i still want to imagine that it is the same gift from all those years ago. I wont upload photos because its more of a story to be proud of than a thing to show off. Good day to all of you and I wonder if anyone also has Theseus type toaster stories they can share about.

Hi, I'm trying to get an RX 580 to work with a Dell Precision 7810. GPU seems to power up but computer won't boot. Computer works fine when I switch back to the previous GPU. The old GPU that still works with it is an AMD R5 430 2GB. I even used it when checking for BIOS updates and also looking at current settings in the BIOS. This dell also comes with an 825W PSU, 2x E5-2637v3 3.5GHz CPUs, 64GB of Ram, and a 512 Storage drive. The RX 580 looks like it powers up and the PSU is more than capable of powering it. Currently connected into the same PCI-3x16 slot that the R5 430 was in (Slot F from Electrical Overview). Here is the power cable I bought to connect the GPU to the power supply. I tried getting back into the bios today using the old GPU so I could share my current settings and any changes I've made, but for some reason the computer won't let me access bios right now. As a final note, I know the computer is compatible because I know someone with the same computer running an RX 580. The main difference is he has a linux based OS and I have windows 10.

Hi guys. Im planning to upgrade my brothers rig on a very tight budget. He is currently using a core i3 3220 and gt 730. 2x4GB ddr 3 1600 ram and a 330w power suply (and he couldn't tell me the exact motherboard model) also his monitor is 1366x768p (i know. Right?) He was mainly doing the upgrade JUST to play battlefield 5. And is not planning to upgrade the monitor. My suggestion was to just upgrade the graphics card to a rx580 and cpu to a i7 3770 (non-k. I don't think his motherboard supports overclocking) to avoid having to upgrade the motherboard (and also to a ddr4 ram). Here are my questions : 1 - Is this CPU going to bottleneck the GPU a lot? (I've seen gameplays of a 6-core ryzen 2600x + rx580. The CPU utilization was 30 to 40 percent. And the cinebench multi-core score was 1600 (3770) to 3000 (2600x)) Here is the link to that video: 2 - what power suply does he need? I know he can't use the 330w. But i found a good deal on a used 480w silver unit that's half the price of a 600w unit. Is it going to be enough? Or should he bite the bullet and spend twice as much on the PSU? (no overclocking. no rgb. And wierdly, no case fans ) 3 - is 8 gig still enough? Or shuld he buy another 4GB stick to have 12GB total? 4 - is intels, stock heatsink good enough for that 77w CPU (without ability to be overclocked)
