Hi! I have Sapphire Nitro+ RX 5700 XT Special Edition GPU and i was offered a trade for Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3060 Gaming OC (12Gb) GPU. I Havent used many Geforce GPUˇs at all, i have been AMD fanboy for a long time, so i wanted to ask from people who maybe have more experience wiht both cards. Is there much performance difference and so on? Should i trade or is RX 5700 XT SE still better to keep? Thanks in advance

Hello everyone, I own my GPU for a while now, but I have not played many games... until now. Recently I wanted to give GTA V a try and downloaded it from the Epic Games store (got it for free). I was able to play the game with no issues for a while, but at some point there always appeared those weird crashes. My monitor turned green (or black), my mouse and keyboard stopped working and my PC decided to reboot on it's own. The first thing I did was doing research on my problem on Google, found a thread on the AMD forum discussing exactly my problem. Here is the solution I tried: https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/rx-5700xt-green-screen-crashes/m-p/142074/highlight/true#M34674 It changed basically nothing, I wiped out all AMD Drivers and installed the recommended driver but everything stayed the same and my problem continued. I didn't want to give up, so I decided to try a few other methods. I activated the "AMD Ryzen High Performance Mode" in the Windows settings, again this changed absolutely nothing. I tried to wipe out all existing AMD drivers from my PC again and install the newest drivers recommended by AMD. Again, this changed absolutely nothing. The last thing I did was updating my BIOS from Version F40 to F62a... And yup you guessed it, nothing has changed. I don't know what else to try at this point, I thought the new AMD drivers would fix those problems but they didn't work for me. Many people on the thread from the AMD Forum fixed their problem by following the steps, but it didn't work for me. Do you guys have any other tips? I'd be super grateful. Here are my specs: GPU: 8GB Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600 Mainboard: Aorus B450 Elite (https://www.gigabyte.com/de/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-1x/support#support-dl-driver) PSU: 600W be quit! I've been troubleshooting a problem where my PC would boot and operate slowly but only sometimes. Slow boot and poor performance would start the moment I would press the power button, monitor would stay blank for several seconds and then the motherboard (Prime Z590-A) ASUS logo would slowly load to my screen. And when entering BIOS it would be so sluggish that mouse navigation is not possible because there is a 2-3 second delay when moving mouse cursor. If I would continue to boot in this state programs and games would take ages to load and the FPS in games would be horrendously poor. And if I would reboot there is a chance that it would boot just fast and normally and no problems whatsoever. Because the problem extends to BIOS and loading ASUS logo it would certainly be a hardware issue. I replaced RAM's to brand new and tried with different hard drive. My friend gave me a tip that I could remove my RX5700XT and use integrated graphics. I tried that and sure enough the boot was lightning fast every single time and it worked just fine. So I tested my old AMD 6950 to see if the PCIe bus is somehow broken or bad settings on it, that was not the case as the 6950 was also booting fast and working just as expected. So in 99% certainty the problem would be the RX5700XT, right? It has warranty left on it so I could return it but I am very curious to know what on earth could cause the GPU to be broken like that that it would cause problems but only some boots? Memory on it is somehow broken or what?

So my RX5700XT was running kind of hot at stock configs , while being super loud at the same time. ~70c junction and up 95c hotspot while fans spinning at around 2200 RPM. I have be quiet pure base 500dx fully populated by fans so airflow is great in this case. I've followed couple of UV/OC guides on the internet and unless i increase power limit to like +20% OC just doesnt hold . If i do let the card draw as much power as it wants i'm back at 70/100c , even over that sometimes so UV doesnt help in any way. After a while I just settled to UV alone at 1900/1000 which puts me at ~60/80 territory with minimal loss in performance and minimal reduction in fan speeds. But i really dont get whole OC/UV thing then actually, as it is supposed to reduce temps and increase performance. Either i lost the silicon lottery or is this how these cards just are or i 'm just missing something here ( which is entirely possible as this is my first attempt at OC/UV GPU ) .

So when i load up something heavy like warzone the computer screen goes black and resets. No blue screen and as if i turned it off myself. However i found out with my RX 5700xt when i undervolt the gpu the crashes dont happen this puts a cap of voltage 1150mV when before 1200mV would be the max it would go and around when the crashes start. This below is the psu i had, wondering if this can have a factor. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/thermaltake-smart-700w-atx-80-plus-power-supply-black/6339087.p?skuId=6339087 These below are ones that i have found. Are any of these 3 good or have any to reccomend. I know best buy isnt ideal when computer parting but i want to stick to it outta of convenience for pickup so if you recommend send me one with fast shipping or at best buy. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-mpg-a750gf-750w-atx-80-plus-gold-psu-power-supply-black/6447783.p?skuId=6447783 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-rm-series-750w-atx12v-2-52-eps12v-2-92-80-plus-gold-modular-power-supply-black/6356248.p?skuId=6356248 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/evga-br-series-700w-atx12v-eps12v-80-plus-power-supply-dc-dc-technology-black/6346160.p?skuId=6346160

Im not sure where to post this, so I had posted it in Graphics Cards and CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory topics. Am I missing something? Anyway, the things I've tried: RMA'd the Gigabyte GPU, they had tested it for multiple hours and no problems. Tested the GPU with a friends PC and his system is allot older than my setup and lesser PSU capacity. (650 think it is, but OS is also win10 x64 home) Two seperated PSU cables. Older drivers. From last year, it freezes/BSOD/green screens/reinstalled windows. but with win10-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-2019-edition-19.8.1-aug12 it gives BSOD. (I'll type it later) Another friend of mine has the same setup and no problems. (he came up with lowering RAM speed to 3066 MHz which became stable with the nvidia card) DDU it offcourse in safe mode. Updating GPU driver via windows without internet and searching it on the computer. win10-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-2019-edition-19.8.1-aug12 it gives BSOD, after running cyberpunk 2077 to see if the videocard was able to run it, because with the friend of mine we tested DOOM eternal and there were no problems. Ive ran some other games, no problems. After rebooting it gives a BSOD or not booting, or checking the windows SSD files.... So I recently bought a new pc and was going to start gaming, but I had a few issues. I bought a Crosshair hero 8, 16gbs of ram and an Rx5700 xt Strix. My cousin was going to give me a CPU so I did not bother looking for one. When he got to my house he had a R5 1400 processor which is not compatible with the MB. So to not go to a complete waste until the other CPU arrives, I thought why not put it in my old system(when I say old I mean Old). I get a black screen on boot to windows every time. After looking on some forums I found a way to boot. I need to make the PC boot using the internal GPU and use the rx5700xt as the gaming gpu. But there's a problem. Games are pretty lagy and it's not only the processor bottlenecking the card. When I open up a game the GPU clock and vram don't ramp up to the target and I get lots of FPS drops. Can someone help me? Old system specs: CPU: FX 8320E MB: Asus M5A78L-M / USB3 MEM: 8GB corsair DDR3 PSU: EVGA 600b bronze

Hello everyone, I am having problems with my brand new PC that I have just built. The first problems that I noticed was stuttering while playing Modern Warfare. Sometimes it wasn't as bad as others but it generally stutters when I run through a door, get into a gunfight, jump out of a vehicle, etc, even when I have turned down my graphics and I get 100+ frames consistently. It has crashed a few times before while playing Warzone but an update of my drivers seemed to fix this. However, a new issue has now arisen. I have been trying to play the Beta of CoD: Cold War but usually about an hour into my session my screen will go green for a few seconds and my computer will automatically reboot. From my research online I have figured that a green screen crash is attributed to some sort of graphical error. The solution that I tried and hoped would work was using DDU to remove my drivers and then installing the latest driver. When that did not work, I used DDU again and then installed driver version 19.12.1 as I had read somewhere that someone had some success with it, however, this didn't work. So, I used DDU again and reinstalled 20.9.1 which seemed to help at first but now its back to the same old green screen crash. I thought that maybe this was a bug in Cold War and would be fixed after the Beta as I have noticed a few other people posting online about it. I realized this was not the case when I was playing a (really crappy) game called Infestation: Survivor Stories for old times sake. After about 1 hour, it green screened. I have monitored my gpu and cpu temps and they never seem to go above 70-80, I will post a log from realtemp here soon. The only thing I have noticed that is common between Cold War and ISS is that my GPU utilization usually sits around 95-100% all the time. Is this normal? Regardless, I am REALLY HOPING that someone has a fix for this other than 'use DDU and try the latest drivers' because that is clearly not working. Specs: GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (MSI) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Help me Linus Forums, you are my only hope.

Hi, as the title suggest, should I get the Aorus one (which is slightly expensive) or the Gaming OC one? My local store has both of them on-sale currently. I'm thinking of getting one. Regards, Chiyawa.

Specs: R5 3600X 8x2gb 3200 DDR4 RX5700XT Sapphire Pulse Cx550M Hey guys I bought a second hand rx5700XT from a local seller and it's a upgrade from my 5 year old RX580 8GB, expected for 90~100% improvement in performance. Benchmarks significantly improved in performance, normal clocks voltage and temps. But in most games I play in 1080p, it's stuck at around 30-40% usage, and in valorant around 8-10% usage without boost in gpu clocks. I play with a 240hz monitor and it won't go up over 40% in all games except benchmarks. Reinstalled drivers with DDU, v sync all disabled, tried on/off AMD smart access memory (no changes), freesync premium off. Have no idea what to do thanks.

Hi guys, Is it worth upgrading to a ryzen 7 5800x3d? It's on sale now for 369 euros where I live. Currents setup: Rx 5700xt Ryzen 3600 (on a MSI b450m mortar max) 32GB 3200mhz RAM Corsair rm650 psu I use a 240mm rad for cpu cooling. I've seen the cpu can do some good stuff to frametimes and stuttering and I know it likely won't do much to average FPS if at all. Maybe its possibly a good deal for when I want to upgrade to a new gpu in a couple of years. Games that I am currently playing: Warzone League of legends Rocket league Overwatch Some other AAA games like Cyberpunk, RDR, Uncharted, Tomb Raider. So what is your opinion? I'm temped by the new price.

Hello I bought a used RX5700XT sapphire 8GB on a local website. Seller said it wasn't used for mining, only gaming so I bought it to replace my rx580. Having issues since, playing 1080p games the card won't utilize fully only around 80-90 fps in GTAV max, vsync off and I have a 240hz monitor. The utilization is around 30-40%. In CSGO it's even worst 3-4% utilization with 120-160 fps even worse than my rx580. Seems to be a legit card, tried flashing bios but doesn't work. And the TRINXXX software doesn't not identify my card, but hwinfo, gpuZ and official AMD Radeon software all does. What is happening?

I have a 1060 and Rx5700xt. I am using the 1060 currently because I am living in a place I am not sure of the power/ electricity stability and leakages. I get enough FPS in most games on my 240hz monitor. I don't have money now to buy a new gpu, at least for a few years. Which GPU should I use daily? I want to save one of them for the future as well. Just in case.

Hi all, I'm trying to get my head arround this... I build my new rig yesterday: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor MEM: Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200 C16 MOTHERBOARD: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT Red Dragon SSD M.2: Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2 SSD PSU: AeroCool Xpredator 750M But i have a issue with my hdmi connection to my tv (UHD 4K Samsung) When i plug the displayport in to my monitor (UHD 4k, Samsung) it works great, plug in monitor and tv it also works but now the following: I cant select the tv as main monitor..when i do that everything just turns black. Expand: same I can make the tv the main monitor (i is it for gaming primarily). When i have the HDMI plugged in solo the tv says it no source..when i plug the displayport back in it turns on. If they both work and i turn of my monitor the tv screen goes black. Problem is i can make the tv the main desktopscreen and start games on it but some games just startup on the other monitor. Resultions: Monitor 3830x2160 @ 60Hz Tv: 1920x1080 @ 60Hz, in game i can change it to 4K Previously i had the tv and monitor connected via a gtx 970 and that just worked fine and i could do all the above Wondering if of you have a suggestion? Do i need to get a displayport > HDMI adapter? P.s. the hdmi cable is over 15 meters / 49 feet HDMI 2.0 but it never gave a problem -Edit: I found the issue, apparently the graphicscard does not like it when you have HDMI UHD COLOR on, turned it off an now i can select all the options. When i turn it back on: no signal and both screens go black...so problem solved

Hello, I have recently building my pc, but I have a problem, my GPU is extremely underclocked, even in "intensives" games: In aida64 extreme, when I made a stress test, the clock is normal. (But I have 1fps on my screen) I have the latest drivers installed.

Hi, I bought an rx 5700 xt a couple days ago and it performed well for some time but now I notice it stuttering and dropping frames drastically to like 5 fps ever minute or so. The drop only lasts a second or two. I've tried DDU and changing some settings but it still drops frames on games like Risk Of Rain 2 and FFXV. When it's stable, I get a high number of frames, but these drops are really distracting and make it hard to play. Specs are : B450 TOMAHAWK MAX Ryzen 7 3700x 2x8GB G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 MHz Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT

So I recently replaced my gtx1060 3gb with a rx5700xt and have run into a issue and would like some outside input as I am not extremely knowledgeable in computers. The problem is that when I play videogames the computer turns off with no warning I have measured the GPU and CPU temp and they are nowhere near the turn off point the power supply is more than enough to sustain the system. The pc need about 400w to run and I got a 550w psu but I still added 3 more fans to the case to improve airflow thinking it is a cooling issue but the issue has continued. Before replacing the GPU I had no problems so now I am thinking it might be faulty power supply or bad and driver's but heard the new drivers fixed the majority of the issues or psu is not sufficient for new gpu. Hello, I recently bought the Gigabyte RX 5700 XT GAMING OC. I had some driver issues after inserting it into my PC which is to be expected from AMD, but I managed to get everything working after all. There is one more issue left, that I can't find a solution for. The HDMI port doesn't seem to work correctly, I can't get a signal on my TV. Both my monitor and my TV worked with my GTX 970 and with onboard graphics but right after installing the driver I couldn't get a signal anymore after POST. I am able to enter the BIOS however but the signal is lost during boot. If I connect my TV when I am logged in to Windows sometimes the TV has a signal for a split second and then it goes black again. After my new monitor with Displayport arrived I thought it was just a problem with my old monitor but now I experience the same issue on my TV with all of my HDMI cables. So it seems to be a driver related problem or maybe defective hardware. I searched for AMD GPU users with the same issues, most ended up buying a RTX 2070 Super apparently. Does anybody know what to do? I'm kind of stuck here, thinking about returning the card as well Windows 10 Pro (Clean Install after removing the old GPU), i7 4790K @4,6 Ghz, Gigabyte RX 5700 XT GAMING OC, updated BIOS

Hello, I'd like to ask some question about my new rig. I did not find proper answers asking google, so I hope here I'll find some. First, my PC specs: 1.Motherboard: TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (wi-fi) /Bios set to performance mode, RAM overclocked to 3200MHz 2.CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X / Overclocked to 4200 MHz, but I really do not know how I did it 3.GPU: ASRock Phantom Gaming D OC AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, 8GB, PCI-E 4.0, GDDR6, 256it 4.HDD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 250GB, NVMe, M.2 (2280) 5.RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8GB DDR4 (3200MHz) 6.Monitor: Acer XF240H, I set it to 120Hz., Display resolution is always set to 1920x1080. 7.OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 8. Drivers: Windows 10 up-to-date, Chipset: last one from AMD website, GPU: last one from AMD website. Here are results from PassMark: https://www.passmark.com/baselines/V10/display.php?id=123900120538 Here are the questions: 1. Is it normal default fan curve of the GPU to be set to max 50% load. Some info: When installed and configured everything for the first time I run SOTTR benchmark on highest settings and all was fine. But when tried ultra settings the system crashed with no display signal. I tried several times to run the benchmark on ultra and either I got black monitor and having to reset PC or BSOD. I had installed ASRock gpu tweak software. Searching through the menus of both radeon and asrock software I noticed reduced fan load. I created my own fan curve allowing fans to speed up to max above 95C degrees hot spot (junction) temperature. After that SOTTR ultra settings benchmark run smoothly. Now I have ASrock tweak gpu software uninstalled. 2. Is it normal Radeon software adrenalin 2020 to crash occasionally? Some info: From time to time, normally when changing graphic settings during gaming, Radeon software crash and either I have to restart it manually or not but every-time it crashes fan curve under global settings is set back to default maximum of 50% fans load. Thankfully, specific game settings stay unchanged. Same situation with soft ver. 20.4.2(Stated as Optional) and ver.20.2.2(Stated as Recommended) 3. I know it is kind of a fuzzy question, but what settings to tune in order not to lose display signal in case of radeon soft crash. Some info. During AIDA64 stress test I got message (which unfortunately I did not remember, and never came back) that some setting about GPU crash is set to high and the program offered me to corrected it for me. I accepted it and consequently after radeon crash and lost display signal the display came back again by itself (reset to default settings) and I had not to reboot PC in order to get display signal again. After some other test inside AIDA64 I accepted another suggestion for corrective action and now after radeon crash I lose display signal and I have to restart PC. 4. Is it normal my GPU to be at almost full utilization when playing CS:GO with the following settings: V-Sync turned OFF, Monitor set to 120Hz, FreeSync ON. Some info: I got between 300 and 400FPS. The game runs smoothly, but because of the high GPU utilization the fans are spinning high and it is too noisy. In order to correct that I turn ON the V-Sync and FPS during gaming is capped at 120FPS (matching monitor refresh rate). I am not a professional gamer so I am fine with 120FPS. 5.Another "strange" question: Why the following happens: During Shadow of the tomb raider play with ultra settings AND PC set to duplicate screen to another display (my old TV with max of 60Hz refresh rate, which by the way stays turned off during gaming) the game runs smoothly with constant 60FPS and about 50% GPU utilization and consequently quiet environment. But when PC is set to project only to my monitor, even with exclusive full screen mode and refresh rate manually set to 60FPS the game is running at 60FPS but GPU utilization is high and fans are very noisy of course. *Some explanation about CPU overclocking. I have installed Asus AI Suite 3 and I've run "Auto system level up" that I believe change some CPU settings. By the way AI suite 3 stays turned off and I use it only when I need to configure case fans. At the same time I have applied "Game mode" + "Precision Boost Overdrive" settings within Ryzen Master software. So in total I am not sure which settings are in effect and how they interfere with each other. Thank you for your attention.

Hello! My history with this particular card (RX 5700 XT Sapphire NITRO+) has been an... interesting one. I am assuming that my problems are driver-related, as AMD is notorious for their drivers, but something feels different about this occurrence. Before, it was a few problems dealing with some particular games, notably Minecraft. It got fixed by rolling back the drivers, then updating to see when it was fixed in a new one. A few artifacts here and there lingered but then dissipated. Now, or should I say 20 minutes ago, is quite different and resembles an entire crash. I was in Siege with Vulkan enabled when, suddenly, my screen resembled more of those stereotypical crashes than a mere artifact. I had my Spotify playing and it never cut out- it played my music like everything was normal. It seems that Siege crashed in and of itself, though, indicated that my cursor was visible. When I dragged on my desktop with my cursor, I saw a glitchy selection area, same thing with hovering over taskbar icons and its respective highlight. I was able to find where my Discord was and I was able to send messages even though my screen was digital spaghetti. I even was able to safely shut down my system, pressing the Windows key and navigating the familiar menu, albeit glitchy, with my keyboard. Throughout this process, I felt like I was using echolocation to find what I needed to click. Now, my question is: could this be a driver issue like usual, or is this a sign that my card is failing? Radeon Software Version: 20.5.1 GPU: AMD RX 5700 XT Sapphire NITRO+ 8GB CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Motherboard: ASRock B450 Gaming K4 BIOS: P3.90 RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz Below I provide an image of the problem, a GPU-Z screenshot, and a text file of a CPU-Z readout of my system. Hope this helps, and have a good one! CPU-Z Export.txt

I got this card the previous week and tried to fix the problem but couldn’t When I check the benchmarks on YouTube i often see that the gpu’s usage is over 50% But when i use the same cpu and gpu the usage of the gpu stays 30% or less Everything is up to date I reinstalled the drivers, still nothing For example Gta v In the benchmarks they usually get 70-110 fps When i play gtav on the same settings i only get 50-70 fps I did a format for the entire pc I reinstalled windows so the pc would be fresh Still everything the same I need a quick help so if the problem is from the card i gotta refund it. I want to get the Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING OC and was wonder what the "OC" mean in gpus i'm guessing it means 'overclock' but does that mean that if i get it i won't be able to do anymore overclocking or it means that it lets me overclock? Can you enlighten me?
