Hey guys, I have rented a VPS (Linux) right now but I'm kinda confused on how to upload files there and run programs on it. I have a plesk license for free but I don't know how to use it. So I downloaded WinSCP and managed to upload files to the server but couldn't run them. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Hey everyone, I'm bored and want to have it so when I start cmd from win+R it auto runs a echo command which will paint an image or show a preconfigured message (this is by just typing "cmd" into win+r, no extra syntax). So now you know my vision my problem. At the moment I am relatively well versed in batch but I have no clue how I would run a command automatically or how I would replace the phrase "cmd" with a batch file, etc. I'm sorry if this makes no sense I really don't know what I'm talking about. TIA (BTW I'm on windows 10)

Hello reader, I have a simple question of whether or not it is safe to run the Heaven Benchmark while my computer is sitting idle. I personally like the aesthetic of it and I think that it generally looks cool. I know this is used to benchmark so I came here in search of the answers. Thank you for taking your time to answer and have a nice day! Here's what my build is, in case that matters at all: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TcfkdX

I'm asking because I have a shit PC so for me almost every game runs shitty, but I'm getting a new PC tomorrow so that won't be a problem anymore, but I would like to know if the "Real" copies of the games run better than a pirated version of the same game?

The HPET in windows 10 causes issues like lag and micro stutter in some of my games, so I disabled it in the bios and in windows, but something keeps turning it back on (in windows, its always off in the bios). command: bcdedit /set useplatformclock false I tried making a .bat file with the command in it like so: @echo off bcdedit /set useplatformclock false pause And used the task scheduler to run it as an admin every time I log in, however even though the program starts up and appears to work correctly, it does not turn off HPET. Manually doing so, by double cicking the bat file work, however I would like to automate the process. Is there any other way I could run the above command as an admin every time I log on?

I am very inexperienced with stuff with internet. I have very bad internet speeds and was hoping to improve my speeds by maybe wiring an Ethernet cable from my router to my computer. I have an Asus RT‑AC68R. I have AT&T Uverse (ik its bad but I can't change it) I don't know what kind of cable I need and if it is even worth it. I have 18mbps download if I'm lucky and ~3 upload But during around 7:30-11 I am at around 11-13 mbps download and 1-3 upload. I'm not really interested in doing it in wall, just maybe hiding it in the hall corners or running it through the attic The internet also fluctuates and I don't have the best connection. Thats why I want to maybe get ethernet.

Hi guys, my question is simply this: do you guys think, the 4gb ASUS strix version of the GTX960 will be compatible with my current Gigabyte Intel Z68 Express Chipset Motherboard(intel). I'm just contemplating what to upgrade first, (ram, cpu, mboard) or gpu. I just want to play GTAV! The 960 is replacing a 570, and nothing else is changing for now, ram is staying the same at 8gb 1600mhz hyper x and cpu 2600k i7. My psu is true power 600w which should be sufficient. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also: on a side, note, Can I reuse my water cooler? I have a antec Kuhler 620. I should be able to just scrape off the thermal paste right? Thanks!

Over the last few weeks, I have found OCCT with error check enabled to be very helpful in finding a stable overclock for gameplay, however, I'd like some input on test settings, specifically testing duration and safety I've been stress testing my ASUS Radeon 7950 HD with the following test settings: Duration = 30 minutes Idle periods = 0 at beg., 0 at end DirectX version = DirectX11 Resolution = 1920x1080 Full screen = Enabled Error check = Enabled Shader complexity = 7 Memory used = Unchecked FPS limit = 120 fps Question #1: After you've found your relative core and memory "maxes" using tests of shorter duration, how long do you like to run the final tests in OCCT (with error check enabled) to make sure that things are truly stable during game play? Note: I think that 30 minutes in duration should be the minimum for final testing. Question #2: Using OCCT with error check enabled and with my settings listed above, how long in duration do you think I can safely run OCCT GPU stress testing? Thank you!

Hey guys! I've been playing NFSTR for the past 3 years. I played the THE RUN 7 times on Normal difficulty. Got THE RUN time 2:29 mins (7th time). I haven't used Reset on last 3 RUNS. So it was 3 or 4 months since I played THE RUN. So I decided to play THE RUN with Hard difficulty. Guess what, I got 2:10 mins with no resets! Oh I want to check whether it is the best time or not. And what is you RUN time and What is the difficulty level you played? Thanks! Edit: This time I played for 9 hours! b/w 1 hours I went out!

Also keep in mind that i'm not really an expert at these stuff so i don't really know a bunch of things Soon, im going to be building a PC and i have a basic idea of which parts i want to include in my rig. I'm missing some parts that i don't know enough to pick by myself so please do make a suggestion. Oh and i don't know if the parts are all compatible or not so.... if there's something wrong with the parts PLEASE do remind me, thanks. Oh and i will be using this mainly for gaming and some homeworks here and there. My budget will be around $1500 - $2000 Parts i already have: Keyboard, mouse, mousepad, headset, and a USB to wi-fi receiver thing. Planned to buy: Case: Corsair C70 Motheboard: ? (help!) GPU: ASUS Geforce DirectCUII GTX 770 2GB RAM: 2x4gb (brand? help!) CPU: Intel i5-4670k Storage: 250gb SSD + 500gb HDD (brand? help!) CPU cooling: heatsink (help!) Monitor: ASUS VG248QE (can my PC run it?) PSU: ? (help!) As you can see, i have some parts missing that i don't know what to buy. My Samsung Galaxy s3 is using up a bunch of ram even though there are no apps running. I downloaded android task killer and stopped all the apps i could, yet I still only had around 400MB free of the 1.5gb on the device! If anyone has some tips, or could tell me if this is just happening to me that would be nice. The phone heats up easily and lags on games like temple run so I am feeling very disappointed in it. My brother has a nexus 4 and it does not lag or heat up as easily, so idk.
