Pc - AMD RYZEN 5 5600 - ASUS EVO DUAL OC RTX 2070 SUPER - GIGABYTE B450 GAMING - 2(X8GB) HYPERX RAM SYMPTOMS : 1- Pc goes black screen when I restart it with gpu fans at 100% (rest button / windows restart) 2- Booting pc from OFF flickers all fans quick and turns off (turning the psu off and waiting for a tic fixes it but need to do it every single time) 3- Pc goes black screen and gpu fan at 100% when rebooting into bios (not always) Things I tried : Using my GPU (2070s - its using 1x8 and 1x6 Pcie Cable) on my Friends PC (it worked with no errors) Using my friends Gpu (3060ti - its using 1x8 Pcie cable) on my Pc (no errors at all on my pc it works wonders with his gpu.... but mine works well on his too???) Using a different power from other room resulted into less black screen fan 100 ... but never zero. Using different CPU (1700x) different rams .... and different drives to boot from (with fresh windows install on all) - This issue seems to also happen when trying to boot into the usb from bios too but why ???? Cleaning everything carefully and the pcie cable itself as I saw on one ltt post just to be ultra sure ... but it was not the case. Should I ? -buy new Psu ? ( some ppl say my cooler master mwe is a bad psu) -buy new Gpu or fix it ? Or maybe something else you can help me with because at this point I have no clue what is causing this issue... Side thing but not that important ... For me I am planning on fixing the gpu with new thermal pads (2mm) but it does it when gpu is cold so might not help but I will still do it. (note new thermal paste is on gpu so its not over heating issue) I will appreciate all help thank you <3.

I bought a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC White way back in December as a Christmas present for myself, and a few months after buying it I suddenly noticed the GPU fans will randomly ramp up to ~4,000 RPM for a second or so, and then go back down to the normal ~2,000-2,500 RPM that I have set on my fan curve. This will happen every few minutes or so while the GPU is under load, but I've noticed that it's almost guaranteed to happen when loading into battles and loading the garage in War Thunder. According to HWiNFO, my GPU never goes any higher than ~74 degrees when playing games, and according to my fan curve, my GPU fan should be sitting around 74% speed, or ~2,300 RPM - which it does perfectly fine, except for the few seconds that it decides to ramp up to 4,000 RPM. I do some very minor overclocking with MSI Afterburner, which I also use for my fan curve. I've tried disabling MSI Afterburner's overclock, using Gigabyte's shitty Aorus Engine fan control instead, using no fan control at all, etc. but to no avail. I also use Process Lasso for RAM cleaning and core prio and stuff, but afaik that program doesn't touch GPU fan control at all. The GPU is practically new, so dust shouldn't be any sort of issue, but I even looked in the system and gave it a good spray just in case. Also tried updating drivers, downgrading drivers, removing and re-seating the GPU, basically everything I can think of. So to me it looks like all I can do is just RMA. But that's where this post comes in. I've heard so, so many horror stories about Gigabyte support and RMA. Either it taking months to get their parts back, getting their parts back still broken and needing to RMA again, waiting weeks for replies from support, and overall just very shitty customer service. I was about to RMA, but the problem started happening right around when everything started getting crazy with the pandemic (coincidence?). After hearing all these horror stories not only about Gigabyte, but about tremendously long shipping times and whatnot in general, I decided I'd just deal with the noise because I was living with my family and had my own room. I'm back at college now, though (for now at least..), and I feel as if the noise of my GPU fans are too loud and I feel too embarrassed to play games when my roommate is in the room (all his classes are online so he hasn't left the dorm since Sunday morning, send help). So basically I'd be incredibly grateful for any sort of ideas on what the issue could be so that I could avoid an RMA, if possible. I'd be more than happy to supply any sort of test results or information that you may need to help troubleshoot - thanks so much!

https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/accessories-and-monitors/graphic-cards/graphic-cards/GRAPHIC-BO-TS-NV-RTX2070-Super-Graphics/p/4X61A22495 this card here has confused me, I just want to know if anyone has one of these or if anyone knows anything about them. Also considering the current gpu market situatuon, is this card worth the current asking price of £583.80 So far what I have read is that the card is baised on an msi design and is a fe board but I could be wrong, anyways I just found it interesting

This is my old Zotac 2070 mini super. The GPU threw a fan blade. I just decided to replace the 2070 with a 3090 but I am preparing to do a new build and would like to re-use this GPU gpu. I found the fans I needed but there is one issue, one of the screws is stripped so I am not able to remove the fan shroud. The card is still functional. What should I do?

My PC was underperforming and the reason why is not something I expected. tl;dr: (But I recommend reading everything anyway) Basically, my GPU was running on PCIe x2 speeds even though it was seated in an x16 slot and no other hardware limiting it. The only reason I discovered this was because I noticed this small detail in GPU-Z. I noticed that I wasn't getting the performance that I was used to. My PC has trouble performing like expected ever since I got it, but this time it was really noticeable. In Red Dead Redemption 2 where I usually get above 60 fps at all times and often in the 70s, I was struggling to reach 50. In Planet Coaster, at a reasonably small park where I used to get in the 80s now had trouble reaching even 30. This was the worst case. Generally every game felt more sluggish than I was used to. I tried so much like thinking my in-game setting were reset and trying to tinker with them again, reinstalling drivers and changing settings in Windows... I even did a clean install of Windows entirely and it didn't fix anything. It's this little line in GPU-Z that gave away the issue. While it detected that the card was slotted in an x16 slot, the card was running at x2 which is shown after the @ sign that in the case of this picture is back at x16 since I fixed it. It's possible that the card runs at x2 to save power when not under load but mine was constantly at x2 even under the most heavy loads I could put it in. I decided to reseat the GPU and while I was at it, try to clean out any dust with a PC duster. Sure enough in GPU-Z it stated that I was running at x16 speeds again and guess what.. All my games run perfectly fine again. Way smoother, way faster. Maybe even faster than before. What completely blows me away is how an issue like this can drastically worsen your performance, yet there is not a single sign that there is an underlying problem. I also never heard of this happening before. Only when using software or other means to see what speeds your PCIe slot is running at, would you stumble upon it. An average user would not discover this at all. With average I mean someone that doesn't really know that much about a computer. People on this sub would probably have a way higher chance of discovering this.

Specs: GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 Super WINDFORCE OC 8G CPU: i5-9600k RAM: 16GB 2666 Storage: Samsung 970 EVO plus, 250GB M.2 SSD Power Supply: GIGABYTE B700H Motherboard: AsRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4 Case: Sharkoon VG6-W Red Recently my graphics card started to have overheating issues. It doesn't take long for it to reach the 80's and rising to 85's. The memory in particular is getting to that critical 100 degrees Celsius and is probably the primary reason why my pc almost crashes completely sometimes. For example when I'm playing BFV it could happen that my PC freezes and the screen goes black, then the game crashes and I go back to desktop like nothing happened. My PC was also getting considerably louder over the last few months, presumably because of the graphics card fans having to work harder and harder. When I remove the side panel of my PC the temps are way better. The GPU barely reaches 80 at all and I can play as long as I want without overheating issues. Right now at idle with the side panel off, the GPU is 43 degrees Celsius and the memory is 53. I have two intake fans at the front and one exhaust at the back and all are preinstalled fans that came with the case. The ambient temperature is regular room temperature. Does this mean that I have bad airflow or is my GPU unable to cool itself properly? The card is only two years old. The only thing that could have caused this that comes to mind is that I did some light mining for a month with nicehash but I lost interest in doing that.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has a decent fan curve for my dell oem RTX 2070 super. I do have my card overclocked and at idle i sit at around 50-55c with the stock fan curve, and when gaming ive see it hit as high as 90c. I have tried to mess around with the fan curve before but just never found a good one that satisfied my needs of temps and noise. TLDR; I need a good fan curve for my blower RTX 2070 super

Hi! My RTX 2070 Super 8gb is extremely underperforming. I’m getting 110fps on Warzone on 1080p with Low Setting (because I have a 144hz Monitor) and the GPU usage is at 75%. When I change the Graphic Settings to High/Ultra the FPS doesn’t change at all but the GPU usages go up. MY SETUP: Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2070 Super 8gb, Ballistic 8gbx2 2666Mhz, ASUS B450m MOBO. If anybody can help I’d really appreciate it!

I am playing Worms W.M.D. on Xbox Game Pass. During game play, video becomes super laggy and controls are delayed. When I right click to pull up the weapon inventory, the game seems to run smoothly. Same with when I launch the windows start menu. When I'm "unfocused" on the game in general, it seems to be running smoothly. This is while all 4 screen are running. I disconnected all but one monitor and now the game runs smoothly. I'm wondering if maybe I'm pushing the card too hard? Is there a way to possibly run two cards? One for strictly for gaming/streaming, and one for the system? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need any more information. Thank you very much. Specs: Windows 10 build 19041.685, Intel i9 9900k, 32GB 1066mhz, RTX 2070 super, z390 aorus ultra, NVIDIA game ready driver 460.89 4 monitors: LG Ultrawide 2560x1080 60hz (horizonal), LG Ultrawide 2560x1080 60hz (horizontal), LG Ultrawide 2560x1080 60hz (vertical), Cintiq 21UX 1600x1200 60hz

First of all, I have a Quadro 4000 from 2010, not the RTX one. It’s just collecting dust after I got it from a friend who was a tech hoarder. I thought it was cool. I was wondering is it possible for me to put this in my computer with my RTX 2070 Super, so that the Quadro would run a second screen and the 2070 Super would run my main screen and games? Or is this just not possible?

My NZXT H210 Dual AIO build. SInce I had alot of uncertainties on the GPU aio process, I've decide to post this to help anyone attempting it. The CPU AIO is pretty common so no need to add to it and it pretty straightforward. The GPU required removing the fan shroud and heatsink with many little screws to wonder about. In my case with a Galax RTX2070 Super OC. I only needed to remove the 6 big screws on the back of the card and the whole heat sink assembly can be removed. It's was also held firmly together by the thermal paste and putty so a small amount of gentle pressure pried them apart. The AIO kit came with heat sinks which I stuck on with the thermal conductive tape. Most notably the VRAM on two sides of the GPU die were so close to the AIO pump that they had to be offset slightly to one side. Dont think it'll affect too much as its still 80% covered by the sink. Picture before i turned them 90 degress to give more clearance. All in all not too complicated though being my first time and all I took time to test fit and refit a few times to check clearances. Done! Temps for reference Ambient - 26 degrees celsius GPU idle 30-33 deg Modern Warfare 1440 ultrawide 50-55deg Superposition Extreme 1080 peak 60deg CPU idle 38-42deg Modern Warfare 1440 ultrawide 55deg Cinebench R20 (repeated runs) steady at 70deg I mm still wondering about the fan orientation with the current setup front 240 radiator intake with fans on pull rear 120 radiator exhaust with fan on push feels warm when on full load top fan on exhaust the air coming out of the case here feels cool at most times when on heavy load the it feels lightly warm.

Hi, May be silly issue for you guys. I have ASUS P9X79-E WS and I replaced my GeForce GTX 970 with the RTX 2070 Super and after turning the machine on there is nothing on the screen... I checked all the power connections, two different PCI slots, etc. The error code was 62 on the motherboard, now is 29... I have updated latest BIOS but I'm afraid my motherboard is just too old, can this be a problem? https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P9X79E_WS/specifications/ I just wanted better graphic, I can't build whole new pc right now I checked few websites and they say the RTX 2070 Super is compatible with this motherboard, but it doesn't work. I checked 2 different slots, uninstalled all Nvidia drivers etc. before replacing the cards and nothing. I appreciate any help before I'll have to send the card back to Amazon, Thank you. Hello, recently I bought RTX 2070 Super and it's been mostly fine, but here's the problem: it's doing great in demanding 3D games (like Doom Eternal) but seems to be stuttering a lot in more simple games, like Terraria. By stuttering I mean high FPS but clearly not smooth at all. I think microstuttering is the term. Another example: in Fury Unleashed (2D platformer with some shader effects) it's 144fps smooth but occasionally it stutters for a few seconds without dropping any frames. Mouse cursor feels very nasty to move at that time. Also in Subnautica it's mostly fine as far old Unity game goes (60-80fps), but sometimes there's a noticeable stutter when I open inventory menu. Some other games I tested which run great: Killing Floor 2, Euro Truck Sim 2, Rocket League and Grim Dawn. Here's my system: Win7 64 i7-4790K Asus B85 Pro Gamer 16GB RAM 650W PSU Corsair I think 1440p 144hz monitor I used to have GTX 970 and installed it back to test and all 2D games run smooth as they used to. So I reckon the problem is within the new GPU or there's some sort of incompatibility. I thought CPU is bottlenecking but it never gets to 100%, besides games like Terraria aren't very demanding in the first place. Here are things I've tried: -Setting Power Management to maximum -Clearing old drivers with DDU and testing 442.74 and 445.87 versions -Various fixes for microstuttering I found on Youtube -Messing with Vsync (limiting to 60 and unlocking) Any ideas and suggestions are very welcome.

Hi guys! I'm really lost here. The setup: This is my system: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gfpF9G for shorts, CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x Mobo: Asus TUF gaming X570 plus RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000Mhz C16 GPU: Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX2070Super SSD: Silicon Power A55 512Gb The Problem: Whenever I'm playing COD Warzone I have a lot of stuttering, look at this https://streamable.com/e2pslc https://streamable.com/e6vrrt https://streamable.com/zlq1kg https://streamable.com/6oy5y3 https://streamable.com/w2qdlg https://streamable.com/75rle7 This also happens when the game is on Single player, so I tried another game, Battlefield 1, And it is also happening here. Also, when I'm working with a lot of programs it happens as well (I'm a developer, and sometimes I have my machine running at leas 1 virtual machine and some other Ram consuming programs) The Solutions I tried: Up to now I have tested the following things: # Updated my BIOS, this is the first thing I tried, I'm running the latest one (build 1407). Didn't solve the stutters. # I though it was a CPU temp. Before updating the Bios I saw some 92 or something like that and I really freaked out. now after the Bios upgrade and some added coolers to the case the temps improved a lot. It stays at 40-something on idle and is really easy to reach 70ish temps. But I also added 3 CPU fans and the temperatures improved a lot. This didn't solve the stutters. # I read somewhere that it may be a HDD problem, I changed power settings to never put HDD to sleep. it didn't solve my problem. # Driver Updates, done (CPU, GPU, chipset, you name it) # Game Graphics configuration (tried minimum, tried disabling that antialising) tried all sort of things I read on reddit, but nothing worked. # I'm starting to think it is the ram sticks. I tried the enabling DOCP from BIOS, but just doing that changed everything to let my board handle the 3000Mhz, and the system just didn't POST, since my idea was not overclock, but use this system just the way it is, I didn't give it any importance, but I can't play on this computer the way it is right now. Here are some logs from my AfterBurner, There are some estrange things going on but since I don't know really how to use this I may not be able to show it to you, I will try to make some other logs to give you some more information. I can try whatever you think it would be. thanks a lot! EDIT: [Solution] The problem fixed itself after I bought the proper Ram Sticks (G Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16Gb 3600 Mhz)

Just wondering but what is the main difference between the RTX 2070 Super and the Radeon RX 5700XT. Which one performs better overall and which one is better for its price. What are each GPU's pros and cons and what is the main difference between the two graphics cards? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Just wanted to share my worst experience with a computer store, my recent experience with Memory Express, as well as hear other people's worsts. I've never really had bad experiences at computer stores as well as Memory Express in the past. I usually buy something, it works, end of story. But recently I had a really bad experience, that I think would make for a funny story. I wanted a Aorus RTX 2070 Super for my new build (currently around 950 CAD after tax). Online ordering from Memory Express was the only place that had the card in stock at the time, so I went a head and ordered it (May 5th). The card arrived on the 9th, got it put in my build and everything seemed fine, but didn't really get a chance to set up my new computer as I was busy. So on the weekend of the 22nd, I finally had time to set everything up, and started playing with the cards RGB lighting. It was then I noticed for a section of the heat sink, the light shined through it funny. On closer inspection, a set of the heat sinks just barely hidden by the shroud was pretty bent and even mangled to some extent. Naturally I didn't want a product that I just bought pretty much have damages on it out of the box, especially when I paid almost $1000 for it. I contacted Memory Express by email for a RMA with photo's attached to see what can be done (they aren't talking calls, and I didn't really want to go in person with all that's happening with COVID-19). They were extreme responsive at first replying within like an hour, offered to investigate, and ask me to send them more photos of the like the box, and the shipping packaging. Seems like where were trying to pin the blame on the courier, but after they realized that the boxes were in good condition, they pretty much ghosted me (Or maybe they just suddenly became really busy very very suddenly, who knows...?). Now we are at the good part of the story! After not getting a reply for more than one whole day, I decided to go to the store in person the next day, in case they really did ghost me. And I know it's been past the 7 days for return/exchange policy, but I tried my luck and plain asked for an exchange. I was then greeted by the women that I was in contact with through email. She very defensive and condescending, and said the damaged was caused by user handling, which pretty much meant she said I caused it. I told her I didn't cause it, and that it was under the shroud, so I can't even touch it. She then said it was caused by squeezing the shroud too hard, but her logic was wrong. I told her that I never squeezed it like that, and plastic doesn't bend like that in the first place. I'm not an expert on how plastics and materials bend and deform, but I don't think I am completely stupid on the matter either. (FYI, when I got the chance to, after I got home, I squeezed the shroud in every location possible, and it will hit an undamaged section of the heat sinks first always!) After that she basically went full forensics detective on me, started talking about how the metal of heat sinks bend and when in to metallurgy (yes, she literally used the word "metallurgy" on me), and even went on comparing the metal of the heat sink to the metal of an aircraft. I am no professional on these subjects, but do I have an Engineering degree, and have designed numerous industrial steel structures, but here I am getting lectured in Memory Express by one of their employees on metallurgy and aircraft engineering. She tried to use lots of technical Jargon, but her logic completely flawed. I tried to tell her that, but she kept interrupting me and telling me that "It has been concluded that the damaged was caused by user handling", "We are not talking about this anymore.", and "There is nothing we can do for you." At one point I even challenged her to squeeze it and show me how it would bend those heat sinks, but she wouldn't have it. We argued for about an hour or so with it going absolutely nowhere. She did some where near the end offered to help send the product to the manufacture, while also stating "Physical damaged won't be covered". I obviously rejected that, as to who knows if she is able to, or will, forward her false conclusions to the manufacture as well. Also I don't want to be without a video card that long. That's pretty much when I left. I was trying my luck on an exchange, hoping for store credit, but was excepting an offer to facilitate something with the manufacture (like what they are suppose to do). But I didn't expect to get a free lecture on metallurgy and aircraft engineering. I hope somebody out here gets a kick out of my bad experience, at least then there is a positive to this.
