Hi! Basically I'm considering some new(used) mobile workstations, I currently run a T450 for anything light and a TERRIBLE dell inspiron gaming with a 1050ti for heavyer stuff (although it iddles at 85°c so it's basically slower than the t450). At the moment i'm considering two (now three) options: option 1 comes with an i9-10885H and a quadro T2000 option 2 comes with an i7-8850H and a quadro p3200 option 3 comes with an i7-9850H and a quadro RTX3000 option 1 and 3 also come with a bigger ssd but I don't realy care since i can stuff both machines with 2 or 3 extra drives if needed. option 1 and 3 are around 40 to 50% more expensive than option 2. option 1 comes with slighty more troubles but i can manage. option 3 has 64gbs of ram compared to the 32gbs of the other 2 options at first an i9 two gens newer plus a more recent gpu sounded like a no brainer but then i realized that: the p3200 is older buth a tier higher (6gb against 4gb just to quote one difference in which it seems to come on top) and that the i9-10885H doesn't have such a colossal advantage against the i7-8850H despite what the naming would let you think edit: added newely found option 3, loses a bit of cpu power in exchange for a better gpu and free ram. option 1 and 3 are probably still better than option 2 but i doubt they are 40% better, what's your opinion?

Hey guys, I recently built 2 PCs for me and my little brother. Both run RTX 3070 cards from different OEMs. Im not an experienced builder so I dont know if I did anything wrong during the building or the setup process. Both machines seem to work fine but the in game FPS are far away from what I have read in the reviews. I run my games on a 2560x1080 monitor and my brother on a 1080p one. I have checked 3 games so far: (all on 1080p ultra) Rainbow Six Seige: 75-110 fps CoD Warzone: 80-130fps The Forrest: 80-100fps My freind gets about the same results with his 1660ti !! According to benchmarks I should get 300+ FPS (Rainbow Six) https://www.gpucheck.com/game-gpu/rainbow-six-siege/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070/amd-ryzen-7-3800x/ultra My Specs Are: CPU: R7 3800x MOBO: Asus X470 prime pro GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 vision OC RAM: 32GB 3200Mhz Corsair Vengeance pro rgb PSU: Thermaltake 850W 80 gold certified SSD: Crucial P1 1TB (Bootdrive and games) HDD: 3TB WD AIO: Corsair H100i platinum SE My brothers PC: CPU: R5 3600x MOBO: Asus prime x570-p GPU: MSI RTX 3070 VENTUS OC 3X RAM: 16GB 3600Mhz Corsair Vengeance pro rgb PSU: Gigabyte Aorus 750W 80 gold certified SSD: Kingston 500GB (bootdrive) Crucial MX500 1TB (Steam library) AIO: Corsair H100i Platinum Both are fresh windows 10 installations Both run the latest game ready driver 461.92 Both PCs run the latest Bios. The cards arent overheating / thermal throttling. 60-70C. Power settings are set to performance Powerlimit is set to 100% (max) and temp. limit to 84C. in Afterburner. According to GPU-Z both cards are using the correct PCIe interface: 16x 3.0 on mine and 16x 4.0 on my brothers PC V/G-Sync is turned of since ther is no point if i run lower fps than my monitors Refreshrate (144hz) Also Nvidia Reflex is turned of bc that made the performance actually worse by like 20 fps (warzone only) Utilisation also seems to be ok according to Task-manager And now I am at a point where I have no Idea what else I could check in order to figure out the issue. Sorry If I have made some mistakes. English is not my first language. Thanks in advance

Hello, I am at my wits end about what's wrong with my current build. The Symptoms: When playing Escape From Tarkov my graphycs drivers would die and system would become wery slugish and unresponsive. My screens would go black for few seconds and most application that were using the GPU would not render anything. This would only happen in Tarkov so I assumed it was a Tarkov issue. Then it started happening when I was running Unity Edditor and training AI using the ML agent toolkit. So I assumed it was bad RAM. Following my line of thought I tested my RAM using Memtest86, Prime95 and TM5. All were good. I reinstalled Windows. I didn't have time to play Tarkov but now 3 days in a row Windows would crush. It wouldn't respond to continues key presses. I couldn't open any application from the tesk bar but already open application would work. The seach function wouldn't work. The start menu would open but Power option wouldnt open. The only way to get out of this state is to hard shut down using the power button. What's wirder is that CRTL+SHIFT+ESC wouldn't work. I've checked Event Viewer and the only thing I can see is: Event Id: 27 Intel(R) I211 Gigabit Network Connection Network link is disconnected. Event ID: 10016 The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} and APPID {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402} to the user DESKTOP-0EQOCI1\Gimli SID (S-1-5-21-423614-1977640308-2967982529-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. I see about 15 events with ID 10016 Hard to see but firefox crushed with the top section being white: I needed to restart the PC to get it going again: PC Specs: BIOS version: Version 3602 Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thank you,

Hi, About 2 months ago I bought a TUF RTX 3080 card, the card has worked without any problems so far. A few days ago I did a 461.40 driver update via GeForce Experience and suddenly the card was not recognized by the computer. First, an exclamation mark started appearing next to the video card in the device manager. When I try to update the driver again later, I could no longer enter the settings section and the home page on GeForce Experience, although I did update and install but I constantly get the installation screen. First I loaded and updated GPU BIOS via ASUS website. There was no change. Then I did a clean installation by completely removing the drivers with DDU, but again nothing changed. I installed the ASUS GPU tweaker II application but it also gives a no driver error. Corsair iCUE and ASUS Armory Crate apps do not see the graphics card. I wonder if the problem is hardware related? Should I take the card to the service? I would be glad if you could help. Respects.

Seems too good to be true, I know, but with the circumstances there were enough indicators to suggest it COULD be real (and I already bought it so we'll see). I determined it was worth the risk given the seller's small but good reputation and the fact China is cracking down on crypto currency mining. So it's reasonable to think it could be a miner getting rid of a card. But then there's all of this weirdness. They had another less powerful card with a similiar pricing scheme, except they had it as $11,000 for shipping. The rest of their listings were shorts...like the clothing. And not too long after I bought the card the listing closed despite supposedly having more cards. I don't have a way though to tell whether or not the listing was closed by the seller or got flagged as a scam like all those cheap phillipines gpu listings they say they're removed when you click them. And actually, looking again there are now several more similar listings from other hong kong users. Anyway, last thing is the guy I bought from also closed ALL of their other listings as well. I really don't know what to think. They're certainly a weirdo if not a scammer.

Budget (including currency): Rs. 2,00,000/- (approximate: 2500$) Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant, Fortnite, Apex, COD etc, work: lot of android studio, adobe photoshop, after effects etc Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey guys, I was looking to build a pc this year(within the next 2 months) and I'm really bad at choosing most of the parts. Specs needed: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x GPU: I'm not sure yet (leaning towards rtx 3060) Motherboard: after a lot of google search decided on MSI mag x570 tomahawk WIFI (any other suggestions) RAM: Minimum 32GB at 3600Mhz (was looking at corsair RGB pro series) PSU: after a quick google search I figured 750w 80 plus gold should be enough but still not sure Monitor: LG 32inch 144hz monitor 2k(already own this: LG-32GK650) SSD: is needed but not sure how much, maybe 500gb of m,2? I don't know actually... HDD: need at least 2TB of storage for games and work (7200rpm) Cooler: I think a basic AIO should be enough(corsair H100i aio), but any better suggestions? Case: I need a white case that will go good with the present workspace, I had corsair 4000x in mind. (not able to find anything else good in a low budget) I don't own any pc parts presently so need to buy everything from scratch (except Monitor, keyboard, mouse) I am upgrading from a HP pavilion laptop specs: Intel Core i5-8250U, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX, 16 GB RAM 2400Mhz, 60hz display For reference I get around 55-60 fps on Valorant on lowest settings. It would be nice if someone could guide me as I can't upgrade for the next 3-4 years min Sorry for my bad English Thank you for your time and help!

Hi All, So I recently finished my build and got some time yesterday to play around with my PC. I noticed right out of the box, my RTX 3090 FE was underperforming compared to the benchmarks/scores people have posted to forums. Here my PC specs: CPU: Ryzen 5900X (Stock) Cooler: NZXT X63 Ram: GSkill Tidentz NEO 3600MHZ SSD: Samsung 1 TB EVO PLUS GPU: RTX 3090 FE (Installed in PCIE first slot with Gen 4) Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VIII Hero X570 PSU: Corsair RM1000X Case: NZXT H710 I change my GPU's power management to: "Prefer high performance" and results improved a bit, but I am still not able to achieve 60 FPS 4k lock in games where I should. Here is the timespy's best result (graphics only) with a very aggressive fan curve: 19,165 With out of the box setting: 19,020 AC:O Setting: 4k, Ultra high Issue: FPS drops to 54 during open world gameplay Control: Setting: 4k, DLSS: 1440p, RTX - High, Graphic- High Issue: FPS drops to 50 during any action/new area I am not sure what the issue is.... max temp for GPU is 69 with default fan curve... Thanks for your inputs!

It has been over 2 months since Nvidia pulled the RTX 30xx FE series from their own store, and in the US they assigned BestBuy to sell them. In Europe however, we still have NO way of buying a Founders Edition card. Nvidia still hasn't assigned a store in Europe so they could send all of their stock to the US, instead of sharing a bit to Europe. This means that to this day, even official retailers in Europe are selling RTX 30xx cards at scalping prices. Not to mention a lot of people would really like a Founders Edition because of their (in my opinion) very nice design. Also, their statement was that they would find a solution for European customers soon (which was a lie), instead of just saying that Europeans couldn't buy FE cards (which would be bad for PR) Nvidia just gives no fucks about ANY customers outside the US/Canada. And I'm seriously considering to just buy an AMD gpu at this point, they have been returning to normal prices in Europe, even though they launched later than Nvidia's cards! TL;DR: Nvidia fucks Europe over, Europe says fuck you Nvidia!

Hi Guys, I've been recently thinking of this config in terms of desktop. Does this kind of combination make sense in terms of efficiency of gameplay? I mean i7-9700K + RTX 3090? I found a comparison of it with Radeon VII and with even greater CPU i9-10900K I see the Nvidia + intel accelerate better. Do you have any other views guys? https://www.gpucheck.com/en-usd/compare/amd-radeon-vii-vs-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3090/intel-core-i7-9700k-3-60ghz-vs-intel-core-i7-9700k-3-60ghz/ultra/ultra/-vs-

Note: This news article is incorrect, since Nvidia announced the GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB of VRAM, on their Game On event. I will contact staff of the LTT forum and ask if this post can be removed.

Hi everyone, A bit of backgroun: I built my computer about a year ago, but delayed buying a new GPU, in anticipation of the next generation - the one coming out now. I have two GPUs currently; I have been using one for a hardware passthrough to a windows VM, though I have not been using it much recently. Since my current main GPU is a Asus Strix GTX 960, I know that either vendor's new cards would be a significant upgrade, but I know that sometimes one brand works better than the other. Note that my other GPU is a XFX Radeon HD 7870, which is comparable to the GTX 960, but does not work nearly as well in my current system for some reason. I have been seeing tearing on my GTX 960 that's been kind of on and off with the driver versions (I know I can revert, but it's too much of a hassle for a relatively minor problem), but the Radeon HD 7870 runs super hot and for some reason requires manual fan control or just overheats and causes the machine to reboot. I am currently leaning towards the new AMD cards, but will wait for review, and am even considering upgrading from my Ryzen 5 3600 to a 5000 series CPU on my x570 board since it will (presumably) be the last set of AM4 CPUs. I have never had a fully cutting edge computer, and am considering upgrading to it soonish, then keep using that for the next 8-10 years (my last cpu was a i5-2500k). I wanted to get people's experiences on RDNA 1 cards and RTX 2000 (or 3000) under linux systems. btw I use Arch.

I was looking on Corsair's website, window-shopping as all PC enthusiasts do, and I decided to see if they did anything new in the custom cooling space. I was delighted to see that they have. Several new waterblocks are available, including a revised version of the XC7 CPU block and a black version of the XC9. But what caught my attention the most were the two new GPU water blocks, for the founders edition RTX 3080 and 3090. And, as expected from everything made by Corsair, they look beautiful. The block is much shorter than the previous XG7s, since the FE cards sport a shortened PCB. Also, the inlet and outlet ports have been changed from the solid black plastic of the previous XG7s to semi-transparent acrylic, which shows off the block's RGB lighting (This effect is better shown than described, so I've put a few pictures of it down below). In addition to this, the top part has been changed to resemble Corsair's Dominator Platinum RGB memory, which I find oddly amusing since if the ports were removed it would look like a more cartoony version of that memory. They've also changed the design of the backplate, which now instead of having the Hydro X logo on it has a very cool-looking design consisting of dozens of light-gray triangles, all of which surround the new Corsair logo (which, by the way, I am VERY much a fan of, since it looks a lot cleaner). All of these revisions make the block look a lot nicer in my opinion, but it's all aaesthetic up to this point. The least obvious of the revisions is the most important one of all. Corsair's previous XG7 blocks for the RTX 20 series were great. They were, at least in my opinion, the best looking waterblocks out there, but they had a somewhat major design flaw: if pressure was put on the front of the top part with the ports, the block would forcefully jet out the coolant from that area. This was because Corsair only used two screws to hold that part in place, with nothing holding the middle down. The situation where this flaw becomes something you need to worry about is very specific and rare, but it was a flaw nonetheless. With the new XG7s, Corsair went and added a THIRD screw holding the top in place by the middle, which should completely eliminate the problem. Even though it's not a situation most people would find themselves in, I'm glad Corsair fixed this problem, because it shows that they actually listen to their customers. I haven't gotten my hands on one of these blocks yet (don't think anyone has actually), and even if I did the cards themselves are rarer than TF2 updates, but from what I can tell they're beautiful and definitely worth considering for those who are thinking on professionally voiding their card's warranty.

Hey there, I bought an new PSU, the "Seasonic Prime PX-1000", because I thought the, in title mentioned, GPU would tripp the OCP of my old PSU (Corsair HX750i). Now I think the GPU tripps the OCP from the new PSU too. Because the PC sometimes reboots randomly still. I read the PSU needs a good Transient Response because of the power spickes from this types of GPU´s. But there my knowledge ends and I am out of answers. Now my question: What PSU works well for the Asus TUF 3080 ti? Thanks. PS: Sorry for bad language i am not a native speaker

Hello. I'm looking to buy a new GPU, for gaming purposes. Have 16gb rams, Ryzen 5 3600, b550 phantom gaming motherboard. I will pair it with 1080p 144hz monitor, will play wide variety of games, WoW, rocket league, dota 2, elden ring, god of war, cyberpunk 2077 and other modern games. So I'd like to get one of the three mentioned below: Rx 6600xt, rx6650xt, rtx 3060. Sadly 3060ti is out of question ATM since it's 150 euro more expensive in stores in my country. So please give me some insight. Here's what I have found on YouTube, but those reviews are most likely sponsored and biased but basically 6600xt outperforms 3060 by a decent margin(according to videos), 6650xt is more expensive then 6600xt and only slightly better(again, according to videos). P.S. stay safe and take care.

This only really applies to the Founders Edition of the 3000 series cards but what do potential cooling set ups look like on those. Seems like if your opting for one of the founders editions that air cooling would be the better way to go but could water cooling your CPU actually be worse or at least not as efficient as air cooling? Would there even be a difference?

Hi, Title says half of it. Would you sacrifice a lot of performance if you used a PCIe Gen 4 GPU (eg. RTX 3000) on a Gen 3 motherboard? I'm currently looking to upgrade my little beast of a potato. Currently thinking between that or lowballing a RTX 2080 Ti or a GTX 1080 Ti... Thx! NHL. PS: I'm gaming on 1080p 60Hz but gonna upgrade soon to 1440p 144Hz!

Hey guys, first post! Maybe this gets asked hell of a lot of times, but I got a RX5600 (non-XT, OEM Version) and a Ryzen 5 1600 (AF Model if that matters) and I've been thinking if I should wait for the RTX 3060 or get a RX 5700XT or an RTX2060S/2070. I don't care if the part's used or not, and I really just want 1080P Ultra 60+FPS for the future (Cyberpunk 2077 and later).

Kitguru article on new 12 pin cable After watching the WAN show this week I was looking if my PSU would work for the new cards. Found this article with a confirmation that Seasonic already has produced the adapter we will need for the new cards. This should bring us the comparability we need from existing modular power supplies given you have enough power behind it. If the cable can carry 600w, than you should probably check the actual power draw at load to see if your current PSU can handle the power load. My 750W PSU would possibly be fine for lower end rtx3000 but may not be able to make it for the higher end. But I dont think I would like to even run such a high power card, given the total cost to run the card with more electricity. This may be a situation you find yourself in too, so be sure to make sure your new card is the one for you and your needs.

I'm a bit confused about the orientation of the 3070s cooler since on some pictures the fans seem to face up towards the cpu while on others it looks like the classic downward facing design.
