Hello everyone, I have an idea for a build, and I am most definitely building in the RVZ02B. I fell in love with the look of that case and absolutely HAVE to build in it! Anyway, I plan to use a locked Skylake i5 and a GTX 1070. My concern, however, is airflow, and, as a consequence, temperatures. I plan to use the Arctic Freezer 11 LP as my CPU cooler, but if anyone has a suggestion for a better one at comparable price, feel free to suggest! Now to my real question: I had an idea to -- since I do not plan to use an optical drive or one of the two SSD cages in the case (decided on a single high-capacity SSD for storage) -- cut out a significant portion of the wall that separates the two chambers. Now, why would I do this? Well, I figured I could buy the Gigabyte Mini-itx GTX 1070, and then attach a Corsair SP120 High Performance fan to the other end of the GPU chamber vent where nothing is there to block it. That way, hot air from both chambers can be nicely exhausted (I chose the SP120 because there's a filter on the vents). My other option is to just forget modding and buy the Asus Turbo GTX 1070 and be done with it. So the final question: which setup would give me a net QUIETER load performance? I have heard the blower cards are loud, and one would think the active exhaust from my mod would help the CPU and GPU fans ramp down as well. But would adding the SP120 make those improvements null? Thank you guys so much! I look forward to the build, whichever I decide to do!

Hello there everyone, I was looking around and deciding parts on building a small form factor PC, in the end I decided to go with a Silverstone RVZ02 case, and as the title says, can a Vega 56 2.5 slot card fit inside of the case? I was putting the parts in PC Part Picker and the Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 card was one of the available choices, there was also the Nitro cards there as well, however they seemed to have run out of stuck (Yes I love Sapphire Graphics cards), all of these cards are 2.5 slot however from the looks of it the Silverstone Case can only fit up to 2 slot cards. Maybe someone would like to clarify, maybe someone who has worked with the Silverstone case, also I tried looking online but didn't find much results. Also if anyone is curious "Enable Compatibility Filter" was on. Also while I am here, I would like to speak about the SFX power supply I would have to buy for the Vega card. I was thinking about maybe this CORSAIR SF Series SF600 I looked up multiple forums about this kind of discussion and most people said around 600W, the Sapphire Graphics page recommends 750 however I can't really find a Power Supply around that many W that has good reviews on it. If someone has dealt with Vega in a small form factor case like the Silverstone RVZ02 then I would love to hear your experiences. Also if anyone is curious, this is the build that I got going so far. Also if anyone is wondering about the memory, it's something I already own from my old build that consists of a RX 480, a Ryzen 1700 and a NXZT Elite. Of course, any help would be appreciated and thank you.

I'm Upgrading my Galion build, I got most of the parts but now I can't decide on which of the three to pick from These are the choices I can get in my area. Silverstone RVZ03 Black or White both with rgb led front Advantage : Rgb front, can fit atx psu up to 140mm. Disadvantage : no windows, some side ventilation have no mesh filters RVZ02 Windowed version Advantage : clear vented windows, can attach carrying handle, Disadvantage : no filters, handles sold separately, have to use sfx psu. ML08 Black or white handled version Advantage : handle for easy carry, all vents have filters, Disadvantage : no windows, must use sfx psu, My build up till now Cpu: 2200G > upgraded to 2600 Motherboard : asrock b350 gaming itx/ac Storage : m. 2 250gb Samsung evo / 2.5inch wd Black 1tb Ram: corsair lpx 8gb 2666 cl15 > upgrading to 16gb if lpx ram comes in Cpu cooler: be quiet shadow rock lp with corsair rgb 120mm fan Gpu : zotac mini gtx 1070 8gb Psu: silverstone sfx 500w modular > not sure should I upgrade to 700w Case:RVZ01 > To be Decided......

Hi, I've been following LTT since 2012 but for some reason I never considered to join the forum. Anyway, my current rig is basically an ASUS ROG strix H270I, i7 7700k, hyperx fury 8bx2 RAM and a Gigabyte GTX1060 3GB VRAM. I have managed to maintain all these components untouched since Sept 2017, I mean: no major upgrade/repair needed since then. Just a few weeks back after updating my BIOS I noticed that my i7 was running pretty hot (50C idle, 95-100C in BF1 using geforce exp optimized preset), I noticed just because in the past i did not even bother to check. I thought it could be because of the update, after speaking and showing the system to a co-worker he said it could be because of the lack of air flow in my case (Cooler Master elite 110), he recommended to me to get a small AIO water cooler. After some browse in newegg and microcenter I decided to give it a shot with the Corsair H60 (I know, pretty basic), once installed my temps decreased only 5C... And while gaming the AIO fan is extremely loud (at least louder than my previous Noctua NH-L9). My coworker said that the case is the culprit... because the airflow is pretty limited. So he sold me his used Raven RVZ02, I like the build quality and everything, however, I had to go back to my Noctua cooler (which is not enough, it seems) and the highest temp that I get is 100C, sometimes 105, which according to Intel is the max allowed... I haven't find any way to fit my AIO there, which I am guessing will be "enough" Does anyone know/suggest any mod that can be done to this case (i spent just 30 bucks, since it was used) so I can fit my corsair H60? Am I totally screwed and my only option is to downclock my cpu? Thanks guys, I don't know if I will get any response but I felt better just by typing all my issues and frustration here

Hi! Just a headsup to people wanting to get the Silverstone ML08 or it's cooler brother the RVZ02. The tool-less drive bays will not fit standard 2.5" HDDs that are 9.5mm thick. Do your diligence and check your 2.5" HDD spec sheets before buying. I just bought a non-returnable 2.5" WD Blue that's standard thickness. pssh. I opted to install it TEMPORARILY in the GPU chamber. Will probably buy a FireCuda SSHD to replace.

Sooo, looks like I finally start to get closer to buying the mini-ITX build that I've been wanting for a while now. I just love these slim cases a lot for their looks and they seem very practical. So, what I have to throw in already: Intel i7 6700K Corsair Vengeance LPX Red, 2,133 Mhz, 2 x 8 GiB MSI GTX 980 Ti 6GD5 (Reference model) OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB And the parts that I'll be getting: Silverstone Raven RVZ02 (Not the windowed one) or Silverstone Milo ML8 (Haven't decided yet which one) Corsair SF600 Silverstone Argon AR06 CPU cooler Asus Z170I Pro Gaming Later on I might buy another i7-6700K and the same memory, this is with the intention to let de Mini-ITX run as a server at home with no dedicated graphics card, and when there's a LAN party coming up, just plug the GPU into it and take it with me with more ease than my aging Antec Ninehundred can offer. So, I only have two questions, first is with the limited options for PSUs, will I hit that 600 Watt limit easily on GPU overclocks or will it be plenty? And second, I read another builder actually recommend an open style cooler, because, and I'm just quoting: "It creates positive pressure in the case." But, isn't the card still in too deep to do this? Wouldn't a Blower cooler work better in this case? (Even though it likely creates negative pressure, which I guess makes the case suck in cool air into the side vents.) Also, sneaking in a third question, what are people's experiences so far with a 980 Ti or Titan X in this tiny case, did they get close to throttling heat or did they still have room for some overclocking?

Hey guys, i made a thread a few days ago asking for some help with my planned mini itx build and have pretty much all the parts sorted out besides the graphics cards, i will be taking the build to a fair few places but it will mainly be going between the UK and Thailand due to family and I'm a little worried about the heat inside my RVZ02 case. So basically Im torn between a Powercolor r9 390 or the mini Asus Geforce gtx 970 dcmoc. I know that the case supports the 390 and it has the 8gb of vram which i would be utilizing for higher textures in games like skyrim and fallout etc, however ive read that the 390 runs pretty hot which would only be antagonized by Thailands heat and humidity, not to mention the proximity to other parts within the small rvz02 case from silverstone. Anyone have any experience with this case and or graphics card/cards? I would mainly be gaming at 1080p which ive read the 970 is the better option overall but I'd like the future proof-nes (That even a word?) of the 390's vram.

Trying to find a CPU cooler for a Silverstone RVZ02 which has a cooler limit of 58mm. I'm restricted to a 92mm fan type or smaller for a few reasons. My motherboard is an EVGA Z87 Stinger and has a really tall VRM heatsink, I'm running high profile RAM and because I will be able to see inside the case for cosmetic reasons I don't want something blocking to much of my other parts. I know there is the Silverstone AR06 and Noctua NH-L9i that both fit and are capable coolers but I'd really like one that is black or black and red. The CPU is an i5 4670k. While I wont at first as I'll be testing temps in the case I'd like to try and run my current overclock of 4.2ghz @ 1.17v if possible but it's not deal breaking if the cooler won't handle it. I'd prefer something that looks appealing and fairly quiet as it will be on my desk and the only fan that will run consistently. Thanks

Hey guys, I'm building my first rig. I'd prefer to keep this PC in my living room as part of my entertainment centre so that's why I'm interested in possibly going small form factor instead of desktop. This PC will be for gaming, movies and every day productivity and will probably replace my PS4. My budget is around $1200 Canadian ($900 US). Here's my build so far with a standard desktop case http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/cW4ncf . If I go small form factor, I intend to use the same CPU and GPU (i5 6500, R9 380) with either the Silverstone RVZ02 case http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Technology-Mini-ITX-Computer-RVZ02B-W/dp/B0161UXXN8/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1454131927&sr=1-2&keywords=rvz02 or the Fractal Design Node 202 case http://www.amazon.com/Fractal-Design-Case-Cases-FD-MCA-NODE-202-AA-US/dp/B019955QV4/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1454127734&sr=1-1&keywords=node+202. So, here's what I'd like to know. Can building a pc in a mini itx case such as the Silverstone RV Z02 cause the GPU or other parts to overheat? Affect their lifespan? Will I get the same performance out of these parts in a mini itx case that I would in a desktop case? Could the compact size and lack of air flow affect performance? Is there something I need know regarding cooling and ventilation in these mini itx cases? What kind of power supply would I need? How many watts? Size and cable management aside, are there any other notable negatives? Also, if you have any suggestions regarding using different cases or parts, please let me know. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey, Been posting a fair amount of the same type of question lately so sorry if Im starting to sound like a broken record but I was wondering if the zotace gtx 980 ti AMP! Edition would fit inside the Silverstone Raven RVZ02. Ive seen pictures of people using EVGA's superclocked and AC+ version but no one using this card at all and i dont really trust amazon's product descriptions of the cards size.

Im currently looking at building a console sized machine I can game on while im away for 6 months. Its currently a toss up between either an a10 6800K black edition or an i5-4690K. It will be used with a 970 and only on a 1080p TV so im wondering will i be better off with the APU in terms of price to performance? If anybody is interested it will be going in either rvz01 or rvz02 (if its released in time) p.s. I fully intend to sell the build when I get back as I have no other use for it. TIA

Besides the CS series case, SilverStone also revealed the successor of RVZ01 case, the RVZ02, and confirmed the availability and price of another variant of the RVZ01, the FTZ01. The RVZ02 is similar in structure with the RVZ01, house a long graphics card in a slim and compact case. The RVZ02 measures 350mm x 350mm x 80mm, just 9.8 litres in capacity, it is 30 per cent more compact than the RVZ01. Made from reinforced plastic and steel, you can still install a slim ODD drive and two internal 2.5-inch drives ( hexus.net reported that you can externally mounted another 2.5" drive). And because of its slimness, the cpu cooler height is limited to only 60mm. Similar to its precessor, it uses a riser card PCI-e extender to install the graphics card. But different from the RVZ01, the RVZ02 has clear windows on the side panels, which revealed the motherboard/cpu portion and graphics card portion of the case. Interestingly both panels are interchangeable. SFX power supply is still required for the new RVZ02. FTZ01, on the other hand, is just a variant of the RVZ01, made from aluminium and has a natural white metallic finish. ( @Sonefiler posted a video from Tek Syndicate about this case back in Computex 2014, you can see it here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/167966-silverstone-releases-their-new-slim-case-ftz01/ ) The RVZ02 will be launched "sometime before Computex", and has a price tag of "less than $85", while the FTZ01 will cost $129, and will be available later this month.
